The Hater Series returns this week with Season Two, and the $25K grudge match has been scheduled at the venerable Pasatiempo Golf Club. We discuss the hate Riggs gets, YouTube Golf, Scottie Scheffler’s dominance at The Memorial and over the last three years, Jack’s pointed comments, Rory’s bizarre stretch since The Masters, the U.S. Women’s Open at Erin Hills, Charlie Woods’ big victory, Happy Gilmore 2 and much more.

big show today a lot going on in the world including Scotty Sheffller has won yet again we’re going to figure out ways to describe and talk about that differently than we have before we’ve got Rory Mroy uh you know Jack Nicholas made a couple comments about Rory not showing up not a phone call we get into that where’s Rory at we kind of debate that we debate is Rory going to win the US Open or is Rory going to retire we really can’t tell right now and then we get into US Women’s Open we got some show recommendations we got hater match $25,000 match hater series is returning a lot going on in the golf world for us right now Trent it’s all brought to you by Chevy yeah jam-packed show really you know good to be back good talking golf a lot of Jack talk some Jack quotes that I think people are going to find very interesting a lot of Ben Griffin talk a lot of shirtless men at sporting events talk so it’s it’s a full show and it’s all brought to you by our great friends at Chevrolet athletic bold commanding of its distance you’re after equinox EV offers 319 miles of EPA estimated electric range with frontwheel drive leave the driving to Equinox EV and show up to the course energized with available Super Cruise hands-free driver assistance technology equinox EV also has a massive 17in diagonal center screen the largest of any EV in its class all of this is brought to you by our presenting sponsor Chevrolet when it comes to EVs Equinox EV is the smartest choice you can make if you’re showing your ankles a lot and you’re wearing golf dad hat that means we did something right yeah these are hot guys you’re talking about did you guys see the guy who showed his nipples on the memorial coverage yesterday of course hard to miss it can you believe that as soon as I saw it I knew he’s the type of guy who wants to be shirtless on national television he had a nice shirtless body you know what I’m saying like he was pretty jacked if I looked like that I’d be shirtless right now i I would I would do every podcast shirtless if I looked like that guy four play presented by Barcel Sports we got myself Frankie and Trent we are back a lot going on in the world uh of golf right now we’re a week away from the United States Open at Oakmont scotty Shuffer with another massive victory aaron Hills in the US Women’s Open which is their biggest event on the calendar was phenomenal so we got a lot to break down there um some logistical things real quick uh the hater series is back this week so yes uh season two you know last last year 2024 we put out four videos we’ll call that season one we were two and two we had some great moments we had some horrible moments um but it was two and two people love the series uh I love playing them as folks know i can be kind of a competitive crazy person out there i love to compete i live for it so I get a lot of [ __ ] on the internet everybody knows that so he said “Fine [ __ ] you we’re going to play each other in one-on-one matches we’re going to find people that hate upon me.” Brendan Kyle Tims our whole crew has been great at combing through finding people we’re trying to set up dates we’re trying to find golf courses we’re trying to find the right handicap so that the match is close we don’t have to do strokes all that stuff couple weeks ago out here in Arizona we filmed season two the beginning of season two we filmed three matches uh we played a six handicap a four handicap a two handicap we play straight up uh monoemano match play and we see who wins wednesday we’ve got Kyle from Philadelphia he was about as Philly as it gets the very first swing I took on the range he was like “Oh there’s the toe tap in real life.” Kind of like Jersey Jerry has done and was chirping me so I wanted to beat the [ __ ] out of him from the second that I met him um and see and Hater is back so Wednesday it is the fifth ever episode of the Hater series it’s the difference between going you know winning record or losing record and uh and it’s go time gentlemen it’s the best series that we got going because there’s real blood there’s real hate there’s nothing that is fabricated about it not that we fabricate anything else but like this one truly uh you know you got guys just keyboard warrioring warrioring away on you and it’s just nonstop just getting bombarded with hate every single video we post it’s nonstop rigs comments and you just go out there you say “You know what if you don’t like the way I play if you don’t like my swing you don’t like my putting stroke play me in a match and we’ll post it.” And that’s just simply what you do and I’ll say this right now we’re recording this on June 2nd this is Riggs’s series if any and YouTube Golf everything there’s a lot of parody in it everyone just does matches right even though like we may have been the first ones that did hey four guys could probably beat a pro should we go try it out at punish number two yeah Ker around let’s go do it during the pandemic now everyone’s got guys against pros we won that match by the way we won that match at Punish number two against Kevin Ker there’s a lot of different things that all kind of get used and that’s fine like we view stuff from good good like there’s a lot of different things that you can do and you can kind of collaborate in that this is bar stool rigs series nobody deserves the hater series to to own more than you nobody gets more hate than you nobody has answered the call more than you this is yours so we’re saying it on June 2nd this is Rigs’s series can we all agree on that well that’s what I was going to say it’s such an original unique idea and that’s what makes it great like Frankie is alluding to like everybody’s doing everything now the world has gotten so big in terms of YouTube golf that you don’t you can’t even trace I mean you probably could if you wanted to but like trace back where all these ideas came from if somebody wants to do that go ahead and do it but this haters series it’s unique and original because nobody else is doing it and that and I would I think if like anybody else tries to do it Frankie’s right it’s like nobody gets nearly the amount of hate that Rigs does so it wouldn’t make any sense like it’s like that’s why it’s his thing and that’s why he can find so many people who are willing to do it it’s because no offense you get the most hate on the internet in terms of YouTube golf so it’s like that’s why it’s a rigs barcel series and I completely agree with at some point originality needs to start mattering and like this is an original idea we have a lot of original ideas but this one’s like we sat around we couldn’t believe how much hate this guy was getting i remember where we were we were doing that tailor made shoot and you when I pitched it to you guys to four years ago yep and you’re like I think that like it’s clear that I can’t turn the tides at this point like the the the cat is out of the bag so I think I need to start fighting them oneon-one and just taking each guy on and we’re like wow i don’t know if that’s going to work like will you get true haters that are like true dick bags that’ll show up and really give you the [ __ ] and still try and beat you and yes we saw in season 1 all the guys were like outrageous dicks that were just saying the meanest things online showed up and were true to their character and like stayed kind of like chirping you and some guys ended up like throwing their guard down a little bit but other guys kept it up and I think what from what I’ve heard for season 2 you won’t believe the characters that show up to the golf course i was talking with our guys because a lot of times we just do like a teaser per video and I was like I think we need to do a trailer or a teaser for the whole season two because the characters this time people are learning and they’re learning that you know I remember when so when I first pitched it to you guys I was like I kind of have this idea of like leaning into it whatever and it was a little bit more of like we’re going to invite them we’re going to play and it’s going to be a little bit more kumbaya in terms of like realizing like this person’s probably not going to actually hate me I’m probably actually going to hate them we rode in the same cart and that ended up like the first match it was great it was people loved it whatever but we ended up being like buddy buddy because if you’re two human beings unless you’re like a [ __ ] serial killer or a terrorist you’re two like human beings sitting in a golf cart together and you come from the world of golf you’re probably going to end up like chit chatting go ahead tell me about your [ __ ] kids or whatever it’s like you can’t not do that and that’s what we were doing now we do separate carts we keep it where you’re apart from each other you end up talking [ __ ] about the other guy to the camera brendan and the guys do an amazing job of like interviewing the guys about what like they have to own up to what they have said before brendan like reads on a piece of paper like you said this this this and this on the internet about rigs a total stranger what do you have to say for yourself they like have to say all of that and it builds it up to it’s as real as it gets like I’m sorry but I have I have such little respect for people that just hate on other people on the internet and that’s that’s outside of YouTube golf that’s like a phenomenon that everybody is aware of you could look at any celebrity women get it worse than men but like hate on the internet is just a thing there’s haters there’s trolls everybody knows it’s a thing in our world it’s largely targeted towards me and my golf game and like you said Frank people hate my swing they hate my putting stroke they hate my chipping they think I’m a liar about my handicap so that’s where it all came from i’m like fine we can’t turn this around let’s just [ __ ] find these [ __ ] and just take them on oneonone and that’s what we’re doing and boy we got some guys who really stuck to it this time of like they were not showing up to just be buddy buddy uh and it got heated i mean one of the matches there was a legit you know monoemano screaming match disagreement before the first ball was hit before the first T-shot from either person was hit um and so yeah the series is back i I I I cannot believe like we said sitting down after a couple of the videos were filmed we sat there like I think people are going to think that we planted this person because of how outrageous that [ __ ] match went it was and that’s all we like that’s perfect and honestly shout out to those guys for putting themselves out there and like being in a video like labeled as an internet troll like I think one of the I think one of the headlines one of the titles on YouTube is like internet troll challenges rigs and it’s like his face on YouTube and the video got like 400 thou like 400,000 people watched it you guys ever sit there and think about those numbers too like even on a low video for us if like something does like 125,000 videos and you think about how many people that is that are watching us play this game of golf like pieces of [ __ ] just like real pieces of [ __ ] just so many individual people sitting there being like Trent’s got to chip this you know what I mean it’s like think about a hundred that’s a low number right the chicklet video is cruising past a million people but like that that Grant Horvat is like averaging right now like 2 million episode right now that’s so many goddamn people watching golf there is a part of me that thinks all of it is a pyramid scheme or like it’s not real like I’m pretty sure like every time we put out a breaking 85 or whatever I’m like 14 people are going to watch this thing that’s how many people are going to tune into this video go on YouTube search it find it and watch it and then yeah I mean the hater series does really well the breaking 85 the one we just put out last week is doing really well like it’s Yeah no I’m with you Frankie i I I really can’t wrap my head around it i Whenever we do something or do a podcast 14 people is where I pretty much ballpark on how many people are going to hear it or see it and it’s just Yeah it’s mindboggling just when you take it like person by person like each individual like in my life if three people messaged me about a video I’m like whoa like three of my friends watch this and they have comments on it right and then you get to like those numbers of like 522,000 of those people it’s a lot so it’s really a call a call out to thank all the people that are listening to this episode all the people that watch on YouTube it’s amazing that how uh big golf has gotten and I think we we we’re just in awe of just all of this stuff you know it’s just crazy every single time we post something it could be the end and then it just keeps going it’s the it’s the number one thing positive that I do say to every one of these guys that shows up is I always shake their hand and I say “Hey honestly thanks for doing this.” Cuz if you don’t show up we don’t have content like if you didn’t agree to do this we don’t have a product it’s their video really like you know what I mean like it’s their time to shine if we’re Apple you’re our iPhone screen like we got to have you otherwise we just like don’t have a product so thank you for coming and then I’m usually and then usually everything else is very negative between us so the hater series is back i believe Wednesday is the day um Kyle from Philly and um and it’s a hell of a match it’s at Auction Southern Dunes which is the last time I was there we played Maxoma that’s a US Open qualifying site it’s a difficult golf course uh so yeah we were out there