I Can’t Leave Until I Birdie EVERY Hole (Northwood Golf Club)
Hi, I’m Eric and I’m back here where it all began. The course with a thousand redwoods, Northwood Golf Club. This Alistister McKenzie gem, just nine holes, is one of the tightest and trickiest I’ve ever seen. But tomorrow, I’m going to get back here at 6:00 a.m. And my goal is to birdie every one of them or die trying. It’s the infinite round of golf. I can do it. I can do it. That’s right. a four on every par five, a three on every par four, and a two on every par three. There’s going to be a lot of ups, hopefully fewer downs, and a lot of golf to watch. So, Northwood Golf Club, I’m coming for you. And I’m looking for a 27. [Music] It’s an important day. Special day. We’re going to There’s no not a person in the parking lot. The lights are on inside. Gayler must be here. Rated one of the top nine hole golf courses in America. Northwood Golf Club. Let’s get it. Kind of overthinking a little bit. Got everything he needs. I got waters. I got I bought a pack of Marbor lights. He hasn’t smoked in 10 years. I just I don’t I’m overthinking it quite a bit. How many holes do you think it’ll take me to birdie? All nine. How many holes or how many Well, hours, holes, rounds, whatever. I would say we’ll probably be be here this afternoon waiting for you. I believe it can get done today. Yeah. Right. I believe it can get done before the sun sets in the west. Do you have a goal? Do you have a birdie goal? First uh first loop. Um more than one birdie. More than one birdie. Okay. Oh boy, it is. I just looked out into the void and said nothing. Low viz driver. Hell no, dude. Oh, sorry. I’m not familiar with the clubs. I meant to grab uh forwood. No, I think I’m not even going to do four. Okay, I think I Man, I just need to get more familiar with these clubs. I do think it’s hybrid. You’re absolutely No, I don’t even know if it’s hybrid, dog. Okay. No, dude. Get the Aroscos out, man. This is Okay. Yeah. Yeah. Give me the AR. I got this. Here. We got a scorecard. I think I get a score card. I’ll get a scorecard. It’s my job. It’s my job. I can use the warmup. Off to a rocky start on the caddy front. 290. I think we can get down with a uh like seven iron. 7 iron. 160 130. You know, casual conservative conservative first nine. Okay. All right. I’m a little nervous. You nervous? A little bit. It’s a big moment here. Yeah. [Music] Yeah. I think that’s great. Good ball. Worst case scenario, I think we have like a nine iron in. All right, dude. We’re We’re in position A, dude. We went past the bunker here. Got it right into the little area inside the 150. Yeah. Look how beautiful this is, man. Now, it’s going to be hard to get a laser. It is. The laser doesn’t like fog. Oh, you can’t see the holes because of the trees. I’ve never tried that. That’s actually crazy. You can’t see the greens because the trees are so tall. Wow. So, it’s saying from here 126 middle. What’s funny is there is a little bit of a tree in the way. I think it’s just an easy pitching wedge. Okay. Little long, but we have a putt. I had a tragic swing thought before hitting the Oh, no. What was it? Don’t shank it. We hit the green. We hit the fairway. Oh, man. I’m going to make this putt, dude. I am going to make this putt. Birdie in the first hole. You wouldn’t even believe it. All right, dude. Here’s the thing. Here’s the thing. Hey, here’s the thing. Whether we make it or not, it’s all good because we can play this hole all day long. Literally. Literally all day long. Oh my god. I get down. I babyed it. All right. Well, you know what? Since far doesn’t matter, let’s take a practice. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Get Get the feel of the greens. I’m surprised we didn’t do a little warm up before, but I know. I probably should have just hit a couple putts cuz these are pretty slow. It’s okay. It’s okay. Yeah, we’re good. We’re good. We can get inside this if I make this. It’s so sad. I mean, that’s even too [Laughter] slow. Holy sh That is doesn’t count. It doesn’t count. It doesn’t count. Oh man. This isn’t can player be birdie every hole. That bodess well for us. You know what I mean? I agree. All right. Hole number two is a 383 yd par4. Okay. 47°, ladies and gentlemen. Hands are cold. Let’s go. Yep. So beautiful out here. Ball’s going nowhere. A lot of moisture in the air. Yeah. I got 137 to the middle of the green. Looks pretty good, man. Hands up. Oh, touchdown. Another great shot, dude. How about How about golf when you’re hitting it? Yeah. I mean, there’s nothing like it. Yes. Yes. Oh, that came in nice, huh? Yeah. Good strike, man. These greens are beautiful right now. That’s a sneaky putt. Oh man, that thing is lined up in the heart. Do it. Do it. Hey, that’s today’s game, dude. Good roll. Just good roll. Just a good I just got to pick up the speed a little bit. This is a survey round, you know? We’re just surveying. Oh, part three. Can see everything. This isn’t a ball striking challenge. No, it’s a putting challenge. Yeah. Turn. That feels long. All right. Got a bit of a Hail Mary putt, but it’s going to be a long putt. Stranger things have happened. Yeah. 292 par4. Yeah. Oh, that felt good, man. That was one of the best strikes I’ve had at Northwood in my life. We put it in the right spot. Yep. Hey, all the ball striking has been great so far. Thanks, man. Yeah, I’m feeling good about it. That’s heavy. Tempo off. Ah, man. All right, got a chance to chip in. Terrible. Onto the fifth hole. Still no birdies. This is a par five. That is 471. It’s got to be driver. Okay. Got to be driver. Got to see this. This big dog is hungry today. You know, we all had oatmeal, but this guy, he’s waiting for his meal. There we go. That’s a draw. This challenge really, it doesn’t test your tea