What a golf course this is! | Parknasilla Golf Club, Co. Kerry, Ireland

hello welcome to mj golf guides my name is martin jurr and welcome back to park nacilla golf club in county kerry ireland [Music] so you might be wondering why i’m wearing different clothes in part two than i was in part one well if you saw part one and you saw the end of part one you’ll see that we got absolutely torrential rain we had to leave the course we couldn’t continue the game we were back today a few days later the sun is shining the course looks beautiful so let’s get out there and see what we can do right hold four is a power four 292 meters index 15 and we have this ahead of us you can i’m i’m presuming that’s the green up in the hill there uh that’s what i’m going to be aiming at anyway again we have this deep a little bit of a valley and i’m imagining sticking to the left side is probably the best option and let it let it fall down to the right yeah bonded straight down the middle of the fairway that’s just at the base of the hill below the green okay so i left left myself on the right side of the fairway here um you’re better off in the left because then you have a view to the flag where i am at the moment you can’t actually see the flag so of a blind shot over this hump um it’s about 85 yards to the flag so it’s uh yeah i’m not not going to be able to see this down hopefully i can just land it on the green and she stays there uh not sure how that turned out came out a little bit low but it was a i’m hoping there was a little bit of spin on it so we’ll see when we get up there okay so this is where i ended up just in the back of the green actually directly in line with the flag so happy with that but look at this again for another beautiful green i mean you got these little bumps around it you got danger over the back it’s beautiful trees rhododendrons the old wall it’s an absolutely gorgeous green complex we got this view out to the sea as well this course has really really impressed me and i’ve only played four holes it’s absolutely spectacular setting now i’ve already put pin is in a very tricky position about like two yards on off the edge of the green there oh man left that well short left that well short in the soy door take apart that hole hole five par four see index one 336 meters and if we go up onto the t um i have no idea where this is going at all i can see a marker pool out over here uh so yeah i guess just hit it out there somewhere i’ve actually gone on to google maps and try to have a look at the hole um it seems to be going around to the left not the right no there’s bushes there’s danger straight ahead so i’m actually just going to take a trailer note and hopefully hit the fairway and not be in any trouble um i’ve absolutely no idea where this hole is going so let’s see if playing smart pays off yeah i can see that bouncing away down there so i think that’s okay hopefully okay so i’m here i’m on the left-hand side of the fairway which is i luckily i escaped this big valley here you can just see the marker pole up there that i was referring to off the tee so if i hit my tree along the line of that marker pole it would have kicked down into this area so that’s pretty good you can take driver and go aggressive at it but you are running the risk of going into all these trees or being stuck in this little valley this is a great little hole what a tough little hole it’s really really good so i got about 116 60 yards into the green and again a blind shot to the flag so let’s see how it goes hey balance wasn’t great there but i think i think that’s a good line towards the green maybe a little bit short but we’ll see when we get down there okay so you can just see where i pitched here on the fringe of the green so that was the club and that was the line um oh little birds birds are picking at the worms again another beautiful green another beautiful hole okay let’s try and get this up to the up to the hole i just took a few bubbles on um a little i wouldn’t call them twigs but you know small the small catkins off the air off the trees that slowed it down quite a bit but not a bad putt let’s be a good hole to power okay per good par there hole number six par four 346 meters index tree let’s see what we have up at the t-box so this is the view from the t-box we have there’s a road just in front of the t-box here so you have to be careful teeing off and i believe the hole goes around to the left-hand side there so just going to check the yardage to those rhododendrons out here and see if i can hit driver so i’ve lasered to the rhododendrons and it’s 250 yards so i’m just going to hit a tree wood and see if one of the banks helps it into the fairway kata really well should be down there somewhere okay so this is where i ended up right inside of the fairway uh 140 yards of the green it’s kicked off this bank here in the middle of the fairway so i’m just trying to go and get an easy 7 in there just get over that ditch there’s a little ditch in front of the green as well uh just a little bit to the right hand side of the green kind of on the fringe it’s not too bad it’s where he ended up just on the right hand side mortise pin high um so this is actually falling it’s like the hole is inside a little bowl in the middle there it’s going to try and chip in a little seven iron just get it rolling down towards the hole now stop yeah that’s not too bad you see how much it fell away off this bank here when you got the pace right just the uh it fell a lot more than i gave it credit for and that’s a power and that finishes part two of parkinsella golf club i hope you enjoyed that part i did those were three absolutely fantastic holes i love them they were a great challenge the place in great condition and those three holes were as good a test as i’ve played in any course join me again for part three i played the seventh eighth and the ninth holes [Music] you
