Baseball nationals ten and five under the last 15. Seattle ten and three under their last 13 under tonight Washington and Seattle eight and a half. Baseball again Yankees 15 and four. Scott and Adam just getting rolling. Hour five on the line. In case you missed it, we always like to recap them for you. We’re going to go with under Nationals and See Mariners under eight and a half. Both teams on a nice little under run. We’re going to grab the Yankees plus or -165 at the angels. They’re 15 and four their last 19 games. Hockey will go at Florida minus the 120 or so against Carolina. They’re dropping the first puck as we speak Florida ten and four versus Carolina. And they won four straight road games. Next one under Texas eight and a half versus Toronto Rangers on a nice fat nine and one under run 23 and six under at home this season as well. And then the number one trend. Why not the cubbies. -360 versus Colorado Rockies three and 21 their last 24 games. And again do I expect anyone to, you know play the Cubs -360 straight. But last night was a great example. I’d rather give you the trend that’s going to win. You decide you want to do it or you want to play it straight. You want to put in a parlay, whatever the case may be. These trends are that trends. You know, sometimes they take into runs, you know, run and a half. But Cubs only won by one run last night. So the trend was a winner. If you laid the run and a half, you end up being a loser. So I’d rather give you a winning trend just to throw in a parlay if need be. So our five on the line 44 games over 500. So Adam getting set to begin about a half hour or so Minnesota and OKC elimination game. Thunder eight and a half point favorite. The over under is up to 222. That was two 20.5 earlier today. So people are betting the overs for whatever reason. I do like the over. I think we get some points tonight. Not comfortable though laying eight and a half, but I will tell you OKC seven and one at home this postseason. Six and two against the spread with the average margin of victory being over 20 points. So I don’t know if they win by 20 tonight. But I think OKC does finish things off. So you mentioned the Cubs. Just to go back to that for a quick second in terms of them just winning. And obviously last night it was not easy. Had to come from behind to win it late after giving away a late lead. But I bring them up because the Thunder you know you’re talking about I don’t want to lay minus three whatever on the money line. I agree with you. Obviously that’s that’s not something. If you could find value in the number by all means. There are plenty of people out there that will tell you that laying -500 isn’t a bad bet if it’s the right situation. Scottie Scheffler and a golf tournament or something like that. But you know, I looked at this and for me I believe OKC wins. I’m not so sure they cover the nine. In fact if forced to decide I would be more inclined to lay the or take the eight and a half nine points with Minnesota than laying it with OKC, even though obviously the Thunder are very live for a late rally and win by margin, as we saw in both games one and two of this series in Oklahoma City. What I would rather do and what I did do earlier today, is put Oklahoma City and the Chicago Cubs in a money line parlay together. It’s pretty juiced, obviously. You know, you’re getting, you know, minus three, whatever it is on both sides of that. So you put it together. It’s in the vicinity of -150, -160 somewhere in that range. But it’s not minus three something. And granted, you know, you need two things to happen, but these are two things that I believe are going to happen. I think the Cubs win despite not loving the pitching matchup in this game. But there at Wrigley against as we know and we talk about it on a daily basis. Scott the worst team in baseball history, let alone just this year and a Thunder team that yeah I just think they put it away. You know I think that Minnesota held them close at home in game four won by two you know didn’t quite cover the number. It was a two point game. But that was just a little bit of a you know I don’t want to call it a collapse. Oklahoma City won the game. But a little bit of a give back late in that contest. And you know, just I think you get the other side of that back here in OKC their home. They know they can’t be complacent. They don’t want not not that they fear it but they don’t want to have to go back to Minnesota to finish off this series. They’re up three one. There’s no way they are going to lose it. This Minnesota team is not capable of coming back from down three one to win this series. We see it very rarely in NBA history anyhow, and I just ultimately think the Thunder take care of business. So for me that’s the parlay. That’s the way I would play these two games together. YI tell you, if push came to shove and I had to do it, I would take more. I would go with OKC versus taking the eight and a half or nine, whatever it ends up being for you. I have more confidence in OKC winning than I do. Minnesota keeping it close. They lost game one at OKC by 26. They lost game two by 15. You know they had the blowout win. They lose. It was a deceptive two point game OKC was really leading the whole way. They really should have covered the three. They really should. That was a tough bad beat if you had OKC right. But they didn’t. But ultimately two point game. They hung close. But I could see this being a blowout more than I can. Maybe Minnesota comes out fast. Desperation as we’ve seen teams do. But I think ultimately if I had to pick a side, I would go with OKC. I really probably the best play is over a 100 and 14.5 points. OKC. That kind of incorporates it all. You might get a backdoor cover by Minnesota, but I think we both think OKC is going to play well which means they’re going to get their points. They’ve hit this number six times. So I do think they get that. I will tell you home teams that are up three games to 179 and 20 in game five straight up only I will say this only 4552 and two against the spread. So that’s seven games under 500 against the spread conference finals though when this occurs this is since 2003 six and two straight up five and three against the spread. And then if you want to throw this out there just to make it more goofy for you, home teams that are up three games to one that won the previous game, as OKC did, are 45, 32 and two against the spread with a point differential of 12. So kind of it kind of means that, you know, I don’t know what the straight up record is. I’m guessing it’s pretty darn good. I think what that tells you is that the road team realized they should have won game four. They didn’t, and now the series is over. But that’s to me what that means. That all being said, how would you feel about Minnesota with the points in the first half, maybe even the first quarter in terms of, hey, you know, even if OKC wins this thing, going away, like I said, happened in games one and two of the series. The Timberwolves knowing backs against the wall season on the line. All this stuff that they hang close for the opening half. Maybe even hold a half time lead. Yeah I mean listen I wouldn’t do it because I think ultimately OKC wins. But could I see it happening? Yeah I mean I could definitely see that happening more than I could see Minnesota covering the spread when everything is said and done. But I’ve seen you know, whether it’s hockey, whether it’s basketball, you know, pick a sport. The team that’s facing elimination generally has a little more giddy up just because, you know, these guys don’t want to end the season end. So they come out, you know, with a little more gusto than than the other team. So but other than that, I wouldn’t after the first quarter in game live continues SGP coming up next. We have a goal once again for the umpteenth time, we go to break and a goal pops up. It’s amazing how often that occurs here. Adam, what do we got? Adam. You were watching it. What do we have? Sebastian Aho, sixth of the postseason for Carolina, unassisted, 439 into the opening period. So the hurricanes, who as we