beautiful day in Arizona and it was a battle for the ages and there’s two more episodes coming and then on the you know on the uh on the heels of that the $25,000 match with your friend Kyle I believe is his name also a Kyle has been scheduled and will be played in the next couple weeks so wow uh you know it’s in line part of the hater series that is going to be at the venerable golf club whoa i’m not going to give the date because we don’t want people showing up and Pasa Tampa has been so phenomenal to work with if people don’t know they restored all 18 greens at that golf course over the last two or three years matchanella and the Fire Pit Collective guys have done an unbelievable job documenting that whole thing so if you’re a little bit of a golf sicko go look up those episodes i think it’s a two episode series of the entire restoration pro uh process but Pasato is Alistair McKenzie it is a cross between Augusta National and Cypress Point all three of us here have played there before and it is as cool and good as it gets uh your friend Kyle who’s the who’s the 25K match guy is a San Francisco guy apparently he streams like every day so it’s hard for him to leave so we said “Fine no problem we’ll come to you.” So we’re playing for $25,000 personal money you’re not allowed to have any backing can’t have the company backing it you can’t have advertisers backing it like it changes the nerve levels if this money is coming straight out of your pocket straight off of your [ __ ] table if you got to eat ramen noodles instead of Uber Eats for a month straight that is the difference between hitting a good shot and hitting a bad shot so mono that’s coming up in the next couple weeks at Pasato Boys that’s a great match great venue i love that that’s another blood match i mean 25K out of your own pocket is some serious some serious quola so just thinking about that amount of money exiting a bank account makes me want to throw up it’s a lot there’s a lot of things you could do with 25K i mean I know that money starting to get away from us here in the year 2025 things are just the prices of things are outrageous but 25K 25K still holds up big time big time that’s like a 40 or $45,000 salary i know right down payment on Well I don’t know about the house prices are also going crazy but it’s like that’s a down payment on a house yeah 25 legit i’ve also thought like of that will that will either ruin or make forever all the gambling that I do on the golf course throughout my entire life either net up or net down forever like I don’t know i just I just got like the butterflies in my chest thinking about you playing in that match just like that’s nerve-wracking so good on you for accepting this the fact that someone just said I’ll play for 25k and you said yes bigger man than me i would not have done it i can’t do it i’m I’m too much of a [ __ ] it’s just it’s in it’s just me i just love to compete no matter what like I’m [ __ ] scrappy no matter what we’re doing i want to get out there and I want to compete so win or lose it’s like I’m actually you know we’re never going to get to the point where we’re playing golf on any competitive level event whatever under any circumstances it’s the closest thing we got to playing golf in a way or doing something competitive that matters is this it’s like if you’re like Rory Mroy the biggest thing you could possibly do is show up to the Masters and try to win the Grand Slam of Golf if you’re us or me like the biggest thing I could possibly do is show up defend my name defend the foreplay honor and play somebody for $25,000 like that’s it just as big as it gets that’s a big one that’s an absolute big one so it’s this is the this is like the month of rigs here you’re going to be seeing a lot of these big mashes this is real big stuff can’t wait to see it all uh one thing I had is today if you’re listening to this this is the last day that you can order Father’s Day merchandise and get it in time for Father’s Day i think like six or eight of the items are already sold out the the golf dad stuff has been flying off the shelves we keep restocking it all the hats as you can see here it’s real good quality i don’t have to really pitch it too much on the golf dad stuff you’ve seen a lot of it but just go browse the website this will get to you before Father’s Day our team has been doing a great job of making sure all this stuff gets out so they’re guaranteeing by June 3rd if you order it by today you’ll get it by Father’s Day and you know what better way to give your dad something than something he can wear on the golf course or wear around you know town and let people know that he’s a golf guy that’s what he really wants he’s a If your dad or your husband or your brother they’re golf people this is what they want you know so then get them something don’t let it go and you didn’t get him anything that’s a that’s a bad sibling or son or whatever the great Polar sent a full package of the golf dad stuff and it’s the only thing he’s worn for a week straight literally the only thing he’s worn i’ve been seeing all my my Islander buddies um we had to say goodbye to Brock Nelson he packed up and he he went to uh he went back to Minnesota it’s always it’s always sad to see the guys leave the island and go back to their home cuz like I’m like “Oh this is your home.” Like “Well we come from other places.” So he’s back in he’s back in the great the great state of Minnesota right now and I gave him a golf dad hat and like his face was like “No way.” Like like he saw it and he’s like “This is so cool.” And I gave one to Matt Martin he showed up to Shinock with it on it’s like he wore a golf dad hat to Shinock like are you kidding me these guys love the hat and if they’re wearing it you know it’s cool cuz these are cool guys wearing like they show their ankles a lot if you’re showing your ankles a lot and you’re wearing golf dad hat that means we did something right yeah these are hot guys you’re talking about did you guys see the guy who showed his nipples on the memorial coverage yesterday of course hard to miss it can you believe that as soon as I saw it I knew he’s the type of guy who wants to be shirtless on national television he had a nice shirt i don’t blame him dude you know what I’m saying like he was pretty jacked if I looked like that I’d be shirtless right now i I would do I would do every podcast shirtless if I looked like that guy he did he was no joke like college hockey when we when I was actually in good shape and had a real body it was not crazy for us during like house parties to just like take our shirts off while people were playing beer bombing and then and then he turned around to show the welt and his bane looked like he was his back looked like he was bane he I mean he was jacked he was [ __ ] jacked dude that thing hit him square on the shoulder blade by the way that’s the best thing ever happened to that guy that was like a dream you can’t draw that up any better it’s just funny it’s like you’re coming down the 18th hole at the Memorial got Jack whose eyes are consistently wet in the booth just crying they just make that guy cry talking about Barbara they refuse to stop making him cry yep he’s just like Jack has been crying for six straight years and I’m a crier but like all I can picture of you know the Golden Bear now is just him weeping all the time which is great he’s a very emotional guy i am I’m a huge crier i know Rigs cried Leaving Pioneers we’re all big criers uh but like the the the story around that and like Scotty winning and like and and all these things and then you’ve got this guy this just meatthead Ohio State fan just just ripping his shirt off and just having his nipples out like I said his belly button was in my living room it was just such a wild like whoa it’s a wild reality to just smack you right in the face well because before they showed the clip of Ben Griffin signing the glove and giving it to the guy they showed Griffin’s shot and I was just there was just a shirtless guy standing next to Ben Griffin I was like you know you don’t see that much at a golf tournament or at or at a sporting event in general and if you go back and you watch old baseball games old golf tournaments old football games there’s shirtless guys everywhere that has sort of gotten phased out as we have moved into the into What do you mean there’s shirtless guys everywhere i feel like if you watch an old baseball game you’ll see at least five shirtless guys how old are you talking cuz if you go back in the day they’re wearing like top hats and suits and [ __ ] no no no i’m talking like the 60s and 70s okay you go back to then I think guys shirtless smoking a cigarette like I think that was pretty common certainly at a baseball game but as we have moved into the 21st century people hide their nipples for whatever reason we’re we’re a less nipple forward culture but then yesterday I saw him standing next to Ben Griffin i was like whoa you don’t see shirtless guys that often and then after he hit the shot they’re like “By the way that he hit that guy he’s super [ __ ] jacked and he’s really excited about getting a signed glove.” But you don’t see shirtless guys at sporting events anymore you don’t no you don’t no not as often as you used to um but yeah you got to be I think it’s not allowed to just like walk around with your shirt off at a golf event it can’t be especially at the Memorial Jack’s place you be you know I think you feel weird like wearing a t-shirt to a golf event but I think things were different back then 50 years ago people were popping their tops dude I remember uh before I took my dad to the Masters this year he sent me a picture of his outfit laid out and he’s like “Is this okay?” It was like a polo and some you know his classic like cargo zip off pants i was like “Yeah it’s perfect.” Yeah i don’t think I would wear I have to have some sort of even it’s a quarter zip or something to like the Masters you know what I mean i don’t know if the Memorial is the same but like Yeah it’s a little Wimbledesque at the Masters tournament you know and I think there’s a little less degree of it at different events like if you’re going to the Honda Classic or now it’s the you know I think you’re a little you’re a little okay but yeah you’re going to like a major you’re going to uh you know even like the Arnold Palmer Invitational or you’re going to Tigers tournament at Riviera it feels like you should probably have college shirt on or or QZip or something you know I think an event where only the leader finishes double digit under par you have you you have to wear a polo but you also can wear a hoodie something that you would wear to golf and I know we’ve gotten [ __ ] about this forever that people wear spikes to golf events or they’re wearing golf shoes to golf events and Dave has always been honest for that and it might it sound crazy for us to have some sort of dress code to go view golf and it might feel like it’s a barrier to entry to go watching golf this is just it’s just the culture of what it is like you just feel a little bit out of place wearing a tank top to a golf event or wearing like a loose fitting t-shirt you’re walking around and everyone’s in polos it’s like that’s just what it is that’s just like what you wear on a golf course i don’t know i don’t know how other how other way to say it like and I hope it doesn’t change to be honest i like I like like getting dressed up and going to a golf tournament well it’s tournament it’s tournament dependent for sure because think about the waist management like you can wear true you wear a tank top you can pop the top you can wear a t-shirt so I I do think it’s true i mean if you’re a heterosexual male you notice that the you know people don’t wear a ton of clothing at the WM Phoenix which is which different types of events right like you go to a rager backyard party where there’s going to be keg stand which is like waste management you’re not going to wear the same thing that you would wear to like a black tie event which is what the Masters feels like i think that’s a you know the memorial might be an outdoor a baptism or something right where you can like get get you know as opposed to wearing the black tie you can maybe wear khakis and like an open college shirt or something like that you don’t need the welcome party it’s not it’s like the welcome party for a wedding weekend but it’s not it’s not quite like the ceremony you know we should rank those events like the players you wear [ __ ] H you know what i wore a hoodie to the players hoodiey’s cool with the players i think I think hoodie is fine i think I was walking around I went when we were at Quail Hollow I we sold t-shirts in the shop so I walked around wearing a t-shirt and I will say I felt a little underdressed me too i’ve done that at a couple majors cuz same reason we’re wearing our stuff and I always feel you walk through the media center you feel a little like trashy almost so I might I might need to change that jake Bass did Jake Bass go to the Masters or was it like was it like the PJ Championship where he had no shirt on underneath his windbreaker remember that showing a lot of hamburger meat on his chest do you remember that i do remember i don’t remember the event though we looked at him we’re like you can’t possibly be wearing that into this thing he looked cool he was always like dressed kind of cool but he’s a little into the fashion stuff that it was a deep V so it was just like real close to nip our guy Jared does a good job and he’s he’s also a guy who dresses really cool people aren’t going to know really who this guy is no but he he’s cool but he wears all the like stuff that you could wear into a golf tournament that’s also clarif like it’s cool yeah whenever I wear something a little different like when they sent me those aggressive shady rays last year I always put them on show them to Jared and go “What do you think?” And if he’s like “Those are cool.” Then I’m good if he’s like people like that you got to run by him got to run up by him speaking of Jake Bass