Right hander Ryan Gusto on the mound for the Astros today, Gusto three and 24.5 80 R A in 12 game six starts and that is a walk to start the game. Here is Brandon Lau who really led the offense on the home, a line drive that’s a base hit to right field smith to his left to come up with it and that gives Lowe the opportunity to go to third. So brandon Lowell with a base hit, Josh Lowe sets up at third and men on the corners with nobody out. Here’s Yandy Diaz fly ball right center field. It’s going to be caught by Smith. The tag at third. Lowe will score the Rays break out in front. Diaz delivers the first Rays run one to nothing. Ray three batters into the series. Lowe runs, the pitch is Lowe that’s ball four. So while the throw would have been in time, it doesn’t matter. It’s a walk to a run and the Rays have two on and one out runners going and the pitch is popped up on the infield. Runners have to head back. Victor Katin will make the play for the second out that ball hit to right. Cam smith towards the line will make the catch and that will do it for Tampa Bay in the first inning. One run on a couple of walks in a base hit. It’s one and on the bump is the Cypress Texas native. It’s the 25 year old righty shane Boz on the ground is short. It’s on, the money is out. Number one right to shortstop. Once again, same thing, Caballero with the throw to first in plenty of time. Two out, no one on and leaves it for jose, a line drive off the right cro and it’s a 123 inning on to the second one. Nothing. Here is Jose Caballero the race shortstop and a ground ball to third diving stop Peredes and a high throw. Caballero had a pretty good chance of beating that out to begin with and with that throw high, Guini had to leave the bag and the Rays get a baserunner and he’s on the move pitch is a strike and the throw not in time. He got in head first 18 for Caballero just like that. The Rays have another runner in scoring position swing and a Miss dice goes down. He strikes out in his first Tampa Bay at bat two outs in the inning. Fastball from Gusto two out runner at 2nd 1 to 0 Rays. And here’s Josh Lowe tip caught by Diaz. That is strikeout number two for Gusto getting the last two hitters to end the second one. Tampa Bay bottom of the third has retired the first seven batters on the ground. Second baseman and that goes through his legs recovers and he throws wildly. There might have been a little English on that ground ball but it was still mishandled by LAU and it will probably be an error. Brandon charged with his fourth error of the season. Houston a runner with one out in the third ground ball to short caballero to second one and to first, that’s two and we will head into the fourth with the Rays leading 1 to 0 against Simpson aboard. Here they open the inning with his speed and they will get him aboard on ball 42 walks in the first and now this leadoff walk to Simpson in the fourth and when you walk in the leadoff an inning, you’re asking for trouble pitches, a ball throw will not be in time in their head first with a stolen base number 17. Now Isak Peredes is giving him a look over there like you gonna try to take third. Also Simpson on his way to third and he’s going to steal that one. The ball goes to left and he’s headed to the plate. So is the throw but it’s not in time. And Simpson steals his way home. He’s using their speed in the running game of Chandler Simpson turning that leadoff walk into a run. It’s a two nothing game. Top of the order, Jeremy Pena leads off against shane Boz who was not allowed a hit or a walk so far drilled the left field. Jeremy Pena hits one right off the scoreboard. He is flying to second and he needed to fly. That ball was a rocket to left leadoff double for JP three. The first hit of the night is an extra base hit for Houston and now Isak is the batter. Oh, it’s caught Crow reaching across, makes the grab nicely done on that line shot off the bat of Farai. Jose Altuve digs in and is out on strikes three pitches and he’s out of there. Well, 90 nine, I’ll tell you, Shane jumped on that fastball was able to get it by Jose Altuve. What a big out to a guy who’s been red hot. There goes Pena pitched down and in Pena head first slide and he’s in there. Oh, Jeremy picks up stolen base number eight on the season two out lightning happens a lot for the Astros, especially this guy at the plate and that is strike three called, he throws him and we will go to the fifth so far so good for the Miles family. And the pitch is another wild one going to the backstop but up to second goes Aronda. So you got another runner in scoring position two and two. The count to Kevin Arrow ground ball toward the hole in the left here comes Aronda. The throw to the plate is not going to be in time and the Rays do get that third run. No, courtesy of that wild pitch. You get a runner in scoring position and Tamaro finds a hole on the left side and it brings up Chandler Simpson. He’ll send one to left center converging to Zenzo and Meer zack will make the call on the catch and that will do it for Tampa Bay in the fifth. We’re halfway home. The Rays lead the Astros 3 to 0. Shane Baugh set to work. Only allowed one hit. Jeremy Pena led off the fourth of the double but was stranded breaking ball lifted in the center fairly deep. It sends back Meisner still going back on the warning track at the wall off the batter’s eye for jr Diaz and the Astros are on the board. It’s 3 to 1 rays. Hey, bartender, why don’t you fire me up at Jana ball? That’s an extra shot in that 1 430 ft bomb by Jina. Here’s Cam Smith. That’s a liner to left and a base hit Simpson keeps it out of the corner, but Smith is gonna dig for two with a double and he’ll get the tying run to the plate with one out and a runner in scoring position in the bottom of the fifth. And that to strike through the curveball got him down two and wasted no time with that breaking ball catches him looking, that’s a big one because now you got the number nine hitter up there and Mauricio Dub-n and you’re one out away from getting out of it. There’s a base hit in the, it’s a one run game and now here’s Isak Peredes a chance to do damage again against his former team tying run on third. Go ahead run on first two outs and Peredes lifted into center. My nerves there makes the catch Cameron Meisner picks it off the grass to keep the Rays in front of the comeback for the Astros 16 of them on the season tied for second in major league baseball trying to do that again. Here tonight, we’ve had of the season tied at three, tried to beat him up top again. It did not work the previous at bat, Jose Altuve struck out on a fastball above the zone. His first career hit a big one ties the game at three with home run number nine and he takes one for the team right there. He goes to first Josh logo to second and the batter will be Yandy Diaz with a couple of ducks on the pond and nobody out in this 33 game ground ball right side first as the Rays retake the lead 4 to 3. So 1st and 3rd for Jonathan Aranda ground ball that’s going to go in the right the Rays get another run. Jandi winds up at third on the double by Aronda and it’s now 5 to 3. Tampa Bay here in the seventh. Junior cameo will be the next hitter, fly ball high and deep into right center off the bat of the baby’s gone home run. Junior Cabana, a three run shot and boy, the Rays have come back in a big way here in the seventh inning and the Rays make it an 8 to 3 ball game bases will be loaded for Junior Caminero, Jonathan Aronda draws the third walk of the inning for Tampa Bay and the first pitch in the cro and there’s a shot gonna be off the wall by the 366 markers. Two men will score. Tabaro having himself a very big night 111 off the bat on that double to drive in two more runs , six runs batted in tonight and the Rays make it a 10, 3 ball game. Cameron Meisner climbs in runners at second and third. That’s a shot toward right center field. That’s going to be in there. Extra bases bounding off the wall. Two more runs will score. That’s a double for Meisner who picks up his eighth double of the year and drives in two more runs. The Rays now lead 12 to three Cavallero bidding for Moore and that is a home run, two run home run for Caballero. We’re going to review this one. It’s going to be 13 to 3 or 14 to 30, I hit the rail of the top of the wall. I think it hit the yellow at the top of the wall. The runner on second base scores the batter runner, second base 13 to 3 Rs, 13 runs on 14 hits and a hot shot. Oh, it’s grabbed by, what a grab down there at third. That was a hot shot in him and Arrows had a big night driving in six runs and a wave and miss a 12, 3/9 inning for Solcher and the Rays win this 113 to 3 and take the first game of the series.

