You’ve been chasing perfect swing methods for years… but what if I told you they were never meant for you?

In this video, I break down the truth the golf industry doesn’t want you to know: swing methods don’t work for everyone. Why? Because your swing is written in your DNA — from your limb length to muscle type, coordination to flexibility, everything about you shapes the way you should move the club.

We’ll expose common models like:
Stack & Tilt
Square-to-Square
1 Plane & 2 Plane
Rotational and more…
…and show why these swing methods fall apart when applied to the wrong body.

👉 Watch until the end to understand:

Why pro swings don’t all look alike (and never will)
How your own biomechanics determine what works
What swing style fits your DNA — and how to find it

thank you so much for these great people on the screen here They are supporting our channel to bring you more education like this If you are interested in joining the crew come on down The link is in the description below You’ve tried the tips You’ve copied the pros You’ve probably even changed your swing more ways than you can count But it still doesn’t feel right Well the truth is your swing is written in your DNA And today I’m going to prove it For decades golfers have been sold the dream of the perfect swing from stack and tilt to square to square to who knows what is out there I’m sure even Kim Jong- Il has a swing method It seems like all these new swing models pop up every few years promising more distance more consistency a shortcut an easy way out But here’s the problem Not even tour pros swing the same way If there really were one secret or one method that worked for everybody then we’d see the best players in the world they would all swing the same but they don’t What we actually see at the elite level are swings that are wildly different They’re built over decades of hard work and self-awareness These are athletes who their swing has merged with their equipment Just like a great ballet dance the body and the tool they have evolved together They each mold into the other until they become one functional unit That’s not a method That’s mastery So let’s break it down just a little bit further Your golf swing is shaped by your body’s natural design And here are a few traits that drastically change how your swing evolves Your torso to leg ratio your arm length relative to your spine your hip and spine mobility fast twitch or slow twitch muscle dominance past injuries your eye dominance and also which hand dominates the other That’s another video These things affect everything from how you rotate to how you load the trail side how you shallow even how you release You could spend years grinding a back swing that your body just physically cannot do Or you can find a pattern that your DNA naturally supports Are you still not convinced Let’s look at some pros Let’s look at Jordan Speed who has a bold lead wrist and an early release Look at Tony Fenel who has a super short back swing Lexi Thompson uses massive ground force and verticals and yet they still win If there was one perfect swing why do we see the best players break the rules and still dominate Because their swing matches their body’s physical makeup And this is why I created the Swing DNA self assessment The video will be in the link down below if you want to go and check it out It’ll help you go through a quick 23 questions to determine what your body style is and what method you should try to do because don’t just fall for what the method states You have to understand if it’s good for your body limitations or not And once you understand that the guesswork is over You don’t need to be more flexible stronger or younger You just need a swing that fits you And the industry doesn’t want you to know that because they can’t sell you one sizefits you instruction If your swing never felt right it’s not your fault It just wasn’t yours Find your DNA build your swing around it and let the rest chase secrets that were never meant for them I want you to tell me what method you use currently and then I want you to put down in the comments what method you want me to analyze next I’ve done a few already but we really need to try and analyze more of these methods or even these swing gurus that say they have your secret But to cap it all off I was cruising around Instagram earlier and I found this and we’re going to look at a couple of things I’m going to crop it out and just show you some of the claims that was made on this Let me know your comments on what we are going to watch right now This could be the golf swing hack of the century It’s a key capable of solving any swing The good news is it’s so simple everyone can do it The bad news is because it’s so simple I need to explain why it’s game-changing Can we agree the only thing that controls where the ball goes is the club face at impact Next the only connection we have to the club is with our hands Lastly and most obvious our brain controls our hands Okay what’s the point of all this Well if we can find some key that connects all three things as one you’ll be able to control the ball And with that now you’re ready for me to blow your mind Because here is that key There’s nothing more strongly connected to your brain’s location settings than the tip of your index finger Darts basketball football baseball even just pointing All of them use the index finger as the focal point for control Step one relax the tip of your trail hand index finger off the club It should just be dead weight This finger now points in the same direction as the club face Step two place the club on the first pad of your middle finger This is your pressure point and the thumb rests gently on top to maintain this pressure Step three slightly lift the thumb off the club on the back swing and reconnect on the down swing or remove it through impact The feeling will be like your hand pulls away as the club is thrown It’s right here where everything changes You’ll be able to put the club anywhere and know exactly where the club face is pointing You’ll gain effortless club head speed just like three of the smoothest most powerful swings in golf who all dabbled with lifting their fingers But the real beauty stay with me I’m almost done is when you curl and squeeze your index finger it pulls your knuckle straightening your wrist Without that squeeze the weight of the club falls on the wrist For anyone not familiar that right there creates all those fancy words like shallow lag and release The index finger is the key that unlocks your brain’s location settings to the club head [Music]

