Welcome back to Episode 7 of the $10 to $1000 Disc Golf Challenge! In this episode, I head out to The Woods at Trinity for a full practice round before tomorrow’s 2-round C-Tier hosted by ‎⁨@ArmoryDiscGolf⁩ 

This wooded layout is tight, technical, and punishing if you’re off by even a little bit — perfect to test my game before tournament day.

I break down each hole, talk through my strategy, and focus on my game plan to turn entry fees into cold hard profit. This is one of the most wooded courses I’ll play during the challenge, so it’s the perfect place to dial in my accuracy, putts, and scramble game.

What’s up, guys? We are out here at Trinity Falls. I’m going to be playing a practice round at this gorgeous course. I got a two- rounder event from Armory Disc Golf this weekend. Check it out. The iconic island or peninsula hole three is not even going to be in play. Start off on hole two. Look at this gorgeous pound disc golf bag. I have a full review of this coming out probably this week. Stay tuned for that. This thing is gorgeous. We’re going to be starting off here on hole two from the longs. We’re skipping hole one and three because they want to shorten it to 18. We’re going to combine I think 13 and 14. This is where we’re starting. It’s a par4 really tight. Got to move it to the right and then left if you want to go for the eagle which we are going to try to do. I want to play two shots in this one to show you the layup play going for just the birdie and then also be doing the absolutely go for with a flippy star destroyer when they are done with this hole. I guess I can throw my layup shot first. Sex and Firebird. Had this one for four years now. Kind of in and out of the bag. It’s gotten a little flippy. You see that drift over, but if it gets a little skip, that’s such an easy up shot with the forehand. Next, we’re going for the actual eagle attempt. This is a flippy star destroyer. Really nothing special about this one. Okay. Now, be a destroyer. Okay, it was a destroyer. It was extremely flippy. So, a little bit of work left. I’m going to use the tempo and just put on a little bit of Annie and it’s going to work itself back to get this first birdie. Just do that tempo. Let’s go with the Berg. This would be an eagle thrown if I could nail this one. I don’t know if it’s long enough. N just in front. But luckily I hit these trees and drop down. Normally if you go for the eagle that doesn’t happen. So unless there is a crazy headwind or something, I’m going for it this weekend. Either one. Started off one under. I’m going to go with this Avery Jenkins Dark Maul 2. Actually, somebody asked me in one of the previous videos, am I Avery Jenkins son? No, just Luke. Just a guy loving disc golf. I’m going to throw this PD. Got to work itself to the left here. You don’t want to hit that tree, though. I’m going to go back to this section. I’m just going to try to get a placement shot up there because hitting this tree, you’ve got basically nothing. Hit another tree. Okay, we are not in a good spot. I’m going to take one of this that I haven’t shown yet. Got the floor claw zone. I got to push through this tunnel and make it to that pin there. That should leave me with a putt to save par. You just got to avoid trees. First putt of the day. Let’s save our par here. Probably 20footer right side, but it caught it though. I’ve never seen a fourclaw zone or really many Zones have pink in it. So, when I saw this one up on eBay for like 200 something bucks, of course, I picked it up. Mosquitoes are bad. This one is super fun. If you hit the gap, I’m going to go with my flat top Firebird and just rip this hopefully down the tunnel trees. Come on. Well, that was a bummer. Hit this tree. Otherwise, we would have been parked. There are so many mosquitoes out here. See if I can split the trees and make this front of the basket. Hey, look, it’s Bigfoot. Also, I got this gnarly puck I took last night. Stopped the the shot, though. I got another game in two hours, by the way. So, I got to get quickly through this round. This one’s tough. Got to get something to flip and go straight. So, I’m going to go I usually go Halo Wraith. Yeah, we’re going to use the flame scorch. See if we can hiser flip it through the gap and then get it to finish left because we’re going all the way back to that back pin. Okay, it’s flipped to straight and we caught the uh tree like maybe just like 6 in lower. It might look weird that I’m going to go with a forehand cuz we’re further on this side, but I hate the backhand approach. So, I’d much rather just step out here. It’s almost like 90% guarantee I’m right where I want to be with that disc. If I was going to do a bird stamp, welcome to come up with some ideas for me, too. We are going to throw honestly the flame scorch might be good here. Again, this has kind of been my new go-to hiser flip longer disc. See if I can get it just a touch lower than last time. Great. Now miss the tree. Oh, that’s awesome. Just in case I make this eagle, I’m recording from over here. This is where I ended up with the flame scorch. Are you kidding me? This is my best drive ever on this hole. Get it in the air. Oh no. Still an awesome birdie though. This is always a really fun one. We’re going to throw [Music] firebird. Nah, let’s go with the PD. Go left. Go left. Keep going. Give me a skip. Yeah, that’s good. Oh, I tried way too hard on that putt. It’s good to actually get that. Makes up for that mist eagle putt. I think it’s time to use the Luna. Little hiser flip. Give me a skip. I know it’s muddy. Oh man, did not throw that hard enough. Little circle two bid. Going to go with my straddle step. That’s a lot of mud. missed one putt and your whole disc gets muddy. Just left. So, I’ve been liking throwing this PE today. This is a par five. You just want to get yourself in front of that pin and push up as close to that mouth of that tunnel as possible. There’s a mando marked on the