game. It’s not about the C game. Tea game is a prerequisite, but it’s not what we’re testing. It’s this. Oh my god. Look at that. I mean, you can pretty much get through there. We got a 280 yard par4. You going to try and just fly it just Yeah. I’m just gonna I’m just gonna do what I did with that five iron. I’m just gonna go nice and low. I’m gonna get right on the edge of this T- box here. First tree. Can we get up and down from here? Hang on. Good chip seven long par four. Basically just want to hit that cut. Man, how good to have these echo shoes. My feet are dry. This might be too much. Chip in or bust. [Music] barely on green. Okay, so this is par three on paper. This whole eight is 120 yards from the white te’s. It was it was like tracking. It just it just uh kind of sucked back a lot. Struck really well. Yeah, good go at it. Ninth hole. Hardest hole. Let’s see if we can make a birdie here. I’ll be honest. You know, there are some thoughts creeping in. You know, one of the thoughts is uh how much time do I really have? You know, how much time do I really have? Holy cow. Running it back. No birdies on the first round. We are now engaging in the Groundhog’s Day challenge. So, you guys want to go back around? Yeah. Is that okay? What do you got? You want to go back? I just had a group that teed off on they should be finishing one. Okay. But they’re pretty slow. No, Grace. We We’ll work our way around them politely. I think on holes where we did Okay, let’s just play the same game plan. Same. Okay. So, seven iron. Yeah. Yep. Yeah. It’s a good ball. All right. Game plan. Game plan. Okay. Hit the pin. Okay, dude. Hey, hit the stick. This is our first big chance right here. Yeah. Yes. This is it. Hit the stick. Hit the stick. Stick. You know what you know you do when you hit the stick, right? What do you do? Take off your layer. Okay. That’s what my mom always told me. When we hit the same club, we have more info. Yeah. Exactly. On that shot. We have more feel. You’re not taking in new data. You’re doing the same thing you did before. Exactly. Real talk. I’ll say it so he doesn’t have to. I have to make this one. This is some big boy. Like, this is a job I got to do. Yeah. You dirty dog. It was even more than that. We’ll be back as many times as I have [Applause] to sit down. Sit. Sit. Sit. Sit. Okay. This will be okay. Sit. Just check. Let’s get Let’s roll. travel. It’s a good line. I just can’t travel. Yeah, great line. It’s too slow. Hey, there’s my tea from last time. Nice. There’s my tea from the first one. It’s going to happen a lot. All right, third hole. Take two. Whoa. That’s weird. Oh. Oh my god. What? Did it hit a tree? Yep. And onto the green. All right. Hail Mary here. Hail Mary. All right, this one’s going right. I don’t need to get too cute with the reef. I just can’t get really a waste. I mean, I can at least see the green now from the tea, which is nice. Yep. I got a case of fades today, dude. Get up. Get up. Get up. Get up. Big kick up. You know, halfway through the second round, I mean, it’s kind of dawning on me how hard this is. It’s not hard. It’s just a grind. Yeah, you got it. Yes, dude. That was good. That a long golf ball. One shot at a time. It’s the forward just like I did it last time. That’s money. Sit soft. So, hypothetical scenario, what if we get to like four hours, five hours go by and I haven’t made a single birdie and then all of a sudden I just make like five in a row. Like, you know, the whole like opening the can. Yeah. I believe in the pickle jar analogy. Yeah. The pickle jar. Yeah. What is the pickle jar analogy? Just like, you know, you put it under hot water, you give it to your buddy, you do this, you bang it on the counter, and all a sudden it’s like just opens. Just opens. It just like But all that work prior Yeah. contributed to loosening up the jar. Yeah. So, it’s like, oh, I made four birdies in a row. I’ve also been playing golf for six hours. Yeah, man. Fat Jesus. All right. Six. I’m going to go crazy today, aren’t I? Am I going to go crazy? No. Starting to realize do not speak that into existence. Hey, it is a completely sane day all day. Birds going to start falling. Vibes are going to be high. You know, here’s the dumps. We’re not getting down in them. We’re We’re up here. Yeah. We’re up here all day. Yeah. All day. Yeah. We got this. Yeah. We’ll work with that. Yeah. 50 yards on the dot. Okay. I can do that. Get up. Get up. Get up. Get up. Get up. Get up. Get up. Get up. Get up. Oh man. I think next time it’s driver slice. That could go in magic. All right, now we’re going to switch to a golf cart. All right, so 10:00, seventh hole. Got a fresh glove. I’m going to hit this ball. Okay. Yeah, strangely maybe it can play that. I could hit a chill six and see what happens. You know, kind of like, “Hey, what are you doing tonight?” Yeah. You know, like didn’t make a ton of plans. just like kind of checking in. Hey, what’s up? You want to grab dinner, bro? It’s like that kind of thing, you know? Hey, you around? Oh, no. All good. No worries. I’m going to go eat. You know, this isn’t a Are you up? Yeah. No. No. It’s like in between that. Yeah. Huh. Turns it over. Close. All right, par three. Oh, par three. Ace cam is live. Never know. That’s a little heavy, but might get there. Good ball. All right, we in there with a shout. All right, we’re going to make this. It’s one of these putts where it like it maybe looks like it breaks just because of what else the putter the green is doing. Right edge with pace. That’s what we’re doing. You know why? Hey, par doesn’t matter. What am I trying to do? Be delicate with these things. Why have I been trying to roll everything at a dying pace, guys? What a revelation just took place. About to add one to the board here. Come on. Let’s