Brendan Jones is on here brendan did you guys play Beth Paige Black this last weekend is that what I heard were you in that Brandon Jones had himself a weekend wait until you hear this i did not play Beth Page back i got sick but I almost I almost played did you play you didn’t play right Frank he asked you to play you You got sick i mean are you going to talk about I mean that’s You going to talk about it like this guy [ __ ] on the last podcast last p I’m going to talk about I don’t give a [ __ ] last podcast he was just It was Trent and I and he was like he was popping in and I’m like “Oh show your face.” Like cuz it’s just us two so like we’ll just take voicemails we’ll talk and he’s like “Oh if I don’t show my face I’ll be shitting.” which was a weird thing he said right before that right before the the episode started so so during so during the episode I’m like why are you not showing your face like he was just talking and he’s like I’m walking around the house or whatever so the episode ends he said a couple things during the episode that like I don’t even know what they were he was saying he was just like saying things and at the end of the episode he’s just puts his camera on himself and he’s like laying down on the couch he goes “I feel like [ __ ] right now.” And I go “Oh my god.” He goes “I was puking when you were talking to me on the podcast.” So I was like “Okay.” So the podcast ends and I’m I’ve got a bunch of visitors out here uh baby Frankie i got a bunch of people aunt Doris and Uncle Carl were here right so all of a sudden I get a call from Trent when you get a call from Trent it’s either Kirk Minahan’s coming or you know picking that call up every time when Trent Ryan is calling something bad happens he goes “Bro I just want to let you know Brendan’s like on his way to the hospital right now.” like they like he was like not making sense and he was like puking everywhere jared our guy Jared went and checked on him i’m telling you all story jared went and checked on him and like found him like incapacitated or whatever that word is like like just like depleted and they carried him to the [ __ ] hospital so you can take you can take the rest of the story from there but that he did not play the Beth Paige Black this week no I would have loved to um yeah it was so bizarre dude the podcast ended and I just like died essentially i felt so so shitty out of nowhere i just started to get like blurry vision so it was it was like I was like yeah dude i was like making calls i was like calling Kyle i was like “Dude I’m going to be out of commission today.” I called Jared i was like “Yeah I’m like I’m like struggling right now i got to like take a nap before this flight.” So I got like blurry vision and then I started throwing [ __ ] up i was like “What the [ __ ] is happening right now?” And then uh yeah I just like started to to like lose it i don’t know what happened yeah i started making calls and people were like “You weren’t making any sense.” And then Yeah one of my Jesus yeah one of my best friends like this guy just making a call yeah i was literally just like covering my bases i was just like “All right guys like I I’m going to be out because the baby and your wife were like upstate right so you were That’s what I was like “I got to get there and make sure everything’s all right this guy’s passing out.” Luckily it was like an all good situation yeah she was she was upstate with the with the kid and then and then yeah my friend like came to check on me and Jared came to check on me and Jared was like “Dude you were you were legit like slurring your words.” As I was as if like I was blacked out like I was a functioning like blackout person crazy dude i don’t know what happened so then I wind up going to the hospital they wind up thinking like I had a stroke like they treated you they they treated me for a stroke so I got like an MRI stuff yeah blurry vision was throwing [ __ ] up i guess I was like really dehydrated my blood pressure was like 182 over 90 or something i don’t know and no yeah it was bad should it be like 120 yeah maybe lower uh it was bad so like 120 over 80 or so is that what I think i just thought it was my high blood pressure maybe i thought that I think that’s 145 but I don’t know i’m not a doctor yeah so I get to I get to the hospital and I was just like didn’t have any feeling in my fingers like my Yeah like my blood pressure Yeah like my blood circulation like wasn’t right so yeah it was like super super weird bizarre i wind up getting like an MRI they ruled out a stroke it like wasn’t a stroke it wasn’t even a seizure so they were like “Uh yeah I don’t really know what happened.” Apparently it sounds like I might have just been like kind of like powering through like a bunch of tiredness slash like dehydration maybe and my body was like “Fuck it.” Like “We’re just going to quit shut it down we’re shutting it down.” John Tapper style yeah so yeah i did not play the black i had a I had a tough little stint in the I I guess I like legit had to go to the hospital cuz I I remember like talking to uh to Jared and my friend JT who brought me and I was just like you think I could have like just slept it off and they were like dude as soon as you got to the hospital and you told the people there that like you couldn’t feel your fingers they literally rushed you into a room and I was like a heart attack or something and the I mean you said you got all the tests and all the everything came back normal and you’re like they don’t know what happened so that’s bizarre but yeah Maybe I mean Brendon Jones was just like overt tired and working on like hater series and like and in classic Brendan Jones fashion he’s at the office right now [ __ ] recording this podcast outrageous so I mean you have a lot on your plate alex Bush is no longer with us and like now you’re doing the podcast you’re doing a lot of you’re doing a million stuff as we find that new person that we made that call to action last week for um so I mean I think you need to just like take a step back sometimes and just take a deep breath yeah i I just dude I I was like it was so weird because I didn’t feel tired and I didn’t feel like overly stressed more than you know any other time you know like I felt fine i guess like it was just like a buildup like I guess I kind of just been like busting through and kind of just like pushing it down maybe and like I don’t know it didn’t like there was never a moment where I was just like bro I’m [ __ ] dying here like I I’ve been up for 24 hours like the kid whatever blah blah blah and that never happened so it was super bizarre to me like when all of a sudden this podcast wrapped up and like I couldn’t really see and I would drink water and it would like come right back up so I was like “Whoa whoa.” Like “What the [ __ ] are you doing right now?” I’ve always been like a few different times I’ve been talking with people doctors whatever and I’ve been like I find it disappointing and amazing that the human body doesn’t just like speak English and tell you what it has like I’ve always been like “It does so many things how come it’s not like hey we have cancer down here get to this how How come we have the flu?” And they were like “It does dude it’s called symptoms.” Like that’s actually what it does that’s a super good point and Yeah and it told me for sure yeah yeah but I’ve been on that same point Rigs where it’s like how Yeah like like how do you not like how does it not how does your brain not know exactly what’s going on though you know what I mean i still believe that too i’m with you and especially with the Why do I need someone else’s brain to diagnose me with what I have correct like your body That’s why people are always like the human body is so amazing whether if you’re a female and it’s reproductive whether it like regenerates stuff it fights off diseases all the time it does all this incredible stuff why doesn’t it just like hey we got a [ __ ] issue down here now big issue you know and then again if you talk to a certain medical prof you’re like yeah no it does that’s exactly why you go to the doctor because it’s called symptoms so Brendon Jones yeah it was definitely like a you know maybe more than four months cuz that’s how old my kid is is probably more than that just like coming to a point being like you know what we’re going to shut it down shut it the [ __ ] down shut it down you’ve been staring at the screen for a couple hours you know you haven’t gotten a drink of water in maybe a couple hours and we’re just going to we’re just going to send you a message here and just shut you down and that’s exactly what happened dude i like was legit getting dragged into an ER that’s crazy dude you mentioned the alarm bells going off when I called you the phone call that I got to get that information was from Kyle Tims and I was on the phone with my mom and I basically hung up on her cuz I was like “This guy Tims is calling something never calls me.” And I was like “I got to go i got to go.” And I just hung it up and I was like “What’s going on?” And he told me everything going on with Brendan crazy [ __ ] man i’m working glad you’re feeling all right glad you’re feeling good glad you’re Christ i uh crazy i got back from the hospital slept for like 11 hours so I guess I was pretty [ __ ] tired tired yep i think that’s probably based on all the evidence exactly what happened [Music] nhl playoffs are here and the only place to buy hard to get playoff tickets is Game Time the official ticketing partner of Bartow Sports with killer lastminute deals all-in prices views from your seat and their lowest price guarantee game time takes the guesswork out of buying NHL playoff tickets we’re not going to have any NHL games here in the Phoenix Scottsdale area but I did look up a couple things mariners at Diamondbacks games baseball season obviously get yourself a dog hang out be at the ballpark $26 to get some tickets and then another interesting thing I looked at at the end of the month on June 28th the KAFAF Gold Cup Quarterfinals game which usually I mean it depends who you’re going to get in that but you could get some unbelievable nations playing against each other tickets I saw $83 on GT picks you can get some tickets all the way up to a couple hundred bucks but I didn’t even know that was coming here to the Phoenix area that’s why game time’s awesome to look at because I might have to go to that trend that would be awesome you get to the golf um because it was really really good i had a moment of real idiocy this weekend and I thought I’d bring it to the podcast i thought I had I thought I broke like the Mayan calendar i thought that I figured out something was wrong with the way that we count dates and months so much so that I literally stared at into the distance while I was talking with Hannah and I said “We’ve got it all wrong.” Like I sent a voice message to my buddies and then they ended up like bringing me back to Earth a little bit so I’m glad I didn’t I’m going into this knowing I’m wrong but this was kind of the gist of what I was saying so little Frankie was Frankie boy was born on the 8th and it was on a Thursday so the next Thursday that came around was his he was one week old the next Thursday he was two weeks old last Thursday he was three weeks old and I remember saying “Oh my god next Thursday he’ll be a month.” And Hannah goes “No that’s on Sunday.” So I said “Well how is that possible?” Right like and so in my mind you want to know how dumb I was i always assumed that every month just had four weeks in it i never once gave a month the option to like have five Wednesdays in it right mhm i was just assuming like every month was 28 days and like you just if it starts on a Wednesday the last one’s a you know what I’m saying like I’m just that’s just the way my brain genuinely worked for 31 years and I didn’t real cuz like that’s kind of a mind [ __ ] that like the month is different than the fourth week but that’s only if you think every month is four weeks it’s a mind [ __ ] you know what I’m saying so then I’m arguing with them i’m like “Well then when is he a month?” And everyone’s like “On the ETH.” I’m like “But that’s a Sunday.” And they’re like “Yeah because there’s a difference between four weeks and a month.” So I’m like “So if you told me your baby’s four weeks old you wouldn’t assume a month.” They’re like “No there’s a difference.” There is a difference and I guess where I would have each each month doesn’t have the same amount of days correct that’s where you got to lock into do you know the best way to do that in real time the fingers yeah it’s the knuckles i’m not saying I didn’t know that there was multiple days different days 31 30 28 the whole deal i’m just saying that when I heard four weeks I’ve always just like when a player’s been out two to four weeks I’m like “Oh he’s out two two weeks to a month.” I’ve always just thought four weeks as a month so when I heard the fourth Thursday I was like “Oh my god he’s a month next week.” It’s close right there’s It varies as it goes there’s one month I think February that it could February you can nail it if you’re born on the first it’s that whatever that that day was except every four years you kind of get [ __ ] a little bit right Trent do you know the knuckles i don’t know the knuckle thing so the knuckles you put your hands together and then at the at the peaks it’s 31 days at the valleys it’s 30 or 28 months so you would go January February March April May June July and then the reason you do the knuckles is because July and August both have 31 so you go peak peak and then you’re back that’s really good i would have never I would have never thought of that or heard of that i learned that late in life last thing I’ll say on Mons because I actually messaged us to Big Rob and Big Rob’s like “You’re out of control.” And then we started talking about the uh universe and then I I sent him something that said uh there’s 1 billion stars for every grain of sand on Earth which sent him on just he goes “I’m not going to be able