194 Hughes. Yeah. And really no visual flying stick, but [Applause] hello McKenzie Hughes. I think going forward, yeah, he’s one of the guys because he has plenty of length and from one end of the spectrum to the other, as you mentioned, Zach Blair, he’s a surgical kind of player. And there’s a beauty. Oh, Mike Weer. How about it? Nicely done. This is Taylor now. just off the fairway only 375. So just a little flip in here from 88. Oh, see that’s the advantage of coming out of that first cut of rough. Was able to control the spin. Oh my. I’d like to hear some of those stories. Here comes Remy at the fifth. He’s going along nicely. Couple under. Then I think too many people hit the flag and bounced out. [Music] something that’s open for business today. Well, putting him from 100 yards. That’ll push him to two under the young amateur Ashton McCullik. That’s got to get a friendly bounce. Just a little more. There you go. Look at this. You talk about maxing out gravity. What a shot. Obviously. Thanks. I love it. Really good. Justin Lowour on the T at 11. Looking for a birdie. Almost got two of them. Exactly. Learn. It’s a little slower than they see. I think he’s got a good opportunity. Keep coming. Keep coming. Keep coming. There we go. There you go. [Applause] Rain gear is off. Looks like another nice start line. trying to play that slope as well that we saw before by Doug Gim. And that’s getting better and better. Apparently that is the play. I think they they do actually know that. That’s part of the intrigue of of the hole. Roger Sloan on the tea at four playing 158. Oh yeah, another Texas golfer. He had a tough first nine holes, but a nice shot here at four. Play the first. Taylor Pendr just answered them. Norlander, nice to know you. That’s a birdie. Couple under, just one. Oh, you’re you’re a proper hockey player. Dustin Lowour looking to throw a dart. Come on back. Oh, here you go. Come on. You had action there, Ned. We’re closing in on it. There’s going to be an ace. Dylan Woo. Coming off a horrendous stretch. Yeah. Of three shots dropped in two holes. Needed a little something something. Is he trying to play it off the bank? It sure looks that way. It’s going to be good. That’s going to be real good. He’s yelling, “Go in.” Now, who hit the better shot? How cool is that? Missed the award ceremony. Now, Rory, that sounded a little better. Smooth swing right at the flag and going to have a great look for Eagle there. Oh, there you go. Now Taylor going right back up the hill. Slow putt. And Miles crating at the 11th. Is it deep enough to catch that spot? Oh yeah. Oh yeah. Is right. Yeah. Yeah. Beauty from the 29year-old. And to the 11th, Matthew Anderson now directly at it. Two gorgeous shots. Yeah, this uh par five, relatively speaking, one of the shorter par fours. This sorry, par four rather at 482. Homer from downtown DC. You must capture the two par fives and just kind of just on 13, you know, just oh my goodness. And maybe if you make a few of those, everything’s going to be okay. But super strong grip, but he knows how to work it. Three under par. Hasn’t dropped a shot yet. This is one of the better shots we’ve seen at number two with that hole location. able to control the goal on the third hole. Ayama right of the fourth. We saw Gordon Sergeant down here earlier. Took Sergeant four to get down. It took Kirk Kittyama just one. One. This is right at it. This could be really good. Threw an eight at it. A triple bogey. Third hole. 130 for Alex Smallley. Dialed in, Billy. He certainly is. I think it’s the slow the slowness of the greens. They’ll get quicker. [Applause] Mackenzie Hughes. He’s trying to drive it in a little bit lower right there. Club twirl. Okay. Chance to go. Eagle birdie. A wet rink right now. This is Patrick Rogers. Short par three. Oh yeah. Oh yeah. Man, it is scaring that cup. Yeah, someone’s got to do it. Currently 149th on the FedEx Cup points with big happenings for Jackson Sug. How about this one? How about this one from Pender? I mean, when that thing took off, I mean, that came out. Let’s go, Ye. Oh, yeah. He’s got it in the spot. If he lands at the right distance, he’ll get the ricochet. That a boy tracking cow closer. Yeehaw. Wow. Pick it up with Olison’s second to the par4 sixth. Third easiest hole today. You stand on this tee, you’re thinking birdie. [Applause] Anderson again just getting better and better landing softer and [Applause] softer. Been a good tussle for Max Hom today. He’s hung in there and he reaps the reward. At number four, we say hello to Paul Peterson. This has the right shape to it. Oh. Oh man. Torbjorn Olison rolling along here in the first round. Couple of holes to play. This is going to be the one. I think this suits his not eye. Everything slopes a little right to left. He’s going to bring it in a little right to left. Pitch this at least pin high. Watch this. [Applause] Very nice. Master’s champion Danny Willlet. Great shot. Yeah, fantastic shot. Kind of looked like he had on some referee socks. Black and white stripes. Oh, he’s begging. Jackson Sub’s begging. Oh, it hit the flag. Begging works. But they put the back left hole location up on the high side. This scoring average will definitely get higher. Oh wow, Danelo nearly dunks it. Anywhere near that bunker now. Oberg from 