Champion Merab Dvalishvili and challenger Sean O’Malley made weight for their UFC 316 bantamweight title rematch during Friday’s official session.
President Donald Trump will put down his gloves amid a bitter public brawl with Elon Musk to sit cageside for the UFC 316 fight tonight, June 7 in New Jersey for an epic title rematch between Merab Dvalishvili and Sean O’Malley.
“Suga” Sean O’Malley enters the octagon at Prudential Center with an 18-2 record, hoping to reclaim the UFC Bantamweight title from Dvalishvili, who earned the title at UFC 306 in September 2024.
The president is scheduled to head to his Bedminster golf club Friday afternoon, according to his official schedule, and return to the White House Sunday night.
The president has long been an MMA fan, attending several UFC matches over the years with high-profile guests including Musk, who most recently appeared with Trump at UFC 314 in Miami in April. A year ago, Trump attended UFC 302 in Newark to rousing applause days after his criminal conviction for falsifying business records. UFC 302 happened to become the highest-grossing sporting event in Prudential Center’s history, Gov. Phil Murphy said this week.
Today’s additional feature title fight will be the women’s bantamweight title as champion Julianna Peña defends her title against Kayla Harrison, a two-time Olympic gold medalist.

Trump at UFC 316: Is Trump in NJ this weekend?
The president is at his sprawling summer home at Trump National Golf Club in Bedminster today, June 7, and will attend the UFC 316, expecting to be at Prudential Center in Newark between 9:30 p.m. and 1:35 a.m., according to his official schedule.
He’ll spend Sunday, June 8 at his golf club before arriving back at the White House around 6:30 p.m.

The UFC 316 main card will consist of five main event fights and two championship bouts, headlined by Merab Dvalishvili vs. Sean O’Malley and co-headlined by Julianna Peña vs. Kayla Harrison.
