I don’t need You don’t need one. I don’t need it yet. We will be doing a onev one match against Christine Wang who is on the Epson Tour, trying to make it on the LPJ tour. She’s an incredible golfer. And you played in the LPJ tour event. How was that? It was great. Um I got to see a lot of my friends who I haven’t seen in six or seven years just cuz they’re older or they just didn’t go to college. Um but made the cut. Shot five under in my debut. Oh my gosh, it was great. That is insane. I didn’t know you shot five under. That was insane. On the first day. On the first day I shot five under. It wasn’t as good after that. No, five under is opening round of your first LPJ tour event for your first. Wow, that’s unbelievable. I think I just like didn’t know. I didn’t It didn’t hit me until after and then once it really hit me, I was like, “Wo!” Like, “Oh my gosh, this is a big deal.” Like, it’s not just a regular. No, I looked at the leaderboard at one point cuz I was in the morning, so not a lot of people have gone off yet. And um I think I was like in like 12th at one point and I was like I was like, “Wait, wait a second.” Like we can do something crazy here. didn’t do it. That’s awesome. Rose saying didn’t do it. No, no, you’re fine. That was That’s an incredible accomplishment to even just be able to go out there and hang with those girls is crazy. Yeah. Like Yeah. No, it was good. It just I mean it just kind of showed me that I I will get there eventually. It just And when I do, it’s going to be just fine. Like it’s not that crazy or anything. Oh, yeah. I’m rooting for you. We um the first time that we met was at my Epson tour event that I got. Um Was that your Epson debut? Yeah, that was my Epson debut. Yes. First and last. Um, no. I I played it. But we actually met as we were going. You guys were going up the elevator. I think you guys were grabbing groceries and so were we. You were about to grab groceries. We were about to grab groceries. And just let me set the scene for you guys. So, we were in EP. We were at this Epson tour event in Upper Peninsula, Michigan. There wasn’t Yeah. There wasn’t a grocery store for a couple miles. No. Absolutely middle of nowhere. It was It was pretty crazy. And I met Christine and I honestly she was so nice and so caring like everybody else. Like not that they weren’t nice and welcoming, it’s just that it was a tough scene. So I was really touched by your kindness. So it was really nice. A that’s actually I I honestly didn’t think that you would remember me. Oh my gosh. No, I I remember everything from that week. I can’t that surprises me that other people were not welcoming of I think it’s just a different thing. I think they said they were like the 16-year-old girl is coming. Who knows if she’s good enough? Like obviously I’m not this is not my territory. I don’t know what I’m doing. You know what I’m saying? Like I’m very open about the fact that I got it because of my social media, not because of my golf game. You could pick anybody else, but they the exemption was for my social media course. Like I I know that for a fact. And so I think it’s tough to look at it like when you get some girl who just shows up who has all these followers, they kind of see it as a shortcut to them. But if you really look into it, it’s like, well, I put in work on the other side, of course. But I’m really there to expose women’s golf in a positive light and bring more eyes to the sport. No, I I totally like not to your level obviously, but like I totally get it. And I during a practice round when I do like play a hole with me in a practice round, some girls are very much and it’s just like a play a hole with me is like practice round like it doesn’t even matter, you know? And then also at the LPJ tournament because of the way I got the exemption because it was a sponsors exemption given to a social media YouTube channel. Oh my gosh. They like I was asked the question in the media center. It’s like do you feel like you have to prove that you earned your spot? And I was like I don’t think that’s even necessary of a question. I know. And then I I responded to that saying no. No. So I obviously not to your extent but No, it’s the same. I kind of like when they asked me that I was like what do you mean? Like I I his sponsored exemption is given to whoever play great to get into the qualifier. You still play great under pressure of the cameras. You know what I’m saying? I guess that’s it’s so crazy. Um Oh my gosh. Actually, at the course that the Epson tournament that you played in. Oh, really? On that was my third That was my second Epson tournament or maybe third and um I on the last hole I had a like 57 foot putt for par to make the cut. My first