[Music] [Applause] [Music] hello and welcome back to final round coverage from the 2025 Northwest Disc Golf Championship presented by Latitude 64 we have just nine holes left to decide our champion out here at Glendeir and you are watching Jomez Pro with Nate Ston Jeremy Bowling and Paul Ulibar it’s going to be a tight race but before we get to that I just want to let you guys know that this week Gomez is sponsored holdmybagdg.com anthony Drell with that two-shot lead over Ganon Burr Kyle Klene and Isaac Robinson all in the mix isaac with a little bit less holes to play that’s going to be important for him in his chances to come back and win this thing but man has there been a more beautiful day to play disc golf it’s a little bit windy it’s making it a little bit tricky but it’s like a high of 72 and just everyone’s got smiles plastered to their faces uh let’s start off here with hole 10 par4 710 ft most of these guys I think are going wide left gap turn over fast driver try to give them inside 300 ft in i feel like this left gap play is kind of new did maybe an OB line got removed yeah I I think it did honestly cuz I don’t remember in years past guys just sending one way left but it’s a great spot to be Kyle that was a mash i think around 300 maybe a little bit less than that to the pin for Kyle Klein all safe out there just on the other side of the spectator rope pretty wide open shot from there wide open angle 260 to the pin wow even farther than Kyle huh yeah much farther wow the tree that Kyle hit slowed him down significantly but yeah full flight there saw this mistake from a couple other people there’s plenty of room over there though that was essentially the same exact shot 5 ft short of Cory but the same exact line you said same mistake you You find that to be a mistake um you know I I play I say that because I played with Ricky he threw it over there and he was actually worried about the OB line that you’re talking about Nate so he he counted it as a mistake and so maybe that’s exactly where they’re trying to throw it seemed like it was a little early for me for Anthony okay but it feels to me like there should be an OB line over here just based on how stressful a lot of the other holes are but there isn’t so you can really throw it far left there is a bunker but these guys are throwing plenty far enough to clear that ganon’s drive was full on 100 ft past these ones wow it did look smoked it It was unbelievably far yeah perfect approaches yeah I don’t know why I’m not going over here it seems to be a great play you don’t have to worry about this tree in the way kyle also doesn’t really have to worry about that tree being in the way i hit right side hill but the right angle it sat down pretty close it’s probably max 25 to 26 feet away again it’s jumping i think you might be on to something with the mid-range idea when you were asking us if I think that yellow one is a mid it had that it did kind of look like a mid to me i mean the the late stability in the flight is why I was asking i mean that thing is pretty zippy out of the hand i think I should have asked him what that was he was putting with early solid putt kyle continues to put down birdies he’s three in a row now that’s the first birdie for Ganon in a long time is that going to be a new skill these guys learn is jump putting like flippy fairway drivers from 250 what’s Ganon’s control over the jump putt why not saw him jump out a function like 230 feet just for fun in a showcase event and it was everyone else would be throwing a little half shot he jumped a fairway driver just like you said maybe there’ll be like a big demand for like 139 g like super light drivers and that’ll just be like the new thing jump putting 250 and in hole 11 par five 1,145 ft a bunch of gaps to choose from on your T-shot a few less gaps to choose from as the hole gets to the end down here at the bottom of the hill you want to go as big as you can i think a lot of guys are going way out right this year trying to get up near the last mandatory tree see rollers every once in a while you really need uh just to find a place with open footing it’s about that second shot and how much distance you can chew up with the second shot in my opinion so this is going to be that shot outright i got like to get off that tree it’s like the same exact tree that Calvin was nestled up against yesterday and Kyle’s got the same exact amount of room to throw wow nearly the same thing oh plenty of distance though yeah wow just like wow actually kind of crushed it yeah that just like it’s such a small margin the difference that would turn that into just a straight sideways kick that Uh-huh i mean the problem the thing with AB though is it maybe that doesn’t even take birdie out of play even if he was 100 feet off the table oh I don’t think it does i think Well we saw Ricky yesterday yeah you’re right you’re right not a ton of distance for Genanon but he’s got a pretty good open route to go big on this second shot the whole left side of his approach and the second shot’s going to be wide open when you when you’re the king boom daddy and you hit a tree and you still throw farther than someone who had a clean roller on your card that’s just the undisputed champ nice late flip gone oh man wow get that jump putter warmed up can’t