David Peterson grew up in Colorado. He is pitching against his hometown team tonight. Coming off perhaps his most important start as a Met with seven and two thirds against the Dodgers when the Mets needed it the most. David’s good friend Kyle Freeland, who also grew up in Denver pitching for the Rockies tonight. He is the former number one draft pick for this ball club. Ezekiel Tovar had been playing well lately since coming back from the injured list, but he strikes out on the changeup and has his first strike out of the night. Two men away. Brandon has played such an outstanding left field this year. In fact, coming into the day, he is second among all major league left fielders in defensive runs saved and so back to back hits from the nine and one hitters and the Rockies have something working here in the third as he Tovar at Citi field, a robust 480 he struck him out, led to the curveball, bounced it. It will be a base hit for Doyle and now the tying run will come up and Ryan Mcmahon, he’s there doesn’t get the glove there score that a base set for Doyle. His second head of the game. Jeremy Hefner out to talk to Peterson will get one more batter with the left hand hitter Mcmahon coming up and Mac lines it to right. It’s going to get into that corner scoring.
