How an Open Club Face at the Top Kills Your Swing (And How to Fix It) 🤝⛳️

if your club face looks like this at the top of your swing you’re set up to slice before you even start the down swing let me show you the exact move to fix it when your lead wrist cups at the top the club face opens and stays open throughout the entire swing instead of bending that lead wrist leading to an open face you have to imagine like it’s completely flat even with your forearm by keeping the lead wrist flat at the top of your swing it’s even with your forearm meaning the club is in a much more square position a great way to feel this is to imagine you’re holding a plate of food like you’re a waiter with your trail hand your palm should be pointed towards the sky and when you bring your lead arm up your wrist should be nice and flat notice the difference between an open and square face at the top an open face is pointed pretty much straight down whereas a square one is aligned right with the shaft and your wrist do some pause repetitions at the top of your swing to really hone in on the feeling of keeping your lead wrist straight once you get used to it try to have the same feelings as you transition into your normal swing and comment grind if you want to work with me oneon-one to help dial in your swing

  1. Great tip. This is definitely my problem with my irons as my bad iron shots always slice but I never really slice my driver. It’s definitely because I’m not keeping that lead wrist consistent
