probably like a 10 like everybody imagines it cuz we hit the ball far that we’re all scratch golfers but that’s just not the case all right that Well how about this me and my buddy Adam we’ll go alternate shot me and him i’m a 10 handicap he’s an eight handicap so it probably be harder on us to play alternate than if we just did straight up oh yeah that’s like the hardest format there i’m I’m cool with that all right let’s do it let’s have a good time long way bobby Ray that’s what they call you right i wish my girlfriend called me that starting off hot today I guess he said he is down to doing that he’s actually the number eight ranked long driver in the world right now we’re at Palm Beach National we’re on the back nine conor and I are going to do alternate shot something we’ve never done before i think it’ll give us a little bit of a better format for this match against Bobby Ray we’re going to flip it to you to see who goes first nine hole match play alternate shot if you enter a tournament how much they cost 650 or 700 depending on the event so if you win in this match we’ll cover your next entry really hell yeah deal deal let’s do it let’s go i’m going to do something for you guys you guys both get to hit T-shots every hole and then alternate shots starts from there cuz I think alternate shot is brutal i think it turns 10 handicaps into like 15 handicaps you guys “This guy’s pretty freaking sassy.” And I’m like I don’t I don’t want to fight an old man today bobby let us know what y’all do in that situation put us down in the comments would you uh chirp back or would you say “Hey man we’re we’re just playing some casual golf here.” All right I got eight iron let’s get one up on the green get a birdie putt bobby Ray’s like 60 yards in on the opposite fairway here we go oh come on that wind’s killing it good shot oh no that’s okay i got the short game bro we’re good wind’s just whipping 30 mph well I’m in the fairway just on the wrong hole which is something I’m very accustomed to we got 90 yards to flag a little bit downwind so I’m going to play it like a low 80 shot and give ourselves a look for birdie oh he didn’t go in the bunker we got a tight lie in the Bermuda grass over here and we’re kind of shortsided so this is not an easy chip but I have faith go what a shot great shot let’s go it’s my teammate that’s what I’m talking about there’s no chance I’m chipping this out of this lies these are pretty quick too from what I could tell on the practice screen so just get it rolling kind of hot no yeah it just kind of hopped out of me out of that stuff all right we’ve got to move just a little bit right on me good thank you that was a money putt right there got the long game and the short game just wait dang that put some play they’re already one under through two holes i think this hole is like 360ish but we got a little bit of a help win so I’m going to just play the standard length driver and just kind of try to cut one up there and maybe I’ll get on the green jeez i pulled it if it wasn’t 400 y’ be in the fairway I think I’m good i don’t know what’s over there but uh hopefully I got a good break just kind of have a collection of trees over there i just kind of pulled it mr long Way Bobby Ray how we doing brother i’m good man i mean we’re out here beautiful day on the golf course how’d you get into long drive though well I just always hit the ball far were you playing golf at some level before i was a walk-on at University of Tampa and then my buddies just kept pounding me to give it a shot and try a local qualifier and I went out and won a local qualifier and then you know the rest kind of like okay you fall in love with the sport and the adrenaline rush and like you know competing again and all that stuff so it’s fun i don’t know how long I’m going to do it it’s hard on your body putting that much torque on your body and your joints and everything but it’s fun i enjoy the culture i enjoy the camaraderie and all that stuff 78 yards coming a bomb of a drive i got to hit a lob wedge about 80 yards get to stop on a dime this bottle’s giving me issues and we make another birdie throw it up on the green just give us a birdie putt that was good that was real nice little deep that’s okay hit it really well i thought it was perfect not going to lie it’s all right well we can make that putt connor can make that putt oh good so we’re pin high here i just kind of pulled it a little bit but this is not a bad angle it’s like 65 yards to the flag i want to hit something kind of low and let it kind of run back there I guess i don’t know i I like to pretend that I have any clue what I’m doing but I don’t not bad i think it was probably like 15 ft short but right idea take it hey shoot me straight you blade that no that’s exact shot I was trying to hit he was convinced that you scoldled it to I didn’t think you scaldled it you said bladed it that’s not a bad guess but I was trying to hit a low runner i I flushed it i’m going to try and make this i’m going to chip it yeah I take the risk sometimes adam wants me to putt it but I’m not going to putt it i’m going to chip it [Music] was all right all right we got a putt to win the hole i’d say it’s about a 12 to 15 footer somewhere in that range moving a little bit left right what I don’t want to do is blow it by the hole and give myself a three-footer coming back oh my gosh dude good shot we’re 10 handicaps but we’re kind of playing like scratches right now kind of you’re playing some decent golf i don’t want to hear any sandbagging comments either because just just wait you will see why I’m a 10 handicap at some point I’m going to hit a bunch of balls out of play and Okay [Music] look at the freaking guns on those guys it’s a specimen of a human we’re hitting pretty much right into the teeth of this wind it’s a little bit off the left but there’s a ton of room right on this hole but just don’t be a [ __ ] and miss it left just just miss it right this is the way I think this is if I can avoid penalty strokes I like my chances don’t go left there’s a lake over there it’s either in the lake or it’s behind trees so couple good options there you said stuck behind trees yeah break out the gun some look like Ray right now there’s your key all right let’s