know well, documented the 15 straight conference finals losses going into that game. For that, Carolina managed to win and blanked the Panthers, the defending champs, no less. A lot of people, including me, figured Florida would come right back here in Carolina, bounce back, win this game, and that could still happen. But right now, approaching the midpoint of the opening period, it is Carolina at home on the board first, which in terms of just energy in that building confidence on that bench gigantic for the hurricanes got yeah that is definitely big. So one nothing Carolina we’ll keep you posted on that. And it did come within the first five minutes. If you made that bet that would be a yes. So time for a little SGP. Same game parlay. We were in position last night to win. But then the bullpen came into play and all of a sudden Arizona’s a six nothing lead turned into an actual loss. Don’t don’t ask how that happened. So back to the well we go. We’re going to go on the left coast once again. This time we’re going to use the Yankees and Angels for our SGP. I do like the Yankees tonight. It’s only -166. I say only t because they’re 15 and four. Last 19 games. We gave that out as a trend on one of our five on the line trends. I think they get the win again. We’re going to go over four and a half runs. They lead the majors in scoring at least four runs in baseball. So I think they get at least a five. We’ll use Aaron Judge two bases. It’s -135 which is just crazy. But we’re going to do it. Obviously he can do that in one at bat. Anthony Volpe is the one that kind of really like he should be more than -132 bases for Volpe as well. These guys are righties. Angels have a lefty pitching, which probably leads to why these numbers are as high as they are. And then Trent Grisham, he’s kind of in the middle of that stack. He lined up to get one run. He figures to get one run for sure. So add it all up. It’s a decent little payout plus 576 and you’re turning a Yankees and over Yankees basically parlay into a almost 6 to 1 parlay with these other three guys. What do you think? Yeah I mean I’ll say this. The Yankees, like you said, lead the American League East. They’ve won four straight. They’re a good team. I don’t love this spot for New York. It’s not a bet that I wanted to play. Just betting on the Yankees. Never mind the rest of the parlay. But, you know, full disclosure, right? Like you’re trying to build out an SGP for the people out there watching, and you have very limited games to work with here. Unless you went with the basketball game, you just have the two for baseball Yankees, Angels and Nationals. Mariners. We’ll get to that one in a bit. You know, I think the Yankees win. I think they put up the runs. And how could I go against Aaron Judge the runaway favorite for MVP right now. So then it comes down to the other two legs. Volpe was the first one that caught my eye as boy I don’t know. I mean he’s he’s not great. But that being said you dive into recency bias and what he’s been doing of late and he is routinely getting on base. And not just that, you know it’s a lot of doubles and triples a lot of extra base hits for Volpe. And so I actually like, you know, just looking at some of the numbers. I like what he has been doing lately, and I would be inclined to back him. And then from there it’s you know, it’s obviously Grissom, but you know, you’re you’re just looking for guys in front to, you know, get on the board there when it’s guys like judge driving him in. So no, I think it’s a good spot. It makes a lot of sense. And I you know we’ll be rooting it on throughout the show here when. Well throughout the final 20 minutes of the show and finally get started. Yeah. By the way look at the Cubs are leading the Rockies already right. One nothing. It’s one nothing. Heading to the bottom of the second. Right. The Cubs are -10 to 1 with a one nothing lead in the second inning. And they bumped them from -350 or so to 10 to 1. And it’s only getting plus 560. You know it’s a 440 point vig which is just criminal. On the other side, if you actually wanted to bet the Rockies. But man, it doesn’t take much for them to boost these numbers up against the Rockies. I mean, it is just crazy how fast they beg for the opportunity. Yeah, they I mean, the thing was, you know, the Cubs have just for instance, right. They were minus what, 360 coming into the game. And after a scoreless, after a scoreless top of the first for Colorado and then Chicago coming to bat, the Cubs were instantly -500 like just, you know, before all they had done was get three outs, you know, throwing the baseball. And so yeah to be leading now one nothing. And the jump to what say again -1000. That’s nuts. Absolutely crazy I’m not surprised but it is crazy at the same time. Yeah. Stefon Diggs making OBJ look like the Pope on a party boat in Miami handing out I won’t say, but Drake Maye didn’t throw any interceptions today, so we’re moving in the right direction. Yeah of course neither Shredder Sanders there for Cleveland. So you know what. What is camp really mean obviously. Especially when it’s not even training camp. We’re just in OTAs right now. But hey it is a nice reminder Jeff, that football is coming. But before we get into, you know, the baseball even talk about the well, I guess we may as well talk about the NBA game because it’s going to be starting momentarily. We got time to look back on this hockey contest, which again is one nothing. Carolina midway through the first, a lot of talk in the last couple segments between Scott and I about OKC laying the eight and a half at home. He gave all sorts of numbers to support why people should be leaning into the home team, or questioning maybe whether the better bet is to just go over the team total for the Thunder and take the spread out of it. If you are a believer in OKC tonight, as he is, as I am, how do you see it? What is the right way to bet this game? If you like Minnesota tonight you got to dive into the first half. You got to hope they got 24 minutes to take the d out. Maybe ant has a big first half, but the longer this stays close, the more the crowd can start to sense it, the more OKC can start to sense it. That’s why we took the Minnesota T Wolves team total under the 106 and a half. I expect a good first half I do, but hopefully by the third and fourth quarter they just stretch this out. And then the T wolves no mas waved the white flag for the last eight minutes, and OKC can coast and get ready for maybe the Pacers next week. All right so why the under Minnesota. Because it sounds like you like OKC. What made you go under Minnesota versus just taking OKC. Lay in the eight and a half. Defense I think I was on a week ago. And we were on the same thing. And that was a high scoring game where OKC ended up winning and covering a lot higher scorig game than I thought it would. Home court OKC known for their defense, their depth, just hopefully they can slow Minnesota down and kind of rip the heart right out of them. If OKC comes out and has a big, big first half and is up double digits at half, takes care of business in that third quarter, I could see the points being real low there. I don’t have to worry about a backdoor cover where OKC is eighth and ninth and 10th guys on the bench and Minnesota outscores them by 12 and it lands on seven or something on a late three. So I don’t think they get to 110. I don’t think they get to 107. So I’m just hoping the OKC defense dictates this game tonight. That defense was incredible against Anthony Edwards back in the most recent game. You know holding him to 13 shots were all over just draped all over him throughout the game Jeff double teams triple teams couldn’t let him create couldn’t let him do anything. Not even an active facilitator in that game with his team effectively backs against the wall. But now, in the literal sense, season on the line. Do you go back to Edwards? Do you lean over? Do you do you figure he figures it out and, you know, responds in a way that that the Michael Jordan of today’s NBA, as everyone wants us to believe will. Adam I like the thought process