All right, gentlemen. We’ve been over the rules. Protect yourself at all times. Follow my instructions. We’re going to have a clean fight. Touch gloves and let’s do this. I think we might be back here. All right. I love that. before it was a once in a-lifetime thing and then he kept saying possibly the last time I was like, “Oh, there’s hope. We have to place incredible Octagon girls for the main event. Listen, those show, those movies, those films, there’s got to be an Emmy in the works from people that produce this. This night has been fantastic.” Here we go. All right, here we go. Five rounds if needed to decide the UFC bantamweight championship. Rob Dwall Willie is in red. Sean Ali in the black and gold befitting a champion. Hey, hey, hey. What’s going on? Stop. Stop. Stop. Stop. Stop. Tie. What happened? Ty doesn’t have his mouth piece. What’s going on? Don’t start this. What happened? What’s going on? Looked like was trying to engage Tim Welch in the corner perhaps. Okay. Wow. What happened? I’ve never seen that. Yelling at Tim Welch before the fight. That’s so strange. Do your job. I’ll do mine. So does he say Tim Welch can’t yell? No, he was yelling at Tim Welch. There has been some friction between Morab and Ali’s chief corner, Tim Welch. He needs to worry about Shawn Ali. Very strange. I’ve never seen anything like that before. Ali lands to the body. Two high kicks to start. figures to be a significant speed discrepancy here. Perhaps not as pronounced as Omali versus Cheeto Vera. Early in the fight, it looked like Omali wanted to get him going backwards. That’ll help him if he allows to pressure him. It could be a very long night. Coach, you’re fighting. That’s a warning. Herd warning the Ali corner for perhaps trying to coach the other athlete. There was a situation in the past involving Aljain Sterling where perhaps Tim Welch was shouting instructions to Aljo. Aljo professes to have not heard it. I don’t even know that I’ve I’ve seen anyone do that before. And why would you? Well, he tried to get Aljo to rush in, so he said, “You got to go, Aljo.” But Alain said he never even heard it. And that’s likely true, especially with the the crowd noise and being focused. Good kick there by Morab. Well, it hurt with a warning, but I didn’t even think that was illegal. I I I don’t know because like I said, I’ve never seen anyone do it. Jeff Romero Ali. Two minutes have gone by in round one. The sound in here is different though. Even with the crowd back, most of the crowd is behind us and they’re not on that side. And it just you can hear so much more. Nice jab by Ali. Now he goes to the body. And I think the screens echo everything as well. Nice stick by Ali there. Rob has not changed levels one time yet. Not once. at your defense. That’s your defense. You got 26 seconds. There it is. There it is. First take down attempt by Rob. Yep. And he got it. Wow. He got it pretty easy, too. Good early sign for the challenger. Two minutes to go. Round one. Sean’s back up to his feet though, but eating some shots. Eating some big shots. Rob is okay with this though. He lets you get up to take you back down. It is so exhausting to keep getting up and then taking back down. The rob will try to wear on Sean Ali. Those are nice knees, too. Yes, they are. Hook his leg. Hook his leg. John Wood leading the corner tonight alongside Alain Sterling and Ray Longo. Morav is doing an interesting thing, too. He’s grabbing his own gloves. Oh, strong. Nice job by Ali. Dwall Willie in perpetual motion. Little blood around his nose or so it appears. Oh, nice right hand connection by Dallas Willie that allows him to get inside and he gets a second taked down. Sean back up to his feet again, but he’s caught guillotine. Oh, guillotine is tight. Trying to mount him. Twice Willie historically not much of a submission threat. Just a grinder though. Just constantly trying to make it work. Right now his intention is to make Shawn Ali work. And right now in round one he’s been successful doing that. Sean back up to the feet again. Little left hook there by Morales Willie. So comfortable in combat. He seems so relaxed in there with such a dangerous guy. All right, couple takedowns for the challenger in round one. And so Herd Dean Sternly warning Tim Welch. How do you define excessive coaching? Maybe coaching the other athlete. I don’t know. Well, that’s got to be it. I mean, bizarre terminology. I heard I Because I swear to God, one time I was at a fight in Jacksonville and I heard was it Glover to Sher and Anthony Smith. Yeah. And I mean there was coaching the entirety of the fight. Yeah. How is that wrong? I I just don’t understand. Dean Thomas, talk to us. For as sharp as Ali is, he’s a sharpshooter. We know this, but it’s very difficult to pinpoint a butterfly in a windstorm. And that’s what Morab has done right now is he’s allowed himself to stay on the move and not allow a target for Ali. If Morab can keep this up, man, Ali might be in for a long night. Is can Morab do this though? Dean, can he do this? Eventually, you kind of have to slow down and then maybe Ali makes some adjust adjustments to keep him in front of him. But who knows, man. That’s why we fight, right? I don’t know if he has to slow down. He hasn’t done it before. He’s shown, you know, I mean, he can do this forever. But he can’t take Shawn down if Shawn takes the center of the octagon and he