DULUTH, Minn. — Enger Golf Course has partnered with First Tee Minnesota to start some summer programming.
First Tee Minnesota is a non-profit youth development organization.
The goal is to teach life skills and develop self-confidence through golf.
These sessions are for kids ages six through seventeen and broken into age groups.
This program is beginner friendly; clubs and equipment will also be provided if needed.
“it’s our mission is to develop more players into the game at a younger age and so but also doing it in a way that makes it extremely fun for them and we have the system here. We have the driving range; we have the practice facility. We have 27 holes available. And we just, you know, need a very good instruction base for these kids to learn the game and be exposed to it, and if, if they like it, to continue on, because it’ll provide them lifelong experiences and we’re looking forward to getting more kids into the game.” said Craig Smith, General Manager for Enger Park.
Classes are on Mondays and Wednesdays starting June 9th.
Times are determined by age group.
Both partial and full financial aid is available for families in need.