because if you’re going to go down, you might as well go down with your best player. And I wouldn’t mind seeing in a mano versus a mano here. SGA versus an Ian Edwards. Hey, if I’m going to go out and we’re going to go golfing tomorrow, I’m going to go out on my best game and maybe he gets 3537. And if he does, he’s probably going to keep his team in that game. So again I tough to see OKC not winning this game. And with the spread at eight and a half, the hardest thing is to close a series out. Guys just ask the Panthers when they had it on their home ice and now trailing tonight OKC is bred differently. They were knocking on the door last year. Now they’re in front of their home fans. I expect an inspired effort here and I’m just hoping they win it. On the defensive side guys. Two baseball games that have yet to get underway Yankees and Angels. The first of the two. How were you attacking this one? Guys? The angels came into the series hot as a firecracker. They had swet the angels and then they had another sweep on the road. They come home. Of course, in come the Yankees. Here, this game looks like it’s trending to a lower scoring game. Here. Yankees team total is four and a half. Angels three and a half. I think the angels actually can score some runs today. Can they win the game? The numbers? Not really that that big on the Yankees today. It’s down to 163. I give the angels a puncher’s chance. But by doing that, I’m going to say, hey, I think they can get to four or better today, I really do. And if they’re trailing, I do get that ninth inning and the 25, 26 and 27th out. So I like the angels a couple homers tonight. Maybe NATO starts off bottom of the first with a homer, and I like them to get to four or better tonight. I’m just wondering and I know we can’t predict these things necessarily, although Scott did outline it well earlier before you came on talking about all the different reasons that midweek baseball and these day games on Wednesdays are kind of good, intelligent, stay away spots for bettorse have seen a lot. Most of the heavy favorites today lose and lose pretty decisively at that. You know, hoping obviously the Cubs don’t do so tonight. And they’re out to an early advantage at home against the Rockies. But I don’t know. Does any part of you believe that the Mariners and the game that you were just talking about the Yankees and the other game, both these games starting in the next hour, are are trap spots that, you know, you should just go with the theme of the day and take the dog. I did with the angels, I really did. And back in the older days, you know, not so much because there’s travel days now on Wednesday and obviously travel days on Thursday. Here you usually see those lower scoring games, the teams that play back to back games and then the getaway day in the early afternoon or mid-afternoon, bags already packed, they’re out of the hotel. They already got their mindset whether they’re coming back home or going somewhere else. So you can follow the trends. Trends can be your friends guys. And like on Memorial Day, we saw a ton of unders come in. I always use 4th of July as that day. There’s always so many unders. They’d rather be at a barbecue, at a cookout versus playing America’s game there, of course, and bases. But I do agree, Adam, to keep an eye on that there, especially if a team has lost the first two. Maybe you can steal one other than the Colorado Rockies, of course. How about Washington at Seattle? You know the team that’s desperate playing better hockey. But it’s a team that’s desperate Carolina is playing stupid hockey with a couple penalties. But they do lead one nothing. It is up to -225 4.5 minutes left to go in the first period. Florida’s down to 172 and five and a half is still your total at plus odds on the over on that one. Yeah, I wouldn’t mind taking a delve into Florida. You kno, they were -120 or so favorites to start the game. You get a full 100 point swing basically here Adam. So if you were going to dive in, always put a couple shekels aside for something that doesn’t work out the right way, that this would be a pretty good you know, they get some shots on goal. You know, they’re playing well. It’s just you know, they happen to give up a bad goal there. So one nothing Carolina giving Florida right now I’ll take a plus to 172. Yeah I can understand Florida’s up three one. So you certainly don’t have the desperation that Carolina has. By the same token, do you really want to go home and have to keep playing the series? Only four first period shots so far and the period’s almost over Scott. And not nearly good enough to this point out of Florida. And it’s not the defense like you said gave up a bad goal. So you’re down by one right now. And this thing is far, far, far from over. It’s a one goal game. You have an incredibly talented and potent offense. It’s not Edmonton, but it’s a very talented deep offense there. I just you know, I’d like to see a little bit more aggressiveness, which is why I do think the nearly 2 to 1 at plus money is worth sprinkling right now. Florida. You know if it maybe if the Panthers should happen to fall down by two and obviously you’d get a much different better number. But I’d maybe be singing a different tune about whether or not I’d be willing to invest. But you know, right now, to me, the superior team that is so close on the cusp to punching its ticket to the next round, the Stanley Cup final again, I think it’s worth dabbling anyway. Yeah. A couple baseball notes here as we let the basketball game breathe and just just tipped off. Saint Louis has rallied now leads at Baltimore 5 to 4 Orioles had a two nothing lead three nothing lead and a little bit of a rain delay. They’re back playing and Saint Louis which is red hot I’m playing great baseball now. Actually leads at 5 to 4 bottom of the fifth inning. I’ll say this over under is only 12.5. I think we get four more runs. You know, the Orioles are hitting a little bit tonight. You got half the game still left, basically. So clearly it’s the night of hitters. If you did anything. I like Saint Louis in the game just because Baltimore stinks. But I wouldn’t mind doing a little dabble out of Saint Louis now. Over 12.5 parlay FanDuel. I’ll let you put that in. And surprisingly enough they’re giving you plus 266. But sometimes you put in these these parlays and you get like no odds. And then other times like this I got a -146 favorite and a -122 over. And they’re giving me plus 260 that that’s you know that’s pretty good because most you know -110 -110 is supposed to pay two and a half to one here I’m getting more than that. Sure. And I got one that’s -150. So I don’t know what I’m missing. Always check out right. Yeah. Yeah. Absolutely. Put that in. And, you know before they change their mind. Saint Louis in this game coming in what I ultimately did. And I didn’t put a lot of money on this. But I, I just you know playing around with today’s slate and looking at how I wanted to bet some things that were beyond the quote unquote obvious, like, yeah, I like the Cubs to win. No kidding. I did a first five money line parlay with Oakland and with Saint Louis. And so the Cardinals have rallied just in time, just got to get themselves out of the bottom of the inning here and could cash that one. That was nearly 4 to 1 as well. So it’d be nice to bring that one home if, if Saint Louis can can do its job here, get the two more outs, not allow that runners on base to score. I mean, worst case scenario, if he does, that’s avoided situation on that particular leg. But it’d be nice to get the win. Do they have in game five inning? No. I was going to ask you are you a hedger if you could hedge out of that. But I don’t see I’m not I’m not I mean I don’t I don’t think you’d be able to do it now in the bottom of the fifth, you know, maybe a little bit earlier on you could do it. I’d have to look to see if it’s available, but I’m not really a hedger. Anyway, I say this all the time. I’m somebody that thinks about hedging all the time. I talk about hedging all the time, and I almost never do it. And I, you know. Right. And I’m