Bryson DeChambeau debuted his new LA Golf Single Length Irons on Day 1 at LIV Virginia, just 1 week before the US Open at Oakmont. In this video, I share the breaking news and what information I’ve been able to gather on these irons.
At Single Length School, our goal is to golf smarter, not harder, by using single length or one length irons.

hey everyone Craig with Single Length School and apologize for the attire i was actually at my son’s hockey game uh earlier this morning um had a shut out they won 7 nothing uh on the flip side my daughter is with my wife at a softball tournament in Cedar Point and she had one heck of a day as well hitting a home run I think six RBI’s in two games so she’s had a great day and as for me kind of an exciting day as well because as all this is going on with my family yeah we had some breaking news in the golf world specifically the single length world so the big news is the LA golf Bryson Dshambo collaboration is officially in his bag that’s right bryson has been working with LA golf for a long long time on putters and shafts and a lot of different things and his tournament irons that we know have been Avod for the last year couple years uh as AOTA was working through that but we did hear the rumblings that Bryson was working with LA Golf on a revamped set of irons that he was going to put into the bag well they appeared today at Live Golf Virginia that’s right as Bryson’s getting ready for next week’s US Open at Oakmont he threw the new sticks in the bag and I’m going to pop up some pictures here and I’m going to let you guys know this is going to be pretty quick but I’m going to give you as much insight as I’ve been able to find over the last few hours so the first thing I can say for sure is that we know the LA golf irons are a single length set of irons because that’s what Bryson plays the other thing I’ve been able to gather is that they have the bulge and roll faces just like the AOTA irons that Bryson had worked on and has had in the bag however from my understanding there’s not quite as much bulge and roll specifically in the heel and that’s to reduce some of the gear effect on heelsided strikes one of the other cool features is the tungsten waiting on the toe of the club on the back side near the toe is a set of or not a set of but a tungsten weight that helps square and keep that club face more square without that toe rolling over causing more hooks so it looks like there is a good bit of advancement in the technology in this set of irons and I’ll be curious to see because Oakmont is no easy task if you’ve seen some of the videos which I’m sure most of you have by now the rough is going to be thick shots are going to be needed to be extremely precise to shoot well at Oakmont and I for one cannot wait to see those shots in person and truly see how crazy that course is going to play specifically on Sunday but for players going into a major Bryson has kind of always been outside of the norm going into majors he’s not afraid to make equipment changes the week before a major and here we go again we see it again this week the new LA Golf irons are in the bag they’re beautiful you know they have the LA Golf shaft you know he’s going to have the Jumbo Max grips on it and Bryson is so in tune with his clubs that he’s had a lot of input he’s been through a lot of variations of the set that is in the bag now so at this point I’m sure he’s comfortable he just wanted to get them into tournament play before the US Open now the question becomes how long before we see those on market for single length iron players like me you anybody else you know that plays single length irons well that’s always the hard speculation i don’t have any dates i don’t have any contacts at LA Golf i’m going by what I’ve been able to gather what I’ve been able to see you probably if I had to put money on it you probably will not see that set from LA Golf hit storeshelves or be available on their website anytime before probably September or October they’re going to focus on getting it right for Bryson before they take it to market now when it goes to market I would absolutely love to be able to share any review any more information I can find on it for you but since this was breaking news I wanted to get it out there share it with all of you give you a chance to watch and at least know what I know about Bryson’s Iron so if you have any more information that you want to share with everybody else do me a favor leave a comment down below if you’re checking out the channel for the very first time do me a favor and hit that subscribe button and go give me a follow on my social media @ single length school on Instagram and Facebook at OneLength School over on X and guys I have a new video coming for you Sunday but this was breaking news so there you go see you on Sunday

I tried the LA Golf driver. I currently play the Krank. It was a huge disappointment – and returned. Their customer service is understaffed and new to all this. Everyone should consider waiting for a bit on all this.
In a video Bryson said the reason for the weight at the toe is a rethinking of what CG means. Traditionally cg is simply cg of club head. With the irons, they're considering the whole club and then evaluating the cg. The thing is he uses heavier shafts (not uncommon for tour), BUT he also uses Tour JMX grips that are 50g over standard. That grip setup is very rare. So the questions is, how does the tungsten weight come into play when using normal 50g grips? Opt for a lighter one? But then what's the point in first place.
Apart from having selective curve towards the toe, I don't see how theses are going to be a leap forward compared to Avoda in the single length space.
Jumbo max grips are lighter than normal rubber grips unless you are talking about the original ones which he doesn’t use them for years
Those are some fugly looking irons.😂
Both of your mics are on.
Avoda has the bulge face for $3k. I doubt if LA Golf will be any cheaper.
