Is Mount Lawley the BEST Golf Course in WA?

Choppers, have a look at where I am today. This is Mount Lley Golf Club, possibly the best golf course in WA. I’m here playing the brand new layout. Completely changed every single hole here. This is going to be the first time you’ve ever seen this course done up. I’m going to break par. I’ve sorted out my putting. You’re going to see something special today. I’ve also got professional Braden McCubbing here. He’s going to be showing me around because I’ve not played here for a good 12 years. So, this is brand new for me. I need some help and I can’t wait to get out there. All right, we’re on the first hole of Mount Lolly. The ideal spot is short of the front left bunker over there. Um or you can bomb driver if you’re feeling confident. I don’t want to ruin the moment, but I had a putting lesson two days ago. Early chirp, mate. It’s one of those things like I’m I’m excited to give it a go, but I’m scared about what’s going to happen. Look, it can’t get any worse. Let’s be honest. All right, positive two iron. It’s very straight bunker. I think so. Well positioned bunker. Great new design. Got me first first hole, mate. Thanks for thanks for getting me on. That’s okay. Monday morning the course. No one’s here till midday. Correct. So, we’ve got the PL to ourselves. So, that allows the green staff to, you know, do a bit of maintenance and I’m getting in the way. Yeah, I guess so. You’re going to hate me, aren’t they? Yeah. So, Braden is the bloke that makes the head cover, which I’m sure Joel is going to put his pop big screen. Uh, yeah. The the major we did, you made that head cover. I did. And it was unreal. And I just don’t for the life of me know why you don’t do more. Uh, it it’s kind of cuz it just takes too much time. Okay. I’ll be honest. Like it cuz you know how it started when between uh as soon as you started this thing. Yeah. You made my first original cup. Yeah, the very first one. And then you got too popular and I couldn’t keep up. All the choppers out there. I reckon you do such a good job. I reckon it’s something. Yeah, you do. I appreciate custom oneoff stuff. Oneoff stuff. Not like I need 40 of these. That would be a nightmare, but you do a good job. A pretty uh nice little opening hole. Like not too hard. You just keep it in play. Pretty short. Clubhouse. Oh, look at that. Raz. Oh, zero R down the hill. All right, that’s going to test out the new stroke. That was a bit thin. Little bit shanky, too. It didn’t sound right, did it? Nope. Clink. Not the putt you want here. Little bit wet, so might be a bit slower, maybe. I’ll take that. Here we go. Hey, that felt all right. All right. Even path through one. Good start. Sun’s coming out. This is going to be good, Joel. Uh, hole two. This is Clut’s elbow. Um, it is a hard dog leg to the left. Um, you can try and bomb driver over the bunkers on the far left there, but you can just hit a 3-wood straight down the guts and then have a mid to long iron in. Does anyone tell you that you look like me? Most people do. Yeah, little brother. Yeah. Yeah, little brother. It’s not a look you want to go for. It’s like a Mario and Luigi setup. Hey, it’s me. I’m Mario though. Am I Mario? You’re Mario. [ __ ] yeah. Ah, you look like Luigi. I’m the forgotten brother. All right. Well, I’m going to go the 3wood down the guts here. Yeah, I tell you what. Spot. All right. You get that? I did. I’m feeling good. I’m feeling bloody good. All right, Luigi. Let’s see what you can do. 170. Okay. Go, go, go, go, go. Sit. Holy crap. You see that? I’ve hit just I’ve hit a couple of shots there. So, what exactly um what have they done? Like I know they’ve it’s complete Renault, but like it looks visually similar apart from the bunkering that I can tell. Yeah. So, the overall layout um shapes of the hole and everything haven’t changed. Um, but they’ve redone every single green. So, there’s new green complexes, like ups and downs, more pin positions and stuff, which is great. Um, they’ve add like added like it feels like a million new bunkers. Yeah. Um, how many bunkers? I don’t know. You said 50. Yeah, I said 50, but you had something. Yeah, it was it was a it was a very dwy morning. Going to be slow and then speed up as the sun dries them out. That was terrible. When the ball land, it had like the due line had it like this. So, I thought it was going to do that. I’ll take a par there. Honestly, like I was saying to Braden, this hole and the next hole were the only two holes I remember as a kid and they were absolute nightmare. So, I’m taking a par there for sure. 368 m par 4. Slight dog leg to the right. Called boomerang. Called the boomerang. It is. It is a boomerang. Think that’s fine. Down the middle. Good. That’s pretty good. That’s pretty good. Yeah. I tell you what, Bobb’s on today. Feeling good. Swing’s feeling good. Putting’s going to get there. Positive thoughts. 