just I mean, just to like a perfect example, Scott would have been and I could not have stated this scenario more perfectly last night to the point where I should have hedged or, or something because it was just infuriating. You know, you asked me earlier we were talking about Pittsburgh and Arizona, and you said, how do you feel about the Pirates under three and a half team total for the game? And I said, you know, I like it because Pittsburgh can’t hit. But what I would like better is going under their first five because I trust in Corbin Burnes. And we were looking that up. It took a little while to find it. We got there -145 under one and a half, and he held him scoreless through the first five. It wasn’t until the sixth, I believe that he allowed those two runs and you know, but the what I had said was, I mean, couldn’t you just see Corbin Burnes going seven strong innings, maybe allows a couple runs, then the bullpen comes in and screws it up, allows a couple more. You give up four and you win the game 6 to 4 or something like that. Well, that would have been a best case scenario for me. As somebody who had the Diamondbacks in multiple money line parlays because Pittsburgh came all the way to hell back burns seven innings, allowed two runs, and then the bullpen imploded, allowed a touchdown in the eighth inning, and Arizona all of a sudden loses the game by three. But what really irritates me to go back to what we were originally talking about was I looked I was just curious. I looked at my bet slip in the fourth inning. I think it was fifth inning, maybe when Arizona was still up. Six. Nothing. And the cash out that was presented to me was like 90, 95% of the payout. I mean, it was it was right there. Like, I would have been losing nothing in the deal, basically by just accepting it and moving on with my life and taking the guaranteed money. But I was like, they’re up six. Nothing. Burns is rolling. Pittsburgh sucks. They’ll be fine. They’ll win the game. I’ll just ride this out. And then what happens, happens. And I didn’t even look at what the other side would have looked like with Pittsburgh at plus money, obviously it would have been a gaudy number. I only looked at the potential cash out, but man, I went to bed. I woke up. I’m still upset about it. It’s this is baseball, man. Bullpens will kill you. Yeah, that’s why I cash out. It’s not necessarily that I want to be able to say I won the bet or whatever. It’s, you know, that’s part of it, obviously, but a lot of it is that just to avoid what you’re feeling right now, you know what I cashed out. And then you got Kikuchi, the left handed pitcher throwing for the angels. I just don’t think we’re going to get five runs through the first five. Got to get away day. You know bats are going to be swinging quickly. It’s just just to kind of a hunch play I don’t really love this one I really don’t. But let’s go under Adam four and a half runs five runs a lot for a Yankee Angel. Game was only three two last night. So under four and a half. It’s interesting that you’re kind of playing both sides too, because obviously you have the Yankees team total over as part of your SGP. But here the first five under for the full game. So look I mean there’s obviously a scenario where you hit both of those. You know it’s I don’t know maybe the Yankees are up three nothing after five. And they score a couple more and win the thing going away entirely possible. But yeah I’m with you I don’t know, I, I sort of I hem and haw, I go back and forth I guess because I, I just don’t think I, I don’t think much of Kikuchi. I think that you’re right about Schmidt. And that’s a guy that I would trust mostly in this spot. Kikuchi has just been very up and down so far this season. So I mean, really both these guys, neither one has a great era. I just trust Schmidt a little bit more as a total body of work, but it’s going to be an interesting one to watch. That one will be a little more in our grasp in in the final moments of the show. When it gets started here, I just I’m still kind of in awe of what’s happening. Scott, in this hockey game, I firmly felt Florida was going to respond and win the game. Still possible. It’s only two goals, 40 minutes left, and if you believe it, you can invest in Florida plus 360 on FanDuel right now. I wouldn’t do it. I would have invested before I said when it was one nothing. And right around plus 160 plus 170. Now that it’s you know I know people like to do the whole, you know, two goal leads, the most dangerous lead in hockey. I just I don’t like what we’re seeing out of Florida so far. You know it’s not the defense. I mean obviously the couple of bad clearing passes that you mentioned that Aho was in the right place, right time and executed perfectly on the other end. But it’s the lack of intensity offensively. Florida still four five shots through one period, just not nearly enough. They’re they’re I don’t know. It’s a little too casual so far in this game here. Yeah. Back to the angels for a second I’m trying to figure out why I played the under the first five. Because Kikuchi at home one zero with a 1.23 ERA this season okay, he’s not bad. You know, 1 in 4 ERA right around three. So I figured we’d get a decent five out of him. And I figured Clark who eventually will implode, but I thought maybe we get a decent first five out of him. So that’s why I went under four and a half. So I agree with you. With Florida, it’s amazing. Right? I mean, I asked one of our LOLs on the podcast, he’s a huge Carolina Panther fan. We got a bunch of listeners down in North Carolina and I said, you know, what would it take for you to buy in again on Carolina actually winning the series, right when your favorite team’s down three nothing, you realize it’s over. So it wasn’t three one. It wasn’t even three two, he said. Even if they win tonight, they’re more likely losing in game six. But it would have to be a game seven. So he’s asking, I think. I wonder how Carolina fans feel like if they win this thing like four one, five one dominating fashion, you know, if I was a fan, I’d be buying back in again. Yeah. Why don’t we start with tonight’s debacle? Yeah. Sorry. 2022 to 7. OKC is leading Minnesota Justin with 2.5 minutes left to go in the first quarter. Team that’s you know desperate. We’re seeing Carolina come through. But Minnesota seven points and 9.5 minutes. What do you make of the teacups. And what did you like about the this game heading in. Not really going to cut it I mean look missing a lot of shots. I think they will fight their way back into it. Likely a good spot maybe to bite the bullet. Get a Minnesota Timberwolves live spread if you like them pre game. Why wouldn’t you like them now I don’t always adhere to that mentality. But our shot quality data showing this should be like a four point lead for Oklahoma City at this moment. Instead of the 15 point lead that it is really just not seeing anything from Jaden McDaniels, not seeing anything from Mike Conley, nothing from Nickeil Alexander-walker. Only two players have made shots for the Wolves, and we are almost ten minutes into this game. That’s pretty crazy. While SGA and Shay have combined for 18, that’s that’s going to be tough to beat I think. Look Minnesota, they’ll figure it out. They’ll figure it out. This will you know they’ll they’ll fight their way back in. Those misses will come back around later. I don’t know how much they’re gonna I mean they’re going to shoot obviously better than they’re shooting right now. They’re shooting 17.5%, three out of 17 to begin this game for Minnesota in the first ten minutes. Clearly it’s ugly. It’s hard to imagine it getting much uglier. I mean, seven points with 238 to go in the first is unbelievable in today’s era of basketball. And a lot of that is obviously crediting the Thunder defense and what they’ve been doing in forcing this Minnesota team into bad shots. Now, you know, I don’t know if the 17.5 as it sits on the live line. That’s a pretty fat number. So I’m with you. If you believed in Minnesota going into the game, you’re getting a number that’s doubly as good. Now you may as