#golfshoes #footjoy #sizing

We always talk about sizing, are you wearing the right size? Do you go up half a size? Down half a size but once you are in the right size, we don’t talk enough about the style of lace and how it impacts the fit of the shoes. Well in this video we are!

FootJoy Golf shoes and other brands laces come in the form of V-throat, U-throat and Blucher. Depending on your foot type, one will fit better than others, there optimising fit, comfort and performance. If you are wearing the wrong lace type, you could be leaving stability on the table and you could even become more susceptible to blisters and the shoes actually degrading quicker over time.

I hope this video is helpful and provides you with some additional information and guidance when it comes to you buying your next pair of golf shoes.

Thanks for watching.

  1. Oh Sam. You had me all the way, right to the point where you didn't say where/how to get a FJ fitting….. I think those are like VIP invitation FJ/Titleist even days, no?

  2. Hi there I was wondering if you’ve looked into the belts that some pro players wear that seem to have ‘exotic’ prints on them. Most recent I remember is John Rahm in the 2025 pga championship.

  3. I own both and the field (wider system) fits great. The other one (Packard I believe) looks great but fits not well. I can't get it tight enough (like you say in the video). I have a high instep. Where does one get a Footjoy fitting?

  4. Have you had any problem with the shoe tongue sliding? I have had several pairs of the V-shape and the tongues invariably slide on me. I just cannot wear them any longer.
