oh it’s six iron do matter okay yeah so six iron for gym up here is probably a 230 Club no joke want me to just hit one yeah you get your mic on yeah yeah just do your D like just hit a shot down range like it counts like you’re trying to beat me in a contest little skinny okay my turn all I want you to observe guys just observe then we’ll talk about it Jim your turn nice tell you but can I can I do one the what we normally see now you want to do you want to do what we see I’m going to do one remember that and I’m going to do one on on what we see the routine and you guys are going to tell us the differences in what you see okay that’s all right okay it’s closer to the hole it’s yeah so you saw four Dudes hit sh you know two guys hit four shots what do you what did you notice there guys were we standing around much hit no shots no we’re all athletes okay we’re all athletes mon Orman you know Brian asked me this question he’s like Martin you’re really into routine yeah because it’s the only thing that saves you when you’re freaking out inside it’s the only thing and so the what you saw Jim and I do here was Prime swings you know I’ve got my feels I’m kind of fighting through and working on constantly there’s no Tour player ever that goes yep swing it perfect ha got it right now own it a baloney even Tiger goes no no never owned it he said Hogan did I don’t know that Hogan thought he did he said Mo did Mo definitely knew he did but he also worked his tail off every day to to keep the the Rhythm and tempo of his golf swing okay so what you saw like Jimmy’s going through it okay and so you he’s also like if he had driver right now you could fly those kids or fly the people at the end of the deck in fact maybe I’ll hit a few hard ones for us later you know where we got to go we got to go to the back of that Turf thing down there cuz we played the other day he hit it he it’s Fades 375 okay it’s crazy okay but just hey that’s athleticism for you it’s awesome big guy flexible fast okay now we can all be our own best golfers now we’re going to try to motivate you guys and this is the thing miss it quick not a crazy rush but miss it quick and so when you go like say I kind of walk the you know Walked the Line I said all right Dante Dante is very strong very angular you know he’s got all these angles faces wide open you’re fighting a slice dude you feel like the ball’s going to rip off the planet to the right okay cool right so now in your primer which is a practice swing here’s our kind of play Bo our think box or play box now you’re going to be like all right I’m not going to be so angry I’m going be way more scolded dog buns under me very conscious of my grip and very conscious of my face so your primer might look something like that’d be it okay that would be your primer that’s you training in your commitment to your postural correctness a new grip a face that’s going to be delivered a bit more a bit stronger fair and we do that every time we hit a shot doesn’t take long make sure you don’t hold people up but just when you had a chance you know you’re going to prime a couple times Pros do we all do you guys should okay going to the other end lefties okay you guys are amazing I’m I’m thrilled but we’re just trying to get this club and you know your case both of you guys have a little are developing pretty good back swings then it gets carried with your rotation back to the ball and gets a little steep and now do you think you’re going to release that club face wouldn’t make any sense with it you’d hit it into the ground what do you think you have to do hold it off a bit and add a little bit of you know blocky chicken wing right okay that’s your move too man right so you see we’re we’re all and now so their primer might feel something like Jimmy’s already got mic going there something something that feels a bit more down where the toe can circle around a bit you know where you can feel how I’m not trying to flash my hands over but in my primer I can feel like in party with my rotation I can have the club freely pass me freely release that’s a beautiful feel I don’t have it all the time some days I do some day most days I don’t okay you can fight it around the golf course pretty good but it’s not always free okay developing your rotation you know we’ve got this right eye dominant thing that really limits your turn you know can we go okay I got two days to just kind of go Ramone brobo you have no idea who that is played it on BYU uh when I played college golf so 88 to 91 good player he was from like I don’t know Thailand or somewhere anyway Mormon guy played for BYU really good player golf swing I swear looked like this nothing was like even looking at the golf ball and we’re like got to know him a bit I’m like Ramon do you even like see the ball he goes I don’t know shot 67 today you know what I mean like who fixes that nobody you know the guy and so messing around with your ability to kind of free up your vision you tracking big deal okay Kev so I have no problem with aiming into your target line we teach lots of people over 50 to aim into their target line why do I why do we um Big Jim and I teach people to aim in their target line a little bit cuz