well double down in it, but. Yeah I don’t know 18.5. Are they really going to shut the door at 20 or is are they going to be comfortable with it being eight, nine, 12. Like, you know, I think you’re going to see that last minute tooth and nail to the bone type of fight out of the Timberwolves. Right. They there’s not going to be any tuck our tail between our legs and go home. It’s there’s it’s just taking a flight down south. So I would expect him to fight tooth and nail I think I like that 17.5. Counterpoint on that. Just just real real quick. Yeah I mean this is a Timberwolves. This is like everyone wants to talk about Anthony Edwards. He’s he’s the new Michael Jordan face of the NBA blah blah blah blah blah blah blah. But let’s this team gets celebrated not only for ant being a young superstar, which he is obviously, but for, you know, being in the conference finals two straight years. Not an easy task obviously, but man, I mean last year I’m just pulling it up while I’m talking to you because I don’t want to remember it wrong. No, they got they got beat one win one win. Well I knew they got beat, but one win Dallas kicked the crap out of him. I mean, I guess that’s my proverbial mostly, but bad beat bad. Well but but but here’s here’s your thing. Like this. This is it. This couldn’t mirror this better in the closeout game, game five of that series, it was the worst loss 124 to 103. And that game was in Dallas. So maybe maybe the DNA of this team is to just freaking roll over when they’re down 3 to 1. It feels like that’s what we’re seeing right now with largely the same group. Look, I think I think there’s reason to believe it. I know I got the sirens chasing me tonight. We’re live here from New York City. You literally cannot get away from it. They’ll they’ll be gone in two seconds. But no, I think sure, it helps you sleep. You have you have a really good point, Adam. They are young. And I think that is maybe what you’re sensing from them is they could be the type of team that rolls over because of the inexperience or the frustration, and it just kind of over. So yeah, that could happen. I mean I’m on I’m on Gobert to be active hopefully tonight I haven’t seen too many of the stats. We just got started. I’ll pull them up here. But obviously with seven points and only two players scorine hasn’t gotten in. But I expect you know maybe some of that size to become imperative. Look maybe for the big guys Gobert Randall to be involved like props. It feels like the jump shots are going to need some action down low to get the spacing required. If they’re just going to bomb threes down 16 it could balloon and get ugly fast. So pretty pretty interesting dichotomy here with how the points are going to come down. It looks like and Edwards maybe going to the line here. We’ll see. I just I would be shocked to see this one end by 20. I’ll probably put a little on that 17.5. All right. Let’s fast forward to tomorrow then. You being a Knicks fan you’re in New York down obviously three one. They are favorites. They have the home game. You know the home game versus what Minnesota’s dealing right now on the road. Who do you like tomorrow night. Well I mean I think you got to like the Knicks to get it done. It’s scary. I think you probably want the Indiana Plus five. I don’t trust this squad to close out anything or for any lead to be safe. If they’re going to win a game, it’s going to be a 1.2. Victory. I’ll be there myself screaming my head off. So that’ll be fun. I probably won’t be able to talk for most of the weekend, but I feel like I have to do what I can to help them out because goodness knows. I mean, you know that getting sleepy in game one still obviously haunting them and obviously also some kudos to Naismith for knocking those shots down and making them pay and haliburton’s shot going down. But I think, you know, maybe feeling like the Knicks are playing as though it isn’t three one or it was it wasn’t about to be three one like it was going to be two two. And I feel like, are we really going to see them wake up and become a different team? I don’t know, maybe they feel a little young, inexperienced, haven’t played a lot together. It’s one of the hardest things to do in all of the NBA. So I don’t think they can do it. I think they have a really good shot to get to game seven, but I wouldn’t like my prophecy. As a Knicks fan who expects the most amount of pain possible is easy win in game five, close win in game six, and then the doors get blown off of them at Madison Square Garden in Game seven because Indiana is just sitting there waiting, letting them use their energy up and knows they just need one win. And that’s what happens maybe more often than we think. So Indiana in seven is like plus 850. I don’t hate it at all. All right. Yeah. You want to hold on to your. You know chances are they make a little bit of a run I guess. But to think that they’re going to come back and win, I would be shocked. I really would, although I will say this, they did come back last year against Denver. In the second round. They were down with 20 plus points or so in the fourth quarter, and they came back and won the game at Denver, which is just still can’t get over that one. But 28 to 11 there in the second. Just started the second quarter. They had nine points nine freaking points in an elimination game in which you you know, your backs are against the wall. They literally have two people, or at least they did after one has just scored. But they only had two players. Randall and Anthony Edwards score six and three in the first quarter, nine line points. Just you know, they’re shooting 19% one of nine from three point land 11%. I don’t see a comeback into this. I maybe you don’t lay the 17 19.5 right now, but I wouldn’t be betting 19.5 either though on Minnesota. Yeah. Listen, Scott, can I, can I dance on the grave before there’s a body in there? I am not at all surprised. Not not about, you know, the 29 to 11 as it sits right now. Of course, I’m surprised by that. I thought Minnesota would fight, but I have been saying, you know, look, I thought the Lakers had a chance to steal round one against this team. And clearly I was wrong about that. Minnesota went out and absolutely waxed the Lakers. But going into round two get Golden State on the other side. And it was an opportunity for game to game. Minnesota to hop. Absolutely destroy the Warriors without Steph Curry after he went down in game one. You lose game one fine. And I said at the time I said Minnesota like Curry’s not coming back to the series. Minnesota is not losing another game. Take Minnesota in five. Do it right now. The Timberwolves are going to win the next four. And sure enough they did that. But they did not do so game to game in convincing fashion. And I said throughout watching that series, I don’t trust him. I don’t trust the team. I don’t trust Edwards. I don’t trust this group, this depth. They should be winning these games more easily. They shouldn’t be trailing by double figures at all. They should not be in a position where they have to come back and win these games late. This is not right. This doesn’t look right to the eye. Sometimes you don’t need to overthink this stuff. It was Minnesota is playing somehow. You know the whole like well they this is what people told me. They play up to their competition. They play down to the competition. And it was they were playing down, playing down, playing down. Pardon me. And you know what? That’s all well and good in the playoffs. On a random Wednesday night in Charlotte you play again a couple of days later or something like that. Not in the playoffs when you need to be playing your best basketball at the most important time of the year, and for that team to even in a gentleman’s sweep, in my mind, lay an egg against the Warriors. When you had the Thunder or Nuggets, either one, but the thunder coming up on the other side, I said, I’ve been screaming at here on Sports Grid to anyone out there who will watch and listen. If you have been with me for weeks, we have been telling you how to make money on some of these series exact score