Connor Syme Breaks Through For 1st DP World Tour Win

Connor Syme spoke to the media after winning the KLM Open, where he was asked:

– How does it feel to get your first win on the DP World Tour?
– How proud are you of how you battled through tough conditions this week?
– How much of a relief is it to get this win?

it’s just amazing Yeah it’s obviously been very hectic since um since winning I’m still absolutely stinking of champagne but um yeah I’m absolutely delighted Um yeah I haven’t really probably thought about it actually It’s just amazing Absolutely amazing Especially the weekend it was so so tricky Um yesterday was obviously an amazing round and um it was tough today I just kept really trying to stick to my my processes and it’s so difficult not to try and think too far ahead and think about the moment of what it would feel like to do it But um yeah I just managed to keep keep sticking keep sticking with it and managed to get it done I suppose you don’t really know you can actually do it until you have done it and um I mentioned a few times that I hadn’t won to like my Ryan especially and he’s like you have won you’ve won plenty of times an amateur and won a lot on the one on the challenge tour and um definitely probably gave me a little bit of a okay and I I definitely know I can do it but it’s obviously doing it at this stage and that’s what I was thinking about in that part I was just thinking about like just as a little kid putting on the putting green at Dumpre County just trying to trying to have moments like that and I was um I was able to do it