143 hitting up the hill. Amazing shot in there though. Have a look at that bunkering, man. That’s like I reckon you could lose your ball in some of that that long grass around the bunkers. That must happen, Braden. People losing their balls in the long grass around Yeah, they do. Yeah. Yep. Don’t hit it there. No, no. You smoking way too early here. Got to say that after you hit the shot. Okay. 143. I’m going to hit an eight iron. Come on. Ah, got you. Yeah. Yeah. I absolutely deserve that. Straight in the bunker. This is This has got to be up there as one of the best courses, I reckon. Yeah, I think you’re right. Just standing there watching the sun come through, it doesn’t feel like you’re in WA. The um bunkering where it’s like the it’s cut to the green. That’s the sand belt design. But equally as well, like the the fescue that’s coming off the side of it, it’s like two completely different finishes to a bunker. None of it I like. Long bunker shot. No green to work with. Shot, mate. Well done. Come on, little Razzler. Oh, that’s not got any spin on it. She’s out. You could try and get cute and try and stop it close, but I I could see it hitting that lip and coming straight back at me feet. How would you have played it? Bladed wedge onto the next green. Pick it up for a walk. Pretty sloping putt here from right to left. Distance control is a must. Still a bit wet. What do you think? To my right. Right to left. Oh, definitely downhill. Downhill. Okay. Wow, that was pretty good. I thought I’d drain that. Ah, bogey. Nice. Bad second shot, but we move on. All right, so this is the Commonwealth hole. Basically, the uh green looks exactly like Australia, and it looks like the flag sticks. What’s that? That’s like just south of Broom, probably. Yeah. Do you want a different golf club? Having um Oh, I’ve got me butter. So 140 downhill. Did they ever put the uh flag in Taz Tazzy? Now that is a Greenish revenge. That would be that would be horrible. If I’ve had a bad day, it was me last day. It’s going in Tazzy. Oh no. Sit down. Sit down. Oh my god. Oh my god. Indian Ocean. I’m near Ind. I’m near bloody Bali. Yeah, I’m in the I’m having a couple of bing tanks. That’s gone a m down. Yeah, I’ve hit it well. Pitchy. I hit pitching match. Did you? I mean, didn’t even bring me passport. Anywhere to miss it. Not there. Half tended to play like a bunker shot. Can I swing? Now, of course, on a par three, you can’t take a back. You shot, mate. Okay. Into the bank. Pop it up. Hit ball first. Oh, that just took a massive skid. Okay, we’re putting. That’s just such a bad shot off the tea. Ron, where am I? Wow. I for a second I thought I’d stuff that up. Bogey bogey. Two over. Very cool hole though. Love to try that again and do it properly. Dave, put the flag up there. Surely not. Uh, greens keepers of revenge. That’s genuinely where it goes. Yeah, that’s unreal. All right, fifth hole. Par five. The pines it’s called. 500 m on the dot. Dog leg left. It’s time for driver. What have I called me driver again? Ricky. Ricky. Oh, sorry, mate. It’s pretty long way. Just got to get it down there as far as you can so you can have a look at it. Right, let’s play smart. No. Uh, miss the green in the right spot. Oh, no. Hit the green. Hit the green. Give that a crack for once. Oh, Towey. I got a bit loose on that. That’s in the pines. Maybe a shot out from there. Yeah, you’ll be fine in there. This is a pretty intimidating P shot cuz it’s like jungle right and left. You would have had a bit more space if we’d hit off the white T. Joel, I asked to go for forward and Joel said I can’t. You can’t flip, mate. Yes, I can. Yeah, we can. Jeep is creepers. No, no, hold your pose. The people at home shot, mate. That felt good. I’ve started um every now and then I’ll just throw in a little tip while I’m playing. Yeah. Learn where the worst spot to miss it is. I have perfect example right there. Anywhere else on that hole is fine except where I went. Yeah. So when you’re picking a club, just go, “Okay, hang on. I don’t want to go long. Club down. Sacrifice. Get it into the middle of the green.” Yep. Yeah. Idiot. You hit a what do you like shoot a score or do you want to like we just don’t want to have a like that’s not fun. That’s not fun. Punting for birdies is fun. That’s true. Is it? How was it? It looked good. Okay. Uh actually very lucky. Scooted through. But now I’ve got to hit