Beautiful day here in downtown Baltimore. Game two between the Orioles and the Chicago White Sox. And the Orioles going to see if they could win a series against the Chicago White Socks. And Dean Kramer, last time that he saw the White Socks, he turned in six innings of one-run baseball. That was back in 2023. Tacman is at the top of the order. Kramer deals and it swoops in for a called strike three. Leadoff batter pushed aside by the right-hander Dean Kramer. Miguel Vargas bats in the two-hole here today. And a cutter misses. Ball four to Miguel Vargas. And Andrew Benitendi will bat. Andrew Benendi. A deep shot to center field. It is Matteo right in front of the warning track. Will make the grab for out number two. The batter is Luis Robert Jr. Robert pops this up. O’Harn makes the grab. Yeah, there’s a good look at Davis Bart. He was really good in this last one. Six innings against the Rangers on Sunday at right field. And Jackson Holiday leading things off for the Orioles. Driven well out to right field. It’s a leadoff homer for Jackson Holiday. Dad, mad brother Ethan here to see it. Little doubt in that one. Good extension, great contact, had that sound and then it had the drive. Be one of those, no doubt about it, home runs. One- nothing O’s. Rutman batting average is at 207, but he’s always enjoyed facing the White Socks out to first base. Vargas retreats and now he’ll underhand his pitcher for the first out. Here’s Gunnar Henderson looking low. Broken bat up the middle is Vinnie Capra. He makes the play to get Henderson. Ryan O’Harn having the best year of his career. and he hits a one hop bouncer to Sosit second. He’ll flip to first and the inning is over. That is one trip through the order for Dean Kramer. He’s just allowed the one hit. Here’s Mike Tacman. There’s a swing and a base hit. Line drive into center. A jam shot. Slow roller to second base. Holiday has one play. He’s up with it onto first base. That’s two outs. Benendi chops this one to second base. Holiday has it on a big bounce onto first. side retired and Chicago after a one out single leaves Tman in scoring position. Top of the fourth, Luis Robert Jr. starting things off and Kramer sends him down on three pitches. Good morning, good afternoon and good night to Luis Robert. Here’s Palasios. Palasios ends his 0 for9 skid with a single into right field. Here’s Lenin Sosa Kramer with a high fast. Blows it right by Sosa and he’s down on strikes for Dean. That’s his fifth strikeout. Here’s Rojos who had the first hit for Chicago. Curve ball and that one is served into left center field. So Rojos another job in a 200 count. He’s got two singles here today. And the White Sox who lately have been getting a lot of base runners haven’t been good at getting them home. Ground ball hit to second base on one bounce. Holiday has it on to first side retired. So Dean strands two more. Last of the fourth. Henderson, O’Harn, and Aras. Good pitch by Martin. Gets the punch out. Yeah, that’s that kick change up we talked about. That is driven well by Ryan O’Harn off the ground. Keeper shed. Kaufman comes over to get it, but Ryan O’Harn can stride into second base. And that for Ryan O’Harn is now 17 straight games while reaching base. And he is hit safely in 10 in a Davis Martin going to work against Aras. Good pitch. Davis Martin. Two punch outs here in the fourth. Runner at second. Two outs. Kobe Mayo. And that is a line drive in the left. O’Harn getting the send around. Palasios’s throw home is cut off. Mayo is hung up. They have Mayo caught in a rund down between first and second. And now he trips and falls down. Well, he went into the infield. He’s tagged out and he’s sitting down, I think, looking for obstruction, but he’s not going to get a call. No, he and we got guys getting together here. And now Mayo shoved somebody and the benches are going to clear. And now the bullpen’s empty and they all have to come out of the same door, which is kind of fun. Well, I don’t understand the no call because it was obvious that Mayo went out of his way, veered into Sosa who had already thrown the ball and got out of the way. He made sure to clear a path. Romeo went veering into him and then fell down. Kobe Mayo can’t be upset now. He has given the Orioles a two nothing lead as we head to the fifth. To talk the leadoff man on the ground up the middle and that one just makes its way into center field. So Mike Tauman, he will go to second. Safe. Heads up base running. Terrific. Right out of the box there, you see with that swing right there. I tell you what, he’s been swinging the bat really well. Vargas at the plate. High in the air to right field. It is Kirstad underneath. Tagging from second. Mike Tolman will get to third with two outs. Andrew Benendi coming into the game the last two games four for eight. Benitendi sticks out the bat and he will drive in the first run of the game for