Rays are so good for such a small payroll it is unbelievable!
Junior Caminero – 3-6 | HR, 2B, 6 RBI
And three amazing line driving base hit catches
Mission failed, We'll get 'em next time
Thank you Lord for giving us ALL the talents and abilities to perform for your Glory. Amen.
When Astros lose everyone wins espically with a loss like this this lol and again their fans are so annoying too.
Go RAY'S ✨
Rays have won 8 of their last 9; they're hot right now.
Rays are HOT right now. A 13-3 victory against a great Astro team. Rays are seriously looking like a scary team to beat. A 6 win streak few days ago, 4/5 series have been series victories. Looking really good. Keep it up for the next game. Gg Astros
🔴🟢🟢🟢
Poor GUSTO!!
Ray's have to behave themselves on Base Running and Definitely Better Coaching. Stop running to either 3rd base or Home plate when the Ball is hit to that same side of the field. We constantly Get tagged OUT running to 3rd or Thrown Out at the Plate because Coaching by Numerically in Which Means STUPIDITY and Usually yet Another Loss !!
Jose Altuve!!!
Always a good day when the astros loose
The Rays are looking good right now. Let's keep it that way. Rays up!
No better team than the Rays
Raysup baby let’s go!
As difficult as it is for we Rays fans to routinely have to say goodbye to beloved players, it sure is fun embracing new talent. Exciting squad.
Been impressed with Jr's glove this season. Had a day
Whitley needs to move to Italy, serving up delicious meatballs like that.
Rays up!!
Ай, молодцы! Порадовали! Так держать. Вперёд Рэйс!!!

Beat the Cheats!!!
YOU POST WHEN YOU WIN…NOTHING ELSE..JJJJJJJ
Only good thing about this total bull pen meltdown is that Seattle lost and Astros didn't lose ground.
I lost $200 by a few inches on that Cabellero double.

Go stros🔵🟠
I swear the Ray's are the Astros Kryptonite.
Crowd the size of a WNBA game ❤
Chandler Simpson is so fun to watch. Great glove in the outfield too. Love his game, old school style
Fun seeing Simpson fly out there.
It’s crazy they sent Simpson down to the minors
five commercial breaks in a ten minute video seems excessive. do better youtube.
Wait so in the orange juice park, if it HITS on top of the homerun yellow line, its not a homerun? What do the astros not count a ball hitting the upright either?
Chandler Simpson is terrific !!!💪👍
Does the two teams in Major League Baseball, the Tampa Bay Rays (which they are in the East Division of the American League) and the Houston Astros (which they are in the West Division of the American League) have Southern roots? Did they play Thursday? Are they Southerners?
Go Astros