really even imagine it being much better from right there ab also green light go overturned his approach shot here yesterday see if he can make the correction oh this is just [Music] huming just the saddest thing in the world it hits that it had a hundred feet at least left in it you think you think C1 maybe i was down the fairway about halfway down and I was just yelling go i was just hoping that we’d get to see a C1 putt hard to say if it would got all the way home but it was looking really good wow oh this is that’s ripped really great all jump putts in pretty much looks like so far cory’s in better position than this oh no needs to swing oh no yeah just just turn sideways mid-flight that’s going to be such a frustrating mistake really just incredible drive to have nothing in front of you and then not be able to turn it into an easy birdie opportunity is very frustrating for Cory who’s still in position to potentially fight his way up to podium with a really great finish you’ll save the par what is that thing there look blunt edge like a putter very curious is this the easiest hole in the course is this the easiest hole in the course what a question nope is it hole 15 oh no i’m sorry you are right this is hole 11 yeah this is the easiest hole in the course is half stroke underpar okay that makes sense and look at that i mean AB He had at least 60 70 feet left I think yeah I think he’s all the way home if that stays clean four jump putts pretty much cory with a little throw but all the distance in the world to get here do you remember the first time we played in 1100T hole i think it was I remember playing that that one at Skylands back in like 2011 it was like,200 feet downhill and I remember just thinking what is this sport even turning into i think we’ve been playing hole two at uh east at Milo for a long time how far is that one and there was before any of our times at Winthrop there was the one they called the quarter mile right yeah they’ve been around but the fact that they’re all jump putting their third shot yeah i don’t think anybody back in the day would jump putting no and the fact that the fact that the easiest hole on a Pro Tour course is,00 ft long i mean what 5t short of 12 oh no 5 ft short of 1150 ab still with a two shot lead yeah he’s just kind of hanging on doesn’t seem like he’s playing great but good enough you’re going to have to Somebody’s going to get on a nice little streak here starting off with this one this is a tricky get you get this one and you’re gaining strokes on somebody on your card cuz you’re not seeing star frames on this tricky little bugger 370 up the hill a lot of rollers straight shot those blockers are are great blockers they keep you at about 40 feet 45 ft kyle coming into the hole with four straight birdies oh make it five this looks great look at this trips up wow on its back inside bullseye just perfect it’s just the moment it leaves his hand there’s just no question about this one [Applause] rollers usually used for big distance shots i love seeing them used for technical shots kind of has an old school feel to it certainly I consider myself a a confident and solid roller thrower and this feels too short to me like I feel like oh oh that’s nice look at that reaction i feel like should I bring a Makeo 3 and try that on the roller you know it it’s a it’s an interesting speed control situation a lot of these guys are really good at it to have a disc flippy enough in your bag that you can throw it in a pretty normal shot and not go too long this also looks great maybe a little deep starting to curl huh maybe they they do do star frames on this [Applause] hole cory not much of a roller thrower he’s going to take this straight out the pin try to push the ceiling and I was talking about these blockers okay I got one blocker yep well technically you got two ab did hit the blocker but just had the top spin so these guys are going to gain a stroke on the guy they don’t need to gain a stroke on possibly unless Cory reaches out and does his classic make the Cory thing mhm i was thinking about Why does it look like this is going dead [Laughter] center before I said something they weren’t going to start frame this were they oh my gosh when there was He had a nice just too funny it looked like a perfect stance didn’t it like he was just squared up to just make that and it’s probably a little outside the circle but it just somehow was taking on that 24 foot feel the wind the leaves aren’t moving nothing’s blowing all of a sudden ganon for three in a row he’s in there well well they did gain one on Isaac can I throw that in there sure he’s in the mix but Isaac actually almost aced it on my guard oh goodness wow yeah right hit the ceiling air shot just right at it oh yeah right at it it was wild he went like 70 deep somehow 70 deep with an air shot i’m telling you that does not compute oh no surfing wow and it they are going to gain a stroke on the person that they did need to try to catch wow well you know that typically happens some never going to see frame here you called it wow i did not see that coming just a complete end of the tray guy no one saw that one coming anony’s been putting so well wow 30 29 [Music] 29 Success is not linear it takes time it’s one of like the best ads I love I get hype every time