I can’t wait to see Jonathon Long hitting bombs in another jersey while the pitcher we trade him for has a ring on his finger.
Cubs may be tied for top in the NL, but the Tigers are an absolute juggernaut in the AL.
WS or bust . Cubs need an Ace starter * Paul Skenes ** or equivalent. They are 1 arm away from.
All in but I think we need to sign Tucker and PCA to extensions.
I'd rather have Roethlisberger than Rodgers.

Not making the playoffs would be a bust.
Hey kap, I don’t think it is World Series or bust for this Chicago Cubs team. They haven’t really invested much into this team and until ownership does that, I don’t see why as a fan base we should have expectations for them to make it that far. They are playing Very well right now about a third of the way through the season, but I don’t think we have enough at this stage in the game in relief and starting pitching to make it there and get the job done. I would be happy, with how this team is currently constructed, for them to win a playoff series. (hopefully that being a divisional series) This would show me that they are taking step in the right direction and I would be proud of that for this year and hopefully that could be something that could be built off of in the coming years with subsequent moves investing in this core. #TAKETHAT
Worried about Cubs bullpen holding up. When they play good teams with good pitching they are exposed. Let’s see what happens when they play the Mets, Phillies, and Tigers. The hitting on the team is great but a good team with pitching can shut them down.
Anyone claiming to be a true Cubs fan that says World Series or bust this early in the season either hasn't been a Cubs fan for very long or isn't one at all. Fifteen games over going into June is absolutely wonderful, but those of us that have been around the block a few times with this organization … personally, I've been living and dying with the Cubs for over 5 decades … know full well that June swoon isn't just a nursery rhyme. We are sitting pretty right now, and that's without our top two pitchers. But let's not get ahead of ourselves. It's nice to want to think about trying to want to think about trying to be optimistic … but I'd rather you didn't right now. Right now we take it one game at a time and we tread very lightly on the getting cocky garbage. On behalf of every single Cubs fan over the age of 40, and Ron Santo, I thank you. Go Cubs.
They need better pitching then I can take them serious as World Series contenders
I need to see another month of this type of performance before deciding if they can be World Series contenders. Cubs usually get cold around June. If they stay hot in June then I would say they could be contenders. Also it’s important they have the best record in the NL at the end of the season to get the best seeding.
Cubs have ran into a-lot of luck. They're still missing their top-2 starters. Brown has been hit & miss. Rea is starting to look mortal. Tallion is a crapshoot. And the bullpen still doesn't have a lights-out setup man and/or closer. They also still need an additional legit bat to slide around to compensate for the youth of Shaw and age of Turner. Busch & Turner have cooled way off…
The Division? We'll see. The Pennant? They need big reinforcements. Even if it's Caissie & Ballesteros. Something!
What do I say? I say give us the World Series trophy now. That way, I won't have to listen to more Kap Cubby Kool-Aid induced cheerleading for the next 5 months.

I wouldn’t say World Series or bust. I still think they need at least 1 star pitcher and possibly another solid starting pitcher. I feel they need more depth and also another reliever. I’m sure getting Shota back will help, but I still would add more starting pitching and another reliever.
They won't get past the dodgers or mets so maybe next year.
Actually we want the cubs to not make the playoffs so they can get rid of hoyer.
Make the playoffs and win a series, if we are still in first in a month and 1/2 than I might be at World Series or Bust. Its a long season, being first June 2 is like winning the NFL offseason, its nice but it doesn't mean much.
I have to see what they do at the trade deadline. They need a lot more pitching.

Think that it is still too early. They are a very good team, but I feel like just like most other teams, another piece at the deadline could boost this team to WS level. Very fun team to watch.
