Here is a simple trick for helping you to align yourself on the tee

This can also be good for helping to prevent a shank or coming over the top of it but you do need to keep in mind that there is every chance that you might hit the marker
.
Of course you aren’t allowed to move the tee marker when your in a tournament but if they are aligned up properly as they should be anyway then you can use it to give yourself a line for the hole
.
By setting your ball up close to it you can swing along the line of the marker and it should start your ball straight
.
Also getting it close to the ball should force you to either hit closer to the toe and stop you coming over the top if that is something that you tend to do as you will hit the marker if you do cut across it.

There is still chance that you will hit the marker so if you are known for coming over the top then I would give yourself more room to work with as you could damage your club or tee marker
