The Mizuno Tour X was one of the most fun and greatest test I have ever done. I am excited two years later to be doing the brand new model of Mizuno golf balls, the Pro series. How does the Mizuno Pro S and the Mizuno Pro X compare to some of big names out there such as Titleist and TaylorMade? Let’s dive in and find out.

Hey, what is up my fellow golf ball addicts? Welcome back to the channel. Today we are doing Mizuno’s new 2025 lineup of Tour Balls, which of course is going to be the Tour S and the new Tour X. Let’s dive right [Music] in. Guys, as always, I appreciate the liking, the commenting, the subscribing. the channel continues to grow and I truly feel blessed. Thank you all very much. I appreciate it. Please keep it up. It helps the algorithm. If you’re not subscribed, we’d love to have you here. We have all kinds of great content and I can’t wait to produce even more. So, um, you know, when it comes to Mizuno, a lot of golf ball addicts who have been on the channel for a while know that I had a soft spot for Mizuno a while. And one of the main reasons I did was because the previous generation of the Xolf ball was one of my favorite tests of all times. Uh, when I hit that golf ball, my face lit up. I mean, it had this bouncy ball explosiveness to it. And in reality, I really had no business playing it based on what Mizuno said, but the numbers were just too good to pass up. I mean, record-breaking with the driver, you know, excellent seven iron numbers, great spin, all kind. I mean, that that ball really was a top 15, top 20 golf ball, and that was reflected in our top 100 list a couple of times. So, love that golf ball. Was kind of sad to see it go, but you know what? I hopefully there’s some improvements here and hopefully this model is for the better. So, we’ll find out. So, so let’s talk about these golf balls real quick. If you notice this from Mizuno, as it says right here, these are actually two golf balls that are very, very close to one another. They have the same amount of dimples. Uh, they actually have uh, you know, really the same type of, you know, short game spin and mid-ir spin, things like that. The main two differences that Mizuno promises is that the S model is going to be very soft for people who prefer a very soft feel. And the X model is more of a medium, you know, compression, more of a medium feel. And also the X model is going to have some more driver spin. That’s really the only two differences I could find on the website. So they are very very close in how they’re manufactured. It’s not like a lot of other companies where one’s an X model and it’s low low spin. It’s all about distance and the other one’s all about spin and high flight. Nothing like that here. This is two golf balls that are designed to be very close. It’s more about fitting than it is about, you know, specific, you know, being different, if that makes sense. So let’s start with the design and let’s start with the S model. Looking at this on the front there, it says Mazuno Pro and then has the little tiny Mazuno logo and the number. And you know, I got to be honest, I I’m not a big fan. Um I think the previous model of just having the Mazuno logo was so much better. This is what it looks like. The reason I like that so much better is because I think Mizuno’s logo is just the tops. I really do. Like it is the bee’s knees. I I maybe it’s just iconic for me because I played baseball growing up and I always had a Mizuno glove and so I love that big logo. Um I’m also my golf ball addicts will know I like a big logo in general. I don’t like a lot of words on there ming it up. I just think it looks bad. Why put the Mizuno Pro lettering on there? It just doesn’t make sense to me. I think that they should just make the nice big Mazuno logo. You know, maybe you could just do the Mizuno logo and put Pro underneath it or something, but this is just too much. I I I don’t like it at all. Coming around to the side, you’ll see the alignment tool. Now look, am I a big fan of arrows? No. Do I like, you know, the thin lines and having it transparent underneath? No. But it is better than their last version, which this is their last version. And as you can see, I hated that because some of the font was big, some of the font was small. It was basically useless. This isn’t useless. It’s just almost useless for me. So, it is an improvement. So, I got to give them some credit there. Uh, dimple pattern kind of giving off some Bridgestone vibes a little bit, but it looks good. Uh, the coating on the outside feels pretty good. It feels premium like you premium urethane which is good. So you know I understand they were trying to rebrand. Mizuno has been trying to really establish themsel as a uh you know a player in this game for a while and I understand why they’re trying to make changes and come better. But I I just think putting Mazuno Pro on there is not good. I think that was a step backward ultimately. But hey, we’ll check out the performance. I do want to talk about the price real quick as well. So, Mizuno actually had a really good price point before