a big ropey hook. 250. Too far out. But I could Oh, bit boggy. Okay. Big rope and draw coming up. There it is. Roll, roll. That’s filthy. I’ve actually done quite well there. I’ve really hooked it around, but now I’ve got to play like a little fancy one. This is what I’m known for. Oh, that is up there. That is That was so safe. I Yep. At a better angle. Course knowledge, I guess. So, this is like one of my favorite parts of the course because you see like the pines’s green flows into the next to Dan and then you’ve got uh the trap just over there. Like it’s just when they did the redesign. I love how they just kind of blended all the different together. It’s it’s fantastic. Very cool. stiffed it downhill little bit left to right I think. Come on. Did that like go? I just hit like it I just didn’t hit that very hard. Did I? So all at home, what you do with that part is you hit it harder and it just goes straight in like that. Tearing this place a new one. Ripping it. Yeah. Mate, it’s not easy. Oh boy. 182 into the wind. Tough hole. What’s it called? Redan. Tons of room to the right. Why is it called redan though? Cuz it’s incorrectly kind of titled, I guess. Oh, right. Cuz a redan is like a hole that slopes away from you. Is that right? Traditionally. Sorry. You’re not a glossery, are you? You know what redan is? Insert Google image. Yeah. Short parts. Hit them hard. Can you say that when I go over the next one? Hit it hard. I’ve already got one job to do, mate. I can’t do too much more. Okay, fit. It’s like just left the flag, but it looked long. I hit it out the guts. This is a tough hole. It’s a long way. should have gone off the whites. Not too late. Oh, it’s in the redan. Come on. Just a nice little part to settle me down. No. Why is it always that far away? Every hole. How green reading? If you hit it closer on the first shot, I reckon that’ll help. Welcome. That was fun. I thought that was pretty good. That first part was a shocker. I didn’t if I stood here and looked at it I would have postmortem don’t care do you now move on hole seven the trap I’m in a trap right now mental trap uh we are having a crack it is a short path forward dog legs to the right it’s just let’s just go for it four over this is where I was born in the three putts we’re going to hit Ricky straight at Fade. Fade. Oh, bunker. All right. Up and down. Up. Up and up. I just wanted you to be in some fescue so you could play out of it. Yeah, cuz I’m having gone through some battles already. Let’s just add something to it. Okay. Come on. something inside 15 foot. That would be unreal just for like my mental state to be honest. Is it like that 5 footer again? Yeah, we’ll take that. Would have liked that to go in so I didn’t have to butt. All right, two looks at this. It’s probably what I don’t do enough. Look at it from every side. Read both sides. Shoulder tilt. That’s what I’m going to do with me putter. Shoulder tilt. Rory job. I’m going to do it with me putter. Okay, one went in. That feels That’s much easier. Hole eight the plateau par five apparently uh brain was telling me tier Hatton played here and the bunker on the left he flew and you don’t fly that bunker apparently didn’t give it a crack there tier who cut I didn’t hit that right get over tier oh no I’m in hit that low I wanted a fairway Hey there. Hey. Oh. Do you play morning or arbo golf? I play golf once once a month. Oh, yeah. Okay. Um I’m trying to play a bit more. Like I played with the old man on uh Saturday. Yes. Just so when I come to a golf course like today, I’m not an completely. And as you can see, I’m pretty much I’m all over it. Absolutely. I hit the ball pretty well though at the start. You did. You hit a couple of really good threewoods. Regular golf is key. I mean, you just lose it so quickly. You You lose the touch. You just lose a bit of confidence as well. It’s just nice to know roughly the shape that you’re going to hit it. You grab your foreign out and it looks like it’s tiny like Yeah. Don’t be in the butt. No. No. That’s okay. That’s okay. No, I don’t want to be up there. No, I know. How did T hit it there? See, that’s the thing. Downwind. I don’t It was It was downwind, Braden. It’s downwind. All right. 9. Just get out. Get over that lip. Back in play. That’s a big lip. Hello. That was pretty good. Thank you. That was good. What you come to watch? Lay up some par fives. Oh, that’s frustrating. 