Sean O’Malley shared an image with Donald Trump, which had his father worried
UFC superstar Sean O’Malley posed for a picture with Donald Trump after a fight card in which he attended, with his father telling him to take the picture down as he had concerns.
O’Malley is back fighting for a UFC belt while being given a rematch against Merab Dvalishvili for the bantamweight title by Dana White, after losing it at UFC 306 at The Sphere, in Las Vegas.
Trump has been at numerous UFC events in recent months since becoming president, including just days after winning the election while embracing Joe Rogan – who seemingly played a role in securing his win after appearing on his podcast. White has been a vocal supporter of Trump, with the 45th and 47th president being a big mixed martial arts fan, while reportedly being set to attend UFC 316 in New Jersey this upcoming weekend after taking granddaughter Kai Trump to the last event he attended.

O’Malley will be fighting on the card this weekend as he hopes to get the belt back from Dvalishvili, potentially winning it in front of the president.
O’Malley met Trump after a UFC event once while posing for a picture with him, before posting it to social media – something his father was not so sure about.
After seeing the picture of the two, O’Malley said his dad wanted him to delete the picture.
Trump is rumored to be appearing at UFC 316 this weekend
He told Patrick Bet David: “Me and Trump. You know what we did after that show, baby! My dad called me. He was like, ‘That was sweet you met Trump. You should probably take that down.’
“I’m like, ‘Why?’ He’s like, ‘What if Democrats get a hold of that?’ I was like, ‘Holy—-, you are almost 60…’ I’m like, ‘You watch too much of ——- news.”
O’Malley went on to add that he is a Trump fan and that he’d happily pose for another picture with him, while concentrating on the tough task ahead of him in the current champion.
Dvalishvili comes into the fight as the favorite after he successfully defending his belt against Umar Nurmagomedov – the cousin of Khabib Nurmagomedov – who had come into the fight with an undefeated record.
Trump has been at two UFC events since becoming president
Elsewhere on the card in New Jersey, former PFL champion and two-time Olympic gold judo winner Kayla Harrison will look to secure her first UFC title where she’ll face Julianna Pena.
In another bout UFC fans will be looking forward, Patchy Mix will make his debut after leaving the PFL. Mix had arguably been the best MMA fighter on the planet outside of the UFC, with the New York fighter to come up against Mario Bautista in his first fight with the organization.
Trump is yet to confirm whether he will be in attendance, with the news initially coming from the Full Send podcast, where he has made appearances on in the past.