form. It was. How do you see OKC against Minnesota? Adam I made it. Could be a sweep. It could go six. But where I’d put my money OKC in five. I have enough respect for Minnesota to say I will steal a game. And obviously they didn’t steal it. They blew their doors off. But OKC in five dramatically better team Minnesota can’t lift its game enough off of what we saw against the Warriors. Against a team like this on the other side. So did I see them losing by 18 early second quarter of an elimination game. And you know going down potentially the way they did last year against Dallas in that decisive game five. No I’m not going to say I saw that coming. But Minnesota decisively losing this series. Absolutely. I don’t know how anybody believed Scott that Minnesota was going to put up a fight in this series, let alone win it. And we have seen no display of it whatsoever. What OKC is doing right now. This is not fluky. This is who the Thunder are, which is why they’re going to win the NBA championship. And probably even though I think it will be a fight for you know, some games overall I don’t think it’s going to be that big a test for them with the Pacers on the other side I just you know crown him crown him right now. Just put the champagne in their lockers and let them celebrate. And they can play the next series drunk. It doesn’t matter. This team is too good too young, too deep too energetic. Good luck to anybody else. The Minnesota Timberwolves are feeling it right now, and it would be nice if we could sit back in the offseason and question Anthony Edwards and this team and the makeup of this roster and Chris Finch and all of these guys in the same way that everyone wants to question everybody else, but apparently aren’t has pictures of everybody who works in sports media, most especially the retired athletes who are praising this guy up and down on a daily, if not annual basis, saying that he should be the new face of the NBA when he is not one squat. Yeah. All right, hold that thought because there is a great odds comparison for kind of what you just said that I want to bring up. But let me tell you this first up though, right. Listen, if you don’t win a championship, they always say no matter what the sport, there’s only one team that’s going to be happy, right? So know that. But think about this. But think about the NBA and think about the teams and how they lost some of these games and how their fan bases are going into the off season. Nuggets and Clippers deciding game seven. Nuggets win by 19 and that was a 30 point game. Clippers just didn’t show it. A lot of people thought the Clippers were going to, you know, really challenge to win a championship according to share with the wise guys. Right. But they get blown out in game seven. Denver on the other hand then gets blown out in game seven against OKC. One 2593. They lose by 32 points. Don’t even show for a game seven. Their fan base has got to be all upset. Rockets has the number two seed lose in the first round and again a game seven. They don’t show. They lose by double digits. You could go to the Cleveland Cavaliers right. Losing to the Indiana Pacers in five no less. That fan base has got to be as frustrated as hell. You know as a Celtics fan how we feel about the Celtics. They’re awful. The Knicks are about to lose in five right. And they’re playing like garbage. You said they really haven’t played that many great games from start to finish. So it’s like every single fan in Minnesota is going to be the latest one. If they go out like a whimper, like they apparently will be doing. I mean, it’s amazing how every single fan base is just got a reason. You know, the ones that don’t are the ones that, you know, Memphis and the Orlando Magic. On the other side is Carolina trying to extend that series lead into zip and then NBA as we’re discussing here it’s all OKC 38 to 14. It’s up to now 24 points as far as the lead is concerned. Point spread is 21.5. It’s getting bigger and bigger and Minnesota is showing no signs of any life. So let’s assume Adam, you brought up a good point when you were talking about, you know, how Minnesota had no shot. You said you thought OKC was going to win in five. It’s interesting you say that because the odds FanDuel offers up a possible NBA finals and they give you the odds whether it’s going to OKC versus Indiana or OKC versus the Knicks. They don’t even use you know Minnesota. They have no faith in them. So possible finals okay. Which is funny right. Possible finals OKC to beat Indiana if you get your money back. In other ws that’s not going to be the matchup is -620. But if you want to lay a game and a half which means they got to win in six or less, it’s -245. And then you see there, if you’re willing to lay two and a half games, which is winning in 5 or 4, it’s -105. If you say OKC in five, exactly as you said in this series, you’re turning a -620 favorite, which is what OKC is against Indiana into a plus 220. That is an 840 point swing. So do you think it is really going to be you know -620 in an NBA finals or anything for nobody right. What’s the point. So you got to find you know pick your another way to lower those odds. I mean OKC got home court advantage I’m assuming you’re thinking they win the first two. They split three and four. They win in five right. I mean at plus 220 that’s not bad. Well I’ll say this. You know you brought up Fanduel’s hypothetical market. And obviously for the purposes of if something does go haywire and let’s say the Knicks come back, beat the Pacers, the reason the number looks the way it does at that minus six, whatever it was, is because it voids. If the matchup doesn’t happen, you get your money back. If you want to invest though in the if you if you want to invest in the exact though meaning if the matchup doesn’t happen, you just flat out lose. You get a much better number. If you look at OKC to beat Indiana regardless of number of games, just Thunder to beat Indiana. It’s more in the neighborhood of -250. You get a considerably better number. And I believe like that’s going to happen. So I would rather just risk the loss. Meaning you know either the Pacers win the series obviously or the Knicks get to the series and it’s moot at that point. But it’s not moot because you’ve lost your money. I would rather invest in that just because nobody’s laying -620. You could justify -250. You know, the series spread. I could talk myself into that. Minus one and a half. I don’t want to go near the minus two and a half because as I said before, I think the Pacers are absolutely a team capable of pushing that series to six. What I would rather do, looking at those odds there on my screen, you know, I’ve talked about this before with other series. I would rather put some money on both OKC and five and OKC and six. They’re both plus two whatever they were. You know you’re you’re going to come out ahead regardless as long as obviously one of those bets comes to fruition I think that’s a better way to approach it than necessarily leaning into a series spread. Because if you know it does happen to go seven games, you lose the minus one and a half. If you know if it goes six, you lose the minus two and a half, that type of thing. I could talk myself into the minus one and a half because I really don’t think it goes seven, but handling it the other two ways, probably the first way that I would approach it, I, I just again, it’s the only thing in my mind. And I said this about the Celtics last year throughout that title run, the only thing that’s slowing down this freight train, which is historically good by so many different measures statistically, is injury. Celtics avoided any significant problems last year. Throughout the postseason. They cruised. They ran away with the rest of the NBA. And I think the Thunder are going to do the same thing this year. So long as SGA Jaylen Williams, these most important players can stay on the floor. I give Indiana a better shot. I’m surprised that those numbers that they’re giving you, you know, total games in the series is five and a half. You know it’s two and a half. As I mentioned OKC in order to get it down to basically even money -105. So in other words they’re saying they’re winning at five. That’s that’s the bottom line I don’t know. You don’t think Indiana can win two games. I think they can. I like I think the I think the Pacers can win two. But again then you’re talking about OKC and six. Then you’re talking about OKC minus one and a half. Like these are these are still bets that I’m comfortable making. You know I just said it I would I would sprinkle OKC in five I’d sprinkle OKC in six or even put full units on either one. I don’t think the Pacers win three. I don’t think the Pacers win four. Right. 