  1. Mark, serious question and maybe you can help explain and show the difference with a video. I've played blades my whole life. Recently as I'm over 60 now I bought a set of "forgiving" clubs. Fitting is not possible where I live but standard length, lie, grip regular shaft, is what I play and I am sure a fitting would come out at anyway. The problem I have is the offset, my blades MP69s basically have zero offset whereas the "forgiving" irons I bought the offset is significant. My swing is from the inside, sometimes too much, I am definitely not a slicer or over the top. I hit draws as a standard shot but with the offset clubs I'm hitting everything to the right and unless I really exagerate my hands it doesn't draw. So the question is, Are offset irons designed to be anti slice rather than for people like myself who have an inside to out swing? Also I like Srixon so what Srixon irons would you recommend I'm currently index 4.9 and I don't like offset but am looking for an iron with more forgiveness?

  2. I went to see a local pro to get fit for ZXi5’s. During testing I was liking a particular shaft and was flushing it, then realised he had given me a ZX7 7 iron. His recommendation was to go ZXi5 from 5,6,7 and ZXi7 8,9,P,A. I’m a 20 handicap but hit the ball pretty well. I was surprised at his recomendation and have ordered what he recommended. After reading a lot of comments of people saying the 7’s are for low handicappers only I was worried. Good to see you say this is for a low to mid because I feel I can play as a mid handicapper. Hopefully fitted shafts etc see me striking the ball better anyway!

  3. I do a ton of fitting and so many players that wanted the 7s, needed the 5s. The 7s are very low spin and moderate swing speed players can have trouble getting these in the air properly. Very often my split set players come back and fill out their sets with the rest of the 5s. Love both sets, but these are lower spin than the MKIIs and it shows in the data.

  4. 55yr old player went for a fitting today asked if we could start with the zxi7 to so I could cross it off the list, fitter gave me the zelos 8 regular shaft I was only swinging 81-82mph 7 iron , so so easy to carry 150-155 didn’t even try the zxi5 ( that I thought I would be fitted to ) beat my Mizuno pro 245 with every shot , modus 115 stiff all pulls left , zxi7 3 degrees more loft & a couple of yards longer . Who’d of thought a lightweight shaft would help so much

  5. I'm a mid handicap player and I thought for sure I was going to get the ZXi5. Ended up with the ZXi7. I have never struggled with getting the ball airborne despite a moderate swing speed. I just have always played a more flexible shaft with a lower kick point. I was playing Apex 21s. For comparison the 21s fit right between the ZXi5 and ZXi7.

  6. I went for a club fitting and ended up with these irons. I currently play TaylorMade P770 but these feel and sound so much nicer in my opinion. They also blend amazingly well. I went with ZXi5 4-7 iron and ZXI7 8-PW.

  7. What do u think about playing the combo set of 4-6 ZXI5 and the. 7-PW in ZXI7? Then how do they pair with KBS $ taper stiff shafts?