92. Man, the pins are in these little corner spots asking me to go at it and then there’s a bunker there. Come on, do something on a par five. Big Australian man. He should be absolutely dominating. Raz, stop resing. Decent. I’ve had enough. I’m just going at it now. you like razing it back. Showtime. Is that the first green you’ve hit? Yeah. Or I think within like 40 foot. You can edit that in. I didn’t move. Dog leg left. Par four. Uh I’m trying to cover those bunkers. And a little shot in. It’s very inviting just to just smush it down there, isn’t it? Yeah. Local rule is that you can’t play it up the first hole. If you do, like two weeks suspension catch. Really? What if I snipe it left? If you accidentally do it. Yeah. Hope the members don’t see this bit. No, I won’t. All accidental shots down the down the first. You’re talking about me hitting it where I want to. Too much. Didn’t hear anything. I tried to hit a draw. I just overcooked it, but it might be all right. We’re going to get a couple of games in today. We’re going to hit the public track. I want to do like videos where you talking to me. Oh, sorry. Let’s go. I wasn’t listening. Sorry. Go on. So, I want to like It’s good to play these private tracks, but I want to go back and play some public courses and just see how see how we go. So the next one you’re playing, you’re going to play Savo against me, but then we’re going to I want to get some like good tour players on as well and see I want to see what they shoot at a public course. Well, the proam swing coming up here, aren’t they? All the best in Australia. Yeah. Yep. That’s go play some public tracks. Mar Park on a Friday afternoon. Pick any tour player that you want to play with like that’s coming over. Well, Matteas, I’ve done a video with him. He said he’s keen. He’s a player. He’s very good. Lovely one peaky, but he’s he’s big shot now. He doesn’t want to know who you are. I don’t blame him. Yeah. 94. I got hit like a little hook with a sandwich. I don’t think this is I reckon this is one of the best parts of your game. Like out of trouble stuff. Yeah. A hook with a 54°. Yeah. Like straight. I think cuz you’re forced to do something. You’re like this is my only option. Whereas when it’s like wide open, you’re like slice it, top it, hook it. Like you got 14 different versions of the shot. All right, put the leg back. I’m going to get a bit more shoulder turn. Pretty smooth because the ball go a bit further and a little bird to finish. That would be different. Different. Yeah. I tell you what, you’re dead right, Joel. Oh, how was that? Like that kicked hard. Did you watch that one? Yeah. If I back you in from anywhere, mate, that’s hit a lot of putts like that. Very, very close. Shot. Magpie. Okay. Three over. Nothing special. Nothing good. Back nine. Got to go low. Sun’s out. Course looks unreal. Ron is going to go low now. Come on. I have to. Got no other option. Brand new start. We’re playing the 10th, which is nickname the 10th. How’ they come up with that one? Um, dead straight looking par four. Let’s get one in play. Big positive nine holes of golf coming right up. I think I’ve That be okay. Is that all right? Yep. Yep. A chicken stick. That’d be fun. Chicken stick down the guts. I miss you saying chicken. Yeah. Well, that was a chicken stick. Oh, we look like we know what we’re doing. Which side do you like better, front or back? Uh, probably back. Probably back. Okay. Easier. Yes. Suits me a little bit more as well. Come on. Where’s me ball? All right. 115. But the wind’s in me face. Smoothie pitching wedge. Green part. Fist pump. Just a fresh start. It’s a good spot there, though. That’s fine. You can putt it from there, mate. Every time I hit a wedge, I just like like I don’t move. If you’re hitting the pools, that’s what you’re doing. And then you’re here. So, when he mate tells you to keep your head down, tell him to shut up. It’s not a thing. All right, just a tap in length would be great here, Ronnie. Gravy told me to chip it. You’re fine. Put the camera down. Gravy, give me the camera, mate. Nah, that was always in. All right, here we go. About time. Well done. Hole 11. Dog leg left. It’s called over the hill. Well, they pretty imaginative here, aren’t they? Yeah, they do. Molly. Um, right. I’m feeling good now. It’s amazing what one shot can do to a golf game. And it can work both ways. Downhill, uphill, over the hill. Perfect. That felt good. How good’s Bobby been? Perfect. Bobby’s best on ground. Yeah, I’m feeling good now. Well done. Feel like something’s going to happen on this night. Every time I play, I reckon I do this all the time. Like I’m just over par for the first six, seven holes and then I I figure it out and come back. You want like a mountain to climb? You want like a comeback story? Well, you got like you like a might as well have a crack like have that. Whereas if you’ve started