SURFSIDE BEACH, S.C. (WPDE) — The annual Memorial Day Golf Cart Parade is on Monday!
At this event, participants decorate their golf carts in red, white and blue for a chance at winning prizes.
The meeting point for the parade is at the corner of Dogwood North & 14th Ave. North, and the parade starts at 11 a.m. The route goes from 16th Ave. North to Ocean Boulevard and down to 16th Ave. South.
Because of the parade, Ocean Boulevard will be closed from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. on Monday.
Organizers said winners will be crowned at Neal and Pam’s following the parade.
Those who wish to participate in the parade are encouraged to register in advance here.

They also said there will be a Memorial Day service to honor the U.S. military personnel who’ve died while serving in the United States armed forces.
It will be held at Memorial Park (corner of Surfside Drive and Willow Drive North) at 2 p.m. on Monday.