of $42 a dozen, but as you can see there, this has now changed. They are $47.99 a dozen. Uh, which is still a good bargain for a tour ball, but that’s still definitely up there. I mean, that’s going to definitely, you know, cause some people to not buy it because Mizuno just doesn’t carry that kind of name yet. But, I will say right now they are running buy 2 get one free, which is a great deal. I don’t know how often they run that. I don’t know if that’s a continuation thing or if it’s just, you know, shortterm. But if they run that often, it’s a really good deal. If they don’t run that often, it’s okay, you know, but still good when it comes to the realm of tour balls. It’s probably the cheapest tour ball you can probably get. So, I don’t know. I have mixed feelings about it, but overall, that’s a good price. So, let’s go ahead and get out to the chipping and putting green and let’s see how it does around there. All right. Going to start with the S first. Let’s see what we’re rocking with here. Awesome. Wow. Really clean. Nice little crisp sound. I absolutely love the checkup. I mean, that was a perfect strike, but still, that’s that’s incredible. I love to see it. Let’s keep it going. That is clean. Yeah. I mean, just consistent checkup every single time. That was actually a little bit of a misit, and it still had pretty much the same checkup. I love that. Let’s run it back. Low spinner. Wow. Just just so much bite. I’m going try to get one to go left here. Yeah. Yeah. Some serious bite on that ball. Wow. A cut. I mean, guys, it’s It looks like a pond out here in the middle of the, you know, in the middle of the night. I mean, oh my gosh. more bite than a snake pit in an Indiana Jones movie. I mean, seriously, like I it just there’s so much bass effect. If you open it, you get a a really harsh turn to the right. If you close it, you get a harsh turn to the left. This is awesome. It’s been a long time since I’ve seen a golf ball with this much control and feel and bite on wedges. Like, that’s refreshing. Okay, so yeah, a little bit more lengthy of a test there with the S, but I was just I was having too much fun, guys. I’ll be real with you. Uh this is the X. Let’s see how this one does. Definitely louder. Oh my goodness. Even more bite. That thing shot left. I mean, it shot left. I had the face too closed. Wow. So, this one not as forgiving. If you mishit this one, it just has a firm release and rolls off the back of the green. But if you hit it correctly, boy, it has a lot of bite and it’ll jump left and right. I want to do some more testing with that X model for sure. So, like I said, the X model has a click. It’s definitely a firmer press in the hands. It doesn’t feel heavy or anything like that. It actually comes off the club beautifully. It’s just got that click that an X model golf ball normally would. Yeah, guys, it really just the spin is there. There is as much spin as the regular S. The problem is the forgiveness. If you mishit it, there’s just no spin. It rolls off the back. Whereas the S, even when I slightly mishit them, I still got some decent spin. So, that’s that’s the big thing I’m noticing. I’m going to try to get this one to go left. Oh, yeah. Absolutely. Yeah. No problem at all. Get in the hole. Not bad. Yeah. I I like I think the X is going to be for an advanced golfer for sure. I’m having some trouble. This one’s not as fun as the S. Let’s hit this cut. Yeah. I mean, if you hit it clean, like I said, that bass effect’s there, but uh not bad. But yeah, that’s for an advanced golfer. The S is what us golf ball addicts are going to use. So, first up, we have our mallet heavy putter. This is the S. Let’s see what we’re rocking with [Music] here. Not bad. Just didn’t give it enough. Very soft and buttery. It definitely has a buttery feel coming off. Um, not a lot of click, not a lot of sound. Okay, cool. Uh, true roll on both of those is a 10 out of 10. I’m going to definitely make sure here. But that ball, I mean, as you guys can hear, there was no chug effect. I mean, that straight up was just butter from the moment it left the putter all the way to the hole. So, I love that. Not a loud click. It feels soft. It feels great. Not bad there. A little bit of a mishit. I pulled it. Yeah. I mean, considering how bad of a mishit that was, I I do want to run that back again. Yeah, it doesn’t have a ton of bouncy ball off. I mean, it’s not like I hit it. It’s actually got a very, very, very true roll. One of the truest rolls I’ve seen in a while. So, that’s really good to see. Butter, butter, butter, butter. Love it. Yeah, absolutely love it. I don’t need to see any more of that. Bye-bye. Get in there. All right. So, now the X model with the mallet. I expect there to be a click. Let’s see how this one feels. Again, short, not a lot of bouncy ball, but a nice little firm crisp. I love that. The sound is excellent. It’s not obnoxious, and the feel again is great. And what I also love is 10 out of 10 roll on that one. We’re gonna verify that with this one right here. I hope it’s the same. It’s beautiful, guys. This both of