[Music] What’s up? Welcome back to the back nine of the Northwest Disc Golf Championships practice round here at Glendeir East in front of a live studio audience. A new series that really is bringing the practice rounds to another level. It’s so much fun. Still getting in good practice, still learning the course, but doing it in front of a lot of friendly locals. And we get to hang out afterwards, too. If you want to be a part of these, just check out the jopro.compractice and our next one’s going to be at the preserve in a couple weeks. Simon is our practice round guest. Him and I are partners in the doubles match where we are currently getting thrashed at even par to five under. To be fair, you guys were giving the live audience something to root for with some fun shots and everything and that’s what they that’s what they’re here for. So that’s all that guy right there, man. Uh, so we have got nine more holes to go before we determine a champion. And $500 is going to charity. As always, this guy is going to be throwing this disc right here, the Cicada. Turn over through that left gap. You can go straight by the mando right there that’s making you go left with a hiser that gets through there and fades left. You can also go roller. So, all kinds of different options. Um, right here. You can’t see. There’s a little bunker here which makes the roller a little more difficult. You have to kind of carry it about 260 ft I think. Landed in the roller. And that’s what I’m going to try. We just got to miss those two trees on cut. Give us a little eig bid. [Applause] Oh. Oh, yeah. That’ll work. It’s gonna be in the sand. Yeah, you just got to get back into the the roller swing of things. I’ve had a couple 80 footers at this. Yeah, for sure. I’ve had some amazing ones, too, where you just basically the hole is solved. Yeah. Well, then you you’re sitting there at 80 and you can’t even run it because there’s that big old The easiest three ever feels so good. Yeah. And I even messed it up. I’m like 80 ft. And so I like laid it up way short. I’m like 25 ft like windy. Like what are you doing? What did I just do? Are you guys familiar with this mandatory tree here? Um I’ve never seen that before. I don’t think it comes into play for me. What I could I hit this and then I But I think you’re right. I don’t think I remember seeing that. I don’t remember ever there being a mandatory. There I am. You’d like to get to a spot in the open, get at least 400 to 450 off the tea to where you can kind of see down the hill and really send one. Although, I think there’s new OB on the right side. I don’t remember that being there before. So, I think you’re going to have to play a little bit more control on that second shot. It used to just kind of be full send, go anywhere except left. Now, you’re going to have to be a little bit more careful. Hopefully we see a highlight three this week or maybe today though. This headwind could be some trouble. I’ll try to get us a a three. Cool. This hole is just so much further than it seems. Yeah, it’s really far. You need a really big drive to be anywhere that feels like you’re assured a four. I feel like you have to drive it so far before you start feeling safe. Yeah. Yeah. This isn’t that good. I don’t know. I could go another forehand. Get maybe halfway down the hill. You shouldn’t get eagles with just hiseriser, but you should if you can hit some shots and some angles. Our longest throwers should for sure have eagle looks. I like the roller here where you try to miss the mando left side and then rolled right into circle one. I think forehand is a good play. Nice to keep it nice and low. And if someone can park this on a backhand line drive, that would be the most impressive way to do it. Roller is a bit of a cheat code, but here we go. I’m going to try it. He’s like, what? I remember throwing a forehand up the middle on this one when like fighter jets were flying over and I couldn’t hear anything and just like one foot like just up the middle like the best shot. Flip up destroyer right through the middle. Yeah, I didn’t have that. I feel like today I feel so disconnected from having the confidence that I can just get there no problem for him. Like I don’t know why I don’t quite have the confidence I can do it no problem. But I feel like if I get any kind of flip, we’re in business. It’s just if I hit with those fat trees. It also helps if you don’t throw it straight into the ground. Yes. You get it a little bit of height. Yes. I think I can still get the the speed and spin to get there. Oh, of course you can. It’s just weird not playing for so long. Of course you can. Just taking a toll on the confidence. I think you could argue that I missed the mand that you touched that line for a little moment. Yeah, but it would be kind of a dick move to make that argument. Yeah. What is this? Well, if the tree is the line, then you for sure touch the tree. But the line is painted. Yeah, but once you get on that, it’s the tree. Yeah, but it’s the paint more than the tree, right? If you you have to It’s the plane of the paint you have to cross. It’s a tree. Yeah, I think it What does that mean? That means it’s the tree. It’s not the line. It’s the whole tree. I had this argument at the Champions Cup. Wow. I don’t know. No, I’m serious.