well, you you go the other way like how do I just hold on or Yeah. I’d love to be in that position to know what to do. No, I’m um playing this afternoon against Joel. I’m going to absolutely rip him a new one cuz I you haven’t won for a long time and I just want to How is his handicap? Yeah, I know. We’re going to play a public course. It’s going to be He’s going to probably shoot sub 80. So, I’m going to have to go stupidly low, but it’s going to happen. Okay. 119. Absolutely spot on with the T-shot flag hunting. We are I’m going nuts on this D sling. Sling spin. Brain literally told me not to go long and that’s all I’ve done. No, that’s how you hit it softer. I just belted the crap out of it. Yeah. Sharp. That’s so hard. What did you hit? Pitchy. Yeah, I hit smoothie. I didn’t do smoothie. I did big Australian man. Pretty terrible spot to be, but we’re going to go on a bit of a roller coaster ride up on that hill. Trickle it down. Oh, good. That length. Every time that breaks I hit that where I was aiming bogey gave it straight back. I I reckon I do that. Do you do that? Oh, hang on. Wrong person to ask. Do you make a birdie and then you get a bogey straight after? Yeah, absolutely. I do that every time. It’s an emotional roller coaster. Yeah. Good for the channel though. No. No. Right. Par five coming. I’m getting angry now. Right. Par five, 12th. Dog leg to the left. Called the long straight. Don’t look at me. What’s going on, Mount Lolly? Sort it out. Apparently a te box is over there. A straight. What would you call this hole? Long bend. Yes, that was terrific. Yes. Yes. I can do this bit. Laying up. Yes. 204 m. Little fade required. Have hit a draw all day. Should be good. Middle of the green. Fade it back. Get another birdie. Come on. Big fight back. I thinned it, but I reckon that’s mint. That’s not great. Stay there. Wow, I didn’t hit a groove then. Would have sounded pretty good though. That hurt. Can you The camera pick that up? No. You need to go and run in there. Look. Ready. This is me line. But if I go slightly and then back up the hill, big swale in the middle. Be there in a moment for some. Hey, not bad. Birdie bogey birdie. This is a roller coaster nine. This is what you tune in for though. Right, back to two. Going well. Right, hole 13. Paper bark. This one should be called long straight. I know. Just putting in me suggestion. All right, that’s it. They won’t be allowed back here if you keep going. They don’t normally let us come back after they’ve realized their mistake. Right. Last time I’m going to play this hole. Let’s get it done properly. Uh, right. Come on, birdie. And then maybe follow up with another birdie. Have a go at that. Let’s try that for something. Hold hold. Big bounce left. Hit a paper buck. That’s big bounce right. I said left, didn’t I? you. Yep. Big bounce, right? Okay. Oh, power cut. Power cut. Have you um you hear I got a we got a podcast now? I have heard about that. You listen to it? I have. My dad actually introduced me to it. Really? You got a shout out? Oh, yeah. I did. Yeah. Yep. Yeah. No, it’s good. Every Tuesday we go down to um Back Chat Studio and we just talk about golf. me. Um Joel Hamish bro Hammer. Yep. Good fun. Like pretty nervous the first time, but sure. Now we’re getting the hang of it. Thinking of things during the week. You going to Yeah. You going to run out of things to talk about or No, but we get the topic I’m bringing up this week. Who’s the goat? Tiger or Oh, Jack Nicholas. What? It’s Tiger. I mean, you can’t compare them though, man, because they existed in different times of golf, right? It’s just Tiger’s the greatest. Tigers. Tigers conquered like golf when there was actual athletes in the game as well. Oh, okay. So, that’s the line I was going to go down. I don’t know. I I I did some research and then like Nicholas record is ridiculous. Yeah. But then who is he playing against? Correct. The the equipment even like the state of the golf courses like they’re so pristine now and they probably wouldn’t have been when he was playing. Yeah. Yeah, that’s true. How hard is it to compare? I don’t know. You only got to If you’re watching this far, who do you reckon is the goat? Tiger, Jack, or Ron? 149 9. Yep. We’re going up. We’re going We’re going to follow a birdie with a birdie or a p. Just going to give it a I just want to see what it’s like. That was a big ropey one that one. Maybe pretty good. Yeah. You reckon you’re shooting around here? If I was to play here, um if I broke 90, I’d be happy, I think. But you know what? I’m streaky. Sometimes I hit greens in red. And as long as I don’t have to chip, I’m fine. And these greens, I