to sleep tonight that sucks.” wrote um he actually told me that back in like BC times 20 BC whatever it was Julius Caesar and Augustus Caesar those months before those two Caesars we only had 10 months in the calendar and they all represented the number like October was Octo and December was desi or whatever that was 10 and then they added July and August and it threw it all off so you got December is now 12 but it should be 10 that’s [ __ ] Stupid that’s really stupid i’m saying we messed it up yeah we did mess it let’s go back could be wrong cuz now I’m thinking through the other ones like Oh I guess Sept I don’t know that’s like Sept is seven i believe it’s a So there you go so it’s all off by two that’s a miss you I like that to be clean that’s a miss clean and they’re just like we want July and August for Julius and Augustus i got one for you real quick Frankie that somebody said to me that I had never considered before and I guess they got this from Dr neil Degrasse Tyson’s like time travel podcast mhm but they said that he made the point of he’s like “You know what really throws everything off with time travel is he’s like if you could travel back in time that always seems to be the biggest hurdle for folks.” He goes “But the biggest hurdle would be if you traveled back a hundred years.” He’s like “Do you know how far away you would be from where the Earth actually is at that time because do you understand how much the Earth moves within the solar system the solar system moves within the Milky Way and the Milky Way moves around the actual center of the universe he’s like you would be like trillions of trillions of miles away because the Earth is moving so much so if you time travel back you could time travel instantly and you’d be in your same location and you would just be in the middle of literally nowhere in outer space god damn you’re going to have to fac You want to factor that into the calculations is what you’re saying if you end up doing that we saying you would have to time travel and then also in that instant somehow travel actual space like trillions of miles and nail it to where you land on the edge of Earth so all these movies they’re not they got to take the coordinates into into account right which I never considered before yeah Lightyear always [ __ ] with like light years always messes with me too where it’s like you I I actually typed it in the other day this is what I do when I’m just like staring out into the distance it was like how long would it take to travel one lightyear if you went 100 miles an hour something that was like attainable for us and it was like six times 10 to the six it was 6 trillion years or something like that to get to get to that to get to that location and that’s one lightyear right so then you look at the end of the observable universe and it’s 45 billion light years so then you’re just like enough enough you’re not going to believe this but for the last podcast we never got to this i saw this on Instagram and I wrote it down if you were going the speed of a average commercial plane how long do you think it would take you to get to Mars so I saw this so I’m not going to guess so it goes what like 500 miles an hour yeah right around there i guess if I just flew just Delta from JFK to Mars it would take me be a hilarious sign to see in the gate was like Mars i’m going to say 4 and 1/2 months 9.9 years it would take you and then Jupiter 79.7 years away pluto it would take you 744 years on a commercial airliner delta JFK to Pluto 744 years sucks ass man sucks ass that’s [ __ ] crazy it’s all so big it’s huge sucks it’s [ __ ] we just got to be happy with our plot of land right here i’m talking about time i’m talking about location you’re never getting out anywhere you’re never going anywhere we just get to sit here talk golf watch Scotty Sheffller become the most dominant golfer of our generation or this next generation I guess i mean we’re 41 minutes into this podcast or give or take and we haven’t mentioned Scotty Sheffller i I don’t know how many times we can talk about on a podcast how good Scotty Sheffller is it It’s It feels like we’re Meredith Sheffller we’re Meredith Sheffller at this point like how many what different variations of walking onto the 18th green and celebrating another victory with our baby boy can we do you know it’s really impressive stuff i mean you you go on the DraftKings sports book going into Sunday Scotty Shuffler’s minus 300 Ben Griffin’s plus 800 he’s there’s a one stroke difference and you’re like how am I not betting the field like anyone to just you know Scotty just makes a double bogey and then he just plays solid golf from there there on out and threw goes like three or four under he just wins like that’s just like the way the world works that’s the way golf works this guy isn’t a robot where he he can’t make he he’s going to make mistakes and then you watch and you’re like “How did I not even bet him atus 300 i should have put all the money I had on them and on him and then I just would have made some profit off of it.” It’s an automatic he’s an automatic winner nine of nine nine for the last nine and again I kind of brought it up after the PGA but the tour average for winning with the lead is shockingly low winning when you have the lead is so difficult to do it’s the hardest thing to do on tour as Brandle with his stats pointed out it is the most detrimental thing to someone’s game is having the lead it’s like you play three or four shots worse than you have the other three rounds when you have the lead scotty’s nine for his last nine the stats on this guy are getting outrageous he’s got the same number of wins since May 2nd as the Colorado Rockies three he’s played I believe four tournaments the Rockies I think have played like 20s something games um he has won three of his last four tournaments he of course won nine times last year it is not that long since he won at the WM Phoenix Open like a little over three years ago in 2022 and in that time he has gone on an outrageous tear he’s got three major championships couple masters and um and of course the PGA last month and he’s also got in that time the events that he’s winning are huge events the memorial is a huge event we talked about it earlier it’s about you know in terms of your outfits it’s like it’s close to a g it gets to where you feel like you got to dress like you’re in the field at the Masters tournament it’s it’s a gala it is a PGA Tour gala it is I would say the biggest event out there outside of the players championship that’s like not a major it is the memorial jack and Barbara are sitting up there we got to go through Jack by the way just so Jack’s starting to really let it let it go out there he’s starting to fire he was firing all kinds of hot takes this weekend which I loved i sent this clip to Brendan Jones i think it’s the perfect time to play it right now because you just mentioned it Frankie Trent off the top it’s like there’s so many other good players ben Griffin is playing the best golf you know it feels like the hottest golf of anybody out there right now he’s one shot back going in he’s playing great for the last month couple months and Jack Nicholas when talking about Scotty and how he’s impressed by Scotty had this to say about Scotty versus the other people on the leaderboard given the body of work that Scotty is putting together what makes him elite well I think that you know great players are ones who rise to the occasion and ones who know how to play coming down the stretch when in important events and you know look looking at the leaderboard today he didn’t he didn’t have I mean Ben Griven’s a nice player stra is a nice player uh Nick Taylor’s a nice player those are all the guys that were there basically coming down the stretch and but he knows that those guys you know are not in his league now if he’d have had I don’t know who else it might have been but he had somebody else at the the top Xander or somebody like that would have been there he might have said “Well that might be a little tougher i might have to do something.” He didn’t have to yeah no he’s he’s and he’s right first of all Jack Nicholas is right but he has reached the backing out of the driveway stage of of comments where he’s just like Listen Ben Griffin nice little cute adorable player but he’s not going to win up against Sky Shuff my friends and like I said he is correct he’s shuffling through papers maybe if there was a He goes I don’t know if there was a Xander Schoffley or Rory he did look off to the side like who am I xander Rory if he would show him to my godamn tournament somebody give me one more name that’s better than Ben Griffin for me to say on this on this podium right now oh dude i And it is true man no he doesn’t have to look when he backs up he No blinkers for Jack Nicholas at this point he’s coming barreling barreling down he could do whatever he wants and he was firing and I saw that quote and I died him calling those guys nice players i’ve never even heard that i’ve never even heard that before and had Jack Nicholas the greatest champion in the history of golf calling him just nice players and then being like but Scotty didn’t even have to really do anything down the stretch he pretty much just had to breathe and it was over against those guys was all time true he’s right he’s absolutely right he did say and he kept alluding to on the broadcast of like he’s doing what I did and he’s doing what Tiger did once upon a time where it’s a really hard golf course it’s a really hard setup there’s a bunch of nice adorable players around you if they’re going to make mistakes and if you basically shoot even par or you you make a couple birdies i know he made one bogey in his final round you’re going to win this golf tournament and that’s what he did you just you stay steady guys who are chasing you are going to fall off because they’re going to take bigger risks than you the risk that you don’t have to take so you’re not going to make big numbers and if you just shoot around even par you are going to win the golf tournament and that’s what Scotty did he does it so well he is the best player under pressure too is underrated right now it’s like dude these events now we saw it at the PGA we saw it again this week where everyone is pretty close going into Saturday it seems like there’s a bunch of different names that could win even going into Sunday Scotty’s got the lead but it’s kind of close it wouldn’t be that crazy for him to stumble a little bit somebody else get hot and instead he wins by four like how often does somebody win by four that would be that is a shitkicking on the PGA tour it very rarely happens at the PGA he won by what five with that bogey on the last hole it was he was close to winning by six and it’s like dude he just figures it out plays more steady more consistently than everybody else he doesn’t make the big mistakes i think I looked it up i think I saw he had four bogeies the entire week the entire week in an event where there’s bogeies and double bogeies to be made everywhere gruff is brutal there’s water all over the place the greens are lightning it was pouring rain for like half the weekend it felt like with [ __ ] conditions or maybe just on Friday and he goes out there and plays almost mistake free golf i saw there’s only four players that finished better than two under in the entire field and Scotty was 10 under so it’s just a complete domination by him in an event again where it didn’t feel like it was like he didn’t come out and shoot eight under and then you know but you look it up at the end and of course he’s inevitable he wins by four he’s won three of his last four events even as other starts where everybody’s like “Oh Scotty’s on a little bit of a you know slump right now after the injury with the ravioli.” It was like still top 10s top 15s playing solid and then he started to figure it out and he is just unstoppable i don’t know in our in our like time of doing this show Scotty Sheffore didn’t exist when we started the show right he was like at Texas winning and we’re not being we’re not like paying attention a ton to college golf and in that time he has emerged as the most dominant golfer in the history of us doing this show in the eight and a half years of us doing this show nobody has been even close to as dominant as Scotty Sheffller has been for the last three years it’s it’s unbelievably impressive well I mean Brooks went on that run with majors that was outrageous while we were doing the show like that yep that that was nuts where you’re like every time this guy showed up to a big ballpark big major event he was almost guaranteed to win he won four of them in two years but I totally agree it’s like this is something that I’ve yearned to see ever since like being a little too young for Tiger where a guy shows up he is automatically a shoein to win the golf tournament going into it and he just he just does it and you uh the the group texts are going like I cannot believe how good this guy is is Scotty really going to win it again and you just say yes there’s no doubt about it there’s no doubt that he will show up and beat all of these guys in this golf tournament that’s nuts it’s such a hard sport to do that we talk so often doesn’t matter how you play someone else can just play better how is he winning this much he’s that much better than everyone else he makes me think it’s not that hard of a sport for him i know i know like we talk all the time about like you know Monday qualifiers getting just getting through the corner tour with Alistister and like how impossibly hard this game is the winning percentage of even the greats but then you watch him like it can’t be as hard for Scotty Sheffller as it is for somebody else you know what I mean it’s definitely still hard but like there’s got to be something in him where he’s kind of like why aren’t why isn’t everybody else just one like the best ball striker of the last 50 years like why isn’t everybody else just doing this it’s too It’s It is easy for him the lines he takes with his