14 playoff series so far this postseason we saw. I’ll skip the games that were close. So game seven between the Nuggets and Clippers a game that Denver won by 19 points. And it wasn’t nearly that close. It was like 40 at points during that game until the Clippers bench went on a run to close out the game after Denver didn’t care anymore. You had the Thunder beat the Nuggets in Game seven. In the last round by 30 some points this game. Obviously the Thunder are now doubling up the Timberwolves other side of the bracket. Cavaliers in a sweep of the heat. They win game four by basically 50 points. You had in fact was it worse than that I think it was 55 even. You had the Celtics crushed the magic by 31 in the first round in their decisive game. And then the Celtics obviously losing by about 30 to the Knicks in their decisive game. You know and now like it’s I mean that’s six out of 14 series basically half the postseason where backs against the wall season on the line pride at stake at the very least and you know show I mean what a I love the NBA as much as anybody else got. And just I can’t remember a time in the playoffs when the product was this gross, when there was such a true lack of parity from series to series. Yeah. By the way, Florida just scored two goals in 30s. They tied up. Come on, let’s go. Panthers! Yeah. Rodriguez. Nice. But yeah I mean that that’s why I pointed out, you know with the fan base all these teams you know I, I laid it out as well before it just that every fan base out there outside of the Grizzlies who didn’t have a prayer and maybe Orlando that didn’t have a prayer against the Celtics. They all went home upset. Not because they didn’t necessarily win the championship, but just how their teams just laid over just died in these critical game fives. It’s just it’s remarkable. You got they’re closing in on a 30 point lead. Thunder 55 2720. I’m not sure what I’m more amazed with the 28 point lead or only 27 points for Minnesota. With 2.5 minutes left to go in the first half. I mean, that that’s just embarrassing. Just I mean, you want to tell me about how Anthony Edwards is so good? Really three three for nine. He’s got five rebounds. Give him the nine points Randall eight points. At least they finally put Terrence Shannon Jr in. He’s a bucket. He’s just a flamethrower off the bench and microwave. He’s got five in his eight minutes taking three shots. Hit two of them. But yeah I mean this is like it was Justin earlier when he was on with us talking about how like you know, Jaden McDaniels, Mike Conley, Nickeil Alexander-walker may as well throw in Donte DiVincenzo just naming the role players right. The role players have to do something. And generally that’s true. But I feel like that’s more true in home situations on the road, especially with your season on the line like your best players got to be your best players man. And not right now Randall. Not and I just I mean like please I the games on ESPN. Can I tune into Sportscenter after the game or watch first take in the morning and hear him eviscerated? Probably not. Because all the talking heads over there are want to do nothing but praise this guy. But I just I like I don’t even dislike Anthony Edwards. I am just I the state of the you know, former player driven media right now that wants to just praise guys up and down who have never won anything. And I don’t understand it. I appreciate somebody like Charles Barkley on the other side who like famously, obviously he’s one of the best basketball players of all time, but famously and gets ragged on it on a daily basis by Shaq, hasn’t won a championship or didn’t win a championship in his NBA career. He’s the only one calling out and I’m getting choked up just thinking about it. He’s the only one calling aren’t out for like, what are we doing face of the NBA? Shay Jokic Giannis like guys who have rings. Guys who have rings. It takes someone who doesn’t have a ring to recognize that to be in the face of the conversation you know face the lead conversation. You need to have a ring. You need to be part of a certain club. Like Anthony Edwards is 23 years old. He’s a superstar. He’s one of the best players in the league. And maybe one day he gets his ring. But right now, like, why are we trying to crown guys right now? As you know, at a at a certain level versus guys that have already accomplished something or at least are on the precipice of it. Like people don’t want Shay, who’s the MVP this year. He is one of the best players in the world. He is a top five player in the NBA, and he’s not the face of the NBA. And it’s fine if you don’t want to say he is because you like Jokic or Giannis or somebody like that. As Barkley brought up, Edwards isn’t even on the list. He’s not even in consideration. And yet another Italy not for the team kind of getting late for the team. But I guess relative to the game it’s early for the players. This is feeling like yet another important no show performance out of Anthony Edwards. And I just it’s gross. It’s indefensible. Yeah I mean listen he is only 23. But in the NBA world it’s crazy as it sounds. That’s not that young. He’s been in the league five years you know so he’s got another good ten don’t get me wrong. But you know 23 can be a little misleading. I mean he’s been in the league you know five years and that that’s you know, are you going to get really that that I mean maybe maybe are you are push back on that like in the NBA. I mean this isn’t the NFL where like a lot of the time you’re out of the league by 2324 in the NBA, you know, your prime years generally start at 2627. So I absolutely think he’s going to get better. But you know and this it’s just it’s not even this is not indictment of Anthony Edwards year after year. And what he accomplishes in the regular season. It’s what he’s doing in the playoffs. His team can get to a certain level, a certain stage as it has the last couple of years. It’s not easy to make the Final Four, but what he’s doing when he gets there, not enough, just not enough. If you want to be that guy. Yeah, I like the fact that, you know, they were giving him an excuse because he only took 13 shots in game four and while they were double teaming him and they had two guys running at him all the time, and I’m saying to myself, yeah, exactly. That’s why regular season numbers are so phony and so inflated. I mean, the notion of having a double team, oh my God, he’s by far not even close. Your best player. And you know, you know, OKC is doing something crazy by actually double teaming him. Every high school coach in the world, Topeka High, would be double teaming the opposing team’s best player. But in the NBA, they don’t do that. It’s a dare league. I dare you to shoot. You hit okay, great. Congratulations. We’re not going to put two guys on you. The NBA head coach is the dumbest head coach in all four sports by far. Not even close. Not not even close. They’re as dumb as a box of rocks, Adam. So. And that’s why these guys can put up 27, 28, 30 points in a regular season. They get all the hype. They look like the greatest things in the world because no one’s trying in a regular season. And then they get exposed. The Julius Randle’s and the Anthony Edwards, these guys get exposed, the Karl Anthony Towns, they get exposed to the postseason when teams and players are actually trying. They were I was actually going, wow, these guys got a great chance to win. And maybe they’ll have some confidence and go in in Florida and wow, things