stays forward. But Morab is constantly trying to move into you. And you got to imagine as the fight goes longer, the danger level is not as high with Omali because it doesn’t matter if you punch hard. As you start to get tired and you have to wrestle and you have to defend yourself, you start to lose a little bit of that power. And so far, Morab’s been fantastic at avoiding the big shots. Sean’s got to do something to get his respect. Morab’s about to come here. He’s about to level change here in a second. As he starts to move Shawn back towards the octagon side is when he wants to level change. There it is. He does it every time. He starts to move close and as soon as Sha’s back starts to get to the octagon side, he’s ready to go. All right, three minutes in round two. Third taked down on four attempts for Dwallis Willie. And what that can do to your opponent, we saw with Alexa Gracel, they stop throwing because the takedown is so right in your face. Oh, up. But still, this is Morab’s game plan here, 100%. Yep. Sean’s trying to use a high guard here. Sean needs to get back to his feet like he did in round one. Morab will ride you for as long as you let him. Dwall really a very hard guy to simulate in training. Triangle attempts. Hey, stop. Stop. What happened? Grabbed his glove. You grabbed inside the glove. Do not do that. Come on. Yeah, he he grabbed his glove when he was trying to get the submission. Herb Dean’s the best. He really is the best referee. He is all over it. And Ali’s team has got to be careful. Look at that. You see it? Yep. He’s holding the inside. Right on top of it. Puts him right back in the same position. And now Moral’s passing the half. Oh, nice right hand from Dwish Willie at his suffocating best here in round two. Sean keeps throwing up submissions. Can you see these submissions to try to get back up to speed like that? Short time here. Nice transition by Dwallis Willie. Rob is beating him up, man. Oh, big moments from there. Twice really felt like he could realize some success with the striking he has. End of round one and now in round two. We have just seen him do this to so many people. He’s just so smothering. You can’t let him get your hands his hands on you cuz once he gets stuck to you, he’s like glue and he just manipulates you. You go forward, he takes you forward. You go back, he takes you back. Ali being forced to work hard defensively as yet. Unable to get upright. And these are brutal knees to the thighs, too. He’s digging in right behind the knee. And even if he doesn’t get him to tap here, this is just draining him. He’s just wearing him. He’s laughing at him. Hey. Hey. Hey. What is going on? Time was not out. Shouldn’t have done the kissing. He kissed him. He kissed him. This is Wallace Willie, man. Guy’s got a motor. That’s right. Yeah. Unlike anything freakish. Look at him. Not even a little tired. Sean’s got to take some chances, though. He’s going to have to take some chances. Put some something out there to try to put N Rob down, right? But what is it? got to throw. Yeah, you got to just throw. But every time he does, Morav grabs a hold of him. But if you don’t, eventually he grabs you anyways, right? And you got to think Sean, these rounds of being mauled like that, they exhaust the arms and frustrate you, fill you up with lactic acid. Not the volume we have come to expect from Ali. Not as many faints. Ali attacks the body. Dwallis Willie has landed a few more strikes thus far. Four minutes here to go. Round three. As Omali attacks the body. That right hand in the body is the most successful blow he’s been landing. He’s done it multiple times, right? But it’s not a lot. It’s not enough to keep Mob off, man. And what’s killing him is he can’t use his kicks as he does so frequently because if he kicks, he feels like Mob’s going to grab his leg. Dwall Willie staying defensively responsible. There it is. Comes at you like a bull. Oh, nice knee from Dwallis Willie. That appeared to get Omali’s attention. And then he goes to that front headlock. This front headlock. It’s so important to wear somebody out. He’s attacking the darling fight. But again, Joe, it’s all designed to just fatigue and just physically dominate him to the point that he starts to get discouraged and he starts to lose faith in the idea that he’s going to win the fight. And the more this happens, the more is going to be slow on his feet and make the threat of the punch less. Oh, that was illegal. Ali able to get out and we isolate that last knee. It looked like Omali’s knee was on the ground or close to it. That all changes in November, right? I saw a video somewhere that says in November you can actually meet people when they’re on the go. I don’t know if that’s the date DC. I try to be here for you champ. That’s a better rule. That’s change. Yeah, quite a bit. So Shauna Ali and our fighter meeting acknowledged his satisfaction with the Cheeto Vera cardio, but he also acknowledged that this was an entirely different 25minute challenge. So, you heard Tim Welsh say he’s got the legs. We’ll see if he can sort of find his way back in. It’s the hands down rule, John, that I was referring to. Not Oh, legs. Thought that knee might connected. But even Mab is not shooting as much as he normally does, right? Cuz he respects the power of Ali. Nice inside leg kicks for Dwallish. Willie setting him up. He’s moving him back. He’s