irons and like approach shots are so outrageous he hits these things on strings there are a couple of tucked back right pins like over creeks over ridiculous rough that he’s in the middle of the fairway he just goes for the flag stick and just the way he does it his feet are all over the place his arms are flying around i know that we talk about his feet a lot but like not enough people talk about how outrageous of a golf swing this guy has and the ball goes exactly where he wants it to go he has no rhyme or reason like there’s no consistency to his ball to his swing he’s not a Justin Thomas where it looks like it was made kind of like on one of those machines where it’s perfect it goes right up it goes right down and the followrough is perfect even Rory goes right up he bends down gets right in the slot dude he’s moving things around if he wants to bend around the trees he’s like he’s he’s falling off of the tea box he’s doing things he’s painting the picture it’s like he’s got a a paintbrush in his hand it’s just so impressive that it’s so consistent you know like if you show a kid that like hey this is how you’re supposed to play the game they wouldn’t be able to replicate that there’s no way it’s a one ofone swing a oneofone approach to the game it’s a oneofone type of player i really want to go back and listen to when we talked to him at Liberty National like four years ago what his mindset was like i want to go back and listen to that podcast because he was not the Scotty Sheffller i don’t even think he had won at that point no way no no no dude we had him and Windham Clark on the same show and they were both as crazy as that says they were like nobody’s like like they were they were I would love to know what his ranking was at that point the hundreds i mean you know what I mean like he was just like obviously Well that was a playoff event right so he was he was somewhat in the mix at that point he was solid yeah he was probably 30 or 40 but he wasn’t 30 or 40 but that’s that’s the graphic that’s going around now is that Waste Management win it’s his first win and now he’s just stockpiled wins in the last three plus years and that’s like it’s like something just flipped and he’s like now I’m the best player in the world and potentially of this generation and it’s like he’s not short either like he hits that driver dude he hits it far and with the right ball flight for the right hole and in play in the fairways and it is true like all the different you know when they ask everybody about Scotty everybody’s kind of got a little bit of a different some people talk about his mentality other people talk about like his overall life is so like balanced and then speed was going on and on being like he probably has the best club face control in history and to be honest with you I don’t even really know what that means I’m just like right you’re just swinging away out there I’m worried about my lower body my upper my takeaway club face you try Sure you try to get a little closed you try to get a little more open depending on your tendency or issues but it’s like to think is he thinking about like his club face control in the swing there’s so many things to think about in the swing if you’re thinking about that that you can’t think about anything else i don’t know it’s like it’s just all the different elements that all the different people choose to look at Scotty Sheffer and be like he’s so good at it’s just all of the different elements of the game at the bottom of the swing when you are striking the golf ball I have zero thoughts i I don’t have control of that i don’t know what makes it go right what makes it go left like is that what they’re talking about like right at the bottom he’s he’s saying he’s got the most control of all time and I like I can’t even conceptualize that i’m so far from it me neither and I think that’s Yeah i mean I think that’s right i think like that terminology to me is so advanced of club face control and it I get that I get what the words mean i understand what the word the English words mean of club face control but I’m with you Trent it’s like Jesus take the wheel at that point right you’ve already like you’ve gotten to the point where you’ve pulled the club back you’ve done a back swing now you’re doing a down swing and at that point you’re kind of closing your eyes and looking up and being like “Please God is that going to be okay?” Right he’s controlling his club face what you’re also talking about less than half a second like way less than half a second and you’re saying that he’s got some sort of control on what’s going on down there again these guys are at a completely different level so it makes sense that they’re trying to explain things to people who think are unexplainable but I it’s bottom line the guy just wins a [ __ ] ton of golf tournaments the only tournament I bet on him to win out of the last month was the one that he didn’t uh was the old whatever that Texas tournament a couple weeks ago yeah Colonial you know he finished like second or whatever so he was right there um but good for Scotty he’s just unbelievable he’s such a good dude with his family and it’s beautiful to see and again he’s winning at really hard golf courses i I’m now so giddy to watch him play Oakmont to watch him play the British Open at uh Royal Port Rush to take this game to those places that are truly different trying tests we saw how hard Oakmont was we have a video that comes out next week which I’m actually very excited for people to see just the contrast and how difficult the place is but um but we’re rolling now i don’t know you know we got a couple more things to talk about here on the Jack Nicholas front um Jack weighed in on the walking talks did you see his comments on He hates him oh dude he goes “I can’t stand the interview on the golf course.” Let me tell you how I think how I feel i mean seriously here’s a guy Ben Griffin who’s leading the golf tournament he’s just hit the edge of the rough he’s got a very difficult shot on a very difficult hole and you’re talking to him about stuff that totally takes his mind off of what he was doing how do you think Ben Hogan would respond to that question you would not have any teeth left if you did he’d hit you right in the face with it jack I love it get a microphone in front of Jack Nicholas as much as possible do it he’s just got a lot of pop behind these statements that he’s got that cute Jack Nicholas that voice you know he’s got that little Jack Nicholas voice and he’s just saying crazy [ __ ] now ben Hogan would have punched the reporter in the teeth they’d have no teeth left if they asked them how they were feeling toothless just said they’d be they’d be a toothless reporter because they asked them how they’re feeling from T-box to to the Green that’s just a classic like “Oh we used to be tougher back in the day.” We talking about walking uphill both ways to school the whole deal trying to grow the game Jack we can’t be punching reporters we got to We want to interview Ben Griffin about what’s going on with Why you wearing those glasses what’s going on out there that would get the people going man by the way if he just checked the reporter in the face when he I mean that’s kind of the juice that we’re looking for if Patrick Reed hasn’t punched a reporter yet I don’t think any of these guys are going to punch a reporter true patrick Reed’s caddy did punch a fan by the way he did do that they got straight there so they’re close and then the last thing I had on Jack was his comments on uh Rory so Rory did a no call no show to the memorial we talked about it last week a little bit he was like the only top 25 or whatever player to not show up jack gave his presser and you know a lot of the quotes that were coming out I thought he got headlined a little bit where they asked him like “Did Rory call you about not showing up?” And he was like “No he didn’t.” They were like “Were you surprised by that?” He’s like “Yeah I was a little surprised by that.” A lot of the commentary being like Rory probably owes Jack Dickas you know quick phone call to let him know in Jack’s and Rory’s defense Jack did also say in with the full interview I was watching earlier because I was going to headline his ass too jack did say he’s like “I don’t hold it against Rory at all whether he chose to play or not.” He’s like “Everybody has their different schedule rory likes to play the week before US Open so he’s not going to play four weeks in a row or whatever it would have been four out of five with the PGA and then this and then that.” And so he’s choosing to play the week before instead everybody has their own schedule i had to make a bunch of calls over the years but he did seem a little not thrilled with the fact that Rory is a is a friend of his he’s a big Rory fan he sat down and had lunch with Rory before the Masters and went through every single hole and how he plays every hole and then Rory didn’t call him to say he wasn’t going to play in the Masters or in the memorial i don’t know if we have any big thoughts on that but kind of an interesting thing i was ready to headline Jack on that too but if you do read the whole interview he hedges it a bunch of times a bunch of times where he’s just like “No you know Rory’s busy he’s a you know is what it is i don’t know why he didn’t call me but he didn’t but blah like he did a good job of like trying to not get headlined but he still got headlined but I think Rory might owe Jack a call before that tournament i think I I think I would agree with that i don’t disagree i think he could probably owe him a quick phone call i’m surprised Rory didn’t like Rory’s a very like he does things the right way as they like to say i don’t think things are going particularly the way everyone thought they would after winning the Masters everyone said he was going to be this like you know monkey off the back he’s going to be freeloading walking around with a different type of walk to him and every everyone you know the PJ tour better watch out because Rory Maroy now that he’s got that off his back he’s going to be a problem it’s like didn’t take an interview at a major championship and then just didn’t show up to the memorial it’s like things are a little weird right now in the Maroy camp it’s just not It’s not quite weird quite weird i would say it’s not like the victory parade that we thought he was going to be taken it’s very strange it’s almost like more stress is like in that camp and he’s like not showing up but yeah I mean he made a lot of good points he’s like if if you if you headlined every event that I didn’t go to when I was playing you know it wouldn’t look good it wouldn’t look good also so I get what he’s saying and Rory has his idea as to how he wants to prep to for the US Open and it is what it is he doesn’t want to play two weeks leading into it he wants to play the week before so it’s probably not a serious thing but we’re obviously going to dive into it we’re going to give our takes on it but Rory’s just been he hasn’t been in front of the camera as much as we thought he’d be after winning the Masters it’s all purely speculation around Rory but it could be the opposite it could be that he doesn’t care about these things anymore like you watch some of the interviews and he’s like I I did what I kind of set out to do i won all the the majors in professional golf and I’m not saying he’s just like oh [ __ ] it i’m not calling Jack because I got everything I wanted but not talking to the media just not even that he’s over that he’s super stressed about it more that he’s just like I don’t [ __ ] I don’t care it’s so kind of going that way Trent that like somebody said uh we were at the bar after playing golf having a little cocktail on Saturday and somebody said like “Oh yeah i actually kind of heard from a you know a source that they were hearing some stuff going on in the camp that like it’s not crazy that Rory might like retire this year.” Like not like not just be all set just like he got the grand slam he’s done with all the media he’s done with all the hoopla he’s done with all the annoyance that comes with it he’s all set he did what he set out to do and it you know I was like that’s ridiculous but then I was also like right like what if Rory just came out and he’s like I’m a carpenter now i I I love wood i love working with wood i like building things and now that I’ve accomplished everything now that I’ve accomplished everything in this one realm of life I’m moving on to the next chapter and that’s woodworking for me wouldn’t surprise me in the slightest i find it amazing that all these guys just continue to do this stuff after they’ve made like their lives are done this is all just excess i know it’s so much fun and they like want to be a part of history but like there’s a part of me that’s like just float away man listen I’m not I’m not actually entertaining the idea of Rory retiring this year but there has to be something to his legacy is now set and before he won the Masters it was not set all the winning all the money all of the things people would still say “Yeah but he didn’t win the Masters.” Now that he’s won the Masters there’s nothing he can really do now to further his legacy with major championships he can win a couple more i mean the number you know he’s got five you want to you want to knock off a couple of the guys above you maybe and that’s a conversation that could be had but I think there is something to him where he’s like I kind of did it but the grand scheme of things does knocking a couple more guys off really do anything for your legacy like I think he’s already cemented like you’re not getting to the top and you’re not at the bottom you you’ve done you already done the thing so even if you end up if he ends up at like 12 it’s like whoa what a career like he just came out of [ __ ] nowhere but if he ends up at like seven it’s like we’re talking about him the same way that we were talking about him seven or five he’s got the grand slam one of the best players of generation the whole storyline hitting