I see that thing it’s been a pretty amazing 10 years you get hyped for this one but then you’ll probably get smoked by this guy right here or this guy right here there’s one right there too but if you do get through circle Edge is a really good spot to be really tough get I think yeah 455 this is I mean it’s not it’s just not one of those holes through Starframe you know definitely not kyle turned over can it get back the five whole birdie streak is in jeopardy wow five in a row kind of quietly just because you have this race between Genanon and AB and he just keeps inching his way closer a four horse race kind of became a three- horse race with Isaac being three back and also three holes ahead really tough to imagine a way for him to That’s the correct shape right there wow what you could not see from that angle was Ganon actually squeezed through a gap that he I do not think he or anyone would ever try for maybe we’ll see it on this reverse angle here surely we will yeah there’s one right behind it yep mhm look at that yeah buddy no way uh-huh i was like I didn’t know how you could bullseye this thing it’s That’s how that Look at that it’s pretty cool i’m glad they show that angle does he know it h You don’t need to know it well now he does so far away from the tea it’s hard to know what you get through i mean I feel like a a lot of times the play is just throw it pretty hard annheiser overstable driver and then cross your fingers little cleaner little cleaner there for AB yeah stays at that circle’s edge i saw all the good ones like end up short that’s why I was like how did he bullseye that yeah that was a great throw from AB gonna have a tough putt coming up though especially after just missing a real short one and if he misses that the lead’s gone cory still fighting three out of the last four holes kyle looking at scores cory’s been known to drop one or two of these in a round for his whole career on average kind of a big test right here i think that just says a lot about his growth as a player yeah short memory [Applause] uhhuh very poised for these situations now i think two years ago when he wasn’t able to get to the the winner circle with all the talents that he had it just came down to that putt right there that we just saw ab was missing that right left low and high put a lot of time and working on that it’s not just physical preparation mental meditation and all that stuff has been a big part of him getting to the place where he’s at now where he can step up to that putt and make it just like the backyard haven’t seen much from Isaac today but he’s been playing great that’s a great shot settles down at Circle’s edge i still can’t get over it that he went 70 long with a air shot back there on the uphill hole i mean certified the man he’s a He’s certified boom daddy oh yeah that’s the Ricky we we’re used to seeing with the putter those knees aren’t quite as high as they are when he’s in contention but he’s happy about it [Applause] isaac needs birdie eagle yes and help and that’s just for a tie yeah i mean at least right he needs at least that yeah birdie Eagle for the tie so yeah to tie the score that Anony’s currently at he’s cooked he’s he’s he’s in the Yeah that’s He’s cooked hole 14 par4 845 ft ob line on the right ob line on the wood line on the left big turnover is a really nice play here if you can get some distance then you got to swing it wide stay over the sand trap skip in late i think you find a little bit more success than if you try to go straight at the pin this is not turning appropriately in danger of finding OB long green flag but the OB’s so far back there on that line it’s like really far back there he’s probably got some certainly has some trees to deal with now though he’s He’s not gonna like his line his lie is in high grass and awkward runup and only a a sideways hiser pitch out i mean he can get a couple hundred feet but there’s no play for the pin from there this needs to level off just a bit uh not the biggest distance we’ve ever seen from him but doesn’t need it in play certainly in play there’s the height to get all of it this This guy’s angled this week oh my goodness guys wow that is massive it’s a thing of beauty man holy moly yeah look at the spotter he’s like 325 to the pin that’s fantastic 325 to the pin over 500 ft on accurate line oh no this is seems like too much doesn’t it 456 got enough distance i think he’s still within range of getting up there have a look for the par it’s good move got to get down yeah that’s solid and a pretty open look as well that’s just part of it here got to get through got to stay in bounds you love to have an unobstructed look so much speed yeah that’s what worries me i think I don’t like the big swinger i think if he goes flatter and lets it fade towards the pin rather than it’s deep going rocket ship yeah it was just just too big a shot feel like it always happens like that you go and you’re like well I’m leading the tournament if I just swing it in there I’ll hit something yeah nope threw everything doesn’t hit a limb gone he’s lucky that this guy is not in the best position but Kyle is definitely He’s in the best position the best position yeah position A is like 50 feet short of where Kyle’s at he’s He’s in S tier position i’ve never seen one as good as Kyle’s