go. All right, that’s a good one. That’s a good one. I already had the scorecard out. I knew it was gonna happen. I didn’t have a single doubt. You already had it written. All right, guys. We have a date with number nine. And she doesn’t know it yet, but I’m hitting forward. Forward wedge. I go hard on these element packs right here. My favorite grapefruit salt and mango chili. So, I I think today’s a mango chili day. Sugar-free. And you know what? It’s salty, dude. Like, it is salty. It’s saltier than the ocean. I actually don’t know if that’s true, but drinkelement.com/rgc you’ll get a free sample pack. It has a bunch of different flavors. It looks just like this. So, with any purchase from drinkleelement.com/rgc, you’re going to get a free sample pack. Looks just like this. Bunch of different flavors. It’s delicious. Well, one last thing. Since we recorded the ad in Northwood, two things have happened with Element. Number one, they launched a brand new flavor. It’s called Lemonade Salt. It’s exactly what it tastes like, except it’s even more delicious. Stay salty, folks. The other thing is we asked Element if they would give away a year supply of Element, and they said yes. The way you can win is you can go down to the comment section and tell us what you would do with Element for a year. As always, you can head to drinklement.com, that’s drinklnt.com/rgc, and get a free sample pack of all their flavors. Element is a zero sugar electrolyte drink mix that’s used by Navy Seals and Olympic athletes. and me. I drink it every day. I drink it during yoga. I drink it at the sauna. I drink it on the golf course. I drink it on the plane. I sometimes drink it while I’m sleeping. It’s the greatest thing about Element. All right, we’re coming off our first birdie here. I feel like I feel like nine might not know what’s coming to it. Got lucky. Yep. Did you see what number our card is? Did you see this? How lucky are we? And guess what? It’s Friday. I never saw it. Come on. Good chip, man. All right, so we just played 18 holes. We got one birdie in the bag. And uh now the course is getting kind of busy cuz it’s about 10:30 in the morning. We’re going to be jogging around. Can’t play the holes in sequence unless we wanted to get into groups and stuff. Like you can see there’s a twosome on seven. There’s a foresome on the first green, a forsome on the first T. We’re going to go back to nine. Nine gets it. Nine gets a Nine gets a double dose. I’m feeling good. This is the ninth hole. Third try. Starting with the driver. Thinking about a cut dog. 12s. Yeah, it’s gonna be good. Ended up on the right side of the fairway. That’s That’s a bonus. Might have a number into the green. Might have a number into the green. I got 250 front edge on my Arcos. It’s got to be forward or below him. Under them. Just a good run up too. I will take it. Good to see you. Good to see you. You come to Konos Stoa very often. I’m heading to Medford. Double Indemnity. Comment below. What’s your favorite noir film? Early Hollywood. You know, early Hollywood. The coolest thing about this that I’ve learned is like not only do you get a chance to like learn from your mistakes on each hole in each shot, but also if a golf hole is X yards, 95% of that hole doesn’t really matter. It’s the last 5%. Like that’s all that really matters. Like you can get here any way you want. You could be in the trees. You could do that. You could bounce off a tree. You could hit a shank. Like this is all that things matters. You got to get up and down short game. And if I’ve learned anything leaving this challenge, I am I’m going to short game school. I am going to short game school cuz that’s the way you score. That’s the only difference. All right. On to number one. Now we’re switching it up on number one. Hybrid. We’re going to we’re going to try to go right over those bunkers. Give ourselves a really clear shot into the green. wants to be right of the bunkers and short, but that’s fine. All right, we have 99 yards to the pin. I like it. I’m going to miss right and short. That’s where we want to putt from. We can make a putt from there, boys. Oh, man. Come on. Let’s get in. Let’s lock in. Go in. Be on [Music] it. Woo! Woo! All right, I think I can make that one. It’s like getting to live every day over again. You know, it’s like that movie About Time. Yeah, this is basically like I get to live the day over. It’s the infinite round of golf. Honestly, we’re going to make a birdie here. This is a gimme. Let’s go. Pickle jar. It’s actually not a gimme. No gimmies today. No gimme all day long. Come on. Come on. Two down. Two down in 30 minutes. Wow. I’m telling you. Pickle jar, dude. Pickle jar. Come on, dude. All right, dude. This is great. This is great. This is great. The crazy take is on that hole on number one, I hit a really bad hybrid. It went like 180 yards and it didn’t matter. It just doesn’t matter. It’s all about how close can the wedge get. It just doesn’t. The T-OT is like, yes, it’s important, but it’s not it’s more important than it’s in the fairway than anything else. Yep. Yeah. I mean, that’s that’s Shorty Mcsherson. It’s so fat, but it doesn’t matter matter. It doesn’t matter. It is all good. I’m guessing 75. Oh, man. be tough. Okay, dunk it. Good chip, dude. Good chip. All right, so we’re going from uh hole two to hole five because there’s people on holes three and four. And you know, we only made seven more birdies, so we’re not going to play one and seven ever again today. That’s the seventh green just smiling at us right there. If we can hit the green, I’m willing to I’m willing to guarantee it, birdie, if I can hit the green. Yes, sir. Roto, don’t even watch that. 22% of the way there and it’s 4 hours in. Yeah, there you go. Hang on. Hang on. Okay. Got