sometimes it’s just way easier to hit a draw aiming into my target line you know a ball that it didn’t hit it that solid but you could see the shape of it wasn’t a you know a crop Dusty fade that didn’t have anything on it did it okay so when we have a Target line here the white stick and I’m aiming into it versus aiming away from it it gives me a a opportunity for a path to come from the inside a bit so it’s not a bad way to go so you did it I’m like interesting okay but you know what’s happening with you is you’re aiming into it and it’s still kind of going out and open right so we got to we got to get a little bit of a face awareness so the face is a little stronger so you don’t hit peelers when you’re aiming into the target line because you really you should be able to hit pretty strong ropey draws from there like pretty far too because your speed’s good okay Keith you were massively consistent out there okay you hit this tiny little quarter inch thing three or four times in a row with the driver too five time that’s consistent man I’m not that good I can’t hit it on there that many times in a row right it’s way easier if we hit it over here though okay so sometimes guys we get into a visual awareness where I even stopped him and pointed out to him that he was on the heel and he goes okay I’ll get it on the toe and what did he do right back to the heel why cuz we go to our it’s it’s our it’s our un fortunately we get in this spiral of comfort that doesn’t help us and then you need a pain in the ass coach like Jim I’m nice Jim’s a pain in the ass to help you kind of identify it and we’ll give you some exercises that are awareness exercises avoidance exercises to kind of teach your eyes hey this is really where my club swings it’s a pretty good swing by the way okay there’s some setup things I’m not crazy about with you I want to narrow you up and flare your feet a little bit more okay but you just you swing the club nicely it just doesn’t swings doesn’t swing where the ball is okay so that’s a big deal right obviously you just hit a drive I don’t know 340 was awesome smoke show down there who’s that Brian oh yeah murdered it okay one was smothered I made him hit two because the first one was like you stood over it for probably 15 seconds you know what I mean bird pooped on you bird flew in got comfortable pooped right we can’t do that we you got to walk in like an athlete look look look waggle waggle like Mo miss him quick okay average average from the start start a walk into impact for tour players 10 seconds it’s not very long guys and Jim and I are you know probably in that range Tigers was a little slower than that you know Nicholas may be a little slower some guys are what’s the what’s the Australian guy’s name 4 second guy uh Matt Jones Matt Jones so watch this I so count one 1 1000 it’s about 5 seconds so count it off give me start me in zero and go 1 1000 2 1000 3 1000 4 1000 5 1000 that’s literally how he takes a look that I swear that’s how he hits every shot a lot of a lot of the times the cameraman when it’s his they miss it because he hits it so fast so when they goes here’s all right here’s Matt Jones he’s Australian the ball the ball’s like already in the air because he does it so fast like the yeah so I’m not saying it be that fast cuz that’s like crazy fast but did you think he has much time for out you see what I’m saying but what he does do is he’s still back here making his decisions where he’s going okay I’ve got whatever a six iron um uphill 10 what so he gets his number okay I’m going to hit this shot there here’s the feel he does all that here and then when he decides he go he’s not thinking about all that stuff within the 4 seconds he does when he hits it but so the decision making takes more than 4 seconds but once he decides it he’s like okay it’s this yardage that shot there then he goes in and hits it where unbelievable yeah it’s pretty most guys it’s like a little more chill a couple more a couple Waggles in a look and why are Waggles so important guys because you know I talked to my group out there the game is separated by time every shot’s 5 minutes apart 7 Minutes 4 minutes 8 minutes delay at the turn whatever it is right so every Club you pull you got to re get reacquainted to that club and so the reason I’m harping on you is cuz you walked in and you like to set that guy and then you like to do this that’s when the birds fixing the land on your shoulder and poop okay there’s there’s no I don’t want that I want like let’s get you can walk in one-handed many good players do then they pair their hands tip over and they’re always in a state of motion Bird’s like I’m not landing on that guy but I’ll go find Keith you know what I mean and so there’s always this pressure in these comfy feet waggle waggle then there’s an athletic event that gets things going and that’s where I want you guys to start to recognize your athletes playing a game that takes one minute to play one minute yep all the golf you’re going to play in a day of golf and four hours on a beautiful course like this all the shots take one minute crazy cuz they’re all 1 point something seconds long 1.2 1.1 1.0 If you’re sort of quick 1.3 maybe for some