these golf balls have a fantastic roll. I mean, that is beautiful. Goodness gracious. I love it. One more time. I’m going try to get my arms more extended here so I don’t use my wrist as much. Complete misit. Doesn’t matter. That’s still excellent. Even on a complete mishit, the rolls a nine out of 10. And that’s when you completely goof it up. So, both of these golf balls have a 10 out of 10 roll when it comes to the mallet. The sound, I mean, it’s it’s just really close to perfect. I hate to say that, but it just it is. Both of these golf balls really feel like they’re polished, cleaned up, professional. Um, you know, it it just it’s like the guy at the board meeting when you’re like, he should be the CEO. You know, he’s professional. He’s young. He’s clean. Everything’s great. That’s what this reminds me of. I love it. Let’s try the blade putter. All right. So, now we have our old Odyssey blade putter. More traditional. Definitely interested. See how this one goes. Again, really soft and buttery. No sound at all. Despite the fact I’m using, you know, a blade putter, there’s no, you know, click at all. It does offer some feedback in the hands, which is nice. Oh boy, that’s beautiful. I love that. Wow. I missit. I pulled it. It let me know, but just in the most subtle way. 10 out of 10. True roll. Great feel. 10 out of 10 feel. I love it. I I don’t have anything negative to say. you know, that that S model I it’s been a while since I’ve seen a green performance like that where basically, you know, I I it’s top tier when it comes to chipping, top tier when it comes to blade, top tier when it comes to mallet. It’s been a while. That’s that’s refreshing. But we’re not done. We still have this X and I’m interested to see. I wonder if it’s going to have a click. No, it doesn’t, guys. It feels a lot like the S. Wow. I mean, I expected it to be really clicky and it’s just not. It’s soft and it’s buttery and the roll is great. I mean, that was a mish hit and it’s still, like I said, nine out of 10 roll. Yeah, just incredible. I I mean, I got to give Mazuno some credit there. Greenside, I haven’t got to the performance numbers yet, but green side, that is some top tier stuff. It’s been a while since I’ve seen something that good. Either of those golf balls, I would game around the green. Like I said, with the X though, chipping very punishing when it comes to mis hits. The S model, on the other hand, gave me a little more forgiveness. I like that one. But when it comes to putting, both of them are just top tier and and really some class stuff. So, good to see. So, when it comes to the S model, um, it actually feels really good on pure hits. It’s close to a five out of five, but it’s not quite. I’d give it a four out of five on pure hits. M hits are a three out of five. It’s not bad. It definitely lets you know. It does feel like it doesn’t come off as hot, so we’ll have to check those performance numbers, but it feels like it has a lot more tour level type feel and responsiveness opposed to the previous generation of Mizuno balls. They were more like value tour, which I liked. I liked the bouncy ball effect. I liked all that. Um, I’m getting ready to hit the X’s, which this is what I’m really interested in because, as I said before, the X models were, you know, top of the I mean, top 15 golf ball for two years on the channel. So, we we love that one. So, let’s see what they’ve done. Yeah, definitely bouncy ball effect is gone. But, I got to say that one was pured and it felt great. I felt like I had a lot of pop, a lot of power, close to grunting level. I’ll talk about that in just a second, but I mean, not not quite there. Let’s try another one. Oh, yeah. That’s uh Yeah. So, the grunting level I talked about is when, you know, we’ve all been through it, but you hit a golf ball really good and it feels great and I mean, you just know you pure it and you kind of get that like Tim Allen, you know, the you know, that kind of thing. That’s how I feel. Um, it’s it’s really good. Um, I actually think I prefer the X model feel a little bit. I don’t know if I’ll prefer the numbers, but the feel is great. I haven’t hit one bad yet. Oh, yeah. Okay, there we go. Actually, not bad. That was a mishit. I like it a little bit [Music] better. Let’s go ahead and do the 50 yard pitch backspin RPM. Starting with the S model, we are looking at 8,133, which is above average. I love to see it. And then look at that Mazuno Torx, baby. Spin, spin, spin. 8328. That is an excellent number of checkup. Um, both of these golf balls being uh urethane. Both of them having that level of spin. Both of them are going to have not only some amazing checkup, but I imagine they’re going to have a little bit of ripback, too. So, excellent. I can’t say anything more about that. Let’s get into the pitching wedge. Now looking at the pitching wedge, we have 127.5 for the regular Mazuno. That’s a gain of 6 yards. That is significant. Uh the X, as you can see there, 120.7. So a loss of about half a yard. So not bad. 127.6, 121 on total. As you can see with the S, I did swing a little fast, so you got to keep that in mind. But seven yards is still seven yards. So you know, even if I only gained four or five with a normal swing speed, that’s still significant. So I don’t hold it against it. Ball speed with the S is just bonkers. 