It’s strange that there aren’t more 2 piece Urethane options for golf balls. However I predict we will see more of them in the future. How does the Trust Panther execute this abnormal design? Let’s dive into the data and find out. We also have the Trust Aurora here. Crystal Urethane? Sounds like a gimmick, but it also could be revolutionary. Let’s dive right in!

  1. Man I feel like “smash factor” is only loosely related to ball quality because the equation includes ball speed but it is Bundt as much related to how well you strike the ball. Here is one definition I found that sums up what I have seen:

“Smash factor is a measure of how efficiently energy is transferred from the clubhead to the golf ball. It’s calculated by:

    text{Smash Factor} = frac{text{Ball Speed}}{text{Clubhead Speed}}

    Typical Smash Factor Values:
    • Driver: 1.45–1.50 (1.50 is considered optimal)
    • 7-iron: 1.30–1.35
    • Wedges: 1.20–1.25

A higher smash factor means more energy is transferred to the ball, indicating a solid strike—centered contact, good launch conditions, and efficient mechanics.”

  2. The eye contact at 13min got me 😂😂😂 I literally had Amazon pulled up ready to add to the cart and was waiting to hear the word till then 😂😂 appreciate the honesty 👊🏼

  3. I couldn’t wait to click on the transcript of this video to see how it spelled the description of the ball’s durability. I don’t think that the transcript nailed it. LMAO 🤣

  4. Hey you should try doing retro ball reviews.
Reviewing discontinued golf balls within the last 15 or so years. See how they compare to today’s balls.

  5. Cool "Good to know." Maybe at the end of the year, you can do a top 10 list of 2 piece gb's; one because they are more affordable affordable and two they tend to be less expensive than the three piece, and that seems to be consistent with your core beliefs of this channel and why I watch, it's just a thought. I want to see this channel grow because it helps so many people out in many different ways

  6. This was a great review. First of all as someone who reads all the comments, the leaf blower had me absolutely chuckling. Then throw in the random child demanding dad's attention and you leaving it in. Love it. Stir that macaroni and cheese with that putter.

And I've said it in other reviews and I'll say it here: It is very sad when there is a bad golf ball, particularly from a company we're all cheering for. But there is no more enjoyable review then when something is bad. Watching your face as the Aurora was hurting your hand on simple hits and the way you handled it was absolutely hilarious. Bad reviews make for good viewing.

You are a national treasure Nick. Change nothing.

  7. 😂 loved the leaf blower and photo bomb. At least your brutally honest! The Panther seems to be the ball the company can build upon. The Aurora definitely a scratch. Seems like an attempt to match Vice on eye candy. They forgot one thing the ball has to have DURABILITY along with performance of golf ball. Definitely a DUD !

  8. I played the trust bison v last year and really liked it, but the new model went up in price. I have now switched to the panther, and found the feel pretty similar between the two, but definitely have noticed it's been more difficult to hold greens with the panther. The review is much appreciated! I will probably try something like the top flite gamer next!

  9. As someone who made the Trust Power Bison V my main golf ball, I'm sad these are a little underwhelming. I'm glad you keep banging the Ionomer and Surlyn drum though! Keep it up! One of my favorite balls I played last year was the Caiton v4ld. And I believe that's a Surlyn cover.

  10. Was watching golf on TV while watching this review. PXG commercial about their balls came on and it was based on your review!

  11. well he's not wrong. that aurora has horrendous durability. its like each driver smash is a critical hit, leaving the ball paralyzed. it may even scratch the face. but man is it fun to watch in the air and easy to spot on a sunny day.

  12. Hey! I have another question. Just searching through your videos and I couldn't find the One Golf Company ball review. Did you not put that one out yet? I seriously thought you did….

  13. Great review Nick!! You know I’m in love with my Ultispeed but still looking for a 2 piece I can use on water holes and trouble drives.

  14. Interesting, for the Panther, buy 3 dozen get 1 dozen free, the actual price for a dozen is excellent and the results were not that bad. I would try the Panther.

  15. I was just watching the wilson triad review, I am afraid you might have test the 2023 instead of the 2025. Two reasons, one the 2023 box has a stripe on it, two 2023 is 85 compression while the 2025 is 80 compression 😮

  16. I am still trying balls, three piece urethane, yesterday I went back to a Chrome Soft 2022 version! This is interesting! Thanks Nick
