Kai Trump has bounced back from her recent struggles at the Junior Invitational at Sage Valley, showcasing an impressive performance in her latest golf tournament.

Kai, the eldest grandchild of President Donald Trump and an avid golfer, participated in the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour Major Championship and delivered a strong performance. The young golfer, who has previously earned accolades from Rory McIlroy, finished the event in second place, just one shot behind the champion, Bretton Mackiewicz.

This marked a significant improvement for Trump, who had previously placed last among 24 female golfers at the Sage Valley event in March, which also included Charlie Woods, son of the 15-time major winner Tiger Woods. Trump, whose views on women in sports just resurfaced, was the subject of an awkward error and then sparked a ‘great headache’ for the Secret Service before having a meltdown with a disastrous performance.

In her most recent tournament, Trump posted an overall score of 154, after rounds of 74 and 80 at Village Golf Course, securing her a spot on the podium. Following the event, the 18-year-old took to Instagram to share her accomplishment and express her determination to continue improving.

“Not the result I wanted but happy with the progress I am making! Let’s get back to work,” she shared with her 1.7 million followers on her Instagram story. Trump frequently showcases her golfing skills on her YouTube channel, which currently has over 1.15 million subscribers.

Back in March, the young star uploaded a video featuring McIlroy, as they played together ahead of the Genesis Open in a charity event at Torrey Pines. After one of Trump’s shots caught the attention of the world No.2, McIlroy complimented: “Good shot, Kai.

“You’re too good for this YouTube golf,” and the teenager cleverly retorted: “Honestly, I think that’s what it is. I’m just too good.”