a good feeling about this. Cut out the part where I said I got a good feeling about this, please. It’s a 250 all-in shot. I hit a 4-wood long of the pin the last time we played it. So, this is take three. I mean, I’m looking for like at least 70 yards of slice, and I don’t need to hit it very hard. So, I think it’s like an 80% shot. Really good miss is short, right? But I just need to get that ball to slice. It’s not a shot you hit that often, like intentionally, you know? Here we go. Okay. Short, but it’s short. I mean, it’s hard to get a lot of speed on that. Totally. That was sick, though. This is exciting because the repetitive nature of this is like you really get to see like where do you want to be to come into it. It’s not easy. It’s super like logic oriented and also skill up and down from 38 yards. I’m going to follow through with it. That’s what I’m think I’m going to do right now. Come on. Check. Sit down. That’s the rough. Huh? All right. We can make the spot, dude. Yep. I actually feel really good about this putt. I’m going to make this one. I am going to make this putt. Turn, turn, turn, turn, turn, turn. Ah, it’s great. I under it. I That’s the one that I underre. Seventh hole, third take. Hitting driver. Going to hit a slice. Yep. That’s it right there. Yep. That’s a big ball. That is a big old ball right in the fairway. Mhm. Come on. That’s an absolute roastery of a drive. That golf ball, if you blend it up, you could get coffee out of it right now. Name of the game right now is just wedge it close. Yeah. Okay. All right. Let’s putt, you know. It’s like it’s a par. kind of enjoying playing the course out of [Applause] order. All right, we’ll play it. Kind of learning from what’s happening on the day. I’m going to take a little more club. Come on. Ouch. The glaring theme of this film is not so great from 100 in Eric. Fifth hole, take four. I can miss left. I can miss out the pin. I can miss right. The great thing is we don’t want to hit it 260, so I can’t do that. I feel great about this shot. Got through. Okay. Short and right. Short and right. I like that because the pin slopes left to right. Sit. Simmer. Simmer. All right, let’s see if we can make that. Didn’t turn at all. Dead straight. How’s it go, guys? Sorry to bug you. You guys swim around here? Yeah. Oh, cool. Regulars. Yeah. That’s awesome. Came in from Texas. Yeah. Trying to see if we can birdie every hole. Damn. All right. We got we got we got we got two down and we’ve been playing for a couple hours. So, we’ll see what we do. All right, this one’s looking good so far. What I found is the T-shot doesn’t really matter. If you see any balls up there, they’re not ours. That would be the number. Sound like it hit the green. Okay, we’re on the ground. Woo! Three down. Had the scorecard out. That’s good. That’s good. That’s good for the the momentum, for the morale. It’s great. Three down, guys. I mean, that’s great. It’s like, you know, we’re like we’re a third of the way through the day. It’s 33% done. Yeah. And we’ve and we’ve obtained a lot of information. Two 4 5 6 7 9 coming after you. All right. I don’t know what a take this is on six, but here we are. I mean, yeah. Okay. They might be on the green now. I don’t think so. Oh, hit the green. Dude, that looks great. I was going to say that looks great. Yeah, dude. I think we hit the green. Let’s go. Done deal. Oh, dude. This is money. This is the closest off a green I’ve been all day. You know what I mean? Kind of like this is the closest I’ve missed. That’s That’s also This isn’t I don’t need to hold this. No, no, no. Yeah, it doesn’t. Just get it close. Just give yourself a good shot. Don’t give it away. does go left. Well, my friend, yes. Yes. Yes. Huge. That was what a classy dude. You know what I mean? Come on. Let’s go. Come on. That feels so good. Pickle jar. Come on. A pickle jar. It’s opening. That’s two in a row. Oh my god, dude. for 1, three, 6, 8. Dude, that’s crazy. We’re down. We are popping, dude. It’s I swear in the I swear in the last hour and a half cuz we went like 2 and 1 half hours, no birdies. Yeah, we’ve been playing golf since 7:30 a.m. It’s 12:30. So, we’re almost we’re at like We’re almost at 5 hours. Yeah. And I feel like all the birdies have happened in the last 2 hours. This might be time for a burger or seven. Momentum. Momentum. Momentum. No, I think we can get it all done before lunch. [Laughter] [Applause] Copy paste, brother. Yep. Should be good. Should be good. All right. We’re finding something. We finding something. That’s a good shot. It’s going to be a little short, but it’s good. Oh, maybe it’s right. Oh, a little long. I think I’m getting nervous over my wedges cuz I know that that dictates the length of the putt. Let’s see if we can make this, guys. This would be This would be the absolute pickle jar because this is three. This would be three in a row. Come on. I was halfway to the hole. Oh man. Oh my god. It’s so close still. It’s laughing at us. All right, we out of here. On to the next. No. Get a kick. It hit something eventually. So, we found the ball. Hanging out with our boys here. They’re all playing. Pretty chill. And uh nice. Uh we have about 140 to the pen. Um can’t hit too high. and a very thin window to hit it through. And it is absolutely a window. This is nuts. So close. Oh, did you see that? Yeah. That was like flingo. Is it that the front edge right there? Yeah. All right, we got a chip. I know what the green does cuz I’ve seen it about five times today. Uh this would be one of the more unlikely All right. Hey, gave it a chance. Yeah, it’s great. Fairway. Yep. Cuz we have 265 in. I mean, the pin is way in the back. 265. I’m playing 255. I got that number. I’m going to carve it off the pin. And I want to miss just off the edge of