  1. As a 59 year old male who is left handed and right footed (I play right handed golf) and who picked up golf during the Corona pandemic, my swing journey has not been without bumps. I tried a number of things, including taking lessons, but I have yet to “discover” my DNA swing. Right now I am incorporating some of Harry Frankenberg aka Count Yogis principles from his book in my swing. This has led to the most significant improvement of my handicap since I started playing a few years ago. So I guess I will stick with that for the time being. My challenge is getting enough distance out of my driver and woods. I still need to break 90 but I am slowly getting there. The biggest barrier to that I think is my course management and short game within 100 yards.

  2. Oh No ive used the index finger thumb off drill for years! even taught it to my new golfer GF But i nicked it out of the Hogan Book page 31 written at least 60 yrs ago! ,best tip in book maybe thats why got down to 5 hcp in my 60s!

  3. Most golfers start as strong adults and this is their Priority of Learning
1 Dont miss whiff top chunk the ball and embarrass yourself result choppy steep swing
2 Hit it straight! dont lose the ball/embarrass yourself result steery/release early no speed
3 Hit if further whilst trying to hit it straight and not miss the ball
Great golfers learnt as weak kids and this is their Priority of Learning
1 take a big swipe dont care if i miss lose a ball laugh and have another yahoo swing

  4. I’m on the swing the bloody arms and let the body naturally follow method and it’s working if slowly 😄

  5. Everything i try works initially, s an t, no hands, all hands, holding angles, early release, short swing, long swing, strong grip, weak gripi always seem able to implement any change almost immediately, then it seems to wear off. I tried s and t for a long time and was crushing it, but i had a couple of rounds where i could barely make contact, 😂. I'm mid single digits so can usually work something out to get me around even mid round. Long way of saying any changes usually work great initially and then wear out and i go back to target focus no swing thoughts stay loose kind of swing.

  6. It was Moe Normans friend Paul Bertholy that named the “Magic Move” and the “Verticle Drop” . They both believed that the swing is like a fly wheel with all the energy retained till the last moment. Two very eccentric individuals and would love to hear your thoughts on the Bertholy Method

  7. Creating an awareness of CLUBFACE, lowpoint, swing plane, swing path are essential to become skilled. There are multiple matchups and ways to move the body to influence these club variables. One size will never fit all. If the instructor isn’t helping you to understand how your body needs to move in order to control these club variables, you will continue to chase the rabbit holes and swing tips🤦🏽‍♂

  8. Total truth spoken here, you can change your lag angle by looking at the ball more with the left eye or right eye

  9. Like your thoughts on Craig Hanson (World Class Golf) "the move" or any of his content that catches your eye. Also, can't thank you enough as I've removed the forward press in my swing. Ball striking (consistent) really improved.

  10. I just started gripping the club in a square face position, slightly after impact. My thought was if the club ended up in that position it's because of my body composition and I could swing more naturally and not force it. Stopped focusing so hard on setup. Just worried about solid impact. Game has got a lot better in all phases.

  11. The only truth is 99 percent on amateurs stand to close to the golf ball. See: Kirk Junge and Todd Graves. All other tips will NOT work if you stand close to ball. That's right, NO golf tips will work if you crowd the ball.

  12. All these swing methods are products the pro paid instructors use to make money. It all boils down to knowing who you are and what works for you. You just don’t know how to find those answers or even where to look, so you just keep going down all the rabbit holes and results are always the same. After 65 years of searching myself, I know me and where to look. Have a wonderful journey!!!