99.5. I love to see that. You know, average there with the X model. So, the X model’s just kind of checking the boxes. Nothing wrong with that. Uh 7,03 on the spin. So, actually an average number of spin for the S, but a massive increase in ball speed and in distance. So, that’s really good to see. 7,71 again, a mid spin from both of those golf balls. Not bad. 1.25 on your smash factor and 1.21. One of those is incredible and one of those is just slightly below average. 25.3, 25.2, they basically have the same launch, which I kind of said that before. Uh, these golf balls aren’t that much different. It’s just really how they play. You know, it’s not supposed to be different in launch trajectories or anything like that. So, look, the X model checks the boxes. Okay, that’s fine. Okay, that’s fine. Yep. Okay, that passes. The S model is pretty significant. Uh, I know I swung a little fast. I don’t care. Those numbers are I mean I think that’s like the best numbers I’ve seen so far with the pitching wedge as far as distance and also still getting that spin and a nice high launch. So wait a minute. Hold on a second. You’re telling me I’m getting insane ball speed. I’m also getting insane distance. I’m getting a little higher of a flight as well and I get a ton of spin on ripback also. That sounds like having your cake and eating it too. And we know here at Golf Ball Addict that when you have your cake and you eat it too, you end up high on the list for recommendations. So off to a great start with that S model. Let’s get into the 7iron now. And we are looking at 164 and 162.4. So that’s average and just slightly above average. Uh 165.1 and 163.6. So, you know, pretty close there and not bad. Both of those numbers are acceptable. Uh 85 swing speed. So I swung a little fast again with the Mazuno S. Uh so just kind of keep that in mind. All that’s kind of average probably then 116.5 116.3. Again, really, really close between the two models, but they’re both above average, so that’s good. 5702 on the Spin with the S, 5834 with the X. Both of those are well above average, and both of those are going to have some ripback with a 7iron. I love to see that. 1.37 smash factor, which is just slightly below average. And then 1.38 is my average. 19.5, so a high launch with the seven. That’s probably a little higher than I would want. Uh 18.8, and that’s going to be a high launch as well. So, they both launch high. So, those numbers maybe aren’t as eyepopping uh as the pitching wedge numbers, but they both check the boxes. Uh I love the spin. Getting a ton of spin like that is awesome. You’re going to be able to check up on the green. The distance numbers weren’t great. But again, you’re getting extra spin, so you got to take off some of the distance there because it is going to kind of balloon. But, you know, if you’re not on a championship course and you don’t need a low spin distance golf ball, this right here would be perfect for a lot of you who require that spin and require that checkup. the high launch, you know, if you have to keep it out of wind, it might get you in some trouble, but if wind’s not really a factor, you’re getting a nice high launch with a lot of spin. I think this golf ball is going to impress a lot of people with how much bounce and bass effect you see on the green. So, that’s awesome. So, nothing bad there. I mean, not as great as the pitching wedge, but we’re on a really good roll here. Let’s top it off with the driver. Getting into these numbers, we have 232 with the S, 233.1. Those are gains on both. I love to see it. 239.8. That’s awesome. I mean, 239.3, those are just neck and neck. I love how close these golf balls are. The swing speeds right there are close. Both at 97. Uh 142.3 and 142.5. Again, really close. I love it. And then look, exactly what Mazuno had said. 2266 with the um spin with the S, which is slightly above average, but then 2437. It definitely spins more with the driver. Um that that’s really interesting there. I launch. Look at the launch with the X model. 19.4. Holy cow. So, these are two high launching golf balls that really spin a lot. Uh, for better or for worse, you know, so not everyone’s going to want that spin on the driver, but they spin a lot. They do kind of as advertised, you know. They spin a lot. They launch high. They’re very close. The ball speeds increase. They have a really great feel. Uh, I mean, I gained distance. I gained five yards with the driver on both clubs. They’re very close. Um, I think the driver numbers are eyepopping and I think the pitching wedge numbers are eyepopping and I even think the 50-yard pitch is maybe not eyepopping, but I mean it’s really good and so it’s really close. So I would call that an excellent performance from both golf balls. I love to see that. So even though there’s been changes made and even though