hit a shot in the fairway probably going to get a sick tan line oh boy probably alive right definitely alive that was what I was talking about dude you can go as far right here as you want i know that was a bad T- shot but you’re alive like I’m going to try to te this one a little bit lower and try to get under the wind here and uh just went out in the fairway not hit a duck like Bobby R it’s contagious can at least have eyes on it it is straight into the fan i think it’s playing more like I don’t even know 220 i don’t think I can get this there but I don’t want to hit a five iron i just don’t know where it’s going to go i’m going to hit this we’re good it didn’t It didn’t draw [Music] in their backyard no it’s short of it i think it just bounced in their backyard how does that not How does the hill not make it go left my teammate’s fine he’s going to throw a flop shot over the tree and we’ll get a birdie putt out of it or part butt i guess it’s crazy how my game just flips after nine holes flips yeah I played well and now I suck that was one bad shot oh he’s got a bad T- shot all right hit it so bad that it’s okay it actually stayed short of that lake normally when I play here if I miss it left it’s in that little waist area lake it’s okay but I’m going to have to hit like a punchy draw shot i’ve got like 85 yards here a little bit short of it but I mean I’ll take it we got a tough chip shot over here we’re a little shortsided but short game specialist that’s what we are over here going to get one up there on the green that was great oh it died it was a foot short dude it really wasn’t a bad shot man dolph is hard me and Adam are both just going to be removing a sleeve each tea box see if we can get in tight i just want to comment on the fact that Connor is a great host on this channel he’s got his sleeves rolled up really has me feeling very comfortable adam I’d appreciate it if you’d roll your sleeves up makes me feel a little bit more comfortable on the tea box we’ll do it all right i can take my pants off too if you want i would prefer it not bad effort there not bad he had a good lag putt there probably good if I get a close do good good do it oh Matt sit you go good good on that one of course cuz yours hole this is a good match a little back and forth action bad hole there we’ll come back hot i’m a little concerned right now cuz things are going a little too well and I already know right now anyone in the comments is going to be like 1080 cap i literally shot three consecutive rounds like 88 87 89 i did witness at least one of those rounds i mean I couldn’t even keep a ball in play fifth hole bobby is up one par five down win bobby’s probably driving the green with my sleeves up like this i probably got a good 30 yard i look like a little wimp compared to these guys it’s not even fair you look good dude palm Beach National where we’re playing today it’s like 20 minutes from my house i live in Palm Beach Gardens the people out here are super chill like anything goes out here it’s one of the few places I can kind of come out here sleeveless and just kind of relax and just kind of have a leisurely round if you will leisurely 600 i mean around obviously I look like a bag i’m well aware and I’m a little bit of bag but but I’m a self-aware bag at least jeez I think it’s the best round I’ve ever seen yeah it’s actually true that thing’s out there we just found a crack in my driver so that’s pretty cool i’m going to blame that on all my duck hooks i got driver i don’t even have a glove on yes sir you’re done stay right stay okay it’s definitely okay the wind just kind of caught it yeah I think I just got an extra 30 yards just for pulling my sleeves up so get one out there dang look at these triceps that’s all that matters the important thing you played at Auburn right those are some Auburn triceps war Eagle war Eagle baby this is the Alabama triceps don’t show my arms my weak little arms it’s okay i slowed it further than Connor [Music] all right we got 169 i’m going like that not that I’m that dialed in but see if I can hit it in there close and give myself a good eagle look it’s so classic hammer drive like 410 420 right down the middle really really good drive chunko shot from 100 yards now I got to get up and down i hit a 330 yd drive and I look short compared to him that’s crazy it was one of the best drives I could hit and I’m 50 yards shorter of Bobby Ray 100 yards and I left it like 25 yards short of the black but we still got an up and down opportunity for a birdie here i don’t feel comfortable shipping from these tight lies so I’m just going to putt it sit not terrible look at this right here i was going to fall all the way in we just barely got it over the lip conor great shot but we got a crazy eagle foot down the hill left to right that’s way faster than I thought all right we can work with that not horrible but not great i was more worried about falling into the bunker than anything all right we got a putt at birdie we knocked this in put some pressure on his birdie putt oh baby just got us rolling the rock boom all right putting a little pressure on me here got to make this for birdie and there’s even more pressure because I had literally 100 yards in to a par five can’t be making pars without that wind it’s a really good drive dude thanks man that’s what you’ll remember though no one’s going to remember the fact that I made a par and I choked it away they’re going to remember the drive and that’s that’s the beauty of hitting the ball far one thing I do remember is we are back even on this match so we are all square going into the next hole that was big it’s a dog leg right here 300 what 380 yard 380 long hit driver on the left side holy wind this is going to go nowhere i just took a divot with my driver that was the worst thing of the day it’s tough to look at we’re going to redeem that divot though just get one out there and play all right we might be in trouble they’re in a little bit of trouble here the smart play probably would be for me to hit a an iron off the tea here but this is YouTube and to be honest with you there’s no such thing as a smart play with me cuz I can hit anything in the house and that was a dead pole i don’t know what that it was hit hard but it