no wow that is really surprising especially on a shot when the goal maybe wasn’t the pin the goal definitely was not even close to the pin just get it anywhere around the trees and into the grass chew up a little distance i mean certainly you can atone here he can he can get there and save this par but yeah just not the kind of shot making you would like to see from either of these guys when the when the chips are down and it’s late in a big tournament kyle Klein doesn’t mind it though I’ll tell you that kind of have to earn it probably right around 40 feet i think that was a good tree honestly i think I think if it gets through it’s going to be a lot like Anony’s tough to hit the brakes right there yeah sure that’s why I think it’s got to be flying over the trap flat yeah I agree if it’s flat over the sand and then it fades i mean yesterday we saw AB barely clear the trap with the steep hiser double skip off the top still goes out of bounds yeah it has to be a slower disc or something yeah like Well we’ll see what Kyle does here he’s got to be having a slow disc going there no one practices this approach yeah he’s got he’s got a blunt edge there this would be huge if he can put this inside circle one especially if the the guys at the top take bogeies deal sneaks it through beautifully bullseye bullseye for Klein that’s going to get him to 30 maybe he’s still going to have that one stroker that’s a long putt friendly spotter helping get through the sticker bushes man he moved way too fast in there that was dangerous he’s bleeding i mean he’s bleeding he’s putting on a brave face but he’s definitely bleeding i’ve never seen anybody move that quick in a blackberry bush shout out to all the volunteers every tournament absolutely okay all that just to say Gon you’re up should be a really really wild four and it it’s gets more wide what a top yeah i didn’t even see it catch the top of that but it definitely caught a bit of metal yeah I heard it i heard it not much no not a lot not too much but yeah it made that sound yeah great great save all right Anthony to match your turn nice just on the strike just just nestled right in the middle it’s just perfect so a little shot making from these two guys for sure it had me scared but those were both very clutch very big putts and they’ll lose a shot to Kyle and I believe that’s going to tie Kyle up for second place one back of the lead and Cory unable to save the par drop another shot remember Ganon and Anthony tied up at the top at the beginning of the round five shot lead over Corey and Kyle now it’s just one with four to go takes three to tango healthy Kyle Klein he’s a dangerous player well and just the kind of the stamina to to come in here and stay patient and on hole 14 he’s won back and uh chasing Anthony Burella and Ganon Burr seems like a very very tall feat when you’re spotting them both a lot of strokes that’s that’s not good odds barely making it inside the mandatory as Isaac Robinson left with long way to the pin guy just refuses to miss a gap oh no looks like a pretty windy putt the chains are moving yep that will be all she wrote for Isaac Robinson this week as we said it was going to take Birdie Eagle to even sniff the title even that may not have been enough but he would have needed a lot of help especially with three players all right there then it takes four to tango and that’s just too many maybe it’s perfect amount you’re back to tangling yeah sure you said that’s back to a line dance oh yeah nate I love how you call this hole yeah man the homage yeah for sure i think that was pretty intentional i I wish there was a few more like this on this course because there are so many nice stands of oaks uh just often with ball golf courses it’s not quite the width of of a tree area that you would need to make a good disc golf hole because you need to design it in a way that doesn’t allow you to just play the hiser around the outside and stay in the grass and they did a good job here keeping the players up the middle this is exactly what you want your shot to look like kyle is on fire he is flaming hot Cheetos right now good thing for Ganon kyle threw that shot and now he knows exactly what he’s got to do just follow the vapor trails looks pretty similar maybe a little inside yeah sure yes it was really good part and good thing for Anthony two players before him just threw that exact same shot that he wants to throw so he can try to follow the vapor trails halfpipe fine stays in bounds not a gimme that is a stressful tournament putt whether it’s hole one or hole 70 or whatever hole we’re on now hole I’m not going to say it cory Ellis I knew he wasn’t going to throw forehand can’t follow the vapor trails of the putter down the middle but it’s a shot that he’s used to hitting being a West Virginia golfer a lot of lines just like this smaller trees similar gap size canon and Kyle certainly looking relaxed for the moment corey a little bit low man that got there fast though i thought it was much lower i was almost dead wrong cuz I was like “Oh surely that’s hitting the the base.” But it actually got almost in off the rim long range specialist hasn’t made it made one long this round yet this is a big putt for Anthony now two players parked perfect pace perfect placement [Applause] can either of you