cut as a professional and I sank it. That’s amazing. So, you guys don’t want to know what I did on that hole. I I’m sure you heard about it. I think I did hear about it. Did I? I think you probably heard about it. No, you should tell me again. Okay. I ended up triple bogeying the last hole or something. Maybe I quad. I don’t know. It was horrible. Um I ended up actually hitting a great drive and the second shot I hit great. And then the third shot was like it was I kind of like laid up to the number. And I didn’t realize that that was like a false front there. Roll back down. It went rolled back right. The reason why I had such a long putt was because I hit it short and it rolled back down. And then I had a chip shot, but I was so nervous because I needed to get up and down. I’ve never ever made the cut before. I bladed my chip. Oh my gosh. To 57 ft and then I made the putt, so it didn’t really matter. But like that’s crazy. I got I got caught up in that false front as well. Oh. Oh no. Oh, that was a little bumpy if that wasn’t All right. I got really nervous. I was there. I was there. Oh, right. I thought for sure you were going to make that. I got really nervous. I was like it it honestly it bounced like right last second right here. It’s a little slow. You see how bumpy that was? It was a little slower than I thought. Oh well. All right. Good par. It’s going to be an 80 day or it’s going to be a 76 today. Like you don’t start with a birdie and then shoot 75. Like exactly. It’s like I don’t know. I’ve tried to really unlearn that like I know thing. But it’s just even even now whenever I make a birdie on the first hole, I’m like, “Ooh, if I bogey the first hole, I’ve actually I’ve shot my best rounds ever.” Bogeying the first hole. I think some of my best rounds like I’ve ever shot also. Bogey the first hole, par the second hole, birdie. Birdie, birdie. What? Like it’s not because there was anything wrong with the It was just more like nerves and I got him out. I was done, you know? Exactly. Exactly. But you know what? Par is like the perfect thing. It’s not a bogey, but it doesn’t get you mentally upset, but like it’s all you can do. Yeah. I love how I’m letting the 17-year-old without a license drive. But downwind, it’s not the Maybe he meant three feet. Maybe three feet. Maybe you meant three feet because but downwind is different because downwind the wind doesn’t affect the ball as much, right? I’ve I go in and out of this fear and I feel like this is very like pro alete of me, but it’s just that everything that I’ve ever accomplished was just all an accident. And I know the thing is like I don’t have this fear right now in this current moment. I’ve worked really hard in the offseason. So it’s like I can I have things to fall back on and be like, “Hey, no, you’ve put the work in, right?” Yeah. Yeah. But then sometimes like you know when like shots like this chip in happens, right? in golf as well. And then I’m like, what if I have just been unbelievably lucky my entire life, you know, and then sometimes like I just get a little nervous about that. So, I got to talk myself down. I’ve gotten much better now that I can like talk myself down of of it. But I don’t know. I that makes sense. I I actually that’s a very thoughtful feel. Like I don’t like leaving things to chance. I don’t like walking away from a tournament thinking, man, I should have prep better, you know? Like I think that’s like the worst thing that you can do. A big thing that’s helped me is like I just think a lot of things you have no control over when you put in the work. Like I just leave everything up to like like I have no control over making spot. I know that makes no sense to most people, but like that’s how I think. Like I have no control over that shot or the T-shot. That’s how I’ve learned in my golf game and in life generally. Like I have no control. I need to start thinking that of planes. But um but I like I just I just think like this is so ridiculous and it makes no sense to an athlete who somebody who’s high performance like and they hit the same putt and sometimes it just doesn’t go in. Oh yeah. And that’s reality. Like golf is out of your hands a lot. Like a lot of it’s out of your hands and there’s nothing. I think all of life is out of your hands. Like if you just I’m going to go up and read this putt. I’m going to hit it and then as soon as it hits my face like there’s nothing I can do. That’s what I try and think of with everything. So, I know that’s not like most people’s mentality, but it’s it’s worked for me. I don’t, you know, but like then I know how it’s you can get fearful of like, well, that doesn’t make any sense because don’t you have control over the putter?