about to go. And he’s avoiding all the shots. Yes, he is. One minute here to go in round three as Wallace Willie continues to attack that beat limb of good left hand up top by Sean. Reset from Ali. Wallace Willie partially lands the right hand. If he thinks you are slowing down at all, he just hits the gas. Sean stopping knees now. Yep. Ali has scuffed six of nine. Take down attempts right. So a better round for Shawn Ali. Oh, nice advance to the left hand and now a knee. Nice. 15 minutes down, potentially 10 to go. Wallace Willie figures to try to apply pressure here as we arrive at the championship rounds. I love the message. I love the message. Tim Welsh, uh, I would tell him a little more activity. You got to be active, right? And right now it seems as though Shauna Ali is looking for that kill shot, but he’s going to need to be a little more active to find it, I believe. And Ray Longo’s telling Rob to just walk through him, cuz he said he’s felt his power. Was just the wrestling of the Rob is so dominant that Shawn has to land a kill shot. He can’t just flow. He can’t just throw combinations. He’s got to like crack and normally that’s what he’s so good at, right? Just think back to the Moutinho fight whenever he was just flowing punch after punch angle change, right? But who’s he fighting? Moutinho is a different animal. You can’t do that with Morav. No, Morav’s completely different animal. The more he extends his combinations, the quicker Mob will level change on him. And every time he gets taken down, it’s two and a half minutes before he can get back to his feet. Jab by Omali, but often times it’s been one and done tonight with his strikes. Not much in combination. Man there. He stung him there. He’s a little bit more light on the Oh, there it is. Oh my god. That’s his hips on that. Beautiful. The timing on that was fantastic. Nice slicing elbow from Ali off of his back. Oh, it looked like it cut Morav. Yeah, that elbow I think got Malui over the eye. Yeah, the cut around the eye looks like the cauliflower ear might be bleeding as well. He’s all messed up, but it’ll be worth it if he can get this victory. Shawn Ali needs to get that left under hook in and get up to his right hip. Start trying to build his feet. Mob is so strong and just really trying to dole out damage and abuse. Not hunting submissions. I’ll tell you who’s enjoying this as much as Morav’s corner coaching me again. Don’t worry. Umar no med. Yes. Because even if Shawn is able to win, Omar’s probably thinking to himself, you need to work. I can do this. Herb’s telling him he needs to work. I mean, he’s working. He seems to be working to me. No doubt. He can’t stand the model. No. That’s crazy. Who cares if people are booing, right? Sean is trying to battle back up to his feet, but he’s got an under hook now. But Morav just kills it. He repummelles to regrip the underhook. Every time Shawn gets to an under hook, Morab just slips his arm and then takes it back. Now he’s in half guard. He’s got a half Nelson on the opposite side. Well, after Ali’s last title defense, he called for a fight with featherweight champia topia, but also acknowledged with you, Joe, that if the promotion wanted him to beat up Morab, he would do it. But he’s been on the wrong side of that largely tonight. Yeah, for sure. I mean, just Morab Dwal’s really dominance, right? What we’ve come to expect. It’s it’s how he deals with everybody. It’s really incredible. He’s just a different animal. There were some circumstances that led to Dwallis Willie beginning his UFC career 0 and2. He’s reled off 10 in a row and leading the champion here late round four. Man, you can hear him around corner saying give him weight on his hands and just instructing him as he’s just wearing down the champ just ragged on. Yeah, control. Four takedowns on 10 attempts for Dwallish Willie. He’s also thrown nearly twice as many strikes as Ali. Even on the ground, it’s just knee in your legs. Just constant pressure. A lot of fans and pundits felt like if Morav got to this championship setting, his style would translate beautifully over fives. He’s a nightmare for just about everybody in this weight class. I mean, that’s why he’s won 10 in a row. Yeah. But I think stylistically Umar is the more interesting challenger for Morav because he’s such a good grappler as well and a great striker. I mean Rob is just beating him up at Oh my goodness. Oh well didn’t like that one. Oh my goodness. Oh tried to land a left hand late but 20 minutes in the challenger leaves the dance and he’s not even a little tired. not tired at all. Second round. We’ll see if he has enough to close out the world title. And for Ali DC, any thoughts on Tim Welch giving him sort of one combination there to try to close the show? Well, he he needs to tell him that he’s got to finish the fight. He knows what his pupil can do best. He knows what it would take for Shawn to knock him out and he’s telling him, “Take your time with your feet. Set up a big shot and throw it. Try to put him down. Set up a big shot and then throw a knee behind it. And throw a knee behind it. try to catch him while he’s shooting. But what he’s saying also is he’s not telling him you got to finish the fight. He’s not just telling him because the kid already is a little it seems like he’s a little discouraged when he went back to the to the corner. So he’s trying to keep it as positive