⬇️ Video Description ⬇️

Hi guys, welcome back to the channel and today we have got a big one for you. Tailor Made have decided to bring their putter range into the world of Zero Torque and we’re going to take a look at the Spider ZT putter. Remember, if you like our videos, please hit that subscribe button and tell all your golfing friends. So, we’ve seen this following and seen this area of the golf market and the putter market grow in the recent years. Zero torque. Well, what does it mean? What is zero torque? Well, it’s about the ability of the part to twist. So, golf manufacturers over the previous few years have really worked on what happens when a golf ball hits or or doesn’t hit, should we say, the middle of the face. Now, there are other brands that have produced some really good models. Tailor Made have bought out this putter to compete in that market. Now, as you can see, first instinct is it’s a very nice color. It’s a different color to what they’re used to. Now, my only fear when I see a tailor-made putter and bring they bring something else out into the marketplace. What I can I’m really concerned with is they go away from the one thing that is their number one selling brand and model and almost little mini franchise which is the spider range. This happened to tailor made a few years back. They came away from spider in the traditional design and part of sales flopped. No one really liked it. They came back to it a year 18 months ago and guess what? Sales go up. Everyone loves a spider and sales go up. Now, if you’re Tailor Made and you’re bringing out a new putter, you’ve got to maybe think about that. And I do you know what they have. They’ve what they’ve done is they’ve bought out this model called ZT Spider. And if I unwrap it, they’ve what I can only described as tailor made it. They have pimped it up. It is a stunning look. As you can see, great design. Now, some of these putters, although they perform really well, some of these zero torque putters on the market, in my opinion, are quite ugly. They’re quite cumbersome. This is slick. And what is unbelievably cool with this is it, if you look at it from the top, it looks like a spider. Okay, so they just haven’t put the name on it. They’ve actually incorporated the key features of the spider design into the pattern. Now, they’ve added the pure old technology. So, you’ve got that nice soft face. You’ve got the lines in the face that are going to or the grooves in the face, the lines in the face, the grooves in the face that are going to help the roll of the putter, but this putter looks slick. It looks neat. It looks tidy. You’ve got the superstroke grip. You’ve got the simple alignment aid in there as well. Now, that’s a little bit of feedback from tour, which is this putter has already won on tour. Brian Harmon has won with this putter already. So, that gives it some credibility as well. So, you’ve got two models in this putter. You’ve got the standard head, but you’ve also got the counterbalance as well. Now, for me, immediately you can tell the weight of this thing absolutely, really feels heavy, but you’ve got the two putters. So, let’s have a little put. I’m going to put with a standard. I think I’ll leave the counterbalance one alone for a second. So, like I say, my immediate reaction is the contrast and the way this is designed. It is slick. You’ve got the nice black shaft, the KBS shaft in there. It’s got a little bit of onset about one degree. It allows you to sit the putter. And for some reason, this putter sits perfectly square as soon as you put it down. So, and in essence, it feels like a spider. The beauty of this putter is it’s not trying to do anything different other than be a spider putter with added technology, added help, and help you make more putts and keep that face nice and stable. So, overall, the design looks good. You’ve got three movable weights at the back or underneath, so you can move these weights around to maybe set that putter up how you would want it. It’s retailing at $449. It’s not cheap, but it’s in the ballpark of putters. It’s a bit more expensive than a normal spider putter would be, but I tell you what, it is, from my opinion, it is one of the best looking zero torque putters on the market. And when this thing is released, I think you’re going to see it on the golf courses near you very, very soon. So, the standard head and standard putter feels good. I’m not a big fan of counterbalance personally. Um I mean I can’t but part of the best of times but I think one of the things that is interesting with this count so some of the zero torque counterbalance putters in the market that you kind of have to fiddle about with with that extra extra length in the shaft you’re kind of having to fiddle about where that sits and trying to get it square. This however sits really nicely. It does feel quite heavy. It does feel like you, you know, you got to really make a bit of a movement, but I tell you what, it feels so good off the face. Nice and soft. Great amount of feedback. You get that little click from it as well, which is really, really nice. So, in essence, you’ve got two models, two good-looking heads, two greatl looking putters, tailor made of design. They’ve delayed and delayed this release. It’s come out. They’ve come into the the space of Zero Talk. I think this is probably going to be a game changer and a great way to build on the success of Spider. Certainly one for you to have a go the next time you’re in a golf shop. Guys, thanks very much for watching. I hope that was enjoyable and we look forward to seeing you soon.

  1. Nice review. Do you think this could also suit a player with a slight to moderate arcing stroke? I get along with the original Spider pretty well, although I could use some extra stability controlling the face.