190. This is an even better shot. This is right at it. Wow. Over to 14. Noah Goodwin on the T. Plus one on the day. That was the best shot we’ve seen yet. Starting on the back nine, showing some good form of late. Look at that. And although it’s into the wind, the wind is only it’s under 5 miles an hour. So, how good is that? Oh, there you go. That’s the way to go. Orlando was very kind to join us here. Here’s Peterson just trying to salvage one to stay on top of the leaderboard. Yeah. when you’re own your own. And Peterson is right now. Brance Netker at the ring hole. I like the sound of that iron going off. It should be perfect. He landed that exactly where you’ve been saying he should be landing. All these players should be landing that ball like clockwork. Cory Connors [Applause] Oh. Oh. And acceptance. Those are two great qualities to have in this game. Movement from his toes to his heels and a little bit of pace to it. [Applause] and Fox. Boy, he’s strong. I mean, he is such a strong player. Your alma mater, Kizner. Pretty shot there. Matthew Javier the amter slams it home. Kevin U. That was a big old fillet he sent flying. Promising. Promising at the 11th. John Pac who had a good run at Colonial a couple of weeks back. This is going to be good. This is going to be really good. Ned, Ned, pay attention. That’s hard to believe. Mallerie has a cup. It’s called the cleric jug. [Applause] went to the University of Tennessee. He’s a volunteer. Billy, [Music] [Applause] you want to put it into the clubhouse, then I’ll be all for it. And this guy is your best friend. Oh yeah, he absolutely is. Did you get it? I did. Okay, good. The defending champion Robert McIntyre in the fairway at the eighth moments ago hitting his second shot up the hill. McIntyre off to a terrific start in his title defense. Knocks it in close. Has another chance at birdie. Braramlet one under on his round. He tried qualifying for the US Open at Woodmont Country Club in Rockville, Maryland this past Monday. Rest. May he rest in peace. Yes. And this the brother It starts actually left of the flag cutting back. A unique shot there. Oh, it’s a beauty. Rocking on Saturday. And I love this too. 120 yards this week. We’re going to see some guys scare the hole. There’s no question about that. Was over there yesterday. Christian Demarco qualifier getting in. You recognize the name as the son of Chris. Oh, come on now. We’re going to have one. It’s going to happen. We’re going to have one. Solar at the seven. Certainly not. That’s kind of the same shot that we saw Taylor Pend hit earlier. Oh, Chris the ball del. Nice swing. impressed. Good result, too. Really impressed. Unfortunately, lost that playoff to Ryan Fox, Myrtle Beach a few weeks ago. These guys are just taking dead end. Ball came just to rest on the top of that crest. It’s going to come down slightly down. He’ll turn to the right. Taking a hard turn. How about that? and buries it at the bottom of the cup. [Applause] [Music] At the 11th, Mr. 57 himself. Crystal ball del Solar at 6 under par to get within one of the lead. Delar at seven under. Adam Hadwin middle of the 15th. Fairway. It’s 119 yds after a perfect drive. Flights it down. Taking on that pit. Nice shot. Moving along very nicely. add another one to his total. Jake is now at 6 under par after backto-back [Music] birdies. You still think it’s going to happen, Grant? This week? It’s got to. It’s got to. Yeah. [Applause] Oh, look out. Oh, thanks. Putter will have to do the heavy lifting on 17 for Lowry. It does. That deep shot, that second, that third part. Just got to take a little off a pitching wedge. Okay, first part done. Right at it. Come on back. There we go. He made me before. What a shot. That is phenomenal. Rob Picmpos back one hole. He’s also at three under par. Such a hard hole location to get at today on that right side. And not the story for Compos who stiffs it. Kind of mushy, soft, rainy conditions this morning and these guys in the afternoon got the best of it. But we’ll see what happens tomorrow morning.

  1. PGA Tour has the worst highlight reels, nothing in chronological order, no follow up put to eagle shots, no leaderboard update. Very sloppy and lazy editing.

  2. Will the this channel ever produce a decent highlights real. Hate to be so negative but no order to any of the shots shown and some players at the top not even getting a look in.

  3. I approciate the effort to show some great golf shots. But without context and chronology these evoke no feelings. These are PGA Pros, i expect there to be some more than decent shots during the day. But you have to let us know what is at stake, some progression through the leaderboard and voiceover. Sure, put in a separate segment of ”shots of the day” if you want to include some bangers, but if the guy hitting a hole in one is T119 you wont get a ”oh my goodness”-reaction.

  4. Dear PGA,

Please listen to all the comments under every single one of your highlights. Find someone that can edit who understands narrative and the stories of the day. Your highlights are almost always incoherent jumbles of random shots with zero context. No setup, no leaderboard. Why not move through the course chronologically. I feel like I’m watching range day, not a golf match. It’s embarrassing and it happens every video.
