  1. There goes Saquon Barkley’s career. (I’m teasing. A bit. It does seem like there’s a “Madden Curse.” It happens alot. I wonder if anyone’s ever done a statistical analysis to see if there’s any merit to it.)

  2. Jordan Love has shown flashes of brilliance. He can throw a football; there’s not much doubt there. But usually a QB isn’t even near a “finished product” until Year 3 and they’re still improving after that. Jayden Daniels and CJ Stroud came out gangbusters but they’re anomalies. I suspect that Cam Ward might have some ups and downs but he might be the most dangerous passer in the league Game 1. I’m REALLY looking forward to seeing what Cam can do. (I just watched an “expert” in a video who said that Cam “doesn’t have a great arm.” I guffawed at that, I laughed, and then I turned it off. Um, I don’t have a ball speed number on Cam — I looked but couldn’t find one probably since he skipped the combine — but Cam had one throw in college into the end zone that must’ve been smoked at around 62+ MPH. It looked like a John Elway Heat-seeking missile. But Cam is one to watch. I also like Jaxson Dart but he may need some time to develop.)
