What can I shoe in a professional golf event? Today we’re at the Rose Ladies Series to find out. [Music] That’s actually [Music] terrible. That’s perfect. Okay, so first hole is a short par four. It’s only 270 y. It’s pretty narrow and there’s a lot of heather up there, so going for the green isn’t really the option. It’s not that windy at the moment, so I think I’ll probably go with fivewood. This is the 1018 patch on the tea. Hannah Holden. [Music] Yeah, quite liked that T- shot. was quite nervous hitting it, but was actually pretty perfect, which is quite rare off the first te to be honest. My heart rate’s about 100. [Music] Thanks. Well, every other round this week I get the first hole. So that’s slight improvement. So bouncy around here. I never like to stop staring at it till the balls literally stop moving. 206 to the middle into the wind. Looks like it’s at the back. Wind of the head. Stay there. Oh, did not have the best bounce. It’s good strike. There’s just quite a bit crosswind up there. I think it’s just right at the green. It’s fine. [Music] Good. Oh, this didn’t release as much as I thought. It’s part five though, so that’s still for birdie. Oh, you didn’t hit it. The pudding grim was so quick. It scared me. That’s a reachable par five. So kind of disappointing, but it also was playing into the wind and it’s very narrow. So you can never go wrong with a par. That’s a nice pin position. 135 143 back. The last was howling off the left. It has to be into the wind. Well, I hit it dead at where I was aiming, so I can’t complain. I was like, I’m not going at that pin cuz I don’t want to be in a bunker if I push it. actually hit that perfectly thin high. So, good clubbing. This course is a bit sneaky cuz like it’s quite a small course surrounded by trees. So, the wind really swirls and you can’t always feel it from where you’re teeing off. So, luckily I’ve played here quite a lot. So, I kind of know like this hole it always plays longer than you think it is. So, I just went up a club. Go on. Yeah. Nice tip. Did you hear that guy in the other course just like screaming in frustration? Hopefully I’ll get to that at any point in this round. Another good part there though. Three is always a great score on a part three. We’ll always take that. And hopefully my pace putting stays like that because we like the tappins. We don’t like having to work hard on the second. Just pausing for a second to give you a chance to hit that subscribe button. And while you’re there, you might as well like this video and drop us a comment about what else you want to see on the channel. That’s perfect. Didn’t think it had reached that bunker in that wind. 66. Basically the same yardage as the first. Oh my god. That was actually terrible. Oh, so quick with the hands through that. That’s it. That was a pretty good chip, but I just You can’t miss it here. Looks good. bit annual. The rest were really good. So, it’s what it is. It’s going to happen. Shh. Oh, I got very nice kick. Helps you can get the ball out the hole. Another three in a par three. Can’t complain. Yeah, I couldn’t tell if it made it or not. It’s a bit too overdrawy. Should probably hit another [Music] I’ve missed the fairway by approximately 15 yards max, maybe 10. And that’s literally unplayable. I’m just concerned if I hit that, I’ll either break my wrist or it won’t move. So, I think I might have to take a drop, which is also quite annoying because I don’t think there’s anywhere I can drop it where I can still have a full swing to the green. All right. Oh, Hannah. I don’t know. That’s gone. Go. That was just impossible. I was trying to play safe, but it was just so hard to get out. 116 wind should be straight down. Don’t really want to go along at this point. Go. Bit tentative. Oh dear. [Music] That’s very good putt from there. Well done. It was really good two put, so we’ll take that. But it was for a triple. Don’t really know what to say. I mean, my drive wasn’t even really that far off. And I was literally trying to chip out, but my chip shot was literally in a hole. I thought it was going to come out so low and thin, and the way it popped up, I just didn’t expect that to happen. So it is what it is. Sadly Back to normal order. That’s it. Wow, that green was quick. Pitched that like at least 15 foot short. It’s gone miles. [Music] Thanks. steadies the ship a bit. Get in. Yeah. Great birdie. [Music] That was nervy after the last one. This is so in between clubs. Please chess. It’s just short. Didn’t quite catch it. And it also needed a big one. I didn’t want to go over the back. Sit. [Music] How has that moved uphill? What the heck? [Music] So annoying. 