I’m just an average golfer, they seem to be working really well. So we’re off to a great start. And really quick with the driver now, anytime we get a nice tour ball like this that is firmer and it’s kind of meant for faster swing speeds, I like to do everyone’s favorite segment, which of course is how far will it go? Which this basically, if you’re new here, is where I take a big daddy hack and try to get the most out of the golf ball I can to see if it works for faster swingers and if it has a lot of pop potential. Let’s look at the S first. Check that out, guys. 251.5, 152.7 mph ball speed. Little high on the spin, but hey, come on. I’m swinging out of my shoes here. So, I I love that. So, yes, it does have a lot of pop potential. You know, faster swing speeds are going to be able to crush this ball off the tea. I love to see it. And then if we look at the X model, check out that as well. This was on my first attempt. I was actually really proud of this. 153 ball speed. Again, the spin is high, but you got to understand, I’m swinging out of my shoes. 108 swing speed. I love that. 250 carry. You know, to answer the question, yes, both of these have excellent pop off the club. If you’re a fast swinger and you’re worried about driver distance, I don’t think either of these golf balls is going to be a problem. I know some of you might be concerned about the spin, but honestly, that spin’s only going to account for maybe a few yards. And I think that if you like this golf ball, you’ll give up a few yards for it. But still, awesome pop off the club. Feels phenomenal with that driver, especially when you hit it in the sweet spot. Good stuff. Let’s go ahead and keep it going with some dispersion and accuracy. Let me pull up these charts here, and we’ll take a look at both. We’re going to start with the S, of course. All right. So, looking at uh you know, our accuracy, dispersion, the 50-yard pitch does trouble me a little bit because um you know, accuracy kind of is all over the place and dispersion is you know, as far as consistency is all over the place, just not very good. Um definitely one of the worst I’ve seen this year so far. So, it might be an advanced level ball. It might be for a really advanced golfer, which I am not. Then we get into the pitching wedge, and again, you know, pitching wedge isn’t bad, but it is kind of all over the place. You know, it’s a lot left, it’s a lot right. I imagine this golf ball is going to have some side spin. It’s going to have some workability and that’s something that I don’t need a lot of and as you can see that that’s why I don’t need a lot of it. Um seven iron again, you’ve got, you know, a five right there. That’s really nice. And then you’ve got some pulls which I imagine are from a draw. Um but still not bad there. And then if you look at the driver, um let’s take the three that I pull hooked over there and just ignore those. If we look at the others, the 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 that are right there in the middle. I love that. So that’s great. Um, those are excellent. So, you know, I I would say based on these numbers, you know, it’s it’s probably a three out of five for both for both consistency and accuracy. I will say that this means it’s kind of an advanced golf ball. If you’re someone who’s, you know, a mid handicap, I think you’re going to run into issues with lack of forgiveness on sid spin because, as you can see from those, you turn the face in a little too much and now all of a sudden you’re left to the green. And so, it is meant for a golfer who’s going to be able to bend the ball how they want and has a lot more consistency. If that’s not you, if you’re not that guy, maybe not. Let’s move to the X model. So, again, looking at the 50-yard pitch, we’re running into some issues there. Uh, I like the accuracy a little bit better with this one, but as far as the control, you know, you got to be a really good ball striker and know where your distances are, cuz obviously I am not. Now, guys, let’s look at that pitching wedge for a second. Look right down the line. There’s one push. Ignore the push, but the other one’s just all right there in line. That’s fantastic. I love to see it. And then when you get to the seven iron, you know, it is kind of all over the place, but again, you’ve got, you know, five or six that are right there in the middle that are just darts. So, I love to see that. And then when you get up to the driver, again, it is kind of spread out, but it is very consistent. So, I actually think the X model is a little more consistent. Or maybe I just played it a little bit better, but that actually looks really good. Um, for the most part, that’s great. Accuracy, four out of five. You know, um, you know, distance control, again, probably three out of five, not great. I I do think this golf ball again is going to be for more advanced golfer. You know, someone five handicap or lower just based on how you work it. Uh maybe seven or lower somewhere in there. But that’s still really impressive. I love that pitching wedge. That might be the best