was going left so that actually could have looked us out a little bit tough hole i hated the way that hole looked to my draw that big old fade hole yeah all right let’s find yours and hit it again 190 from here we found Connor’s ball it’s now my turn i’m just glad we’re up honestly I hit a horrible drive so a lot of wind and that tree going to have to drop hitting three now try to get up and down save a par all right i got 127 probably playing It’s probably playing close to 140 see if we can get it back there chunk pulled it not very good it’s been a rough hole adam did what he needed to and Bobby had to drop if we just get one up there safe give Adam a good look at it we’re going to be just Let’s do it [Applause] side that will do the trick that’s what I’m talking about so these guys are apparently tour pros what a shot i mean he had a 40 yard pitch shot and he had it to 2 or 3 feet so I got to make this for a par and all likelihood just to tie him so yours is good pick it up one down going into what whole six seven uh yeah we got three more holes we’re playing well so what’s your uh next on the radar right now what are you training for so our long drive season starts like March 23rd or 24th it’s our first event out in Mosqu what are the logistics of that you have to pay for your own travel your entry fees and everything for that yeah the upper echelon guys have sponsors that kind of take care of that stuff but I mean it’s usually about 7 800 bucks for an entry plus travel plus hotel you know the purses are you know ain’t the PGA tour i’ll tell you that we got some cranes in play right here hopefully I can get over those guys but driver get one in play finish this baby strong what up oh this guy is sick might have been a car i don’t know i think it might have conor is in play at least so we should be fine i’m going to try not to duck like this or hit the birds in front of us so that’s the plan hit a 300 yard drive and it feels nothing compared to Bobby Ray who’s over the green he hits it so far like the stuff that’s supposed to be in the way isn’t even in the way 75 yards i’ve got a 60° i’m just trying to get it up there give him a look at it again keep this thing rolling got to go yes all right baby let’s go man come on maybe alternate shots just our format yeah are we just better at that we probably lean on each other too much in a scramble just like kind of just swing at it think oh yeah dude my dog mild off and on the course we’re like pin high over here to the left almost went into the Johnson’s backyard here 36 yds the flag kind of into the wind should be able to land it probably about 30 take that probably 8 or 10 ft left to right conor a great wet shot try to roll us in for another birdie boom baby come on the butter is seam what is this golf this is this kind of the best you guys I mean you said your best ever 77 your best 79 you guys made three birdies in what seven holes alternate shot who are we i don’t know look at us i got this putt to go to one under for my round and if I don’t make it I’m two down with two to go so I don’t know what more I can really do all right you saw it going left thought it was going to be pretty straight cuz I mean if you look down this hill here I feel like if you hit it down that hill it would try to imagine just a terrible misread but there’s no way I was going to have this thing outside the whole left that was a weird read we’re dorming now going in the last two holes i mean this is a crazy run for me and Adam so far he’s playing great too that’s a par right there it’s absent par but we’re going into the 17th hole two holes left up two he’s got to get a dub right here if that’s not a Seymour advertisement I bit probably playing about 330 i’m just going to try to cut something up there and maybe I’ll get lucky oh yeah okay get on the green oh it’s an edge let’s go i needed that i needed that you guys will probably chip in for eagle anyway i mean the dude hits it a long way it’s impressive to watch that it’s just really cool to see that’s crazy he’s been high right almost that is insane dude all right going to have to punch it around some coconuts right here we got a tree dead center of the flag stick so I’m going to go left of the tree see if I can punch it up there hold on put this man in a coffin oh no i think he could have gone in between the trees for sure i got to get up and down for par and I had two putt for a birdie so I might have a chance here tough bunker shortsided well I mean mark here i landed and checked back about a foot absolute massive crater in this green here that kind of a shot happens for me maybe once every like two or three times I play like it’s pretty rare little bit downwind though and this wind is like moving balls in the green so it should move out a little bit we got a [ __ ] up there stretching or whatever the he’s doing trying to distract me i love coming on your guys’ channel where you guys sandbag me and try to distract me as I’m making eagle putts yo yo dude it’s kind of blocked that’s that good oh yeah that’s good forcing this thing to and an eagle in nine holes so I’m gonna have to try to drive the green as well and hopefully I can make a putt for eagle i’m gonna just go full throttle with the two iron be nice oh yeah the fairway i hit it so bad that it’s okay but I’m probably going to have to hole out i’m the real long driver you don’t have to roll up your sleeves or have big guns to hit it 310 yards apparently pure skill come on dude i was just looking at the water waiting for a splash i didn’t see his splash remember the last time I drove the green on par 42 and I hit into this guy at the green zone it’s like the only time you’re hitting the green is if someone’s on it and you should be able to hit it that far that’s awesome total accident i just saw the guy turn around and I was like I do not know how that stayed on the green it It may have landed like short in the fringe and like killed it but it was perfect i mean it’s literally pin high they’ve got probably 20 25 ft for eagle i got 68 yds just ran into a couple studs today not much more you can say oh yeah oh that’s a good shot right there this is Adam’s ball mark right here absolutely insane all right I’m just going to try and drip this one up there