balls into his uh washing dryer when he was in Ireland like that to me is like he’s done i agree with that and I think that you’re right like okay you’re not getting to 18 you’re not getting to 15 no so even if you get to like nine right which would be sick don’t get me wrong it would elevate you but I don’t know that that right now in Rory’s mind I don’t know that that is doing anything for him i do think Rory has a history of evolving his opinions on stuff you can go look at a lot of the stuff he said about the RDER Cup a lot of the stuff he said in general about Liv that he has then sort of like changed his mind on and I think right now he’s in this kind of like honeymoonish phase from like dude I did it i did it it’s over it is over no matter what else I do it’s not going to change my legacy and I think that’s mostly true however I think Rory I don’t think it’s happening immediately i’m I’m not feeling great about him at like the rest of the majors throughout the year i think he’s kind of all set it’s reminding me a little bit of 2019 Tiger very different in terms of injuries and all that but like we were like “Oh my god the the rest of the majors this year at Beth Page where he’s won like he’s going to go crazy this year.” Tiger Woods it was what 2019 was also Pebble Beach we were like “He’s already won the Masters he’s going to win all the majors this year.” and instead he was sort of like he only showed up played the majors was like “Yeah I’m just like not grinding as hard i’m only show you know whatever.” It’s kind of reminding me about that a little bit of like he seems to just be dude he went back home he’s moving back to London i saw the report or he’s going to move to London and like taking his family there they prefer the weather there and all this stuff and I think he’s Yeah I think right now he’s kind of in a spot where he’s [ __ ] all set i think he’s chilling but I believe he’s going to come back around i think in the next year or so I think he’s gonna refucking focus and be like “All right this is what I like to do i’m gonna try to rip off as many majors as I can.” Rory is such an interesting guy that of all the people who could potentially do this he feels like the favorite if he were just like I’m going to walk away like all these other guys yeah you just can’t see it and again it’s kind of I don’t want to get like uh we we’re in a clip talking like oh my god Rory’s definitely gonna retire but like it’s certainly an interesting conversation to have like remember like remember when Andrew Luck and it’s not the same conversation because Rory has he’s the accomplishments are insane but it was like he’s like I’m done and it’s like oh and then you sort of you think about it and you’re like yeah he made a bunch of money and you just kind of walk away from something and Rory has made the most money and he’s won the most tournaments so who knows definitely going into the masters he looked exa like there were times where he would look exhausted and we would always have that takeaway where it’s like he just he even would say it like I’m just tired of all this it’s it’s a lot i’m I’m I’m the v I’m the voice of reason for the PGA Tour i also have things going on at home and I got to get my game back together it’s it’s exhausting so I’m sure the last like four or five years have really taken a toll on him i don’t think any of this has to do with him not playing the Memorial i think he just had a schedule and he’s just like I’m just going to play in I agree with that in Canada and then I’m going to play at the US Open so I think it’s probably trying to come up with something that’s not there but he’s also not performing the way that we thought he would after winning the Masters so you know it’s an interesting uh case right now going into the US Open where’s Where’s Rory going to be i’ll be interested to see what DraftKings has him at in terms of favorites as the weeks go on we’ll see how he does up in Canada but he’s like Scotty has to be the clear and far favorite i’m with you it’s a fascinating case uh it and shout out to shot Scott he just shows back up right and like he just takes over all the headlines again he’s like “People have been talking about Rory having the year Rory i’m back [ __ ] and I’m just going to win everything win everything.” It’s like Scotty is now the favorite to have the player of the year thing whereas Rory dude Rory won Pebble Saws the Masters and you’re like it’s over nobody’s going to beat that scotty has answered in it’s been a month and a half since Rory did the whole Masters thing and now it’s like oh Scotty’s obviously going player of the year he’s going to keep winning this year and Rory is like retiring is kind of how we’ve like moved on to this guys on the PGA the memorial it’s like the it’s insane yeah it doesn’t make any sense um I’ll be very fascinated to see how uh Rory Yeah comes out even like portrays himself does interviews all that going forward just cuz it’s been interesting and you know my last thing I’ll say on it is it is funny and if you really do think about it it’s like he’s won every event you could possibly win that’s just it he’s done it and whether you win every event you could possibly win two times three times I don’t think that matters like it’s like you’ve done it dude he’s won the Masters won the PGA he’s won the British Open he’s won the US Open he’s won the Players he has won all the events on like the Dubat right he’s always winning in Dubai he’s always winning on the DP World Tour he’s always winning the other PGA Tour events he’s winning the FedEx Cup he’s won the RDER Cup on the road and at home he’s he’s won everything you can win in the world of golf so it’s like whether you win him another four times does that really change anything in the world like no no he’s done it all man he’s lived a million lives i’m going to I’m going to have my eye on on Rory when he shows up to Oakmont i I maybe some sort of like facial hair thing going on maybe his hair is is a little longer than it usually is it’s kind of coming out the back i’m I’m going to look for signs on Roy Moy when he shows up to Oakland because there might be like a weird stash or I think his hair is going to be long and he’s just like “Oh yeah I just I just got off the plane i’ve been hanging in London for like the last month and a half.” This represents the shift in and my feelings on the whole thing is I bought this 2025 Masters flag that after he won I was like next time I’m at any event that he’s at I’m going to have him sign it i don’t think I’m going to go near him with that thing now i feel like if I go near him and ask him to sign that flag I feel like he’s going to scowl at me and be like “No I’m I’m all set with this shit.” He also might retire not be at any events true true i might need to get that thing signed immediately then immediately um yeah curious case of Rory so yeah he’ll be at the Canadian Open i’m sure he’ll have an interview today or tomorrow that we can kind of react to on the next show but uh still love Rory biggest Rory fan of the world kind of a weird thing since he’s won the Masters so we’ll kind of see how that plays out [Music] celebrate dad this Father’s Day by raising his game at Golf Galaxy it is just a couple more notables that I had from the memorial uh Ricky Fowler and Jordan Speed both finished tied for seventh so really hard golf course big event like we said seeing both those guys up there in the old top 10 nice to see yeah Jordan Speed grabbed a lot of headlines over the weekend he was playing really well and he’s always just an adventure almost killed a couple of Patriots you guys see that video inches that made my stomach turn like that’s how I felt playing at Sawrass like when I would hit a bad shot I was like I’m going to decapitate these people and Spiff came mere inches from hitting somebody right in the noggin i mean no one expected him to for it to come out that low but like they shouldn’t have been standing that was crazy how far out they were standing they were standing in front of him yeah I know like it’s not like his next shot was beyond the trees it was still within the tree line like that’s just not fair you’re allowed to hit a bad shot that’s on the fans to me or like the caddy not getting You got You got to be able to clear them out because he’s still that that was still like sort of online it was like a little right he had a ball above his feet he’s in the thick rough that ball’s not guaranteed to come out straight no that’s kind of like where he needed to hit it and how he needed to hit it he made a pas like Yeah driver he let go of the driver the next one almost killed someone the next one he got onto the green to like 40 feet and he made a bomb put and just kind of like threw the ball in his hand and was like damn what a four crazy he really is he really is just incredible he made like five pars yesterday there was one day he made six birdies and six bogeies oh that was the one that I saw i think it was Saturday saturday yeah even sign a scorecard and be like “That’s it even par.” Bang even all right moving on us Women’s Open at Aaron Hills i’ve got the shirt on uh love Aaron Hills i was glued into this i bet on Nelly on like Saturday morning she was like plus 700 made a pretty damn good comeback ended up finishing second of course so that’s another L for your boy since Rory won the Masters but incredible event i you know I’ve been I I’m pretty streaky when it comes to women’s golf but when it’s good it’s awesome and really golf at any level as we’ve said on this show many many times golf at any level when it’s like the biggest thing that the people that you’re watching them play for can possibly be playing for it is so fun to watch and it is such good theater if it’s you know to be a top 20 PGA uh professional that gets to play in the PGA championship like watching that tournament is unbelievably fun because it’s the biggest thing that they could possibly get to when you watch NCAAs if you really glue in it is so fun to watch because winning a national championship for your college is like the biggest thing in their life that they could possibly be playing for tuning in to the US Women’s Open is the exact same thing having it be at Aaron Hills which is one of our favorite places there’s nowhere that does it better than they do at Aaron Hills from the service the food just the place that you’re at the setting watching that sunset as you’re having dinner it’s such a cool golf destination buddies trip you go with the wife or girlfriend even like it’s a it’s a phenomenal phenomenal spot to go and visit and then for them to also be able to deliver major championship type golf and for them to get another shot right the US Open with Brooks Kepka and people chirped and Johnny Miller called it the Milwaukee Open because JT shot his 63 and tied Johnny Miller’s record from Oakmont that whole thing you know I’m glad Iron Hills got another shot us Women’s Open the biggest event in all the women’s game uh and it was awesome over the weekend the course delivered it played incredibly difficult there were all kinds of clips that went all over social of some of the women hitting shots that looked like not that bad of shots they catch a slope and they just roll and roll and roll forever it really made all the different women that were in contention have to think through and execute shots and huge moments a lot of times you didn’t look like you’re in that bad of a spot and they just had to accept making a bogey like trying to make an easy bogey maya Stark came out and just was phenomenal all weekend long even with Nelly chasing her and with other players chasing her she was pretty unflapable hitting fairways hitting great shots um and got the job done so it was her first uh major she had I believe was like unbelievably dominant in college i was kind of learning a lot more about her throughout but Swedish obviously Anukica there’s a bunch of heritage and bunch of history in women’s golf with Swedish golf um got it done it was awesome but the leaderboard was great coming down the stretch the um 22-year-old Lopez Ramirez dude was absolutely roasting the golf ball i had to look it up halfway through the final round i was like “What is this what is this girl’s driving distance?” She was averaging over 290 yards off the team with her driver i was like “What the fuck?” And she’s like this like you know in terms of like body type and everything pretty normal looking 22-year-old girl out there just ripping a golf ball all around that place which was so cool to watch we’ve played golf with Nelly so we’ve seen how she can hit the ball and go watch that video on YouTube if you haven’t we’ve seen how she can she can hit the ball but to see that there were uh there was a again a young 22-year-old out there hitting it significantly farther than Nelly was was just so goddamn impressive to watch i think a lot of the MMO with women’s golf is like “Oh they don’t hit it anywhere but like they’re unbelievably precise with their wedges and with their distances and all that type of stuff.” And sure some people’s games are that way there’s also some out there that are just roasting the golf ball so it was awesome to watch aaron Hills again presented itself insanely well on the 72nd hole um Stark had like this she was hitting her for shot on the par five and literally just putted it into the middle of the green didn’t even take it anywhere near the pin because if you went a foot long on that green it rolled into the worst spot maybe to play golf from that’s not in a hazard in America it’s like way down this slope into the rough we saw Nelly leave it in her we saw Lopez Ramirez left it at her feet from back there um so it just made the players think and it presented itself insanely well it was such good theater to watch coming down the stretch and shout out to DraftKings because even though I didn’t win it really does show you how much more fun something could be to watch when you have a vested interest you got a little bit of skin in the game but uh but yeah shout out to Aaron