welcome back to perfectly average golf and welcome to Dallas as we play Texas Star Golf Club of course that’s very friendly and open to the public sitting just underneath 7 000 yards with a whopping rating of 74.1 we’re trying to tip it out to see how low we can go with our final round in Texas I hold one here Texas Star part 4 4 25 dead straight away little Rolling Hills from left to right so we’re gonna try to use that if we can [Music] perfect that’s it just missed it just a little long all right hole number two 382 Par Four little dog leg to the right the line is actually going to be over these trees you’re about to see on the camera with three we’ve got a lot of helping win no need to get too risky with driver so let’s get that hook out of the play early and let’s get something nice and straight let’s go [Music] [Music] let’s get a green all right a little right well speed’s gonna be everything here we just missed this so far right it was actually really good distance great Club choice but we got a long way to go here it’s got to get it somewhere close I think it’s gonna eventually push left right to left so we’re gonna kind of go almost a little bit right of the flag I think keep going okay speed was fine just didn’t go right the left these greens are running real fast we kind of rushed to get out here so we didn’t get a great warm-up didn’t get a lot of putts but they’re running pretty fast especially downhill so we’ll take that [Music] bro mind blown that was pretty straight it’s not an easy two putt we’ll take three putt there for bogey again casual figure it out I’ve got a part three here for the third about 141 a little crosswind left to right we’re gonna use a picture wedge not gonna Tee It Up we’re gonna try that out I think for some of these part threes today especially the short ones so let’s see oh my God that’s so short yeah stayed light on it needed to hit a full I caught too much clubs it’s not a bad option though the only place I couldn’t be right there is short so may as well hoist it up gives ourselves at least a pod not a great one but it’s a bud come on let’s get it locked in a little slow start but we’re fine cuts are getting getting close getting them a chance maybe a little more accurate off the t-box would be great a couple of okay drives some decent approaches it’s got to get things online we’re real close but I think we may have gotten a little Fringe boosted because it rolled past and got a pretty pot oh a little slow start but picking up we’re doing good a little talk to the camera going see how you guys are feeling today in this golf course I will say for um you know public golf courses in Texas I’ve got a cousin-in-law that really highly recommended this when we played at Texas Rangers he was like yeah we’re gonna play somewhere on Monday looking for a nice casual round with some challenges but a lot of fun check out Texas Star 65 tee time range balls included all those things are great all right we got ourselves a look here let’s see if we can hold one get one back get this round on track to keep that consistent approach we’ve had so far let’s go oh I did not see that breaking that much and being that long got off the bogey train all right first part I’ve got a blind tee shot here we have some help and win as well kind of pushing from right to left we’re just gonna kind of go up there’s a long little antenna telephone post something like that we’re gonna go that way so the hole we’ll actually kind of maybe push right to lunch it’s based on what I’m looking at here so driver needs to go straight come on big Par Four [Music] yeah I think damn good all right we pushed that over three bills 302 in the drive we got about 158 remaining we’re gonna go with nine iron a little helping win hands down the hill if we get it there it should kind of push towards the hill if we stay on the right side so here we go what he sits off it’s a little short I don’t know hard to see oh I forgot that the record button but that went in it was like six inches so we’re on parpar picking it up feeling it in getting these parts put together see if we can get one under really put together a little toxic just kidding you guys are awesome okay 380 yard Par Four don’t look into the right bunker out in the Fairway is going to be kind of the targeting line we want to go right of that and I’m going to play a little short because driver would only leave us like 30 40 yards I don’t really like that yardage so we’re gonna go seven wood try to play on the right corner of the bunker let’s go [Music] all right we’ll see all right we got that same 130 shot 135 actually with helping win pushing left to right flag is tucked front right side we’re going to hit the same 50 degree and uh everything rolls away from the pin so gotta hit a good one here [Music] like it yeah yeah feeling really good this 50 degree today keep that up keep that in the hands as much as possible you know what I mean go come back that way yeah I guess it does slip up great wow pushed it that’s not very good part five hold number seven first one of the day actually we got a little gallblade to the left we have trees kind of guarding this Tee Box though so I can hit a draw um but we should be good there’s a little red steak that’s kind of out in this middle of the brush I imagine that’s what they want you to aim