pitching wedge I’ve seen this year. I mean, that is tight. That is I almost have to zoom in to see it. Oh, I mean, I’m going to frame that. I’m going to put it on my wall. Yeah, great there. So, not bad. They checked the boxes. Definitely means it’s for an advanced golfer, but hey, nothing bad there. So, now let’s go into durability. Let’s start with the S model first. Looking at this golf ball, and unfortunately, this is the first time I have to really harp on Mizuno today. And that’s, as you can see, the golf ball is really shredded in certain locations. There’s a lot of tears. There’s a lot of rips. Um, yeah, some paint scraping off. What really concerns me are the deep deep cuts. Um, don’t like to see that, unfortunately. That’s that’s bad. So, you’re talking this might last you three4s of a round. Now, I know a lot of you are probably going to be like, “Wait a minute. You you hold on to a golf ball for, you know, the whole round?” And yeah, I do a lot of the time, but the thing is, you got to remember this golf ball is going to be for someone who is going to play the same golf ball and only lose one maybe a round. It’s supposed to be for an advanced golfer. So, for me, I think that’s really disappointing. I would call that durability, man. I I think five out of 10 just because the cuts are so deep. You know, if they were just little scratches, that’s one thing. But when you feel them, ouch. It almost hurts your finger because they’re so deep. So, that’s kind of disappointing. Let’s get into the X model now and see this one. And unfortunately, it doesn’t look like this one. Maybe it’s okay. You know, you know what? It’s a little better, but looking there, you can still see the abrasions. You can still see the scratches. Um, you can still see a lot of wear and tear on there. You definitely can’t putt this anymore. It It feels like sandpaper. That’s a 6 out of 10. It’s just slightly better. I really expected more when you up the price. That’s the thing. If you’re going to up the price, if you’re going to keep the price increases coming, I expect there to be a durable cover. I don’t remember having an issue with the old Mizuno covers at all. I don’t think there was a huge durability. I’d have to look, but I don’t think there was a huge durability issue. Um, if I’m wrong, someone can correct me, but I I I definitely don’t remember this. And this is really disappointing from both of them. This this might change things. All right, so is there a market for these golf balls? Well, here’s where it gets tricky, right? Um, if you’re in the market for a good tour ball, um, if you’re someone who’s a fan of Mizuno, yeah, these probably could be worth a try. And, you know, the reason I say probably is, let’s be real, it’s the durability. Um, as far as performance-wise, both of these I love. We have excellent, you know, pitching wed numbers. We have excellent spin. We have excellent driver numbers. Um, you know, I I I could play with either of these golf balls on the course, and I don’t think I would play my best with them, but I would be confident in them. I’d be able to put them down and confidently be able to hit shots and know that I’m going to gain distance and have good consistency. Um, I like them a lot and I think if someone’s an advanced golfer, there’s a lot of things to really like about them. The workability, the the increased good feel, uh, the the responsiveness, you know, the feedback, they’ve really tightened a lot of screws, which I like. But when you get to that durability and you realize you’re going to have to use more than one a round. I mean, if you’re a good golfer, if you’re a great golfer, you’re probably going to have to switch these out, you know, every nine holes. Um, just to make sure that, you know, you’re if you’re playing competitively and you want to make sure the putts are rolling good, make sure, you know, your your flight is good. You probably won every nine holes. And that is kind of a downside. So, I guess the way I would put it is this, right? If you can ignore the durability issues, the S model is awesome. I love it. It’s fantastic. Anyone who swings anywhere from 90 to 110, I think, is going to love it. If you’re that level of a golfer, if you’re that good, if you’re the X model, you know, probably anywhere between 95 and 115, 120, somewhere in there, you know, that’s a broad range, but definitely faster swingers for both, for sure. Uh, but if you can get past the durability, yeah, these are awesome. They have a great performance. They spin awesome. They feel great around the green. I mean, there’s so many things to like, especially if you are a Mazuno fan who uses Mizuno clubs, or you’re someone who’s looking for a pretty good tour ball, but just doesn’t want to spend 60. You know, 45 to 50 you’re okay with, but 60 is just too much. This is an option as well. But for me personally, that durability would be a turnoff and it would probably be a deal breakaker. But whether or not it’s whether or not that’s a dealbreaker for you is up to you. Guys, as always, keep watching, keep saving, keep learning. Bye-bye.

