golf grip size what should you be using and why golf grip size is a really interesting subject so I’ve got Ping’s grips here just to show you because they color code it making it all kind of easier to understand so they have a jumbo which is big they then have a midsize which is not as big but bigger than standard which is their black or white color way um and then they have an acron and a red which is undersized and then even more undersized meaning smaller hands you would go maybe possibly to more towards the undersized to a standard and then bigger hands you’re going to move up maybe to a midsize and a jumbo that would be your basics so hand size could be a factor that helps you choose a certain grip now I’ve got quite small hands i wear a men’s small glove but I do and have dabbled with a midsize grip i’ve also dabbled with midsize plus fours where it’s a little bit more one it doesn’t taper as much doesn’t get as thin towards the bottom it’s kind of one size more all the way down and sometimes just feeling that slightly thicker grip maybe makes me feel that I can feel where the face is a little bit more maybe that I’ve got more grip to hold on to to try and pull harder as I’m swinging fast but remember these are personalized feelings to me and that’s one of the main things when it comes to grip size the the research is slightly limited but trying some different grip sizes might trigger some different feelings people talk about thicker grips maybe controlling club face rotation thinner ones encouraging more i haven’t found that so much for myself and people even I’ve tested with i do find different grip sizes thick to fin make people go I feel that face a bit more with this size but it’s more personal to the player hand size would be a basic where you start if you got bigger so if you’re a medium or a large men’s grip you might go midsize or jumbo if you’re a medium or small men’s grip you might go more standards and then if you start going into ladies size grips or club size I should say you might go more into the standard through down into the under size don’t just go standard grip you get a chance to try some different ones you should if you got a friend who’s got a club with a different grip size on try it see what it feels like see what feels it promotes because it can really promote some different feels thanks for watching and I hope you found that helpful remember to head over to the website to find the following perks we offer free UK standard delivery for life we offer loyalty points on every purchase and free access to the golf academy here at the golf shop