  13. I hit some very good shots if I "feel" my right hand pushing the club with the pads right below the fingers, loosening the grip. The end product being similar to what the guy says in the clip. Also, it feels more comfortable with the index finger more in a "trigger" position, more detached from the rest of the hand (could be it's because of what I was taught as a kid). Also, I'm a lefty that playing as a righty. Right now I'm struggling a bit with my grip. I was advised to weaken the left hand, which solves my hook, really. But I also tend to slice, so yeah…

  14. I would be very interested in your break down of Cameron Champ's swing. It just looks super efficient to me.

  15. Appropriate Ron Jeremy usage and finding "your" move can not be over emphasized. Nobody else even talks about it. FYI, can't seem to figure out how to change my cc number to pay my membership.

  16. I have used a similar drill to give my lead left hand arm more prominence on the downswing for release – reducing too much right hand. I think you said it at least once from memory – it may not work for everyone. If there was a miracle swing fix, I suppose you would have used it and be singing about it to us all…..

  17. As for the last tip, all swings are integrated all body and brain motions and I just don't buy into the right index finger thing , in fact having done a lot of left arm only swinging I think a learner could do a lot worse than do a lot of left arm only swinging to develop the motion and there is no right hand or right index finger in it.

  18. Here's a contentious view: If we are just strictly speaking about driver, woods, hybrids, and full iron swings–not chipping, pitching, and putting–then by far, the perfect swing belongs to Moe Norman.

  19. Anthony will you ever do a video where you get 20 subscribers to send in their swing and then Squid Game style you slowly but surely determine which one is the best one?

  20. The one thing that has helped me if I'm going to crap on the course is doing the L to L. Mike Malaska talks about it a lot(and other YT instructors) but apparently its been around a long time, it seems to get me into a good base line and starts to help me loosen my arms and shoulders.
Perfect example, I hit a shite tee shot, was about 180 out, pulled out my 6 and said just do L to L, then I hit one of my best shots of the day even the playing partners were amazed.
I'm not saying this works for everyone but maybe everyone needs that "how to get to 0" move or thought. It may not go the farthest but at least you know the shot will be consistent.

  21. All you need is the latest driver and irons. Since each year they gain 7 yards distance, your 20 year old driver will now go 140 yards longer!!!

  22. The last technique where you pull the forefinger and thumb off of the grip is similar to a double overlap grip it weakens the right hand’s influence somewhat. It can help with an early release.

  23. Pre-internet days there used to be an abundance of golf magazines. On every cover was the statement "add 20 yards to your drive with this secret move." Each month was another 20 yards. I should be hitting it about 1200 yards by now.

  24. Tony, timely video! I literally just had a fitting a week and a half ago. I returned to golf last fall after a 15-16 year layoff, and my clubs are about 18 yrs old. IMO, S300 shafts were now too stiff for me as I'll turn 66 in a few weeks. (They were probably too stiff when i was 48, too, but ego ..) I told the fitter i was taking lessons, which is why i waited until now to get new clubs. He said at my age, and having started playing in my 20s in the 1980s, my swing tendencies and compensations are more than likely already built into my DNA, so i should just adapt my game to my swing patterns and focus on my short game to improve. Basically, spend the next 10, 20, whatever years enjoying golf with MY swing instead of spending time & $$ reinventing the wheel. LOL! More forgiving clubs in a Reg shaft on order!

  25. Ron J…. 18 holes and still time for golf…… Lol sorry. I've never seen that grip theory before. But since watching your videos there's clearly cause and that's the effect with what's happening with the right hand. I'd like to see you analyse John Jacobs if you could, thanks.

  26. I use the “me, self taught, trial and error method’. Still working on the catch phrase to market my snake oil fix. Great content. Appreciate the no-nonsense approach teaching and analysis.

  27. The French Golf Coach
"The Effortless Swing You Were Born With"
    is one to look at.

My lead wrist is hurting so now I am currently playing with nearly zero grip pressure and arm tension for a spell. TFCG appears to be swinging like Count Yogi and says he admires him.

Maybe this is what Paul Wilson was trying to teach with his version of effortless?

I accidently flew my 20yo 9i 150 last night with zero tension and timing the ground impulse perfectly. I did not accidently hit any 300y drives… but it was decent… except a heal hit that twisted, hurt, and only went about 180.

Effortless / giving up control to gain control is NOT my DNA, but if it works nearly as well and doesn't hurt… 🤔🤔🤔

  28. Really enjoying your channel. I like the way you analyze some of the Golf structures that I’ve been watching. I’m really into a guy name Stewart who is a golf instructor on YouTube called,Good Golf Coaching. He has a nontraditional way of teaching. I would really value your opinion on his technique.
