After seeing Nelly Korda’s WITB, I noticed she carried both a 5 iron and a 5 hybrid. That got me thinking about my own bag.
I always struggled with launching my 4 iron. So I added a Ping G430 5 hybrid (26°) — and it’s a total game-changer. It flies just as far as my old 4 iron (about 200 yards) but with way better launch and forgiveness.

Earlier in the year, there was an Instagram post on what Nelly Quarter was playing. I looked at it and so she carried a regular 5iron, but then she also carried a five hybrid. So, I was always I’ve always, for me, had problems with my four iron getting it way up in the air. And I wanted to try that cuz I was wondering why she was carrying a five hybrid and a 5iron. my five hybrid. This 5 hybrid, which is a Ping G430, I can carry it as far as my 4iron. This can fly about 200 yards in the air, basically what my 4iron is. Even though it’s a five hybrid, it has 26 degrees of loft on it. It’s a beautiful club for me.
