Do it Best Foundation raises $1.3 million in annual golf outing

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) – The Do it Best Foundation held its fifth annual golf outing on Monday and raised $1.3 million for local organizations.

“Fore the Cause” took place at four golf courses around Fort Wayne:

Fort Wayne Country ClubOrchard Ridge Country ClubPine Valley Country ClubSycamore Hills Golf Club

More than 450 Do it Best suppliers, vendors and partners participated.

Curtis Smith, Do it Best Foundation’s executive director, said the $1.3 million will reach beyond Fort Wayne.

“It’s a lot of money, and all we do is funnel that money to non-profits,” he said. “We give back to our community, but we also give back to communities around our warehouses all over the country. Everything we raise today — raised by people outside of Fort Wayne — comes into Fort Wayne, and we disburse it out to so many wonderful organizations. It’s a beautiful picture.“

The Do it Best Foundation was founded in 2019 and has given more than $2 million in grants across the country.
