Srixon’s Mark Ryan runs us through the company’s all-new Z-Star Series balls. The latest line of Z-Star Series golf balls are engineered to pack an even greater punch, with longer distance, more optimised spin, and tour-level stopping power around the greens. A highlight of the latest Z-Star Series is the newly formulated, extra thin, premium urethane cover made with biomass. This innovative cover is specifically designed to withstand all conditions faced on the course, ensuring each Z-Star Series model maintains its tour-calibre performance throughout rounds of play.

[Music] Good day guys, Brad Clifton here for Australian Golf Digest. Now, if you’re in the market for a new ball, I’ve got some great news for you because Strickson’s new range of tool balls, the famous Zstar is back and it’s bigger and better than ever. And to tell us all about it’s Mark Ryan from Stricken. What a selection mate. Yeah, thanks Brad. So, three to balls again uh and I’ll just run through a little bit of the differences between the three. So, to help the consumer just pick which ball is best suited to them. So Zstar, which is the ball that people are most familiar with, is our higher spinning tour ball. So if you’re looking for that that spin around the greens, that green side spin, a little bit more approach spin, uh we’re going for the Zstar. The difference with this model this year is a little bit longer off the tea, a little bit more mid-ir spin, which is fantastic. And then we’ve got the Zstar XV. And this has been known as probably our longest golf ball. It’s the hardest compression in our range at 102. Uh, and it’s the one that’s going to launch a little bit higher off the tea, a little bit less long iron and driver spin, which is great for someone who loves to bomb the the ball a long way. But this generation’s got a little bit more greenside spin and mid-ir spin as well. But we also have the ZStar Diamond, and this is the next generation of ZStar Diamond. They’ve made a little bit softer than last year. So, it’s 100 100 compression. uh we’re getting a little bit more spin deeper into the bag and a little bit less driver spin which is fantastic for that guy looking for that and girl looking for that little bit more distance off the tea. Um further to that as well Brad we offer them all in a yellow option and we now are also doing the divide ball in the Zstar and Zstar XV which is a great ball for that little bit of visual performance. Fantastic. Now what many people might not know is there’s a bit of an environmentally friendly aspect to these golf balls too. Tell us a bit about that. Yeah Brad so it’s called biomass. So, there are actually some plant-based material, plant-based products going into this ball, which will biodegrade. So, it’s less carbon emissions when creating this golf ball, which is just fantastic. Everyone’s going a little bit green, but the golf industry has to go down that path as well, and we’ve introduced some plant-based materials into this product, which is a little bit more environmentally friendly with less carbon emissions. That’s very pleasing for guys like me who lose a box around. That’s uh I don’t feel quite as guilty now. You’re doing your bit for the environment, guys. Check it out. It’s a great new range, the great new tool ball Z Star from Stricken. Make sure you go get fitted.
