Hey everyone, welcome back to the channel. It’s time to dive into all the action from round two of the 2025 Memorial Tournament at Murefield Village Golf Club in Dublin, Ohio. First off, what a day it’s been at Jack Nicholas’s masterpiece Murefield Village. The course is playing tough as always with his fast greens, thick rough, and strategic layout challenging every player in this star-studded field. The $20 million purse and 700 FedEx Cup points for the winner have everyone bringing their agame. But after two rounds, we’re starting to see who’s rising to the top. Leading the pack after round two is Ben Griffin, who’s absolutely on fire. After a stellar 7under 65 in round one, he kept the momentum going with a solid performance today, holding steady at the top of the leaderboard. Griffin’s coming off a win at the Charles Schwab challenge last week, and it looks like he’s carrying that confidence forward. His ball striking has been pinpoint, and he’s navigating the tricky par 3es and parfs like a seasoned pro. Can he keep this up through the weekend? Let me know what you think in the comments. Hot on his heels is Colin Morawa, who’s just a couple of strokes back. Morawa, who won the 2020 Workday Charity Open here at Murefield, posted another strong round today, showcasing his elite iron play. He’s been dialed in on approach shots, which is critical on a course like this, where hitting greens is everything. If he can get the putter to heat up, watch out, Colin could make a serious run. Tied for third and still very much in the mix are Shane Lowry, Keegan Bradley, and Nick Taylor. All sitting at around four under for the tournament. Lowry’s been a fan favorite with his aggressive play, especially after that eagle on the par five seventh in round one. Bradley and Taylor are also hanging tough with Bradley’s short game and Taylor’s consistency keeping them in contention. This leaderboard is stacked and it’s anyone’s game heading into the weekend. Now, let’s talk about the world number one, Scotty Sheffller. The defending champion is still lurking, sitting at two under after a steady but unspectacular round two. Sheffller’s known for turning it on when it matters most. But his putter’s been a bit cold so far. With two rounds left, don’t count him out. He’s got that clutch gene, and we’ve seen him dominate this course before. On the flip side, some big names struggled today. Justin Thomas and Justin Rose, who had tough opening rounds, couldn’t quite find their rhythm in round two either. Thomas, in particular, is in danger of missing the cut after a rough couple of days. It just goes to show how unforgiving Murefield Village can be, even for the game’s elite. A quick shout out to the tournament itself. This is the 50th Memorial Tournament, and it’s a special one. Barbara Nicholas, Jack’s wife, is this year’s honore, the first non-golfer to receive the honor. Her impact on the game and this event is undeniable, and it’s awesome to see her recognized. Weatherwise, it’s been partly cloudy with some breezy conditions today with winds between 10 to 22 m. That’s added an extra layer of difficulty, especially on those exposed greens. Tomorrow’s forecast looks similar, so expect more of the same challenges for moving day. Before I wrap up, let’s talk about what to watch for in round three. Can Ben Griffin hold on to his lead under pressure? Will Morawa or Sheffller make a big move? And who’s your dark horse to climb the leaderboard? Drop your predictions below, and don’t forget to like and subscribe for daily updates throughout the tournament. You can follow all the live action on PGA Tour live on ESPN Plus with coverage continuing tomorrow from 10:45 a.m. Also, check out sites like PGA.com or FlashCore for realtime leaderboards and player scorecards. I’ll link some resources in the description for you to stay locked in. That’s it for today’s round two recap. Thanks for tuning in, golf fans. Hit that notification bell so you don’t miss our next video and let’s keep the conversation going in the comments. Until tomorrow, keep swinging and I’ll see you for moving day at the memorial. Peace out.