You should cut open balls (at least one) to check on core alignment consistency because when I checked on my mizuno pro s the core of the ball was slightly off centre which could cause the ball not to perform the way it should. Idk maybe an idea you can add to your videos.
Just opened up You Tube and got the notification that you have a new video. Made my morning. I have a unrelated question for you. Do you know what ball Bryson DeChambeau was using in The Masters? Keep up the good work!
I agree on the logo. My dream ball would be a mizuno logo with tp5 white stripe!
Neither is a ball for me, but great review!
Mizuno is a good company. I would be shocked if they do not improve the cover on these. But overall, wow what a performance. They both would have a nice spot in the top 30, with the S flirting with top 15 of the 100 list if the durability was not such an issue. As an old Mizuno fan, the ending of that review must've really bummed you out.
In my quest to find a budget Pro V1x, I kept hearing how durable the X was, and I had similar issues with nicks. I got my hands on the PXG Extreme Tour– hopefully it's more durable.
Literally was waiting for this video to come out. Glad you posted it! 😊
Great review, def not for me but hopefully they keep improving.
great review as always I will have to give them a try.. But that " best daddy by par " drawing is priceless !
Great review as always. Got the notification this morning could not wait for time to watch. Keep it up !
I love the new ball logo. A lot of
Been waiting for this! Knew they’d score well but definitely not got the cleanest look
When are you gonna do the Srixon Z star line up
Yaaaaasssss!! Been waiting to see one about this pair 😅
Glad to see you cleaned off the green prior to filming. It looks much better for the viewer to watch. Thanks. 😊
I switched to these after 20 years of playing pro v’s. I’ve tried other balls but nothing was ever good enough to make the switch. My irons were getting too much spin with the pro v and the pro s fits me perfect. It may just be for me but I would definitely recommend for anyone looking for a new ball. Also for note, it doesn’t get marked up near as much as the old ones did if it clips a tree etc.
Hi Nick, what is it with manufacturers on their new balls? Many are not showing the compression. Strange. Also, Mizuno have gone against the grain with their marketing, what they say the ball will do, it does. Just sorry about the price. A little lower would have helped but, it does seem to be an exceptional ball. I think I could live with the durability for 18 holes. If you had not have tested the ball and given your thoughts, I would have presumed it to be a harder golf ball. Even at the price, I would try and compare to the Inesis 900.
Those chips were dancing on the green for you! I played a Callaway SuperFast today and every chip ran past the hole to the fringe. Distance control was tricky with the putter too.
I watched a video by a fitter on here and he raves about the Mizuno RB Max. Have you tried them?
Another great, honest, informative data driven review from brother Nick! 👍 It was timely, I was just thinking of trying these out the other day. Golf Ball Addict nation rulez!!!🤘
Enjoyed the "Final Thoughts" board on this one!
With the launch angle at 17 degrees with driver you are losing a lot of distance if you got that down to 14 degrees id like to see the distance and spin number. I was launching similar with my 9 degree cobra ltdx max and had to set it to 8 degrees to get a better launch. Maybe you could try a lower lifted driver when you see those launch angles?
Impressive check up by Mizuno!
Thank you! You saved me some money! I was hoping it would be a better ball😢 durability is a big issue when paying that price. I try to get two rounds out of balls if I don't lose them first. I love the prior generation
Have to admit Mizuno are one a few that actually employ professional golf ball engineers & have an R&D team. Unlike Vice, Seed, Legatto, Lazarus and Maxfli.
What up!! That tour X isn't for me, but I have a friend narrowing down balls (tp5X is winning for him) and this is one I was thinking might work well for him. Let's see what you discover.