14. Bit uphill into the wind. Quite a long way. I followed you. That’s so disappointingly right. sit. Pretty good pace to be fair. Pretty pleased with that. I’m buzzing with that two foot to be honest cuz some of my pace plan has been very ropey recently and that was pretty long and a lot of slope. Go pa. Go pa. Why is there a spotter stood there? Spotter for the next hole stood right where my ball went. It’s literally farting, but it went straight over ahead. It’s like completely oblivious to the fact there’s another hole here. 164 pins right at the back. 145 front and downwind. Not much club. [Music] [Music] Jesus. Just bounce like 20 yards. I hit eight iron. The back of the green is 174 and it’s gone over the back. So that’s good. Go go go go go go. Yes. A birdie wants your back. [Music] Right, that’s so good. But it came out of that so much better than I thought it would. Even into the wind. I think that’s big. I mean, can’t complain. I hit the shot how I wanted. It’s like one of those situations where you can’t do right from wrong cuz my ball’s in a tough below my feet. So, you think it’s not going to go as far. If I’ve gone down a club and it’s not gone there, it would literally come back to my feet. And now, this is so hard cuz it’s going to try to come high off the face. If I hit it too firm, it’s going to go off the other side of the green. This is kind of the situation where you have to try not to make power and just like leave it 10 foot short. Take a put if you get it. Except you might make a bogey. Thought it would get real bad. Don’t want to move my ball. That’s pretty damn good from there to be honest. [Applause] [Laughter] Timber. Pretty annoying making bogey there. But I feel like at each point I made the sensible shot choice and executed what I was trying to do. So I can’t really complain about it. 56 – 6 150 into the wind. [Music] See, even into the wind. That is such a bad golf shot. That was indecision. That was club indecision. That was not removable. Yeah, but yeah, they just come out, do they? [Music] I mean, it shouldn’t be in the way, but it’s just like it’s in my head. So, we’ll just move it. [Music] Come on. It always looked like a [Music] three. That is so funny. Huh? [Music] I knew as soon as I left there that was going to hit me. Look more to tell the wind’s doing things are out the back here. So I really do not want to be [Music] long. Oh god. Honey, come right out of that. That is so dumb. What is that? Such an easy shot, mate. [Music] [Music] Oh, piss off. [Music] sit. All right. 97 No, that’s the bush. 72. Well, yeah, it’s cuz I was wearing my watch then. 74 back 69 pin. [Music] Shh. [Music] not see the movement in that. Don’t know where that came from. At least it’s a path. [Music] Oh, mom. I’ve got a provisional T. This one with blue dots, but I’m pretty sure that’s out of bounds. [Music] I went all the way up the green and then ran straight back down the false front. It’s like right between clubs. Oh, idiot. [Music] [Music] Oh, hit it. Hold on. Oh no. What? Don’t know if that’s all right or not. This just could come out in so many different ways. If it goes high on the face, it’ll go nowhere. If it shuts the club down, it’ll go miles. So, that’s good. Go out. Break. That was so spinny. Good job. Straight downwards. Thanks. Awkward. Right. Finished with an 81 10 over par. pretty kind of upset with that cuz I feel like I’ve been playing really good golf recently. I don’t really feel like I showed my best self out there. And I know this course pretty well, so I thought I could come and shoot like a decent number. But if I kind of reflect on it, I feel like I only really hit kind of three bad shots. Obviously, two T- shots that got me in trouble, but actually the drive wasn’t really that far offline at all. This course is so tight and narrow. Like it’s very easy to miss a fairway or two. But like I have been here in the past in amateur events and shot in the 60s. So I do feel quite a long way away from that now. I think a big thing to reflect on would be like club selection for me. There was definitely some holes where I didn’t measure the wind right and like I didn’t get it right. It was swirling a little bit and obviously maybe having a caddy would have kind of helped that situation out. But overall I just have to kind of take the game I had today work and try and improve on that. Was a bit nerve-wracking taking the camera out in an actual tournament playing with pros who are obviously competing for a living. and you got to be mindful of not getting in the way. So, huge thanks to Nicola for agreeing to play with us today. And just a massive thanks to the Rose Series for inviting me to play and also just to Justin Rose and his wife Kate for putting these events on and everything they’re doing for women’s golf. Loads of people say they want to support women’s golf, but actually not a lot of people step in and do it and what they’re doing for the women in this game. It’s just absolutely fantastic. And I think everyone here and even the wider like women’s golf society really appreciates that. So, massive thanks to them. Thanks for watching. Let us know where we should go play

Two slack tee shots caused the problems. Level of play not reflected in the score. Few good putts just shaved the cup. Could easily have been close to level par. Onwards.
Feeling for you Hannah.
If only they publicised these events to allow people to go and watch
should have filmed your mate! never mind love ya
15:40 rule of golf question. You hit a provisional off the tee, the ball is unplayable, so why can’t you play the provisional? Or can you only play the provisional if the ball is lost
This was a great watch, thank you for sharing my fave video yet Hannah 😎👍🏼
Scratch golfers don’t shoot that kind of score round Formby Ladies! It’s about 3500 yards long. Plus no wonder you lot take 5 hours to play a round 🤦🏻♂️
It's a pleasure to watch you play a round. I'm so sorry that golf did to you what it does to me on a regular basis! : ) You've got a great swing and great attitude. You've got lots of great golf ahead of you!