the Socks. Tauman scores from third. An RBI single for Andrew Benendi makes it two to1 Orioles on top here in the fifth. Haying it in. Sinker at the knee. Strike three. But they do get their first run and it’s now 2-1 Orioles. Dylan Carlson steps in. 1-1. Line the other way. Sinking near the line down for a base hit. Maybe more. Carlson cuts the bag at first. He’s digging for second and he’s going to make it. Palasio’s had to track down that ball towards the left field corner and it is easy. A two bagger for Dylan Carlson. And he’ll go to Jorge Matteo who drew a rare walk in the third and then stole a base. He was stranded in that inning. Matteo into center field. Robert Wind pushes it over. Well, he does he I guess it’s a home run. A tworun homer is the win playing tricks on the White Sox. Jorge Mattail the beneficiary and it is a 4-1 Orioles lead. It looked like Robert had a beat on it and then it kept traveling over. It’s the first homer of the year for Matteo. So Kramer in line for a win. He’ll give the ball away to Yir Canó, the big right-hander who’s been pitching much better as of late. To start making some things happen here with the bats trailing by three late. Vinnie Capra gives this one a ride to left field. Long run for Carlson and it’s going to land in fair territory. It goes all the way back to the wall. Capra takes the hard turn and will stop. There it is. They lead off double here in the seventh. Vinnie Capra. Way to go. And the lineup turns over for Mike Tauman. And Tauman a three hit game here. They’re going to wave in Vinnie Capra. The throw from right is late. And the White Socks get a run here in the seventh inning and trail by two. RBI single for Tauman. Now the new pitcher, Sir Anthony Dominguez, and he is going to pick up a runner aboard after Austin Slater earned a four pitch walk. It’ll bring up Josh Rojos. The O2 pitch swing and a miss. Got him with a splitter. He pulled the right time to use it here and fans Rojos two away. And it’ll bring up Carol and out of the zone. Ball four. Slater walked to lead off and now Edgar Carro and Chase Myroth who had the day off will grab a bat and he will pinch hit for Vinnie Capra. Round ball out to third will take the force out at third base and so Dominguez gets out of it. White Socks don’t convert. Well, backto back outings we saw Antavilla for the first time last night pitched a scoreless inning with a couple of strikeouts. Matteo takes outside. Well, there’s ball four. Matteo on again. Here’s Jackson Holiday. One, two, swinging a miss. Good pitch by Alta Villa. You have to respect the fast ball. And oh, this a terrific pitch. Rutman, the two-time Allstar. Ball four. Rutman, a four pitch walk. And so that is two different four pitch walks for Alt Villa in this inning. And now here’s Gunnar Henderson. Look at the sinker. Can’t seem to pop it up in the shallow left. And Slater with the grab for route number two. O’Harn one for three. Doubled and scored in the fourth inning. Attacks the first pitch down the left field line. Long run for Slater. And he makes the sliding play. Austin Slater keeps the Socks in the game. What a catch. And you hear the entrance music for the mountain. Felix Bautista who after throwing a season high 29 pitches yesterday is going to come on and try and convert saves in backto-back days. He gets Mike Tman to lead off this night. Re-1 out of the zone. Ball four to talk. Miguel Vargas represents the tying run at the plate with nobody out here in this ninth inning. He held on. Rutman, he held on to that split. A tough one to hold, but there’s a strike out for Baltista. Now here’s Ben and Tendi. He doubled off Baltista in the ninth yesterday. Pitch to Benendi out of the zone. Ball four. Second walk this inning. All right, so it’s Luis Robert at the plate. White Sox are threatening. Big leads at first and second. One, two, and he got him. Al Baltista needs just one more. A great pitch. White Socks have used everybody on their bench and the Orioles fans coming to their feet. Strike three called. Ball game over. The Orioles win it over the White Socks four-2. Orioles have won the first two against Chicago in this

  1. How do you go out of your way to collide with somebody and then you shove them as you're getting up? That's some clown stuff.

  2. God baseball fans with their decorum like any team wouldn’t take an opportunity to run into one of our players

  3. Best possible scenario for the O's… Luis Robert, Jr. at the plate with men on base.

The guy has never figured out hitting in the clutch.

  4. So louis robert just doesnt try anymore i see. I mean if you’re trying to get traded to a better team(which he should be) that pathetic AB with the bases loaded isn’t going to do you any favors.

  5. @ 4:24. Those guys looked like they didn’t want to get involved.

Anyway, I like those orange uniforms Baltimore was wearing. The black is a nice touch.