ladies you get my point it’s it’s over in a blink and you only take 40 45 shots that adds up to 1 minute of of a athleticism now there’s the other stuff of chipping putting lots of thought figuring out execution but all the silliness of golf the fun stuff making putts is fun too chipping close is fun too but flushing iron shots to your point like that nice little carved shot into the green the flushed ones all that in the day of golf is one minute and so you got to be an athlete prepared for that 1 second event 1.2 you know a tour player is 1 point1 1.3 if you’re really slow so how much thinking can we do in 1.3 seconds guys nothing okay so you see the importance of what goes on back here is such a big deal and it’s what’s and and Brenda’s been here before and so is Mike I harp about you know all this kind of thought about what happens be before you hit the shot and then when you make your mind up it’s okay you live with your decision good or bad I’m doing this go you know walk in put a couple Waggles into that club you haven’t hit in half an hour aim that face take a look set those feet take a look hit it and then reflect review it was it good Yay good for me it was it bad oh stop don’t go in the bunker or Worse right okay so you see how that’s where the playing part takes place how Sutton became an acquaintance of mine I got I was on his podcast a couple years ago I asked him a question at the end of the podcast I go what were you done differently Hal he goes I wouldn’t hit so many balls he goes I would have take I would have taken way more you know slow practice swing I’m like oh music to my ears would have put way more just hitting balls he goes I hit a lot of balls he goes I would have taken more practice Swings with thought and attention then I would have hit a ball then I would have come back out and then he goes I probably would have hit half as many balls and done better work and that’s what we want you guys to do it’s not about the and if you hit if you Mish hit it who cares ask yourself did you try did you try hell yeah good give yourself a Pat in the back can we agree that this little 3inch thing down here is not very big right it’s it’s got to relate to a ball somehow okay we’re going to help you figure that out but when it’s go time you know walk in and execute and review okay and it’s not like I want you to take us like a super wicked fast swing I don’t but what I do want you to do is once you make your mind up no waffling cuz the wa Ling when you invite that you’re toast okay miss him quick and hit it with conviction cuz if you can do that trust me you’re going to h a lot more shots you’re going to be pleased with when you’re standing over worrying about a ton of stuff you’re a mess you might get lucky and hit a good shot but you know internally you’re a mess I’d rather you just go through the process hit the shot and go hm that was okay or that was great or that sucked and then do it again all right guys so we’re going to grind for about a half half an hour now what I want to see with all you guys is um I’m going to take a I got to sit Keith down for a minute cuz he’s the one I haven’t taken a video of or talk to yet but Jimmy do me a favor do the Rockets with this whole group okay so the Rockets is a a staged event it’ be like this Jim and I are going to hit a shot roughly at the same time okay so we’re going to be barking at yeah Jim will be okay guys give me a or Jim you go ahead and Lead it all right guys Club off the ground par uh parallel to play take your practice swing above the ground now we’re going to stand on our Target line and the club is going to be pre-ripped in our left hand okay find your intermediate Target I’m going to walk in and pair the right hand and give it a waggle I’m going to tip over step forward aim the face I’m going to take a look I’m going to set the feet take a look waggle in a three two one go down and then holster we done this a couple times together but you see what I’m saying like I could have mishit it I wouldn’t have went and looked away cuz I’m making a committed motion to a finishing form guys maybe it could have been a little toey or Healy or skinny or chunky or whatever but I’m still making a committed motion to a finishing form I can have my dis my coach used to say wait three seconds before you show your disgust wait three seconds by the time three seconds you’re probably not that disgusted okay so some it’s going to be funny he’s going to start you guys doing this and somebody’s going to look away and disgust right away because everybody does and then you’re going to start to realize the more you’re you know conscious of letting the club go around you and rebound and here’s the club going around you don’t hold it there that’s weird let it rebound let it relax see how relax my arms are that’s how I want you looking after you hit a shot okay if your balance is you know you have to step out a little bit cuz your balance you have to step out but start to search you know why do you you know can you find your feet okay so you’re with me Jimmy’s going to walk you guys through the rockats and then I’ll have Keith join you hey gang thanks for watching my YouTube channel remember hit the