Hills we love that place and I know that they were hoping it would go really well it’s huge for them to have a name like Nelly Corda in the mix coming down the stretch just for for everything for having the juice for having the number one ranked player in the game be there and then Nelly afterwards gave a great interview again we love her we rode in the golf cart with her you know she’s generally a little bit quiet but now she’s doing hell sports Illustrated swimsuit she’s going to the Met Gala or I think that was the gala that she went to putting herself out there a little bit more and then seeing her afterwards like as soon as she finished up where she bogeied the 72nd hole after hitting driver 7wood right at the flag you know it took the wrong slope and ended up making a bogey so I’m sure she was devastated to come up short when it looked like she could win she gave just a phenomenal like two or three minute interview afterwards being very honest being very candid talking about how awesome the course was and so yeah awesome US Women’s Open yeah it’s just great to see that course being played and we’ve always said uh you watching the women’s game is way more relatable to our games than watching Sky Sheffer hitting at 360 and then to 5t or whatever he was doing yesterday at Memorial it’s just you know that’s they hit it closer to what we do and they they smoke it right by us i mean the numbers that they were putting up are insane they’re so good like you look at the leaderboard and you see five under six under and you’re like can you imagine from that how far do they play from dude they played it from a little bit farther than we play it from they were playing it from like 68 something 100 yards and like for most people that go out there you play like the green te’s is I believe what we usually play out there and it’s like maybe 66 67 something like that so they’re playing it from like I looked at a couple of those par4s that are really hard they’re playing like 440 yard par4s and having like 110 yards in after they’re ripping insanely impressive being under par like the they they don’t get enough shine for how good they actually are so so good at the game and yeah just seeing the clips I didn’t get a chance to watch a lot of the coverage I mean it’s been so when when you’re when you’re in the trenches right now like I’m just things are just floating by me like I’ll go four hours without seeing my phone or the TV because I’m just like doing a million things to keep the baby occupied or if you’re sleeping with him or he’s sleeping on your in your arms like and you don’t have access to your phone you can’t move you’re just sitting there and you’re just staring around for like two hours and you make a move and he kind of looks at you and he’s like “Don’t you dare move.” Um so like there was just not I just missed so much stuff this weekend um but seeing all the clips and you tweeting it out like just the course looked awesome and just Aaron Hills is such a unique um plot of land here in America where you can bump and run and balls are running off and it’s such a hard pan type of golf course and it it requires so many different types of shots so and seeing those numbers like I said like being that much under par on that course from that distance like if you and your buddies went out there and shot a [ __ ] 68 you’d be like are you trying out for like the RDER Cup this year like what’s going on i know no it was it was awesome and again and just watching yesterday I’m looking right now I mean Julia Lopez Ramirez averaged for all four rounds 292.6 yards off the TE she was 15 yards farther than the next closest nelly Corda averaged 273.7 off the TE so it’s like you’re thinking about that dude i don’t hit many drives 270 280 dude I just played the other day and I was piping it and I like felt like I was piping it high draws right down the middle and I would drive up with the cart and it tells you how far it was from the gold tea and it was like 258 and I looked around like what are we talking about like what is happening and the next one I hit it it was like 257 like 270 is a crank job like you got to see the way this ball was flying off my the club face i was bombing it dude 292 averaging i kind of like tweeted that out too cuz on Saturday on 18 I hit like my best drive of the day everyone’s like “Oh that was your best one great swing.” Had a nice little draw on it we did the same thing on the cart looked up got up there it was 255 and I was like “You [ __ ] pussy.” It’s so hard but yeah they’re just ripping the ball and I was looking dude like she had like 158 you know was like her ball speed on a couple different like on like an average fairway finder i was watching her hit and they were just chasing down the fairway i was like this is sick so really impressive so yeah it was absolutely awesome to watch what a great event uh we got to mention Lexi Thompson getting a little god she always gets some heat you know i feel for her a little bit but she was getting roasted for the pace and play stuff she was playing with Charlie Hall who Charlie Hall is obviously a bit of a firecracker um Charlie Hall was like sitting on T- boxes while Lexi Thompson was putting there was a clip of her like muttering to herself and shaking her head in the background while Lexi was like going through her putting routine so then Lexi finishes up uh I believe she missed the cut finishes up and then over the weekend posted an Instagram story with a long caption and in the caption being like “I know I’m not the fastest player but I don’t want to be out there for six hours as much as anybody else uh you got to understand we were waiting on every single hole for the group in front of us we never got put on the clock never any of that stuff so basically just playing defense the whole time and then weighed in on the everybody was kind of like “Didn’t she retire?” Which I’m I’m guilty of the same thing every time they showed her on TV I was walking through the living room going “Didn’t she retire how come she’s still playing?” And then she put her whole second half of her thing was like “I never ever used the word retire i simply said that I was going to like limit my playing schedule.” And I you know I I don’t know how accurate all that it’s like at some point didn’t we do the whole retirement tour last year and now she’s in every single event so that to me is a person who’s pretty you know we’re paying a decent amount of attention to golf headlines here gentlemen we do a golf podcast i I’ve seen her like two or three events in a row now where I tune in and I’m like well she’s just playing every event that I watch the LPGA on the caption was a lot there was a lot in it there was a lot of information there was a lot of passive aggressiveness is uh is how I would call it and yeah no it’s always cuz she played with Lexi played with Charlie and Nelly I think the first couple days who are two of the faster players on the LPGA so they’re they’re ready to rip and Nelly I’m sure was just very nice and kind of went about her business charlie Hull if you are pissing her off she’s going to let you know about it and she’s going to sit on tea boxes and she’s going to mutter and she’s going to I watched the clip of her watching Lexi putt it’s she’s just like “Let’s go.” like without saying it and without speaking it out loud she’s like this routine is really kind of getting under my getting on my nerves so yeah I don’t know the the caption I read it it was very long um I don’t know where she’s at Lexi she seems like she’s kind of all over the place yeah i mean it’s the opposite of Tiger Wood saying he was going to play every month and they just didn’t like she’s just like I’m not going to play anymore she’s playing all the time so yeah I that caption that was one of those where it’s like that’s too much i’m sorry to hear that or I’m happy for you one of those like I wouldn’t remember the whole entire thing right right right dude Charlie Hull she she’ll get you like she will tell you how it is man if you piss her off it’s she’s not one to hide how she’s feeling which we love about her i mean she’s hilarious if Lexi was with any other person in the field nobody would have known that she was playing slowly though on the tea box was so funny just staring at her competitor just like you’re so much faster and like playing better than the other person or whatever it is like however you’re feeling at that moment that you’re just going to like by sitting down on the tea box you’re letting them know like that’s letting them know they’re exhausting you and I believe I this I could be making this up I think Charlie stopped smoking she did so she’s got to be like where’s that video of Have we posted that where’s that video Brendan no we haven’t posted that no we haven’t posted it’s coming out we uh had to run it by the the TM people and the three others that are in it but it’s coming out soon within four weeks yeah in four weeks or within figure that out Frankie when’s that going to be it’s going to be That’s a month it’s a good question i did some homework for you cuz I was very curious we interviewed Scotty Sheffller on August 19th 2021 uh him and Windham Clark he was the 20th ranked player in the world at the time yeah which kind of surprised me yeah that was at the Northern Trust at at Liberty National yep um but yeah a long long time ago yeah i want to go back and just listen to those sound bites just like how like how different of a person that is and how much has happened like he has it’s so interesting to go back and listen to something when they have no idea where what their future holds he was seven months away from becoming what he is now that’s right dude he went that stretch dude he had never won ever on tour and then wins the WM and then won like four of the next six events including the Masters remember that like that stretch was insane i remember we had him on right before the Masters too yeah so we had him on twice in like a a sevenmon span where like I remember given that speech where I said you are going into the Masters with a chance to win i’m like it hasn’t happened yet you’re sitting there talking to us in your living room and you are one of the favorites to go win the Masters has that feeling he’s like “Feels cool.” I wonder what his odds were for that that’s actually a really interesting question i know and then me and Frankie met Meredith and um was it Meredith’s father too I believe um I believe so we’ve been around Scotty’s parents a bunch especially at the Ryder Cup when we waited for putting we see him a lot like we see the the the mom and dad a lot on the uh like the media buses they’re always like in the mix on those things they’re always taking shuttles they’re like they’re always at every event walking around backpack on like There’s just they’re funny because they’re they’re on like the media shuttle it’s so like they’re so Scotty’s parents that they’re not getting like dropped off at the front they’re like “Oh no we’ll park somewhere we don’t want We saw them on the Hilton Head shuttle after he won the Masters.” Yep and then he won that event too yep they’re incredible we got to get that guy back on the show man bennett just sees a million rigs and I talked about last week we and I was saying at some point Bennett’s first memory is going to be running onto the green somewhere we’ve had a million chances at it now he’s just he’s at every single one now which understandably so but he’s just like at some point he’s gonna be like “Yeah this is what my dad does every single Sunday me and mom run out on the green big old poop stain right in between his his shoulder blades.” I did see that yeah right there right there she’s like “Oh he has a poop stain sorry about that guy just won 4 million bucks and he’s like “I got to get back to being a dad here we go.” Just in the trenches i’m only going to read this it made me laugh we got you know we had to put a request in and I put a request in a couple weeks ago with Scotty through Tailor Made then another one through his agent and I got a text back and said his agent said “Thanks i doubt it we’ll check.” No dude that’s We got What we do dude i actually hit the haha button on that i thought that was hilarious what we do on this show is we make the next superstar who appears to potentially be Ben Griffin we had him on the flying sports he’s unbelievable he won twice in five weeks he went headto-head with Sky Sheffller it didn’t work out for him but he’s just he’s now the guy I guess if you’re an upand cominging player and you want that I mean dude we had Nico on and he like was the hottest player on but when Scotty was out Nicovaria Atvaria was the hottest golfer on tour windham Clark won a US Open windham Clark won a US Open right after we had him couple years but it was it was around the same time well after we did the video right oh no i guess it was right we did the video after cuz he brought he was going to bring the US Open trophy that’s right i just saw Max is out there at 36 hole US Open qualifying today he’s carrying his own bag ricky Fowler and Max Homer are both trying to qualify in the same tournament that like the Wesley the the brother the Brian Bros are doing dude you know who else is in that i believe 12-year-old Pete no way i think he is dude wow what a blast from the past he made it all the way through to where these guys are at and he’s at the same qualifying site as those guys holy [ __ ] isn’t that unbelievable if he just plays lights out golf for the next two rounds he has a chance of being in the US Open yep i’m trying to pull that [ __ ] up right now Frank i could play I could get Scotty Sheffller I could get Scotty Sheffller on the show right now and give you give you a quote uh quote from his interview at the Northern Trust talking about Dave and Brooks the Dave Brooks match you have it yeah it’s it’s pretty fun it’s just funny let me hear it let me hear I want to hear like where he was at like me too yeah i want to take Trent just asked him if he was aware of the Dave and Brooks match and here