think of another player who stands as upright while putting as Ganon does no i’ve never I can’t think of anyone in the history of the sport who’s able to putt with any sort of efficiency whatsoever that does it nearly standing completely straight up without some bent knees and getting some weight behind you and using your body into the shot pretty isolated to the arm for sure man this is exciting 32 31 31 Just three holes left it’s the last par three of the event 410 ft straight ahead the low right side hiser line has been popular up the middle with the turnover that’s what we saw from Isaac Robinson just so important that these guys can get up here and get birdie looks certainly somebody of the three it’s looking so nice just pick a side if he just a little bit left a little bit right he is home free had the right amount of weight behind it does it get turned oh yeah slide okay 45 been making those putts on this back nine look at all that green going with the hiser flip oh great reaction great reaction took all the skip out of it at least the left the leftward part of the skip yeah look wide open it’s just more turn than Kyle’s but because it gets that extra turn he’s got a wide open pin high look 31 ft kyle will be up first you can see about half the basket but it’s the good side for the hiser putt oh that looked good great effort it’s one of those putts where you’re thinking I don’t think I can miss left if I get the height right I should be fine just moved a little too much a great effort maybe a little distraction back there maybe is it something big time opportunity in front of AB right now oh just huge to go up two with two to play that putter has looked perfect as of the last since the miss back on 12 everything has been on the pole dead center that one wasn’t on the pole but it was good enough little high little right it’s a great place for a righty to hit sometimes on these buckets that’s the better spot that middle’s been angry at times this tournament it was angry angry round one or round two at Milo yeah I think round one it was mhm unfortunately Corey missing that birdie putt oh no way oops oh my did I just curse that that’s a regurgitation oh my gosh to be fair left of dead center to be unfair the result brutal the guy hasn’t hadn’t missed the C1 putt the whole tournament coming into this round misses a couple right there i think he just said bad putt i think he was saying that’s on me i think Bellis Po is actually even better than I called there i think just barely right i don’t think it was high hole 17 par4 830 ft pretty unfavorable wind today a lot of times players are going to want to go with big roller or turnover the wind condition today not really allowing either of those shots to make as much progress as usual up the fairway ton of trees to na navigate beyond on the approach we’ve seen some good success on that far right side with the backhand hiser so if you can get your drive a little bit right you maybe open up that gap when pushing onto the flight plate here on these rollers and it just causes them to flip much quicker than you’re used to seeing not really allowing the roller to get all that distance once it hits the ground going air shot oh man kicks wide left still an still an opportunity from there though yeah I think so it’s going to it’s he’s going to need everything a lot of trees to avoid at the distance he’s got left but I think you’re right yeah a lot of things have to go right from there got to get a little love canon going air inside there is OB over there fortunate all the way through and Paul you’ve been saying in all tournament the farther right you go on this hole the better the hiser angle approach opens up yeah I I like it over there they made it a little scarier with that out of bounds but he’s going to be in a fine position right there when the wind grabs it but that is really pretty well controlled about as far as I think anybody’s going to get a roller with this wind ab with a good approach here a long way to go but with a good approach can wrap things up certainly can get a little closer i mean always that intrigue with the Eagle 18th yeah I think Verie here just allows you so much freedom on the last hole to kind of chip your way up the fairway not give away very much such a big birdie back on 16 just clutch putt he’s going with a cigar that he’s been throwing so well all season loves this disc the same disc he used on the last hole oh I love the shape of this wow what a line oh man last tree solid he loves it not going to have a straightforward look at the pin but that line was immaculate just gorgeous late turn into the gap looks like it might have caught something still has maybe just about 100 maybe a little less than 100 to the pin kyle really needed to get that one all the way up to the pin canon has a low ceiling straight gap through this the brightest window here has to have it oh this is great you called it yes closer than Anthony yep and by being closer certainly puts a little pressure on AB stepping up to his It’s I’m call it near clincher putt but it it’s big putt coming up for both of these players cory on the skids as of late he needs something positive to happen here he was in position to overtake Isaac with a good finish but with the the two bogeies and all the pars that he’s