for so that’s what we’re gonna go I should have had some power to get thrill as a kick I have power and it came both it came out straight we’ll see it’s a tough tee shot this tree back here and it must have just kind of skirted in towards the roof just off the Fairway a little bit we’ve got a long way to go so we’re playing this as a three shot par five helping win we got four iron and where their carts are right now we’re gonna try to go just a little bit right of that I’m not even worried about the tree surely we don’t hit it twice in a row [Music] foreign [Music] over the top by the cart pass and bounce live we take that all right we’re going to deploy this one at the par because we do not have a look at this pin I would love to have ran something up through these trees with this bunkers guarding so we’re just going to point it down to the left and then pitch back on so back no I’m gonna try to get it on the front 50 during try to get it on the front hopefully it’s kind of a risky play but too okay about it oh we got an angle one of these ones actually hit that pretty well all right well about 125 is still the same 50 if you’re gonna open up the face a little bit you always sit up there middle of the green I think all right greedy play we ended up kind of sitting long it wasn’t the right Club I should have hit 54 degree with the distance but now we’re playing for say Sometimes good sometimes lucky we got a big one 205. part three obviously pins on the right side trying to hit a little little baby fade maybe hopefully with four iron just gotta try to keep this thing just in the middle of the face because sometimes we hit this thing like 160 other times we hit a 215 so gotta find out okay yeah actually yeah yeah literally you can then you see it you can got a really far back box here for hole number nine and there’s a 40-yard Creek or 40 foot Creek is what the guy the Pro Shop said kind of up in the middle of the Fairway so driver’s actually not going to be the play here I think we’re gonna have three wood uh it’s gonna leave us really very very deep iron in like a six iron to this Par Four so it’s challenging but I just think it’s this is the smarter plate and the one’s kind of coming across so Three Wood nice and easy playing hard be fine I’m gonna be two over through nine what the hell [Applause] oh no that’s what we meant to do the first time wow would have been nice if we had that in the first shot but jayla’s called perfectly I’m just called for a reason I haven’t dead cold pop to drive like that in months golf is a humbling game it’s all right we’re heading for we’re still putting together a great nine so even if we end up making like double here or something maybe four over through nine that’d be sick roll again popped it it’s gonna be so good yeah oh my God not this time oh my God oh my God that had legitimately another two yards to play with just gotta get it up there pin is way back so no need to be bashful too much yeah a little Nipper stay up oh almost we’ve got driver out there’s a dog with the left but the whole hole kind of runs down to the left so we’ve got driver out trying to play just over the top right side of this bunk you’re about to see cool foreign playing down and with the wind it’s actually more like 205 playing down with the Wind and we’re gonna have six iron this is kind of an experiment if we’re short we’re short it’s fine we’re chipping up the hill but if this carries the wind we should be able to get there at a pretty nice shot so let’s see [Music] yeah oh it’s a false that eagle short touch his life it was a split Fairway situation here 306 yard haul so we’re gonna go driver and maybe try to go for we have a little bit of helping win so we’re gonna go right up towards the flag avoid this Fair win the weapon if we do hook it left we’ve got a fairway so that’s good foreign [Music] [Music] Par Four a little small dog with the right there are bunkers that are kind of guarding the right side of this Fairway the line is going to be kind of over the middle ones if we’re too far left we will be in trouble just because it’s only about 240 250 to get to where the car path is so driver’s the call trying to get over the kind of these trees that you’re going to see on camera here and hopefully we um can just find no way to keep things going here cars would be great oh sick I’ll be on a car path kind of a weird swing should be findable there’s a big Ridge over there so it worse if you’d hit it and kind of kicked right back down onto the car path should be fine it’s gonna be a long way in though all right we got a course knowledge situation you have no idea where I’m going as we’re in play it’s gonna go to the left with kind of the green tree with five iron about 195 out hopefully it’s the right club right line remember I wanted it no idea I hit that really well though [Music] wow [Applause] nope how does that not come down even with the grain just one wiggle one wiggle got a shorter Par Four here about 375 maybe a little bit more than that here from this back box not 100 sure but there are two bunkers one that’s close one a little further out we need to split those bunkers in the landing space and then everything goes left all in all we’re gonna take three wood over the top of the first bunker hopefully with a little draw but if it goes straight we