do think the greens are pretty big here. You’re just You’re making it look tough. Oh, you’re making it look really tough. This is proper nightmare fuel for me. I’d pick my ball up and go home once again. Not good. But going to go with a little uh little flopper. Open the face. All right. Sit down. That’s not bad. Stop. Just don’t hit it there, Ron. in the first place. You know, when I got that putting lesson, I forgot a massive part of it. My my right arm is meant to be like this, not like this. Well, just so you know, this is really nice visually. So, if you can just drop this part, right? So, put like that. Right arm has to go in like that. Tommy Fleetwood style. Dirty bogey. Pretty exciting. Oh, you know what’s going to happen the next hole? Double 14th hole. Pump house cuz you’re about to see your driver get absolutely pumped. Oh, hello. Jeez. Take that back. Uh, tree line. Pretty straight. Just got to get it through these trees. That’s close, isn’t it? That’s a shoot, right? This has to go straight. Little fade. Oh, that was like a stinger. There’s the fade. That is perfectly what I want. All for the rest of my life. That’s all I want. Dutch shot. 114 pin is hard on the right. It’s saying stay away. It’s saying don’t go there. It’s saying there’s trouble there. We’re going at it. We’re going straight at it. No one wants to see middle of the green stuff. We’re going up. We’re going in. We’re making birdies or we’re losing golf balls. 50° actual smoothie though. Oh, I’ve gone middle of the green. Oh, that is safe. That is smart. It’s not what I wanted. I wanted stupid thing going where I’m like, do you see that? Like I just someone’s bolted down leg side and I’ve just whipped it down there. She’s slippery. Feels left to right to me. I don’t know what it is about it. I feel like it’s a little bit left right. Feel like they’re getting quicker, too. Sun’s out. Yep. Pushed. Like every pot I have has a little leak and I just don’t play for it and I miss it, man. I just the same part. Don’t even touch the hole. Useless. Hole 15. Par three. Bunker hill. Straight in the hole. No putting. None. Look out, Joel. Just go in. Just go in. Just go in. Just go in. He just He almost went in. Wow. Now we’re putting That wasn’t the game plan. That went straight down the pipe, didn’t it? Yeah. I thought that was in heart rate was just pick like just be bad or good at golf. I just far out bit of everything today. Back to three over. I got no idea what’s going to come up. Keep it exciting though. If that went in, I would have been happy to go in and grab a beer and yeah, just call it a day. Very much so. But we didn’t. We move on. 16th uh par four dog leg to the right. Birdie the last know it’s coming. I think that’s okay. I’m sit down. Fine. Great. Yeah, man. It’s okay. Yeah, man. It’s fine. Absolutely. Yes. Yes. I think it’s okay. You don’t like honesty on this channel, do you, mate? No. Start now. Unlucky. You get trait. Draw a bit. Draw a bit. Draw a bit. Get up. Get up. Go in. Loves it. Yep. We got thumbs up. Right. Come on. Just follow a birdie with a par. Then we add some sand. Look. This is how you do it. Chop it in and sprinkle a bit. Too much. Too much. Oh, new fairway bunker. Thanks, Brad. Come on. Courageous P. I’ll get the flag, Joe. I’ll get the flag. Just got to get on with it. Don’t think about it. Back through path. Yes. 195 me par three. This is a beast. Wind. Not a strong wind, but slightly into our face. This is called the roadway. Why? Where’s the road? Where on the left there? There’s a road and long. Okay. Well, I’m going to hit a four iron. And I tell you what, if I hit the green, that’s that you’ve done well. What a monster. That was a good path. That sometimes that feels like a birdie. Chipping out, getting a part. You feel like you’ve worked hard, but you got away with one. Oh, Jesus. Keep me. That was pretty good. That’s an epic shot. That’s a good shot. So good. Did you watch that one, Joel? How do you think your game is going today? I’m hitting it well. Putting again, but it’s like definitely like that putt felt better. Oh, imagine I’m trending. Imagine coming in like this little pot bunker on the back, right? So, you’ve done all this effort to get up towards the green. Hit a 200. Take a four. Time to go home. Didn’t hit it high enough. I knew it did that and I’ve just smoked it at the hole. You don’t even think I’m just going up on whack. That’s the job. Trust it. That wasn’t the great first part, but I’ll tell you what, if you gave me a three on the T- box, it would have taken it pretty quickly. One to play. Par five. 18th hole. Par five. Named home. Go to your home, Paul. Go