Oh, how you feeling, brother? Nervous. Nerves are high, scores low. I haven’t seen him play yet. I don’t want to give him too many shots. No, I’m I’m not good. So, and put nerves in with that, too. So, like I haven’t felt this nervous in so long. Like even before a footy game. 104 m if that means anything to you. That’s a driver for me, mate. Beauty. A scary part three to start, boys. There’s enough time, right? If I start now. He He said he wants to turn pro. So, I’m just teaching him a couple things. Oh my. What would you do here? Ah, if this was me, I’d just put it back on me stance, mate. Keep it nice and low. I definitely can’t get it over. I’m sure you could get that wand out, mate, and just make it do magical things like you have before. This is This is what I’ve come to see. Shake his wand and he just does something crazy. Oh, too long. Long. So, you get nervous getting these clubs out. Oh my god. [ __ ] I haven’t taken the advice that the greens are going to be faster. I thought that was going to go in. One down. One down. That’s all right. Look, I’ve actually only come just to watch. So, I’m just grateful that I get to get to have a game. Yeah, you got to hold that. You made that look so nice. I liked it. You get nervous before your tournaments or still or Yeah. Yeah. That was a good part, too, mate. Just didn’t go in. So, tell us a little bit about you obviously becoming a professional golfer, the leadup, you know, when you started, all that sort of stuff. Yeah. Well, uh, I started when I was probably 3 or four years old. My old boy’s mad golfer. Uh, so just followed him around. But I think growing up, I played a lot of different sports. Played cricket, played rugby league, tennis, all all that stuff. And, uh, I think it just got to a point in time where it was like, you got to choose one, it’s costing us too much money. So, um, and then I just love golf. Always love golf. There’s something about, I think, just being out here and taking it all in that I love. And then um just love being competitive. My dad was always better than me and that was kind of it to trying to beat him. Yeah. Yeah. Being a Broncos fan. Um you love them for a long time. What sort of drove you to, you know, obviously following the Broncos and um who would be your favorite alltime Bronco? Um I think I think just growing up in Brisbane, I think you don’t really get a choice. You have to be a Bronco supporter. So yeah, I’ve I’ve always loved it. Come from a rugby league family. We we’ve uh always got around on Friday nights and watched the boys and um we always made an effort to hang out as a family. So that that always uh kind of made me love uh rugby league. Um I don’t know. Favorite Bronco of all time is kind of hard because there’s so many good ones, but I would probably have to say it’s pretty hard to go past Locky for me. Yeah, he was he was pretty good. Yeah. And favorite moment? favorite moment as a golfer and of the Broncos. Oh jeez. Put him on the spot. Jeez, haven’t been too many good moments of recent. Love that. Um it’s coming, mate. It’s coming. Uh as a golfer, I think it’s pretty hard to go past the open. Uh that that one would be very hard to beat. Uh winning that, especially at St. Andrews, was was pretty cool. as a Broncos supporter. I mean, like I said, there hasn’t been too many there hasn’t been too many good moments over the past little bit, but I think as a as a Queensland supporter, there’s been so many good moments for us. Um, yeah, so many uh so many cool times over the past, you know, 15 years where been a very proud Queenslander. So, it’s it’s uh I would say that [Music] You know, I’m just grateful for that like he’s actually human. You know what I mean? To be out here. Yeah. Oh, yeah. That’s not what we want. Go get past it. Yeah, I love fishing. Yeah, I fish a lot. Yeah, Matt. Yeah, good fishing out in um where you living over in the States. You got crocodiles there? Alligators. Alligators. But they they’re not in they’re fresh water, so they’re not in the ocean or in the creeks or anything, you know. Oh, where’d that go? That’s perfect. I didn’t see it. Yeah. No, that’s A1. The most nervous I’ve ever been by a lot was me trying to win my first tour event. Um, which was in New Orleans actually. And I was just [ __ ] myself the whole time. And then probably at the same time, like doing that after I did win, I was like, “Wow.” Like I felt pretty pretty good. But yeah, I’ve never been that nervous again. I think trying to get the first one done is pretty The relief when you Yeah. Yeah. Relief was like, “Oh, I had I slept for like 3 days.” He slept or he didn’t sleep for three days. Mine would probably be definitely Origin debut catching clearly kicked it up at my first catch and run and that would I was nervous but once I caught it was it was in Adelaide. Yeah, Adelaide Oval. Yeah. And I remember catching it and just seeing a wall of blue and I was thinking I was just just card it back. I was ready to die. And I I picked I picked I was like, “Who who can I run at?” And I just seen pain and I just ran straight. I closed my eyes. I was ready to get whacked. But but I was, like I said, I was ready to to die. So I’m glad I got back up after it. Most likely. Oh, I got it. No one. No one. I’ll give him his flowers, but but probably won’t make it. Best looking player. Best looking player. Oh, my cousin my my little cousin’s got a um hots for um [Music] Oh yeah. Yeah, Jordan Ricky. Yeah. Is that who you were going to say? This is this is like being in Australia for me is um like someone will give you like a a prop and then they’ll just immediately just tell you something else. So I’m hitting balls at rule Queensland yesterday and uh bloke goes, “Oh, you’re looking pretty fit, Smithy.” And I’m like, “Oh, thanks, mate. I’ve been working out a little bit, been running a little bit.” And he goes, “Yeah, last time I saw you looked like you had too many pies. Yeah, I was like, “Oh, cheers for that.” [Music] A Oh. Oh, I should have puted it. Jesus. It’s not good. It’s not good, boys. Gee whiz. Gee whiz. I thought you had me there, too. Yeah, mate. Look, that was Yeah, there we go.