had in the last five he’s now in T9 and not in position for the birdie here on 17 top 10s are always incredibly commendable even if you are a former major champion it still feels good in this day and age didn’t look like he even had the room up top to give it a bid so yeah AB to a knee here straddle as far right as he can straddle huge pot never quite high enough line not great either yeah i don’t I I wish I was there so like you could look to the left it looked like maybe leaning out to the left sure might have given him a little more space so window of opportunity now for Ganon absolute must make inside the circle down by two yes sir guy was born with the clutch gene man so much to think about on 18 and with regard to playing for Eagle setting up Birdie who’s going to be the aggressor i think having the longer drive could end up being pretty huge i just think it’s remarkable that through the entire course of the day early on Ganon two- shot lead eventually AB two shot lead all the swings all the times where they have not got the same score on a hole double bogey you know all those changes they’ve never been separated by more than two shots and now it comes down to a oneshot lead for AB going into the final hole it’s essentially played as match play the entire day and right Now Ganon gets to throw first and that puts a little bit of pressure if he gets a good T- shot off so this is just going to be awesome to watch i mean the only thing I know for sure is Kyle Klein is going for an eagle yes two back my thoughts exactly kyle’s got one move here this is so cool congrats to Ezra Ader hold for his incredible 10 under round jumping up into fifth place i played with him today very very solid round was fun to watch hole 18 par five 1,000 ft this OB line on the left is the problem that these guys are dealing with hit the gap get over the water and then get down quick preferably a little bit more left near the OB line that’s going to line you up with a chance to play that big turnover these guys have so much power i don’t think roller likely comes into play big turnover trying to attack the green in two oh pulls it gets through though pretty wide oh huge swing kind of needed all the width yeah I guess it did kind of needed every bit of the wide rightness interesting that’s in incredible position 455 to the pin that is very good position for sure pressure on AB oh does it clear barely oh goodness wow okay can’t attack the pin but a good forehand gets you get gets you right back into position for the birdie yeah anything safe up there gives you some more opportunity in the middle and he doesn’t there’s no eagle right i mean he’s not in the spot he has to just play for birdie if Ganon comes and gets you and forces a playoff that we cross that bridge when we get there but he has to now play for birdie I would think fantastic setup shot for Kyle yeah and he like you said Nick he has to go no guy on the forehand hiser that we saw back all the way back on hole four pretty big gaps pretty big gaps just has to have stability there’s the mando tree right of your screen send this out towards that spotter in the out- of-bounds area heavyheiser doesn’t really need to go that crazy far this will put all the pressure on Gain to get the eagle oh no oh no wow and kicks right oh boy i’m wondering if it’s right up against that tree so now if you’re Ganon you’re thinking Eagle wins does birdie get get you the playoff i mean which is the right play you know oh sure sure i mean is it worth it to roll the dice on Eagle uhhuh i see what you’re saying yeah there’s no birdie play for Anthony at this point you would think if you’re Ganon you have to I mean 455 there’s probably not much decision there the green is pretty big i mean I’m with you Nate though you came into this hole thinking I have to eagle to get to a playoff now you’re in a position to where you have that almost a gimme right in front of you let’s see what for the birdie for sure right but Kyle now’s back in the mix yes he is and this is good this is really good this is really good i I remember a guy last year a few years back hitting that putt right there yeah I believe his name is Adam Hamus okay so now we get a sense for this i It would certainly be forehand if he intended to play for birdie so this is this is looking for the eagle which I like hammer it home you know yeah i mean it’s a very strong shot for him put this close and it’s it’s all over and the correct mistake can even get you a birdie putt oh my gosh i I don’t remember Ganon missing a line by that much i mean fortunate that it fell straight down whoa but I mean shanks for Anthony and for Ganon shanks this hole has produced some drama i’m going back to Garrett Girthy Simon three years ago or whatever it was that OB’s right to his right he’s kind of lucky he didn’t go in there off of the tree kick oh oh boy what are these guys doing oh man holy cow kyle Klein these guys are stressing me out kyle Klein just needs to hit this 40footer nate I feel like we’re back at Oaks Amusement Park just going up and down the Zoom coaster this is wild okay how far is Ganon here Jer did you get a good I No I’m I’m closer to the pin i I was expecting them to be up there putting about four minutes before this two 250 to 275 yeah I think you’re right on somewhere in