I just imagine the ball as a clock I’m looking at, with 12 being towards the target. If I want to get into the slot I need to “feel” that the butt of the club on my downswing is entering the “clock” at 7 and I release through 1. Helps me keep the club coming from the inside and getting the ball working right to left. Same concept you’re speaking, but this is the visualization I need to make it happen.