the green on the right. Came back to the other side of the fairway from 150. All right, what do you got? Nine iron 146. Okay, let’s rip it. Grip it and rip it, guys. Come on. Oh, that’s so tight. That is so tight, man. This is light work here. Hit like a pretty good T- shot. I mean, it was skanky. And then pulled a forward into a tree that bounced back into the fairway. I think it was Ben Hogan who had a quote who said, uh, you know, golf is all about one really great shot, and I’d prefer it not be my first. Something like that. All right, this is a reasonable putt. I mean, this is the hard fold for sure, but every dragon gets slayed and this would tip us over the edge. This would be five birdies with four left. This thing is right edge and nothing else. All right, I got this. You know what we do if we make this putt? Go get burgers. What do we do if you don’t? Uh, keep playing golf. Go back to the tea. Come on. Come on. In the heart. That is it. That is it. Five and four. Five and four. Guys, I’ll be honest with you. I actually There was a point at like around 11:00 a.m. where I was like, it’s not going to happen. But you know, the pickle jar theory holds true. Ain’t out of the woods yet. Well, you’re so right. So, heading to lunch with five birdies. We Eric has birdied 1, three, six, eight, and nine. We still have two, four, five, seven, and we’ll be done with this day. Currently 12:52. Been playing golf for just under five and a half hours. Pretty sure the sun sets at 6 and I think it’s light out until about 6:45. That’s when my mom starts calling. And so that means we got less than 50% of the way through the clock, the working clock, cuz if we include a little bit of lunch break, like we can come back and have a full PM birdie session. [Music] Yeah, I ordered two lunches. Um, you know, I figured today’s a special day. Feel like today would be the day to order a Cobb salad with chicken and a a Reuben sandwich and fries. This could be the best lunch of my life. Come to Northwood. Get a Reuben and a com salad. Birdie every hole. Sounds like aing Friday. Come on. Do you guys mind if I play a hole with you? Thank you. All right. With you. Oh, yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I’ll just be one hole and then I’m out. All right. Then I’m moving on. Okay. Because we have just finished lunch. About to uh about to reenage the uh the golf muscle. I’ll play that. That will play, you know. Yeah. I mean, I’d rather have the good shots come later, you know. It’s cool, man. This place is getting busy. kind of like it. One of the hazards is now social. It’s kind of like survivor. Like, hey, do you mind if I squeeze in and play a hole? We got 105 in. Feeling a little downwind. I’m just going to hit a pure sand wedge here through should be good. So funny. I’m used to just like gonzo golf where it’s like, you know what I mean? Like this is interesting. The tempo is very different now. Come on, dude. Come on. First hole post lunch. Hold it. Hold it. Dang. So close. [Applause] So back. Yeah. So back. Oh man. Thanks. This is the second hole. I don’t know how many times I played this hole, ladies and gentlemen. It’s not really going to work. Oh man. Yeah, the course is gotten significantly busier while we were at lunch. We’ve come back and there’s not a single gap on the golf course, whereas earlier we were able to kind of just move around as we needed to. This could happen. Oh, yeah. All right. So, we’re back on the second hole. Now, this is probably the seventh or eighth time playing this hole. Uh the last uh two or three times it’s been during uh rush hour traffic here at Northwood, which, you know, Friday afternoon, beautiful, fantastic day. I’ve enjoyed this film uh tremendously as a golf geek, as a as a swing satist. Uh, you know, it’s really like an educational opportunity for me to see how to play a hole and and what shots matter most. We’re playing a version of golf that is very bastardized. It’s the difference between making love and porn. Oh, I didn’t hit it. Good roll. So close. Back to the Tox. Honestly, I love it so much. I love like birdie. Nope. Par. Not good enough. Back to the T- box, son. It’s like my 10th time playing this hole. I mean, this is like as much logistics as it is swing and good bounce, bad bounce, who knows? You know, I’ve been 80 yards on this hole. I’ve been 170. And I can’t do better than par. Work out. Work out, please. Go in the hole. All right, we got a putt. It’s not fair. I hit it off the car path. I topped it 120 yards. If this is the birdie, I’m going to question everything for the rest of my life. Come on. That was a great roll. All right. So close. Back to the tea, gentlemen. Oh my. We’ll see you soon. That was close. That was That broke my heart. Four holes left. Are you concerned at all with the amount of daylight that we have? Yeah, considerably. I have like a half hour a hole, which is not the pace we’re at right now. We’ve slowed down significantly. All right. Fourth hole. Take eight. Fault. Fault. Fault. Fault. It’s exactly the same spot I was in last time. Exactly. All right, we’re on the car path. We’re going to take some relief for the first time. No closer. I am full, man. That lunch. Still thinking about it. So much food. It’s still thinking about you. I might have had Snickers as soon as I was done. Come on, man. That thing really cruises. Yep. Tell you what, these greens have quickened up. We can make this. Well, I mean, I guess it’s just right edge with pace cuz we don’t care about the next one. Trying to find some momentum here. Afternoon’s been kind of slow. Hard to find momentum. All right. I don’t know where you’re going, pal. Yeah, it’s pretty good, actually. Yep. Yep. That’s got to be on the green. Got to be. Hey. Okay. It’s Momo. We need I kind of like