to your home. Come on, Ricky. Straight down the guts. Big big drive to finish. Wow. Oh, that’s a very nice bounce. Is that okay? Yeah. Yeah, it’s a you’re not going to get there in your next shot, but Oh, okay. You’re going to find it. You’re right. I found it. I’m trending. All right. You might be in a bit of trouble, Savo. I know you always do this, man. You play shocking in the first game and then little beer. We having a beer. Oh, 100%. Okay. Uh, mate, thank you very much. It’s absolute pleasure, Ron. Anytime. Kind of. Anytime. Yeah. You’re um I don’t know if you want to try and get your own look. Oh no. That’s why I steer clear of the wide rim, I reckon. Yeah, it would be uh it’d be hard to tell the difference. I don’t think a pink shirt would work on me either, but this course is unreal. It’s like Joel was just saying, it’s one of those courses like on the ground it looks better than from a drone footage. And normally it’s always the other way around. But a lot of fun to play except if you’re stuck behind a tree like you said. God Yeah. Yeah. No, look, it is a very very fun golf course. I think if you know how to play it, um you know which side to bail out on and yeah, you can have a pretty good time. Greens weren’t quick today, but if they are fast. Yeah. Right leg back, full shoulder turn. Whip one off the pads. Got to go a mile. Got to go mile. Got to go mile. Got to go mile. Did he get over that bunk? Might be all right. Yeah. Oh, okay. Did you get it? I was going to say I didn’t start it far enough. Left. The last time I played here, I was like 14 and I was playing B-grade pennants. Yep. Three up after 9. Um, lost the plot. Came down the last the team. It’s like four all or something like that. I didn’t know. And I sunk like a 10-footer to win it for B. Wow. Everyone was around the green and now you’re in C grade. Now I’m Cra. Uh, need to go with a bit of a flopper here. Come on. Big birdie to finish. Big gallery finish. Soft hands. Slide it. J. Hey, who’s that? You’re in trouble, mate. You are in trouble, Savo. Oh, he snipped it as well. We figured it out, Braden. I’m just going to say me thank you to Mount Lolly now because if this misses, I’m happy to stop it. Thank you, Mount Lolly. Now, watch this part. Yes, I’ll take that. That back nine was something else, wasn’t it? Amazing golf course. Best in WA. That’s the best in WA. There is another one we haven’t played, but they won’t let us. So, this is the best in WA. Can’t put that in, can you? Yeah, you can. Yeah, you can. They don’t watch it. Thanks for watching. Subscribe. Did I ruin the shot? Yeah. Heat. Heat.

  1. Course looks absolutely magnificent. That was an easy 36 points Ron lol. Putting sorted hey Ron!!! 😂😂 congrats another great video by you,Joel & Grady. Bring on the next one.

  2. I honestly rate the renovated Mt Lawley over Karinyup after playing both a bunch this summer. Glad you got out there. Awesome course.

  3. On the Tiger / Jack topic, for me it’s Tiger, yes Jack’s record is unbelievable, even more so when you think about the equipment etc he was using during his time, however Tiger literally changed the game when he came along!!
There’s strong arguments for both, so it comes down to personal choice, so I’m going for Tiger – Jack – Ron!!! 😂👍🏻

  4. My favourite big Australian man. That cracks me up every time you say it. Thanks again guys. Your vids are my favourite way to wake up Sunday morning.

  5. Is this the same brayden that used to work at Marangaroo golf course? If so, I'm pretty sure I got a lesson from him before COVID. Small world

  6. What are your favourite 3 phrases, That Ron will say on a round, in no particular order. Min Are fist pump, big Australian man, backside😂

  7. I had fun and cheap juniors lesson's here when I was a young lad and it was primo then and looks incredible now. They would give us lessons and then lets us play as many holes as we could after 3pm. The new bunkers and fescue looks heinous!!!

  8. Tiger 100000%. Also Lawley looks PURE! Will have to play when I get around to WA! Gonna start a channel and I'll be versing you before we know it!!!! 2 big Australian Men Fighting It Out. Got some work to do though, not quite scratch golfer lol 🙁

  9. Make a Video with Matt Health vs Ron Chopper where Matt just commits to every putt and has strong mental.

  10. I came across your channel about 6 months ago and have watched all your videos, being a chopper from the south of the river.
The production quality increase from the start to now has been insane. Props to Joel ( & Gravy for the helping hand)
Also Ron, entertaining and funny as always. Keep up the great work fellas. A+
