GOUVERNEUR – The Volunteer Transportation Center Foundation will celebrate a milestone this summer as it hosts the 10th Annual St. Lawrence County Golf Tournament.

The event is set for Friday, July 11, at Emerald Greens Golf Course, located at 1485 U.S. Route 11 in Gouverneur. The tournament will begin with a shotgun start at 9 a.m.

“We’re excited to celebrate 10 years of hosting this tournament, which is always a great time with our friends at Emerald Greens,” said Jeremiah S. Papineau, the nonprofit’s Director of Communications and Foundation Director. “John Cunningham and his team always do a fantastic job. We’re looking forward to being back, and we know those who’ve played in this tournament are, too.”

The tournament will follow a captain and crew format. Registration is $360 per team and includes a cart, dinner, and a tournament shirt. Skins, super skins, and mulligans will be available for purchase at registration. Raffles and a 50-50 drawing will also be part of the day’s activities. Only the first 36 teams to register will be accepted.

The event will be held rain or shine, with no refunds or rain date offered.

This year’s tournament is underwritten by Excellus BlueCross Blue Shield, Watertown Savings Bank, Stewart’s Shops, and Advanced Business Systems. Eagle Level sponsors include the Kinney Drugs Foundation and OneDigital. Sponsorships and prize donations are still being accepted.