there that seems about right yeah yeah this is the tension is very I say palpable yeah like I I think you you nailed that yeah say you could cut the tension but this is just So wait so he’s like forehand with the blue maybe backhand with the blue he’s got two more in the hand i think he realizes what’s going on here he’s thinking of course he does yeah a birdie here okay then he’s gonna probably tie AB yeah but Kyle can now make the eagle putt and there could potentially be a threeplayer shift wow he’s switching here now he’s just giving us time to set the scene here guys okay oh this looks really good barely misses the tree coming around there great shot i’m honestly a little surprised nobody said anything about how much time he took a minute that took a minute so now we’re like is it a three-way playoff or a two-way playoff i mean like Kyle can get in there for sure unless AB throws this in which I’m pretty sure i don’t think that’s going to happen yeah I don’t think that’s going to happen ab just needs to slide this to the pin okay yep yeah all right true story as Kyle was walking up for his eagle putt bald eagle flies overhead getting chased by a crow and it felt like an omen it was just like “Okay this is this is pretty wild right now.” But first Cory’s got this try to get done finish with the birdie and secure that top 10 finish if Kyle Klein can hit this and force this playoff he’s got a chance to have one of the great comebacks we have ever seen on a final day just pulls it a little bit everyone wanted to see that one fall wow everyone wanted to see that fall well played on the day but so close cory up first pretty big putt lot of points on the line for him when you get into these bonus top 10s uh points are are really high in Elite Series plus you get the bonus points so good on him for great tournament yep okay ab call it 20 ft oh no misses it right what a nightmare final hole that hurts i I read it as a miss it It got a lot of chain but look at Ganon too you just you know you don’t want to see that as a competitor i mean everyone is expecting extra holes they’re expecting a a potential three-way playoff and Ganon is about to swoop from one down on the final hole two down with two to go and drop in a birdie to win this thing yeah this hole has just provided so much drama over the years i mean from Garrick Girthy having a big lead to then Goose Man and now AB falls victim it’s there’s something about this hole and you’re looking at a guy right here who swept Portland last year backto back elite series wins comes in in his only opportunity and takes a third in a row seven down on the final nine guys that’s how you do it i I mean it’s you got to be sick to your stomach but I mean if you’re Ganon it’s like you know you put yourself in position crazy things happen [Music] it just feels sicker when it’s on the 72nd [Music] hole i can always go back and know that I uh I never gave up i think it’s it’s important to realize that every stroke down the stretch matters even if you know it doesn’t feel like it at the time really felt like I was falling apart there toward the beginning part of the round but I was able to put together a solid I think seven under back nine to give myself a chance and that’s all you can do you can only do as much as you can and it’s up to your competitors to see how the the fate plays out and that’s just how it is in our game and I don’t know what to say man it’s crazy you know I think Anthony I will have a ton of battles down the road it’s just going to be how it is it feels like and I mean I enjoy playing with him every single time he’s such a great competitor and I just feel for him right now cuz we’ve all been there super close to a win leading going to the last hole and just you know doesn’t doesn’t work out for you so I mean just hats off to him he had a great performance coming down the stretch you know yesterday with that incredible 12 under par i just can’t believe it right now it’s absolutely crazy i love the nature here that is one thing i love how beautiful this state is i just got to say thank you to everybody who came out today you guys always show up even if it’s bad weather so thank you [Music] guys that’s going to do it yeah i think you know the three of us played enough tournaments maybe not having it happen at this level but we’ve all certainly kind of backdoored our way into a win kind of I think Ganon handled it with grace it’s it’s a tricky situation when you see a guy kind of get his heart ripped out right there in front of you you you’re not expecting it you know you you’re not even asking for it you’re thinking about the playoff like I did my job let’s go to the playoff let’s keep this going this is going to be a great show hats off to Kyle Klein incredible performance final round with the bogey shooting 10 down under and giving himself just the closest opportunity and uh man it was a lot of fun to watch it being on the course and calling the action was a ton of fun this week portland delivers once again i mean alls we can hope for is to see these guys doing it again up there you know in Minnesota in a few weeks that’s that’s that’s my hope is to be able to see a battle like this every single time that’s what the people want congrats to you guys and that’s what I want to see top 10 finish over