that swing. It’s kind of like a grandpa driver. We got to like underscore something here like this is just a normal chip, right? Easy chip. Easy. Get up and down, no problem. It’s not. Okay. This is psychologically very different than a normal chip. But you got to take a lot out of your brain. That’s what makes golf so interesting. This is like to win the masters, you know. Come on. Come on. I can do it. I can do it. All right. Six birdies. All right. All right. Hey, we’re not out of the woods. Let’s clutch up. I got to make this fun now. It’s just outside the comfort zone. If this if the sixth birdie is this hard, the ninth birdie is going to be even harder, dude. Oh god. Just rely on mying process. God, come on. Oh god. See you later. All right, now we got a par five. Have not played this hole in a minute since before launch. I think that’s a good thing. Yeah. Whatever. Like, whoing knows, dude. I have no idea, bro. The sun is low, man. Nah, bro. We still got a several fingers away. Oh, the sun started over there. All right, folks. Sorry to interrupt. We are not at Northwood anymore. Now we’re at Pelum Bay Golf Course in the Bronx. Mad Scramble, but Nile here just got back from an even more interesting event, the RGC Major in Ireland. You’re going to tell them what it was like, and I’m going to tell them before you tell them that we’re going to another one in Scotland. The details are below. What was it like going to Ireland? This is your first golf trip. First golf trip and went back home to the motherland. He’s Irish. 24 random people meet up, no connection, and already just day one, unbelievable buddies, great time, great banter, great golf course, and it was just unreal. Someone got a hole in one. There’s a stable for competition. You won a prize. What did you get? The ping irons there. Full set of ping irons. So, RGC Major is the most fun you can have. So, hit the link down below or hit this QR square. It is first come first serve. I will be in Scotland. I’m looking forward to welcoming you and 23 other golfers to one of the coolest golf trips you can go on, bar none. N hit the link. N you hit the link. Yeah. He signed up. I was like, Nile’s coming. You. Yeah, you in particular. That one. Not you. The other way. There. That one. There. There. There he is. That one. There. You. All right. We moved on. Three holes left. Two, five, and seven. Uh, coincidentally, uh, two long par fours and a mid-length par five. That kind of annoying. Should have birdied this one by now, but here we go. Driver up the left side. Just like that. Yes. Uh, yes. Yeah. All right. Would you do this again? Absolutely. In a heartbeat. I’d do it tomorrow. tomorrow. This I give an absolute about and you can tell like I mean I’ve never behaved that way making a birdie on a 300 you know that’s a 280 yard par4. Yeah, I would totally do this again cuz it’s so real. Where’d that golf ball at? Okay, cool. Good stuff. 223 yards. Wow. To the pin. To the pin. Wow. We hit a good drive. Let me show you from the caddy view. Want to have the hands forward at impact right about here. really want to see the shaft lag. This is lag. You really want the lag to be touching your trail elbow and then and all of a sudden it’s Ganis teaches this and it’s just sometimes honestly I’ve seen this in Costa Rica. Some dudes they’re here. Okay. Reality. Reality. A lot of lettuce behind that golf ball. Cobb salad. Yeah, that plays. That’ll just be right in that little gully there. Yep. All right. Yeah, that’s good. That’s good. That’s good. Now, we just need, you guessed it, a chip in a pot. Please be a good line. Please be a good line. I’ll bet I’ll make more birdies after this video because you’re looking at the golf hole differently. And you’re just like, doesn’t matter where the T-shot goes. This is what matters right here. This is what matters. Come on. Come on. Yeah, that was a good switch. Okay, that was a good switch. We got lucky there. Good call. We got lucky there. Yes, sir. Three to go. Don’t get in my head. I’m going to I got to go. Just bring the punch. Top wood. Hell yeah. Dear Lord, watch me while I make this money. No, it did go left. Second hole. Still one of three that remain. I’m hitting driver now. Switched the strategy. Arms away from my body at impact. Adam Scott at the finish. Get away from me. Adam Scott, swing thought. Adam Scott, get away from me. Adam Scott, get away from me. Yep. Keep working. Yep. Yep. Dude, you know what that You know what that ball got? What? A taste of sap. Dude, that ball kissed 50 big ass trees on its way to landing. That ball’s going to taste like maple syrup. Now arriving the birdie train on track one. I think it’s about exactly 100 yards. Might need to go. Sh likes it. How far? 15 ft. Nightfall’s close. Oh yeah, this is great. I like this. I can make this putt. I remember I left this one too far outside, you know. Remember that. It’s going this way in the beginning, which is strange. I mean, this would be a very long putt to add to the collection. If I make this putt, I’m gonna [ __ ] break something. Oh, it was so close. There’s a movie where they say we’re running out of time. And that all of those movies I’m thinking about right now. Three holes left, dude. Come on. I can do it. I can do it. Same swing. Smooth swing. I can’t see anything, right? Yeah. Oh, in the middle of the fairway. Great. Great. Great. Let’s go. That’s good. Come on. Kick off that hill. Short travel. I mean, great roll, man. Oh, man. It’s a tough course to play that shot, man. If this is pulled off, this becomes one of the best shots of my entire life. [Laughter] Hang out there. Hang out there. Hang out. Getting down to the wire. Been there before. All right. Pin high. Yes, sir. Pin high. [Laughter] I can make this putt. Yeah, you can. I can