so Matt 12 unders leading which sounds like a lot under par but what’s your mindset do you think you have to press the gas and go after or do you anticipate this course firming up and the guys might come back to you well I was just saying to Bob there that yeah because you know 12 under leading it seems like a big a big deficit but second’s nine under and you know obviously Cam’s playing great but you know has he you know if he gets off to a slower start or he doesn’t play great tomorrow then obviously it starts to open things up a bit so all I can do is go out there and try and get off to a nice start again like I did today and uh I I think the key is not to force things i think that uh it will get firmer it will get a little harder over the weekend um so nothing much really changes but I you know if it gets late tomorrow and I’m finding myself you know quite quite a ways back or I’m still six seven back like I may need to take a few more chances but uh you know starting out tomorrow it’ll just be kind of the same game plan and um you know try and try and pick off a few early and and uh keep that going at this um stage of the week on a on a golf course you don’t know that well do you go into tomorrow thinking I I know exactly what I have to do now there’s no more tricks you figured it out yeah I think that uh every day you’re on this course you uh you pick up some some new knowledge um we’ve played it in a couple different wins now and uh it’ll be a little bit different tomorrow even as well so I think it just requires a bit more uh prep work in advance like you you’re looking at some of the T- shots how they’re going to play off the tea like today they moved around a few t uh t blocks and uh that changed a few of the club selections off the tea so um I feel comfortable and confident in what to do but the you know the course changes you know small bits dayto day um but yeah tomorrow uh get a good game plan and uh I am starting to feel a little more comfortable around here mac uh obviously the better weather today meant more fans out they’re louder today how much has that helped you and an old Canadian group yeah I I I felt like really early on uh you know me and the boys were playing were playing nice and uh having those putts go in and making the birdies early i felt like we got the got the crowds behind us uh pretty quickly and um you know that was a lot of fun i started to kind of like feel like the whole group was kind of being carried by the by the fans there and um yeah uh was pretty electric there on the rink and um we were we we were enjoying it for sure you touched on this a little in your answers to Jason uh but how much was it your strategy just to come out really strong on that front nine yeah I mean I don’t know if it was necessarily like a a tactic or a strategy but um I knew that I was you know quite a bit behind starting the day and that uh you know getting myself back into the tournament uh was going to require me to to be a little aggressive and uh obviously the start was was was fantastic and uh you know I didn’t keep that going unfortunately but um I think I did enough to kind of get my nose up there in in contention a little bit and uh two more long days to go m kinds of of scores today how this course changed since yesterday i think just like for the guys that played yesterday morning uh it felt quite a bit different because uh the ball was quite going quite a bit further uh we weren’t getting rained on so um and the ball we felt like the ball was going pretty far today uh in in the heat so I think that’s been something that’s um we’re trying to keep an eye on is how far the ball’s going and especially like today you know playing it when it’s a bit firmer bit windier uh the ball was going pretty far so um yeah I think the course is changing a little bit um and uh you know guys are still kind of learning this golf course as as we go so um you know even myself I feel like I’m still you know picking up knowledge uh each day so yeah I think just not knowing where the the best misses are um kind of makes things a bit tricky so um yeah everyone’s still learning this golf course and uh I think it’s starting to play the way it should play uh now yeah yeah appreciate it