left. So, baby Annheiser and see if I can get this to settle down and get out of the mosquito hell. It’s exactly what I wanted. I just need to get it down now. Okay, talk about a great spot to land. I have just a forehand, dude. There’s like 500 mosquitoes. No talking. Just throw. Get out of my face. It’s redemption time. Got another eagle putt. Yeah, definitely C2. Do I step it? Do I I feel like I’m better at this. Get the right height. Just the right of the bin. Oh my god. Okay, looking bright side tap in birdie. We don’t got to ruin our day because we missed a putt. Yeah, I got tricky part four here. You got to go through this tunnel. It’s very tight up there because it has a mando. It’s a par4. Goes that way. So, you can’t cheat and go left. Oh no. We’ll have to see where that ended up. Here’s our hex. It also helps whenever you throw pink. I’m going to just try to get as far up as I can. Stop. Oh, hit the tree, please. It’s not hot. It’s just mosquitoes. They love They love me right now. But I don’t love them. All right. Flat top Firebird his flip. It’s a par. It’s a par4. Just hit the gap. Let me throw the forklaw here. Oopsies. Just going to get this to the pin and I’m going to approach him. There’s the grass is too tall to get there today. Yeah, that’s what we wanted. Just a little overstable putter shot. Wouldn’t necessarily advocate for what I was about to do, but yeah. See how this is all so grown up? I don’t know why they haven’t mowed this. This is the way to get to the green, so I had to lay up. Figured I would give it a chance. Crossed the chains. I am telling you, the Berg is my favorite disc of all time until this zone keeps working. Got it with the Berg. Wait, I have an I have a thumbnail idea. Oh, hey. The spring still works. Oh, no. I had to do that. It’s time to launch this disc as far as I possibly can. Halo Wraith. We’re not going to this one. We’re going all the way over to the far one. This is hole 13, the long tap pad to 14’s pin. It’s par five. Yeah, that should be up there. It’s a good spot. Just ranged it. I threw 480 to here with a halo wraith. That’s okay. If I was going to go for this in two, I would have to throw this to the pin. It’s 550 left. I have a tailwind. I could get there, but I don’t really feel like losing the disc right now. Well, I thought that was lost. Let’s go A2. Also, Prodigy reached out and said that the custom stamps are really close to being done. So, we’ll have a brand new A2 to put in the bag pretty soon. I ordered 10 A2s, 10 A5s, and I’ve got a bunch of PA3s coming out with that stamp. I’d like to not be that close, by the way, on that second shot. That was dumb. A2s are so good. I don’t think I have the power to get a forehand all the way to this pin if we play this one. I’m not sure. There is a mando, so you have to go left. I’m going to try to throw a crave to get it working. It’s going to have to miss some trees, though. Oh, and some fire ants. Watch out. Oh, that’s way too straight at it. Going to have to miss this pin to get to the right. See if I can go over it. Sit down. Oh, I went so deep on accident. I did not realize how close that was. 15 steps. So, we are definitely circle two here. I need to make one of these circle two putts today. like that. I was like about time just uh did it for a par save instead of an eagle. This is going to be a true test if this zone is a good replacement. This is way more stable, but normally I just go zone right here forehand and it just flies so straight. This one is probably going to finish to the right. I got to get through these four gaps. God, get off. Oh, yeah. So much more stable. But it gives you a putt down there. Good lord. Well, better make this putt or else it’ll be a fun second putt. Got it. This is one of those where it’s almost impossible to film. So, I’m going to leave you guys over here going with the TL. Just want to get this thing working to the right as much as I can. I have never hated mosquitoes more in my life. going almost. I like winter whenever they’re wearing mosquitoes. Aside for some redemption, I’m going to try to get this all the way up there. I’m going to do my flatter destroyer where it’s going to do more left and right. Sometimes doiness I don’t get the cleanest releases. All right, catch on in. I need a big skip. Not sure how I’m going to make this, but Oh, it spit out. Stock PD2 shot coming up. Haven’t thrown it today. Perfect time for it. That could do it if it keeps going. Go, go, go, go, go, go. That was not far enough left. Well, if they don’t mow it this weekend, I guess being further left is better, huh? Another circle two putt. I could tell that was going off the band. Really, just give yourself a chance at a birdie. That’s all I try to tell myself on T-shots. Just get within circle one or two. It’s all you got to worry about. It’s 475 down the hill. Got people all over the place. Little headwind. Too high. That is not going to get there. All right, we’ll be in circle two. Got about probably 40 left. Still thought I pulled it off. We’ve been really close on a lot of these putts. Says it’s 400 to that pin. So, I’m going to throw a halo destroyer just to be safe. be pretty cool if I threw the bird in for a birdie to end this round just over the pin. It’s like I can’t buy a circle two putt. I only got one this round. Last putt of the day. Let’s make it simulated like we’re got to make this putt to win it. All the pressure. Everybody’s watching you. Hey, there we go. This is actually the pen I won my first B tier on. It’s the Tiger Open last year. A 1013 and a 1019 to win by one. That was a really fun one. That’ll wrap it up. My favorite two discs from today were the Flame Scorch and the Zone Fourclaw. These are two really good additions to the bag recently that have made it in. So, that’s going to put a wrap on the practice round. I’m not upset about that round. It was fun to come out here. Come play. We only have five people signed up so far.