make this putt. Oh my god. I haven’t been closer. I have not been closer. Feels like it breaks a lot more than that. It broke so much more than that. We’re on a dry spell, guys. All right, second hole. Almost 5:00. Got 90 minutes to make three birdies. Come on, man. Summon it, dude. Just hit the ball. Yes. Keep going. Keep going. Keep going. Keep going. Keep going. Keep going. Yes. Yeah. Free as a bird now. I mean, here’s the crazy thing is all we need is 10 good shots. Three, three, four, two, five, seven. Oh, you know what? I think I just found something. Watch me. Come on. Come on. Come on. Oh, yeah. Okay, we got a putt. Okay. Long got a putt. Thank God. It’s a good pitch mark, huh? Runs away from us though. It was such a good bot. We can do it, man. We can do it. It’s in there, dude. We’re so close. So close. All right, second hole. Could be the 15th time I have played a full round of golf on just this hole today. I have It’s a par4. I know exactly what to do. [Music] It’s like It’s so insane. It’s just 400 yards. It’s just inch. It’s like an inch at the end of the day. Oh god. Yep. Yeah. Yeah. I got that shot down. Damn. Just I can do that. It’s just like psychologically traumatic. It’s kind of like sisphus, you know? Here I am again. I was just here. I was right here. I got it to here before and now I’m here again. It is literally This is See. This is me rolling the boulder up the mountain here. Oh, what do you know? Right in front of the 100 yard marker. Let me guess. 54°. I can’t even read my wedges because they’re so full of dirt. Oh, you got a wild kick. Oh, that’s good. 5 ft. Let’s go. Let’s go. Might even be inside five. I think it’s like four. I haven’t been this close all day. This is might be the closest shot I’ve hit all day on any hole. Is a real simple stroke. Some would say, “Oh, that looks so nice.” You know, when you line it up and it just looks great. You can just feel it. Yeah, that’s what I feel like. Hold it. Oh man, I was so close. All right, cool. Back to two. Uh, look, pull pull the shorty. Um, a lot of nerves going on, you know, a lot of brain stuff, body stuff. And that was that was a big L for the team. But if we’re if we’re one thing, it’s survivors. We grind. We have grit. And we keep moving. And we move forward. Yeah. Yep. Yep. Ah. It’s an impossible shot from the right side. It is. Great chip. We’re going to five. Yeah. Yeah. Two’s just not working. I mean, I was so close with that three-footer, man. See if we can get it to go a little straighter. Man, it’s gorgeous out here. Yeah. I mean, I just do what I’ve been doing on the other T- box, you know? Same thing really. It’s really the same exact shot. That’s all I need to do. Come on. Yep. Yep. That’s so far. That’s so far. Yeah, that was good. Yeah, that was good. That was real good. Real good. And um you know that’s like in the middle of the fairway. I’m always on the right side of the fairway. So that’s dead middle. Here we go. It’s a big shot. This is one that counts here. Get it nice and close. Thin as but that might get up on the green. That might play. Just a light little chip. 11th hour of golf here and we need three birdies. So 50° and it’s just this. That’s the shot right there. Stay. Stay there. Stay there. Okay. Okay. really would have wanted that closer. Come on. Come on. Come on. Come on. Let’s go. That was important. That was big. Coming off of the seventh birdie, folks. These are all my feet, okay? From the last 10 to 20 times I’ve played this hole. Cuz I’m teeing up on the right side. Okay. I’m going to absolutely make this ball remember the second hole because this is the last time this ball is ever going to see this hole. Definitely in play. Okay, let’s go. Simple, smooth. Keep your head over the goddamn ball. That’s it, dude. That’s it. is right on the pin. Yes. Yes. Five feet. Come on. Please be long. Oh, it’s short. But that’s good because we know that putt.t. We know that putt. The Yeah, it’s the same putt as it’s inside left. Back again. This is this hole. It’s Groundhog’s Day. You’re the one I’ve been waiting for. You’re the one that’s been slowing us down. That’s it right there. That’s it right there. I know for a fact that’s the read. All right, dude. You are the one. Just let go and just go in the hole. Yeah. One left. One left. Dude, I You saw that, dude. That was a really good putt. Oh my god. We’re out of here. This hole is done. Put an X over it. You know what? We should have Gaylord close the hole for tomorrow. No one plays this hole. It’s been played. Seven. We haven’t played seven in a long We haven’t played seven since the sun was in the east. Okay. Five was an awesome hole. Like five felt really really good. What’s weird is like two wa Sorry. So sorry. So sorry. We got to go apologize. No, it’s our fault, dude. Sorry. We’re doing this crazy challenge. We’ve been here since like 6:00 a.m. We’re trying to birdie every hole. So, we’re so sorry. We We finally Is this the last one? Yeah, we played two 20 times and now we got this hole. All right, guys. Here we go. You know what? It could be one and done cuz we got the mojo. We know exactly where the pin is on there. We played this hole probably five times. We got time to do this. The sun sets in 15 minutes. You know, we got like effectively an hour until it’s like brutal. We can roast roast the long dog. Here’s a tea that I hit uh earlier today. The final hole. It’s a seven. It’s the length is 359 yards. It’s not the longest hole on earth. I should be able to get in here with a flip wedge. Um the pins in the back of the green. We played this hole about six times. Number two was um was was really it was bad. But now we’re here. We’re not there anymore. We’re on number seven. And this is it. Yep. That’s so good. Yes. So good. That’s going to be so