are his thoughts is gonna win or Yeah I mean I would if I was betting on I would probably bet on Brooks okay no offense brooks is gonna kill Dave yeah I forget he always goes against Dave i’ve seen I’ve seen I’ve seen Dave’s video of him doing the He only took 385 stinks i’ve never seen play lefty so I That was going to be my question to you have you ever seen so you never seen never even atte I think the world has really only seen videos here and there it’s pretty good could be doctorred he just looks young and we like just even look at the way we were like ah who’s like you know they gave us Sky Sheffller I wasn’t even facing him I was turned away imagine he was sitting there with us right now we’d be oh my god rock hard Scotty Sheffller man come on the show dude dude look at this Pete no joke Pete 12-year-old Pete shot one over today he is T32 and he’s only Let’s see we got one two three four five i mean like max home see and is like one under is that right that’s crazy that Pete’s doing this oh Max is three under he’s like right there dude is that nuts how about on this show i don’t think we ever talked about Charlie Woods charlie Woods won that uh Taylor Made Invitational i got a question about that cuz I I was under the impression with Mr charlie Woods that he was pretty solid you know for like a 15-year-old kid for a while he would go to the event at the PNC and play way better you know than he kind of usually does or they would cut to him when he’s hitting great shots and it was fun but then he wasn’t even like really on the elite level of the other golfers in like Florida at his age or whatnot i’m looking at the field of this AJ Aga thing these guys like the Miles like all these guys that he beat are like as good as it gets aren’t they i mean Miles Russell plays in on PJ Tour events and he was playing against like some of the best like collegiate um prospects or aspiring PJ Tour players that that Tailor-Made Invitational like AJGA events like one of the more prestigious ones i think that’s massive i mean you don’t get like all those names in there without it being it actually someone messaged me and they may have messaged you also that they played in the same event um and played like in front of Charlie on the last day and that he was just like like it was crazy to like be around him like he had like an aura around him and this is like one of his like competitors and like the kids like his age was like he just like had it and he was like it was really cool to see like he just on the range on the first te like had it yeah cuz I was in the same boat i was in the same boat with Rigs i I you just hear a lot about him and it almost got to like a Bronny situation where you’re like you’re hearing a lot about this guy but the people who know things are kind of like you know it’s it’s not great it’s not like the level that people are portraying it to be and then when he won that event and again I don’t know i didn’t look into the event i know Miles Russell was in it but outside of that I didn’t know a ton about it but for him to win I think that’s got to be a pretty big [ __ ] deal dude and I you know I was kind of seeing right like oh he’s trying to make a US Open qualifying and he shoots 84 and you’re like all right like okay that’s not really he’s not really close that’s fine it’s no big deal go live your own life swing your swing whatever this was like oh he’s Tiger Woods i mean that was I couldn’t like the way the clips that I saw he’s shooting like five seven under on the weekend to like dust the field i was like this is insanity what is this so he looks he looks huge like he looks like like strong thick like oh my god so yeah I was boy that kind of shocked me i love to see it that yeah that’s great news i feel like that’s a lot of for Charlie I can’t it’s it’s only thing is good news for that I guess like if he if the if the dynasty keeps going great yeah I saw uh we got a little happy Gilmore 2 trailer has uh kind of come out trailers a lot of a lot of trailers but the comedy like how much are you supposed to see about this thing like we know it’s going to we know it’s going to be great why do we we’ve seen like a million scenes already all these cameos should have been surprises it’s it’s bizarre are the way that they’re promoting this like what’s wrong with them it’s Is there no Is there no like surprise in cinema anymore i was surprised at how much they showed yeah me too like oh like Scotty like and all the guys are posting it karawa and and Scotty Sheffler and Rory Maroy and like it’s [ __ ] crazy like we know everything we’ve seen all the clips we’ve seen Xander fall on the table yeah we’ve seen all the big moments where like if you were in the movie theater like oh [ __ ] yeah like even them running back like with a movie like this you’re obviously going to run back the things that were popular and funny in the first one but like did I need to see Chubs’s son in the trailer no I don’t think so yeah they give all that away they gave all that away i’ve seen all those like cool callback moments that are probably supposed to be pretty special when you watch it i’ve seen all of them like hold on to the Ben Stiller part of it hold on to it i know hold on to it and like and and Adam Sandler doesn’t have any like life to his voice even in like the he’s narrating it it’s almost like he’s like there just so he doesn’t get fined you know what I mean like it’s like the character is like not in them from what I’m seeing i still get it i’m not going to say I have high hopes for it but like I’m going to take it for what it is and probably enjoy the [ __ ] out of it i just wish they didn’t film it with those high def cameras i’m told I just go old school with it that actually would have been an incredible like turn if they had done that go old school with it man uh Trent your Thunder are still rolling yes sir oh my god yeah finals bound i Last time I checked the DraftKings sports book they’re minus 700 favorites so Oh it’s not It’s not even going to be close it’s going to be I Well that’s I say that to say it’s going to be devastating if they don’t get it done but I’ve watched enough basketball this year where I think we’re looking at a four or five series game series here poundforpound got to be one of the best gamblers on the DraftKings sports book this guy i mean I d I I bet it preseason got it at plus 700 and I’m just like I’ve been living and dying with the Oklahoma City Thunder i guess I’m like Matt Kendrick now like I just I love this team it’s a It’s such a fun team to watch it’s a defensive first team they just smother people with defense it’s not like a high-flying offense i mean they certainly I mean SGA MVP he averaged 32 points a game this season but like their defense is what gets them through and I like I’m very excited for this NBA Finals and I’m going to be rooting hard for the Thunder hard knicks run i mean they just they don’t have what it takes I feel like to keep up with these teams i mean they they go on too many like it’s too much like isolation type basketball where it’s like it’s got to be one guy or nobody you know like one game it’s Cat that takes over or it’s Brunson hitting absurd shots there’s no like team aspect to it it felt like and the Pacers are the opposite they’re getting [ __ ] from everyone oh my god pacers like no matter who it’s like yeah um knee smith kneesmith or seakum or hallebertton it’s like at any moment they just keep zipping it around the perimeter and a guy they also don’t miss so it’s like how we kept saying that for game uh six where it’s like at some point they’re going to miss and they just don’t every open shot they make that guy McConnell how you look at him you’re like how did he make the national basketball association how do he make the NBA it’s like him and Pton I tried hard played defense on you so hard and you’re like [ __ ] relax dude he’s like I’m going to [ __ ] make it shout out he did shout out to Shalamé for going to Indiana again yep bringing Kylie Jenner to India so that was a very funny one where was like he got he goes someone was like this guy got Kylie Jenner to Indianapolis on a Saturday night they got to Indianapolis on a Friday night my brother said something funny to me i he was wondering if that’s the first time a Kardashian has been in Indiana inside the state of Indiana there’s a case for it unless they went to like the Indy500 or something but [Music] golf is hard but doesn’t know this is the kid that we played he He’s in Pinehurst area and like Rigs played him in a match i played him in a match he beat Rigs in a match when he was 12 years old yep straight up i played him in a match he gave me seven pops i was 25 years old at the time he was like 13 and he gave me seven strokes dude I’m telling you I played with him at Liberty National like maybe two years ago and he shot like 65 or something from Jesus and I was just like “What the [ __ ] is happening out here?” Yeah he’s he’s really good so yeah I can’t believe he’s right there i think there’s six spots and he’s currently dude he’s like three shots out of sixth right now so I think he’s got 18 holes to go wow unbelievable stuff but uh all right i think looking on here I think that’s all that I had you guys got I mean I know Trent would enjoy everyone needs to go watch this rehearsal series this guy Nathan Fielder the finale is one of the craziest things I’ve ever seen anyone pull off in TV it’s on HBO hbo by the way it was HBO then it was HBO Go and then it was HBO Max and then it was just Max and now it’s going back to HBO Max they can’t figure it out they can’t figure it out saw that just f You got to have HBO in there because that’s like what you know of like it’s the brand it’s like one of the more pop one of the more powerful brands in all of like entertainment you got to go watch this guy i don’t I I’ve been He’s It’s the first time a show I can’t describe it i keep trying to tell people like why you have to go why it’s funny and why you have to watch it but when you describe it it sounds horrible like you’re like he’s trying to figure out why planes crash and but the way he does it is funny it’s so [ __ ] good he takes a bit and brings it to levels that you can’t even wrap your head around like he’s the king of you’re watching it and it says three years earlier and he’s been doing some you know what I mean like you’re like who the [ __ ] is this guy actually like the way this series ends you I laughed so hard cuz I’m like there’s no way this is this guy’s life he’s an actor he’s a comedian but he’s gotten himself into this bit so far that he can’t he can’t remove himself now dude it’s [ __ ] funny you got to watch it Trent Please take my recommendation and watch this series i’m telling you you will you will die all right i got I’ve been hearing a lot about it and I I’m I’m going to watch it okay the rehearsal it’s called The Rehearsal the first season’s great but the second season is outrageous rigs I uh and for putting a bow on on the pot i know we spoke about it the 25K match kind of off the top i messaged our guy i said ‘Just want you to know big thing for us is the money is not going to be backed by anybody’s company in any way shape or form he said ‘Th that’s awesome i actually assumed it was going to be bar stool money i could assure you that I’m not using any sponsor money i said “No chance it’s going to be bar stool money right from Rig’s bank.” Yeah right from Rig’s bank account he said “That’s amazing i’m pretty [ __ ] nervous.” There you go yeah i mean who isn’t you know I’m a little nervous of course we’re nervous but that’s perfect that’s all we need that’s the last piece of the puzzle now it’s just go time go time so I’m going to go to the range soon as we wrap this thing up i got some practicing to do you 1. I feel straight up for the hater series is what’s needed. You can’t chirp Riggs and then be a pussy and ask for strokes

  2. DOD King has been doing "War against Weasels" for 2-3 years. Thumping your chests about "originality" is wild. You guys had a large head start but squandered it then had to play catch up with your content. Just go out and play and stop the crying.

  3. Ben Griffin is a great golfer, but he's also arrogant. Maybe because of his play as of late. But, you can't tell me he didn't have nerves playing with/against Scottie.

  4. Brendan – had a similar thing happen to me with a lot of the same symptoms, ended up getting diagnosed as an Acute Confusional Migraine. Scary at the time, and in the 15 years or so since my first one I've only had 2 or 3, had never had any migraines of any sort before that, but they told me dehydration and fatigue and stress can be triggers, which seems to track with your situation. Hopefully all is well going forward!

  5. I’d like to go head to head with Trent , not hating just think it would be a even match , or even JJ , I’m a high handicap not saying I’m good just playing one of them would be a cool experience

  6. You want me to believe that Rory and Jack had a long enough lunch to go through every shot of the Masters, but Rory not playing Jack's tourney never cane up?!!?. Grfoh

  7. Frankie, I believe Jack has a condition where his eyes are just constantly watering. My great uncle has the same thing. Although I do believe there were some tears for Barbara, he is not always crying. My dad and I are also big criers. My dad, like yours, starting crying when Rory won the Masters. Keep the tears flowing, embrace the emotions.

  8. Needs to be stroke play and Portnoy cant pay when you lose. Riggs gets hate for lying about his handicap, so he should be doing STROKE PLAY to prove hes not lying but he does match play because he knows he cant come close to being a 4 handicap.

  9. 8:03 there's nothing wrong with calling out a liar, if he wanted to prove his "haters" wrong than he would be doing stroke play. Nobody respects a liar/cheater, that's why Riggs gets soo much grief.

  10. That kid was not a hater. That’s just a kid from Philly. That’s everyone I grew up with. Talking 💩 is just banter. We tell everyone they suck
