Earlier this month, Dallas-based Arcis Golf made news by doing what it does: acquiring The Woodlands Country Club from Dallas-based Invited. Last week, Arcis made news by doing something it’s never done before: forming “a first-of-its-kind partnership to create golf-fitness content.”
Arcis Golf—owner and operator of 70 private, resort, and daily-fee clubs across the U.S.—announced a partnership with Logan, Utah-based iFIT, a global leader in connected fitness. iFIT is making its debut in golf programming through the exclusive partnership, with new content to be available on its iFIT platform. iFIT runs on mobile devices and on iFIT-enabled machines including NordicTrack, ProForm, and Freemotion.
iFIT will tap its global network of “master trainers and fitness experts” to help create golf-focused programming at Arcis-owned golf clubs. The result will be added to the mix of iFIT’s immersive content, “enabling users to train anytime, anywhere.”
The partnership means Arcis-branded golf fitness will be introduced to iFIT’s network of over 6 million users. Already known for delivering personalized workouts from “stunning” global locations, iFIT will now feature content set at Arcis’s premier golf courses and fitness facilities equipped with Freemotion product.
Seeing ‘positive impact’

“This global partnership aligns perfectly with the health-and-wellness goals that are so important to our membership,” Blake Walker, founder, chairman, and CEO of Arcis Golf, said in a statement. “The collaboration with iFIT will expand our brand awareness to new audiences as we lead in golf fitness, best-in-class instruction, and technology. We look forward to seeing the positive impact it will bring.”
In 2021, Dallas Innovates looked at why Walker has been called “the Jeff Bezos of the golf industry.” In 2023, Arcis Golf snapped up three of the West’s marquee golf courses. Later that year, Arcis named LPGA Tour player and World No. 1 Lilia Vu as a brand ambassador.
Expecting ‘magic’ from ‘quality content’
As to the iFIT partnership, “the magic will be in the quality of the content,” Walker says.
By combining Arcis’ golf expertise with iFIT’s content platform, the companies aim to create” high-impact golf-fitness programming.” Working together, they will develop golf workouts, performance training, and on-course strategy sessions—produced at Arcis Golf clubs—while also refining iFIT’s marketing to better target golf-focused audiences.
“This partnership positions us to make an immediate and meaningful impact in the fast-growing golf fitness space by partnering with a premier golf and lifestyle brand like Arcis Golf,” saidiFIT Commercial CEO Mark Watterson said in a statement. “Their exceptional portfolio of beautiful golf courses, top-tier facilities, equipped with Freemotion equipment, and industry leadership give us a powerful foundation for long-term success.”