have changed pretty damn quick. But they’ve been really good. But that’s the difference. Like you, you got to go up three in hockey. The two goal lead. You give them hope man. That’s the problem. You got to go up 3 or 4. You got to break their will. That’s the whole thing. Two goal leads mean nothing. It actually wakes up the other team. It’s like a slap in the face. I got to tell you Anderson was awesome in the first period. He looks like a train wreck right now. Carolina needs to score in this power play. Guys, I’m going down with the ship. You know me, I had 7 to 1 for them to win two games. And obviously like what am I going to do here. But plus one and a half I’m in on it. I don’t think this game is over, but the way their goaltender is playing makes me a little bit nervous. I am nervous NBA basketball 206 and a half. Can we get there? It’s all about Minnesota. It doesn’t happen in this tournament because when you’re playing with the Golden Bear and he’s there with Barbara watching, it’s kind of like, you know, the best players in the world tend to show up because they understand it might not be a major, but it’s a big deal to win the Golden Bears tournament. Hideki Matsuyama has won this tournament before. Also multiple top tens and fives. He loves Jack 38 to 1. What does he do? Well, he hits the ball straight. It’s all about his putter. Shane Lowry the exact same type of player Shane Lowry beautiful driver of the golf ball. One of the best iron players. Can we get the flat stick rolling. We’ll talk at 40 to 1. Dangerous Denny McCarthy has been knocking on the door. He lost in a playoff in this tournament before 55 to 1. And it’s not a corn on the cob eating contest because if it was this guy’s a lock every week. His teeth are long and sharp. But Matthew Fitzpatrick a great track record at Muirfield with multiple top fives and tens. I’m going to take the little Brit at 60 to 1 guys. I’m playing a few less guys this week for the top ten and 20. I’m just going to have a little bit more fun because I’m betting on French Open and you know, my addiction to Australian horse racing. Do we have the placements guys? Top ten Collin Morikawa love him. Carver has him out right this week I’m just going to take the top ten because he struggled a little bit. But you know what he is for a first round leader 12 to 1 that I’m just saying that’s the way that’e way Carver’s attacking it. He’s like, I’m not betting him outright. I can take him in a matchup or I’ll take him in the first round at six times the odds. I’m going to lay off, by the way, Kaufman. Scheffler made a big run there in that tournament at 30 to 1. And then he kind of faded a little bit there. He got real close like it was a very smart bet, but he just ran out of gas. But 30 to 1. When you get that guy you got to get out there man. Oh man. He was on page one going into the final round. Yeah. Going into the final round he was like 10 to 1. Like we had gotten value in the number for sure. Just didn’t come home. And I was kind of wishing I’d just taken him for, you know, top five instead. Yeah. That’s what I tend to do. The top fives and tens more guys because only one guy wins. But I love first round leaders. Tommy Fleetwood always comes out of the gate really hot. 40 to 1 Aaron Rai. This guy screwed me in a golf survivor pool. There was only four people left. And I don’t know how much attention they’re going to be paying to the baskets at this point, but they got a couple of late baseball games that will keep you guys happy and hopefully make some money. On 6532 is your halftime score. Believe it or not, Oklahoma City by 33 and the number is 32.5. I mean, it’s one thing to lose by 33, but to be down 33 at half time really takes some doing. I don’t know, you know these numbers, Adam I love playing halftime lines. It’s the name of the show right in game live. But I do you trust anybody. I mean you know points wise for Minnesota I don’t know if they’re going to pull their starters. I don’t know if you can trust OKC guys because they’re going to be up 3040. They those guys would get pulled I don’t know where you go with this one to tell you the truth Anthony Edwards has nine points in his life. Line of 16.5 I’d I’d be comfortable going there laying the -122 I if he doesn’t get to 17 points in a game that his team is down 30 some facing elimination. You know, I’m not sure SGA gets the ten more to get to 30 at this point, because I just don’t know how much OKC starters are going to play in the second half if it keeps going like this. But I have to believe, like I look, I don’t want to do it. I’m not going to do it. But if you felt
% compelled to bet aside, taking the Timberwolves with the points is the right side to be on. I don’t see how Minnesota doesn’t make a run. I’m not saying a run to, you know, get within 20 even necessarily and make it a game and put anything in doubt. But just a run to where OKC takes its foot off the gas. Maybe you get more of the reserves in the second half. Maybe it’s just a strong finish and you get in that way. But it’s a 32.5 is a huge number, a huge number. When you got a team on the other side playing for a season, I think Minnesota finds a way to, you know, maybe lose by 25, maybe lose by 22. I think they do make a run. And Anthony Edwards is going to have to be a part of that early on. I mean, Julius Randle would be another one in that same category. He has eight points 12.5. You need five more out of him. You know if you if you’re looking at anyone right now it has to be the Minnesota side because those starters Chris Finch maybe I’m wrong, but I don’t think he just waves the white flag at the end of three quarters and they just it’s over. Unless at that point they’re down by, you know, 45 points if they can get this thing to within 25, close to 20 by the end of the third, their starters are going to keep playing for a little while. And it’s an opportunity, obviously, for those guys to put up points. You know Jaden McDaniels has three. His lifeline is six and a half four more points. That’s another one that I would consider. Naz Reid has four seven and a half. He needs four more points like it’s crazy how low all of these numbers are. Unless you’re afraid of the, you know, the blowout getting worse. And I don’t know, given what the books are trying to tempt you into placing the bet, I get it, but these are pretty appealing numbers on the Minnesota side right now. Yeah. Trying to see real quickly what they were down. Here we go. They were down against Denver last year. They were down 15 at halftime. You know without getting into the play by play they were down 15 at halftime last year in a game seven. And what about the end of three I don’t yeah three was only one. It was a one point game. I thought it was a little bit more than I thought. They made their big comeback in the fourth quarter. But no they they made it in the third quarter. So unless Denver went back up again and maybe that that’s what happened. Maybe that’s what I’m remembering. But ultimately Minnesota wins 9890. The lower scoring game. I can’t help but think Finch is at least bringing that up, right. You know he’s got to do something. Some kind of you know, Newt Rockne, you know, one for the Gipper speech here. Hey, remember last year, guys, when we were down double digits at the half, we came back? I agree, I mean, they got to make some run, right? I mean, they can’t possibly just roll over. I would be more confident with the points than I would the point spread. Maybe they make a run and then eventually OKC ends up winning by 40. But for Anthony Edwards not to get eight more points in this game and Randall not five more. Those were the two. Look at Rudy Gobert’s one and a half for Justin Perry. He’s having a tough couple of days. He led the overrun on Gobert’s points you know. But those two -166 for him to get a bucket. Yeah you would think he’d get two points right. One stinking bucket. You never know. You never know. But I’ll go with Edwards. I don’t trust him. Believe it or not. No, but it’s true. Like if you. If you did it. How about this? If you did. Edwards. Over 16.5. Randall.