close, dude. All right, we got a good starting point here. Now, we’re not done. It’s about to go, I think. Go. This would be the most epic finisher. Okay, it needs to get there. That’s number one. [Music] Okay, final stretch, brother. Yeah, just three shots. Just need a drive, a wedge, and a putt. This is a birdie as simple as they come. You need a drive, you need a wedge, and you need to putt it. Lower back. Starting to feel it. Coming over from the left to the right. It’s a cut. Have have to think that’s good. Kind of can’t see down there, you know, but that could be really good. Still short. Short. Got a putt. Do I need Is it getting cold? Is that what it is? I can make it. I can make it. Yep. All right, let’s get it there. This would be awesome. This would be an incredible end. So good. That’s a good read. That’s a good read, man. All right, back to the tea. Take three. Three shots. Yeah. Oh, we’re a few bit past the 90 minute mark, folks. Yes. Cut. Didn’t hit nothing over the bunker. Putting fringe. We fringe in. We can make it off the fringe. We have about 20 minutes until the sun technically sets, but we’re in the middle of the redwood, so the sun it gets darker a lot faster. Okay, right edge. It needs to get there. It’s uphill. This could go in, guys. Oh, it broke so much with even with that much speed. We know what we’re doing. [Applause] Okay, this could be the last time we drive down the seventh fairway. Might have might have hit something. Wow, this is fascinating. You know, there’s something about coming into a situation from the wrong way. That’s really exciting. I’m not going to go over the left edge of the bunker and try to cut it. Just going to go over the right edge of the bunker. Nice and clean. Nice and clean right there. That’s about as good as I can hit it, fellas. That had some jizz on it, too. Back to the T- box. I think this is seven. Lucky number seven on seven. Seventh shot on the seventh hole. More than seven. I think this is my hundth hole of the day. All right, baby. Come on. Swing through this. Fire theing hips. Yep. That’s it. Yo, spark me up, bro. It’s very dark. H just off the edge of the fairway. Fantastic, guys. We are right in here. I’m almost wondering if it’s a pitching wedge just because I can’t seem to get that ball up there. I just want to get it back there, you know? Yeah. Well done. Woo. What do we got? 10 ft. Come on. When you’re running out of power, you got to power down and hit a pitching wedge from a 100 yards. Go. We got a putt. Oh my god. We got to make this putt. We got to make this putt. This is it. We’re running out of chances [Music] here. I know this spot. Oh my god, this is so close. It’s pain high. It’s like perfectly pin high. Oh my god, dude. Honestly, this is too cinematic to believe. I’m gonna make this putt. I know exactly. We literally had the putt from right here. I know that it goes left. I could almost do it without marking it. Justing feel that thing. I’m not even going to do it. Just going to put it in there. [Music] Come on. [Music] I swear I got broken somewhere in there. Wow. Guys, thank you for putting up with that caffer. Come on, Jojo. We made it happen, Charl. All the green cams. Well done. Yeah. Wow. Well, I guess if you made it this far, comment where we should do this next because I cannot wait to do it again. 18 holes, however many. That was some of the most fun I’ve ever had on a golf course in my life. Oh my god. [ __ ] Northwood, dude. [Music]

Can I Birdie Every Hole at Northwood Golf Course?
What started as a fun idea turned into an all-day mission. I took on the challenge to birdie every hole at Northwood—and I wasn’t leaving until I did. No mulligans. No shortcuts. Just me, my clubs, and a whole lot of patience (and putts).
Some holes gave in easy. Others… not so much. But one thing’s for sure—this wasn’t your average round of golf.
Come along for the ride.

This was one of the hardest things I've ever attempted on a golf course. Thank you for watching. Thank you to Gaylord for welcoming us back. Thank you to @peterfinchgolf who did this concept at Lofoten and inspired me to try it at Northwood. We're also so proud to announce our second RGC Major in Scotland this September. You can join the waitlist here (your spot will be the order you're contacted so sign up fast): https://randomgolfclub.com/pages/the-scotland-major ❤✌

The camera just doesn't do those trees justice. They're crazy big!
Do it at wolf creek. 2 man scramble. I’ll be your partner.
#manorsgolf
UPS driver here, I can't recommend LMNT enough to co workers. Stay hydrated yall
Ive played here. Tee boxes are the hardest part of the course lmao.
I can't remember being happier for someone I have never met. Absolutely phenomenal video. Also. Shout out to the best caddie for a challenge like this you could possibly have. What a feat gentlemen!
I'm 27 minutes in and I don't know if he gets it done
I probably would drink the year worth supply tbh. Also that’s a great track one of the most beautiful settings I’ve played at.
Come to Otter Creek in Columbus, Indiana
originally built for the bohemian club years ago. great course
Unreal video! Nice work can’t wait for the next one!!!
If I had a year's supply of LMNT I would drink it every day for a year at least.
Love Northwood. Can’t wait for the upcoming classic, LETS GO boys!
Loved it. Well done boys.
The Big Sleep
When did you guys film this?
How many steps / miles did you do on course?
I would skip beer on the course during tournamernts.
What a cool video, well done 👏
This is the kind of stuff that I love outta RGC. The video where Peter Finch did this at Lufthoven Links is one of the best YT vids I've ever seen. His was on the solstice and took all night. I expect this to be equally awesome. RGC keeps bringing the stuff 👏🏻
