  1. Lead tape works wonders. I've used it for decades to increase swing weight (I prefer D-6) and alter directional characteristics on drivers and other woods.

  2. You just altered the weight to where it wasn’t supposed to be. The weight of the club is to be matched to the shaft

  3. Those of you think it’s bullshit, have no idea because you haven’t tried it. I am a +1 and ALL of my irons, including lob wedge have lead tape! You need to weigh each club and get the desired weight. I went from D2 to D5. Straight, straight, straight!!!! I got to hang out with Bernard Langer one day, and all of his irons are packed with it also. If you go too heavy, you’ll know it. You just gotta find the right weight for yourself.
