I’m of the belief that pros shouldn’t be able to play anything that can’t be found on a shelf. Maybe a specific grind on wedges is okay, because it’s not changing the basic build of the club, but building out irons with specific weighting that can’t be found by the avg guy/gal in a fitting, or driver heads that are built specific to a player with the inner workings changed, or a ball that isn’t available to the public that’s designed specifically for a tour player…I don’t think that should be playable on Tour

DJ right, and Soly completely misremembering what peak Tiger was actually like. It wasn't all the bunker shot at Augusta. More-often-than-not the Major wins were exactly what Scheffler is doing – pure Yul Brynner in West World just marching on and mowing down the field. Perfect golf is very boring and Scheff is wonderfully boring. Scheff isn't Federer, he's Djokovic – but if Djokovic was actually an authentically nice guy one can root for. He's the GOOT.
