Just last weekend Rickie Fowler revealed his game was trending in the right direction.
“Body is starting to feel better, and the game, I feel like it’s been in a good spot and not very far off,” he said before finishing inside the top 20. “It’s a fine line out here. Nice to see things starting to come together a bit.”

Fowler kept the momentum rolling this weekend at Muirfield Village as the world’s best flocked to Jack Nicklaus’ Ohio course for the Memorial Tournament. The six-time PGA Tour winner needed to get up and down on his 72nd hole of the weekend to secure the final qualifying spot for in the Open Championship.
After a bogey on No. 17, Fowler missed the green on No. 18, but hit his chip shot to two feet and converted the par putt to earn a spot in the year’s final major. “This week still could have been a lot better, but definite positive is going over to Portrush. That’s one I’ve wanted on the schedule. I had a great time when we were there the last (time) and had a decent showing as well,” Fowler, who was playing on a sponsor’s exemption, said.
The star golfer was joined by his wife, Allison Stokke Fowler, who doesn’t make many public appearances as she stays out of the spotlight. She and the couple’s two children were waiting for Fowler after his round to congratulate him on making the Open Championship field.
“Portrush in July…see you at @theopen,” Fowler said in the caption.