should be fine as well so that’s the line that’s the idea let’s convert almost made par in the hardest hole in the course we’re feeling still pretty Saucy even though we got a bogey let’s go [Applause] all right [Applause] hopefully that’s really good draw off the bunkers if we wanted we’ll see I think we may pick just right around here and it ended up in this tall stuff or this uh this autoplay OB Hazard area so we’re taking an unplayable lie gonna get back on the line across we’ve got nine iron for 150 shots gotta curve it around these trees big old hood [Applause] I couldn’t hear what Andrew just said but we hit that exactly how we wanted to it might be a little short I didn’t really put a full swing on that because of the LIE we hooked it pretty nice and I think it was the right Club let’s walk up see if we can find it heading forward when we get up there not bad went well [Applause] oh that would have been a huge save considering the poor shots of course isn’t giving us anything easy at the moment 245 yard par three got seven wood out you can be long we don’t want to be short so everything falls off the frost front so again we’re just coming a bunt a seven one up there with the helping win I see the swing [Applause] ah okay this is a shot it’s cabbage gotta get this ball up here nice and soft oh gosh this could not commit to get into that ball that’s tough up and down from there oh all right I actually am going to not know what my relation to par is because I missed like three holes in a row on my phone and I didn’t plug them and I don’t remember what I had um but I want to say that we’re sitting somewhere close to nine maybe 10 over but from here on out we’re just gonna try to play for par and of course the production package will let you know what I shot uh it’s gonna be a little bit unfortunate because when we do our wrap up I’m not gonna have the ability to know what I shot so we got 15 par 4 dog lane to the left into the wind um Fairway is kind of cut by a lake and a creek that kind of runs around side it you’re gonna see it here in the flyover we’re gonna take driver just over where the creek kind of meets the lake see if we can just catch Fairway give us about 90 yards or so in let’s go all right let me get the iron and lay up well hit that hard but that was greedy taking 600 as we played up all right we’re on go in okay all right two triples and a double and I think we’re somewhere around 11 over so now uh we could definitely still bring some stuff back around 16 got three to play part three 165 playing down to 155 a little into the win got nine iron we’re again not gonna play with the T here just trying something different oh shoot thank you ah it’s a little short cut it thin good line though oh no I bladed it oh no pull down not a bad effort just too much oh curve I freaking knew it wasn’t gonna be up or there’s gonna be too far up yikes double double two triples two doubles man we’re playing some really solid golf outside of the couple of penalties that we’ve had we’ve definitely had under 80 today but I think we’re around 13 over so we’re gonna try to go birdie part here to finish but we have a 455 yard Par Four no one plays 470 but the t-box is up a little bit here so driver needed straight need it solid hopefully we get a part here birdie in the last let’s go oh how am I doing this over correction so I gotta go right over these trees 2 30. I’m just gonna get a five iron out see if we can get something underneath this tree yeah I try to get up we’re just trying to play par anyway so that’s actually really well that’s so good from there kid me good to me no way I flew that into the wind what [Laughter] [Applause] damn it ah if I’m not mistaken that’s three doubles in a row and those are mostly off of just bad shots tough scenes but I’m fun this course is fun too the back nine really doesn’t feel all that more difficult than the front it’s just a couple of mistakes a couple of bad decisions and a couple of bad shots which leads to things like Bogies and doubles one more par five 550 ish or so um that straight away there’s this Little River on the left we gotta stay away from let’s go let’s hit one more good drive shall we let’s have some fun foreign [Music] okay I had to put a little puncher here Keep It Low trying to keep it in front of the water as well a little chipper [Music] good deal contact but it’s gonna work oh go it was heavy heavy oh my God got some roll oh curler all right so not the best round overall from your boy but a ton of fun at Texas Star definitely a course that would love to give a shot again if I’m ever in the area and I highly recommend that you guys go out there and give it a go as well tips are a little challenging just mostly off of some of the tighter Fairways that we’ve got out there but I think from all the other boxes that I was watching my friends play from it’s a very approachable course and the layout is super unique and interesting especially for the Dallas area so not the greatest round with a couple of triples and a couple of doubles strung together but we’re gonna be back out in the South Carolina and North Carolina area before we move to Charlotte so definitely subscribe right now if you’re looking forward to some of that and we’ll hopefully catch you guys right back next time on perfectly average golf bye-bye all right
