As a SC alum and fan, it's sad for both sides while being a local fan watching Fulwiley since 7th grade and a huge Dawn fan as a coach for her historical impact and importance in SC Women's Basketball.
Many subliminal digs from both sides starting with the SI article misrepresenting comments from Dawn and our Asst Coach on Fulwiley, then Fulwiley tearful comments about the coaching strategies during the championship game in her post game interview, then Fulwiley adding Mulkey on both of her commitment photos to stamp her new Coach, to Coach Staley commenting on our former player Sakima Walker transfer commitment post but not commenting on any of Fulwiley transfer commitment post.
I was so hoping Fulwiley would finish her athletic and degree work at SC. Obviously, both sides are hurt and disappointed based on the responses. I think long term, Fulwiley will miss Dawn's presence more because of the accountability and life lesson impacts. It's easier for Dawn to replace Fulwiley from a team aspect vs. Fulwiley replacing Dawn from a life mentor aspect. I'll be cheering for both sides, except when LSU plays SC. 🫵
MF got owned by UConn defense. Was careless with the ball and seemed to have no concept of team game. Ball gets in her hands and it was off to the world of one on one play. UConn just got another really good rim protector In Serah Williams. This is a great get for UConn one more experienced Guard and watch out.

Kids don't see the big picture. Coach Dawn have friends in the WBA. The WBA will definitely interview coach Dawn concerning her views of this girl. Also, coach Dawn may someday end up coaching in the WBA. And the way life is, this girl may end up on her team again. That's why your parents should teach you to shut your mouth about people, especially higher ups. We don't learn a thing from Shedeur's case vs. The NFL.
Fulwiley is a great player. However, l think going to LSU is a big mistake. She won't be number 2 there. She'll be number 3. That is Fla'jae's team. Williams is number 2 and shoots better than Fla'jae and Williams. Fulwiley plays one on one all the time. Good for highlights and crowd excitement but doesn't win games. Dawn was trying to teach her but she was playing like she was still in HS. She will learn nothing from Kim Mulkey. SC will still dominate the SEC and probably win the 2026 tournament. I see a rematch between SC and UCONN in 2026 finals. I wish Fulwiley the best. Big mistake!