as he can be. I know Herdine just said to the fighters that they have to work, but if you are Dwallish Willie, you better manage risk here. Yeah. I mean I mean how can you tell them they have to work, right? I mean they’re working. This is how the fight is playing out. I don’t Rob’s fought a beautiful fight. Yeah, incredibly done exactly what he intended to do out there and he knows Shawn has to come to him. He’s up four. I mean, just strategically, this is the way to fight. Yeah. Get on your bike and secure a world title. They’re saying I mean, Herb is saying work, but I I I can’t agree with him here. No. Well, he Morav won’t get close to Ali until he’s ready to go and take him down. Nice hand allows him to get inside. Take down number five away in an amount. He will not get close unless he’s about to take him down. I mean, I’m very surprised, right, with how well he’s taking him down. Considering Almaine Sterling struggled so mightily to get one taked down, this guy’s just running right through him and getting him off of his feet. I just think that’s morb. And I think Aljo was just too big for the weight class, too much of a weight cut. He couldn’t keep this kind of pace. But I mean, Mob is like he hits him and he almost knocks him into the air every time. I mean, this is like overwhelming. But it shouldn’t be surprising if you saw what he did to Henry Cejudo. I mean, he’s just an animal. Henry Ceudo is Olympic champion and he was able to But now Herb’s telling him to work again. That’s kind of crazy. I I don’t understand. I just don’t understand what he worked on. That is insane. Dean Thomas, talk to us. Please. Yeah, I I got to chime in on this whole work thing. It’s not the referee’s job to coach the fighter, and that’s exactly what they’re doing. And I’ve always had a problem with referees telling my fighter to work. Referees got to chill out and just officiate the fight, not telling him. Change the tide of the fight because you can force a guy to do something out of pocket. Yeah. You’re not talking about like timidity. I mean, unreal. I mean, it’s a dominant performance by Rob. Who cares if the audience is, you know, you’re not beating the monsters. I mean, I hope 20 years from now, every MMA fight begins on the ground for guys like DC. I mean, strikers have a lot of advantages already. Well, you know, we all like fight fans have favorites, right? They’re watching a guy that they’ve come to love get taken down and controlled for most of 20 minutes. But what they should be saying is that their guy is not giving up on himself and still throwing to try to end the fight. We should just all be impressed at the game plan of Morav Guavas Willie and how he’s been able to implement it against up until now the best fighter in the world in the division. You know what the crazy thing is? It’s the same thing with Kabib. You knew what he was going to do, but how do you prepare? Oh, heard him. He hurt him to the body. He hurt him bad. Body shot. Oh, and another one spinning attack now. What did he do? He hit him with a front kick to the body. And maybe in that again, Shawn didn’t throw many of those because he probably was worried he would grab him. He did it again. He did it again. I think he heard him again. Wallace Willie shoots and he ate an uppercut on the way in. We’ll isolate that kick to the body. Pointed the toes beautifully. Now Sean’s on that kick. One minute to go. Dwalace Willie shoots. And Sean got out of it this time though. Oh, there’s the knee. Beautiful knee up the middle. Oh, another front. And Willy looked at the time. He does not like that front kick. Wallace Willie flapping gums the whole way here down the stretch. Under 40 seconds to go. Ali trying to find one last potential opportunity. What is Herb Dean saying? Why is he saying this is crazy? I have no idea. I do not understand it. I do not understand it. As if the challenge is not allowed to circle when he’s up 4-0. Ali again to the body. Oh, nice shot there by Ali. He slows him down again. That’s it. Rob did it. The Georgian Morab Dwalis Willie will soon be announced as the new undisputed UFC bantamweight champion. As much as perhaps the referee tried to work himself into that fight in round five, Dwallis Willie is able to survive some of that body work from Ali. And the Georgian at his stubborn suffocating best tonight and he is going to rest the title away from Sugashan Ali. And what else can you say about team Sarah Longo? Certainly John Wood in Vegas chief in the corner now, but Ray Longo cornering another champion tonight. They prepared this man. I mean, and this man is a monster man. his pace, his pressure, his cardio, his it’s just everything. He landed some good shots, but those shots, look at this. Just picking him up off the ground and driving into him these knees when he got the top control. John, a lot of this fight was built on this may be a stylistic nightmare for the champion. It proved to be absolutely that. Morabinous wrestling, his pace gave him trouble. Look at that. That front kick hurt him badly. Yeah, Rob could not hide how badly that front kick hurt. Ali with a good knee up the middle. Ladies and gentlemen, after five rounds, we go to the judges scorecards for decision. The judges score the contest. 4946, 4847, and 4847 for the winner by unanimous decision. And now undisputed UFC banterweight champion of the world the machine Miller.