It's so much more frustrating when you're not really striking the ball badly, but things just don't go your way.
That's why golf is a four-letter word 🤷🏽♂️🫤
I've seen Peter Finch, Andy Carter, and others play Formby, and sometimes, they don't fare much better either.
Love your channel ❤👍🏽🏌️♂️⛳️
Great to see a full round and the focused and effort you’re putting into your game. You also look healthy and stronger than a year or so ago. Well done. 👍
Well done, great swing but as we all know – fine margins and the rub of the green!
Well done Hannah, love watching content creators entering competitions! Would like to hear more commentary on the hole you’re playing, club selection, thoughts etc as I find it really informative on what great players are considering which helps my own game as I’ve started to talk though my own shots on the course now 😂 appreciate its not easy if you have a playing partner & maybe needs adding during editing. Anyway, love watching, keep it going & Id love to see you in more comps or even taking on other content creators 👏
A lovely video that showed that this is a really tough course where accuracy of the tee will pay dividends. A good competetive round with room for improvement. Well done Hannah. You are also looking really fit and well.
When you walloped that opening drive, I was glued to the screen 😂
Considering the pressure added from filming the round, I think you did well and as you said, a handful of not perfect shots made the score more than you deserved. My favourite videos are playing vlogs, so really enjoyed it and keep at it x
Well done cameraman.
Putting cld be more assured Hannah.
More of the same pls. thanx
Great video Hannah, you were unlucky on a couple of holes there, great golf ⛳⛳⛳
Hopefully you didn't beat yourself up for too long Hannah. Really enjoyed the longer video. All the best in the next event, wherever it may be
Thanks for this Hannah; I think it's very brave of you to let us see this.. As someone still very much finding his way in the game, I found this fascinating and learned a lot – rules, thought processes, strokes… Kudos to your cameraman – great angles and shots. And the editing was absolutely spot on too! – interesting to realise that 18 holes really amounts to 45-50 mins of "time on the ball". Great post all round.👏🏻
Very bouncy out there I can’t stop starring also. Dr Gus Greenfield approved. I named my wedge Hannah lol
It’s easy to beat yourself up when you hit a poor shot but it never ever helps to call yourself a moron etc. Some famous pro said he expected to make 7 mistakes per round so whenever he hit a bad shot he didn’t get frustrated. p.s. it was Walter Hagen. He won 11 majors!!!!!
Love the pre-shot routine. Looking pretty sharp, Hannah H 👍🏻 Better days to come.
Great content. Great swing and just a round that got away from you. Well done.
I play tournament golf here in North Carolina, roughly twice per month March through November. I absolutely love seeing good players like yourself do a tournament vlog. One of my favorites from you, Hanna.
So what clubs did you decide to put in your bag this year?
I had the same thought about a caddy, both on club selection and for a little psychological help, as a good caddy seems to keep their player in the best mindset and you appeared to get frustrated and quieter as the round when on. That said, +10 on a pro course under pressure is still a decent showing for an amateur! Keep fighting!
You don’t have to do too much wrong to shoot a bad score. I find I can hit the ball really well all day but just not getting up and down when needed and missing a few birdie opportunities ending up 5 or 6 over having felt I played as well as I can. Them other times I’m saving par and getting the odd birdie when the long game is poor and getting a good score around level par. It doesn’t always make sense.
Thanks for this…more please!
👍👍
Very proud of you and your video. Every day of golf is a gift. Thanks.
I’d expect that filming your round added to the stress of playing with professionals—certainly would for me, especially when things weren’t going as well as hoped. The entire situation was high-stress, and you handled it well. You made a lot of really good swings, Hannah—you struck it well and you rolled it well; several of those putts could easily have gone in. Bottom line, you played much better than you scored. And that, as you well know, happens a lot in golf. Don’t be discouraged, because you’re a talented, knowledgable person whose videos are entertaining and informative, and you’re a terrific player, as well. Next time out you’ll be more settled in and you’ll be super! (A caddy would be a good addition for the next tourney, though!)
Good for you. I imagine it would be tough, since those ladies are no pushovers, though neither are you.
Well, you left some putts out there. I know the feeling, but they were close, maybe less fear of running it past the hole.
Even a +2 can have a bad day so keep going. Just a small thing – was it the microphone or were you feeling a little breathless?
Would love to see the pro’s fixing their divots – replacing and or sanding – it should be part of the post shot routine naturally and to help teach our new golfers the proper course etiquette.
Damn Hannah, I haven't watched any golf vids for a while, and you look super toned….
Always been a fan of your game and presentation style…
