Golfer Bryson DeChambeau was filmed practicing on the White House lawn before he defends his U.S. Open title later this month.

In now-viral video shared Monday by Trump communications adviser Margo Martin, DeChambeau hit an apparent wedge shot just a few feet short of the hole.

The two-time major champ, who’s ranked 10th in the world, was “throwing darts on the South Lawn of the White House,” Martin wrote.

Clapping is heard, but it’s unclear if it was coming from President Donald Trump, who appeared Sunday with DeChambeau at Trump National Golf Club in D.C.

While DeChambeau showed off his short game at 1600 Pennsylvania Ave., he’s better known for his drives. He boasts multiple efforts of 400 yards or more off the tee.

Trump mused over the athlete’s big hits at Trump National Golf Club.

“I always consider myself a reasonably long hitter and then I play with him,” Trump said in a video. “My wife says, ‘Are you as long as Bryson?’ I say, ‘Yeah sorta, pretty close.’ It’s not close.”

Trump also complimented DeChambeau’s length on the night he won he 2024 election.

The president showed off his own skills in a YouTube round with DeChambeau last summer, but he’s reportedly been less than honest in his approach to the game overall.

“He cheats like a mafia accountant,” and victories on his own courses are as “fake as Velveeta cheese,” “Commander in Cheat” author Rick Reilly said of the golf-obsessed president.
